Nottingham has been an amazing place to live and study. In my experience as a student, the city offers the ideal balance of eye-catching sceneries, a thriving social scene, and top-notch academics. The university makes learning interesting and pleasurable with its diverse student body, state-of-the-art facilities, and excellent assistance. In itself, Nottingham is an amazing place to be since it’s predominantly a student city, and there’s no more comfortable feeling than being surrounded by your peers. This makes it easy to interact and make new friends. My favourite places to be in are the library, which offers an abundance of study spaces, and adequate study materials respective of your course, and the Nottingham Trent Student Union, my go-to place to cool down and have a meal and drink after a long day of classes, and The Arboretum, a small park 2 minutes away from the city campus.
Can’t go wrong with the facilities here on campus.

Thank you for your review of Nottingham Trent University! We appreciate your feedback. We pride ourselves on our wonderful facilities and are always trying to expand and enhance these spaces for our students.
As a second year student I’m happy to confirm this accommodation is wonderful and staff are very loved and kind
Its a good experience you find everything you need
I like my university and had great opportunities but some seminar teachers are not the best in terms of help
Just make sure you find a job with your studies my recommendation
Studying filmmaking at NTU has been an incredible experience, offering both theoretical and practical knowledge. The curriculum is well-structured, providing deep insights into film theory, history, and emerging cinematic trends. I have had the chance to explore new theoretical perspectives that challenge traditional storytelling methods, which has greatly enriched my understanding of cinema. One of the best aspects of my university is the access to state-of-the-art technical facilities. The recently built studios are fully equipped with professional-grade cameras, lighting, and sound equipment, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools. This has been particularly helpful for developing my technical skills and experimenting with different filmmaking techniques.

Thank you for your amazing feedback of our Filmmaking course! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the course and it helped you develop your skills. Students now have the opportunity to study in our new Design and Digital Arts building. We are proud to offer state of the art facilities. Best of luck in your future career!
I'm very I choose Nottingham Trent University for my Post graduation degree!
I enjoyed my time at NTU. I got into uni during covid and I thought I wouldn’t fit in because I was an international student however that wasn’t the case I was able to make friends and I got out of my shell by joining societies. Also, I studied law. It was a bit daunting a first but the stair and library were a great help honestly
It’s not bad I am having a good time and I am learning to be more independent
Nothing to complain about, love everything

It’s great to hear your review of Nottingham Trent University, thank you so much for spending the time to write us one. We appreciate you sharing your opinion with prospective students! Good luck with everything!
Positive environment filled with good facilities, a range of activists/clubs for all different kinds of hobbies and interests.
I love NTU for being so supportive in all areas.
I really enjoyed my Economics with International Finance and Banking course. The lecturers were knowledgeable and supportive, and the coursework was engaging. However, I felt that some modules could have included more practical case studies to apply theoretical concepts. Overall, a well-structured course with great career prospects! I stayed in a student accommodation, and my experience was mostly positive. The rooms were clean, and maintenance requests were handled quickly. However, the communal kitchen was sometimes messy, and noise levels could be an issue during exam periods. If you're looking for affordable on-campus accommodation, it’s a great option. Being a part of the student Society was an amazing experience! It helped me improve my public speaking skills and connect with like-minded students. The society was very inclusive, and the events were well-organized. It would be great to see more beginner-friendly sessions for new members."

Thank you for your positive review. We appreciate your feedback! We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed the academic experience at Nottingham Trent University! Our amazing lecturers are part of what makes NTU an award-winning university like no other. We are delighted to hear you are happy with our accommodation. We've been voted top 10 in the UK for accommodation (Uni Compare 2025), and we are now open to book for September 2025! I am sorry to hear that the communal kitchen was sometimes messy. Our students can sign up for societies via the Students’ Union. Therefore, you can have a well rounded Student Life. We wish you every success in the future!

Great university that provides many opportunities for extra curriculars, societies, and even work. The support you receive is helpful to ensure you don’t fall behind.
Good experience to be honest i enjoy my time there
The quality of teaching is excellent. Lecturers make an effort to tailor their approach if they see you have different needs. Additionally, language classes are offered as optional and complementary if they contribute to your career goals, I’m currently learning French. Getting involved in student life is easy; I joined a sports club and regularly use the gym. My life as a student feels well-balanced, and I feel confident knowing there’s plenty of support available if I ever need it. Overall, my experience at NTU has been exceptional, both academically and personally.

Im so glad I chose NTU. The support they have available for students both personally, and professionally is unparalleled.
I think the university really tries to help people feel included and prepared for life post-uni, and I think it works. I feel comfortable, safe, and understood here and I think the range of activities/clubs the university runs is a big factor in that.
Nottingham Trent University is an incredible place to study, and I could not be happier with my experience here. The university offers a perfect balance of academic excellence, modern facilities, and a vibrant student life. The teaching quality is outstanding, with lecturers who are passionate, supportive, and always willing to help. The courses are well-structured, with a strong focus on practical learning and industry connections, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their future careers. Clifton campus is fantastic, with state-of-the-art library, laboratories, and study spaces. The student community is welcoming and diverse, making it easy to feel at home. The university also provides plenty of extracurricular activities, societies, and events, making student life even more enjoyable. Overall, I have no complaints about NTU—it truly offers an exceptional university experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering higher education.
The buildings are all state of the art with so many facilities I have yet to explore and use. There really is a club or society for everyone, whether that's through the SU or university. I have loved my time and Trent and wouldn't change anything.
I’m in my second year of uni and it’s honestly been the best experience I could ever have even though this wasn’t my first choice I’ve never been welcomed into a place and supported so well. This university has provided so much opportunities for my course and pushed me to achieve the best in my modules with the best teachers ever I feel I actually have proper friendships with them all.
The campus and all of the facilities are very well taken care of, lots of things to do within the university and around the campus.
Amazing student union and constant support. Constantly getting informative emails from careers service. So many great opportunities such as NTU employability award. The new buildings at NTU are great but some of the old ones can be very confusing to get around, but the rooms themselves are up to date.
A good university to be in, everything they do it’s 100%.
brilliant university with wonderful staff and facilities
Amazing help from the university, welfare team do an excellent job. If I ever struggle, I know I have the Upmost help from Nottingham Trent University.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! We are happy to hear that you feel supported at NTU. We pride ourselves in being a welcoming community where all students can thrive. We understand that university can present many challenges, however our fantastic support team are here to support every student. We wish you every success in the future!
I started uni in September. I was terrified because people told me uni is hard and it is challenging but at NTU the lectures just want you to win honestly. It’s all about utilising the opportunities presented. They are always ready to help and explain. They go out of their way to make sure you have all the resources you need to tackle tests and assignments. They try their best to leave room for independent study but I can confirm that the myth about university teachers no caring is exactly that , a myth. There are also extracurricular activities just to get your mind of books for a bit . I’m on a music scholarship and it has been very helpful with my mental health here at uni .
Excellent university I highly recommend it!
As a first-year student at Nottingham Trent University, I have been thoroughly impressed with my experience so far. The university offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that has made settling in both enjoyable and exciting. From the moment I arrived, I felt a strong sense of community, with friendly students and supportive staff who are always willing to help. I am currently studying Biomedical Science, and I have found the course to be both engaging and well-structured. The lecturers are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, making complex topics easier to understand. The university provides excellent facilities, including modern laboratories and well-equipped study spaces, which enhance the learning experience. Beyond academics, the student life at NTU is fantastic. There is always something happening on campus, from social events to student society activities, making it easy to meet new people and get involved. The city of Nottingham itself is a great place to be

University has been really nice so far. Very welcoming environment with many activities and societies to partake in. You also get to meet people from all over the world since the student body is diverse, which makes you feel like you belong.
It’s been a mouth since I arrived at NTU Clifton campus. Living at the Peverell Hall of the student accommodation, I would say, I am well impressed with the level of facilities on the campus and the assistance from staff and other students. The university seems to be in synchronization with my dream of achieving an MRes in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Science.
Great people, great location, great facilities, wifi could use some work.

Studying at NTU as an international student has been a journey of growth, adaptation, and discovery. The academic rigor challenges me to think critically, while the diverse campus environment fosters cultural exchange and meaningful friendships. Adjusting to a new education system and lifestyle has had its ups and downs, but support from faculty, peers, and student communities has made the transition smoother. Balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal well-being remains an ongoing challenge, yet it is shaping me into a more resilient and adaptable individual. Every day at NTU is an opportunity to learn, connect, and evolve.

My time at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. As an active member of the football society and a participant in intramural football, I’ve had the chance to stay fit, meet new people, and be part of a vibrant student community. The camaraderie and sense of team spirit fostered through these activities have truly enhanced my university experience. One of the aspects I appreciate most about NTU is the excellent career support available. I regularly make use of the careers fairs, which have provided valuable opportunities to network, meet potential employers, and gain insights into various industries. The events have significantly helped me shape my future career path. Additionally, the campus itself is a standout feature. I love how clean and well-maintained the university grounds are. It creates a pleasant and inviting environment for both studying and socializing.
