Crown Place Biography
Crown Place is strategically located in Nottingham with Nottingham Trent University just a short walk away and the University of Nottingham a quick tram ride away. Residence will have easy access to everything the city has to offer, as all local attractions are right on your doorstep.

Crown Place features a social lounge with pool table, air hockey and a vending machine, private study space, on-site gym, on-site AppWash Laundry, karaoke room, cinema room, gaming room with PS5 and Xbox Series X, table tennis room, private dining room and study canteen. There is a Bicycle Store room, and a large outdoor courtyard space, with 2 private courtyards available for cluister flats on the ground and first floor. Hope this helps!

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I love my room — its interior design is beautiful and pretty unique to other designs in the city. The courtyard is my favorite space in the accommodation! It would be great though if cleaning is taken my seriously and done my constantly. And it would be great if those who litter the accommodation are made to pay a fine!!!! Because it gets out of hand at time. I chose to stay here because of Alex and her attitude. She treats students very respectfully and cares about their comfort and safety, she makes this place feel like home. I’m going into my third year, and one important thing I learned THE STAFF can make or break your whole stay at an accommodation, and so if the staff that work at wherever you want to stay are not cooperative and compassionate — look for something different if possible. I’m looking forward to the rest of my stay here, it is already my favorite accommodation so far. Thank you Alex for your great service and respectful treatment of students.
Hi! We think our rooms are beautiful, and we are glad you agree. We are very lucky to have such a wonderfully large courtyard space which is very unique to Crown Place, and its one of my favourite spaces too. We have housekeeping on site Monday to Friday but do appreciate at times, especially over evenings and weekends, litter can accumulate. If you ever have any issues with litter come and speak to the reception or security team 24/7 who will be more than happy to assist. Alex has read your very kind words and was very moved by them, so thank you. The Accommodation is very good in terms of price and it has nice staff like Alexandra
Staff are really lovely which changes the experience, especially Alex. Location is great for NTU students and room and kitchen sizes are good.
My studio flat is very good value, clean and modern. The property team are well organised and super friendly. The problems I have had, have been dealt with promptly and the staff are easy to find or contact. Some of the residents are frequently messy and noisy but the property team have been proactive to remedy problems and keep the place tidy. The rooms seem to be very well insulated against noise from outside and from neighbouring rooms. There are lots of maintained social areas in the building, secure seating areas outside, and a range of social activities offered. NTU is about a 10 minute walk.

Management is kind and quick and helpful
Crown place is an amazing accommodation that has a lot offer. Regular cleaning and safe spaces around the accommodation. Comes with a lot of social areas as well has good security. Rooms are comfy and very spacious.
I really like living here so far! Moving in was quick, no problems there even though I was an hour too early because the traffic was good. The my studio room is big and light, everything is working and you can barely hear your neighbours. The staff is amazing and always helpful. I never had any issues with packages and the events are fun. I really enjoy the free breakfast on Mondays.
It’s worth the money and an amazing location
I love this place. It was by far one of the best accommodation i could have lived in! The amount of amenities and the management and security was so friendly and I love that I found a bunch of my batchmates over here which made my stay much easier and fun! Best was the cinema room and the open area which we have (its amazing for sunmers). Overall a great 50 weeks over here ❤️
Initially I had a not so great experience with this place, and realized it was because of the previous management CRM that was in charge, had many issues that were unresolved, weird experiences, such as contractors walking into my room without permission. HOWEVER With the recent changes, and the new management by Homes for Students, I have nothing but good things to say about this place, they fixed my issues that were pending for months within days! Friendly, kind and a very understanding staff, especially Jamie, and Alexa, I could not be more appreciative of the kindness they have shown me in the last few months of my stay here. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat now.
The new management team is more organised, very approachable and super friendly, always trying to organise different activities for the residents such as the recent ones, "yoga puppy" or "milkshake day". The building is a quiet place for studying which is vital for a student. Overall, a 10/10 experience.
Under the new management, my experience at Crown Place has changed drastically. I love it here and will most definitely be rebooking for next year!
