It’s good, relaxed and the lecturers are incredible
Its been over 2 months now and being an international student I was worried about the accent the educational difficulties I am gonna face but truly I haven’t faced it yet. The module leaders and the course leaders were easily accessible to me as well as to other students that we ever felt ourselves in doubt they were always there to support us. I am writing this review after being completely changed from being an afraid international student to a confident Course Representative of my course.
My experience so far at NTU has been amazing and a learning experience.
Good location, close to pretty much everything. Facilities and teaching quality are good, the latter varies quite a bit depending on module though. Student support services could be improved though.
The university is very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They organise many events and encourage us to participate in it. The teaching staff is very helpful and good. The canteen, the lounge and every relaxing place in uni is very fun to be at. The events helped me make friends.
The uni has great facilities and my course specifically uploads all lectures online which is super useful
All in all NTU is a great place to study, it has plenty of employability advice as well as a good SU with events, gigs and student nights
Overall great university, not mush to complain about, good services and facilities.
Great uni, cares about students both academically and personally. Uni is at a great location with amazing night life as well as sober activities.
The university is overall a great place with amazing student life and lots of activities! Learning is made very easy with modules clearly showcased and amazing support from lecturers and other staff members. The societies are amazing. I am currently in the volleyball and oriental societies and they organise loads of events. The university itself is perfectly located at the heart of the city. Prime for nights out with your friends and casual outings. It is very safe and you can access the library 24/7 with security staff always available.
My experience at NTU so far has been incredible. The school has excellent facilities, from academic to students’ life are top notch and available to people from different backgrounds. The library has amazing resources to help with academic researches or simply provide a place to study
All the facilities at the uni are really well done and the students union helps the experience at the uni fell a lot more fun.
NTU offers a range of opportunities and events outside of academics and there is a lot of support offered for any students struggling/ needing advice for academics, wellbeing, finance, employability etc.
Lots of student opportunities with a great employability team.
My experience in Nottingham Trent university has been great so far, everyone is friendly and the environment doesn’t feel to crowded, it’s really easy to ask for help or to get help in anything
It is an amazing uni to be apart of , the amount of societies sporting and non sports is exceptional, its a great way to make friends with similar interests and to get involved in new activities that you may not of tried before university
I believe that NTU is an excellent place to build new connections as the seminars are engaging and there are a variety of events and social gatherings that provide a safe space to meet new people.
It has been a good journey overall
I great location with amazing views and societies. Good support system and is easy to find support when needed.
So far all good learning a lot and easy to meet new people for social life and can get help with basically everything with easy access
Really good facilities, teaching and social life.
The orientation helped me a lot for getting settled in. Im glad to be here.
Trent has such a good deal of opportunities and activities you can do as a student. As well as the societies, there is NTU arts, and, as a musician and writer myself, absolutely adore the workshops and opportunities offered with this. My course (music performance) is very good, though there could be some improvements here and there, specifically with the availability of the facilities. I am a course rep, and I have specifically gave my ideas for improvement to my course leader, who has said he will implement my idea to add more availability for the room bookings. Trent also has NTU sports, where you can get involved in clubs and workshops is if sport is more your thing. They also have loads of café spaces, like the student Union, Newton building, boots library and confetti campus (where I'm based at). Also, there are trent events, which happen every week, and are student night outs at different locations, so if you love clubbing and meeting new people, there is your opportunity to!
Really good!Good recption and a lot of events!like A HOME
Great 2 years at Nottingham trent
Add more societies on Clifton or city campus that are to do with arts/crafts/creative things, improve WiFi and service in some buildings
I really enjoy being a student at Nottingham Trent University. I also go to confetti as part of my course. I am a film production technology student and the facilities that I am provided with are very helpful as well as my lectures and tutors.
Quality university that gets everyone involved well, but employability could be better from my personal experience
The campus is quite far from crown place but overall it’s not bad
Alright uni, not much to complain about. Course is led well in my experience and the workflow is better for me than in A-Levels.
My experience at NTU has been positive so far. The modern campus offers plenty of facilities, and being located in the city centre provides easy access to all the bars, shops, and amenities. The university has a lively and inclusive community, with hundreds of societies, sports clubs, and social events to get involved in. The staff are both inspiring and supportive, and the employability and careers services are outstanding, equipping students with the skills and opportunities to stand out.
Good experience will reccomend everyone
Nottingham trent is among a few universities that is uniquely situated in the heart of the city, the facilities are well looked after and neat and the student social life is great. Teaching quality is generally good but some lecturers are not making the efforts that are done by the majority.
The laboratory and other facilities for my course are really good. The curriculum is well thought out except for this one module that everyone including me thinks it’s pointless. I would recommend living on campus because the Clifton campus is in the middle of nowhere so the commute is long. The tutors are supportive and there are other sources of support that are effective and easily accessible. The food in the cafeteria is actually delicious.
Throughly enjoyed my time. With great facilities and people
I love the Uni. Just not the accommodation
Thank you for your feedback! We're thrilled you love the university. We're sorry to hear the accommodation didn't meet your expectations. The campus provides everything that a university student needs but one negative point is the relationship between the students and the lecturers/seminar teachers.
Thank you for your review, we are really pleased to hear the campus has everything you need! To provide feedback for academic schools, please use the Ask NTU Form. As always we really appreciate your feedback to ensure the best student experience.

It is not too bad in Nottingham
I joined the gym at the students union and it was ideal, I just went in between my lectures and you get money off joining sports societies
Whether you're a complete beginner or a fitness fanatic, at NTU you'll find the facilities and support you need to get the most out of your training. The location of the gyms is great for popping in between classes and making the most of your free time. Thank you for sharing your view with our prospective students.
Best uni ever, so social met my best friends here and amazing career success rates. Staff are so helpful and helpful want the best for you, great facilities on every campus. The best city nightlife any day of the week (ocean THE best). 10/10 recommend to a friend!

NTU is a very big university with lots of opportunities to be social and access to lots of course equipment. The wifi and NTU NOW are down a lot which can be frustrating when trying to get on with work on campus.
Nottingham Trent University so far has been great, there are so many learning facillities and opportunties for all students. They are always trying to get more students involved in all of their panels (Student voice) and student buddy systems and always asking for more student opinions.
I love this place so much it make me feel like a home feeling I stay here for two years already and I will stay here for the rest of my education year
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review! It is great to hear you feel welcome and safe studying with us here at Nottingham Trent. We really appreciate this positive feedback!
NTU is really accessible and information about activities is well marketed. The facilities are outstanding and clean. There are a lot of international students so it feels like anyone is welcome here.
It's a really nice university the staff and student ambassadors are extremely helpful and supportive during the move in stage and even after that
Had such a good time so far at glasshouse
really enjoy my course and the location, looking forward to my final year
We are very pleased to hear you are enjoying your course and that you have enjoyed the experience of living in Nottingham. Nottingham is a great city for students with plenty of ways to get involved in events across the city and county. We wish you the best with your final year of study!
I’ve had a great experience at Nottingham Trent University so far! The campus is modern and has everything you need—great facilities, tons of study spaces, and a lively student vibe. The lecturers are really supportive and approachable, and there’s always something going on, whether it’s events, clubs, or activities. The location is ideal too, with the city center right on your doorstep, so there’s always plenty to explore. Overall, NTU has been a fantastic place to study, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone!
Thank you for your review of Nottingham Trent! We pride ourselves on our wonderful facilities and are always trying to expand and enhance these spaces for our students. Our libraries are a particularly great place to study as they offer all students access their resources both online and physically. Thank you for sharing your experiences with our prospective students.
Great uni would highly recommend
Loving the university so far, like any institution there’s always room for improvement but so far I have been pleasantly surprised.
I can tell NTU has put a lot of efforts into students. They do care about students' education and experiences. Going to NTU is the best decision I have ever made!
The student wifi is sometimes down as well as the NTU NOW which sometimes affects my studies. Although I didn’t want one, many of my friends planned on getting and applied for placements yet only one has received one. I think help for getting placements should be improved.
Campus is clean and tidy. Brilliant for my course as a student paramedic. Good number of societies, unfortunately most of them are based at city campus which means I've been less intrested in joining some because of the travel. The SU (The Point) is okay. I like how many pool tables there are but it's nothing special. Buying a drink from here is quite expensive except for on Thursdays.
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased you are enjoying your Paramedic Science course. I am sorry to hear you are put off joining some societies due to their locations. As you also mentioned there are lots of ways to get involved including the course societies run via the Students' Union or Academic Schools. We would advise if you have any feedback for the NTSU regarding the societies or facilities please do share these with them using the feedback form on their website.
Good university. Very friendly staff.
I couldn't ask for more. The lecturers and stidents are welcoming
The university has all the necessary resources and information you need and any help you may need.
Careers hub is very helpful. All university staff members are responsive and attentive.
Thank you for this great review of NTU! Our Employability are there every step of the way from the start of your course and up to three years after graduation to help support you in your future careers. You can always check their main pages for information about how to get involved in events, workshops and more.
It has been an amazing two years. NTU offers a lot of support on careers and wellbeing. There are a lot of opportunities offered so make sure to take advantage of that.
lovely campus, very accessible, university environment, ALOT TO DO!!!
Amazing facilities and easy access to resources. Such a fun environment and so much effort put into events and wellbeing.
There are loads of opportunities for student life and events around campus. Staff are very friendly and passionate about their course, they make and effort to get to know you. this creates an environment where students aren’t afraid to ask questions.
worth the money, in a really good location for students to walk to university
I’m not on the city campus but I love walking around. The Wi-Fi overall is good but in some areas around campus is lacks. The facilities are amazing and modern, only better thing would be free bus travel from the city
Thank you for your review of City Campus. As the main campus, there are lots of events taking place throughout the year for students to get involved. We have lots of modern facilities and are always trying to ensure students have access to the resources which will help them for the future. Although, we do not have free bus travel between campuses, Nottingham City Campus does offer discounted student bus passes which are great for those who regularly travel between campuses.

Hi, thank youu for your review. Whether you're a complete beginner or a fitness fanatic, at NTU you'll find the facilities and support you need to get the most out of your training. We have gyms on Clifton and City campus. We also have a partnership with a local leisure centre for those studying at Brackenhurst. There are also a wide range of other activities run by NTU Sport which can help students keep active and get involved.

It's a great student accommodation
So far everyone at ntu has been so helpful and welcoming. There has been so much information allowing me to feel comfortable and supported during my transition to university. The campus is wonderful and just a few minutes away from my accommodation. The staff are super helpful and are able to ask if I needed any help when seeming a little lost.
It’s great to hear your review of NTU, thank you so much for spending the time to write us one! We are pleased you are settling in well and feel comfortable. We try to provide students as much support as we can. We know it can be difficult adjusting to life at university. On campus, you'll find a Student Services Centre where you can go for information and advice. The advisers are always happy to listen and ensure you get the correct support for you.
My experience with ntu has been very good as they provided myself and as well other students with many resources as well as being very diverse and so it’s been easy to mix with people
Nottingham Trent University is a good university that has a lot of diversity.
