My stay at Straits village has been very comfortable so far. I especially enjoy the cinema room and the puppy yoga event that happens occasionally at the property. They have many more exciting events taking place every month. Rooms and kitchens are spacious and the staff here is very helpful with everything ! Would recommend 100%

Straits Village Biography
Straits Village is ideally located close to the city centre meaning you’ll have a wide variety of bars, restaurants, shops and clubs right on your doorstep. There are also numerous universities and colleges within easy reach, with Nottingham Trent University only a six-minute walk away and the University of Nottingham a twenty-two-minute cycle away.
There are fantastic events and social spaces for you and your friends to enjoy, such as a fitness studio, gym, private dining room, communal kitchen, cinema room, games room, outdoor area and a common room with TV. When wanting to focus on your work, you can make use of the meeting rooms, a study room and WiFi. The building is also equipped with handy amenities such as a laundry room, bike storage and vending machine. To ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible there is an on-site team, on-site maintenance, all-inclusive bills, CCTV, a secure entry system and contents insurance.

Big rooms, good location near Tesco and nightlife
Our location is great - easy walking to local transport, just over the road from the maining shopping centre. Its great ot hear that you think so too.

I found it hard to make friends with my accommodation. I tried my hardest but it was intimidating going alone and when I did say hi to people I didn’t get much of a response. The room is very nice with an en suite

The place is really good and friendly staff. They always available to help. They come up with stuff for the people in the accommodation like puppy yoga and something breakfast.

I was done with not feeling at home and Straits village Accommodation changed my whole Uni experience !! The manager Keiren and the receptionist Stacey made me feel so welcom and at home. Not only do they look after your housing needs but they gently cater for your emotional needs as well. Being a student is not easy but choosing straits to be your new home is the easiest and best choice you will ever make!! Make sure to book a room as soon as possible !

Very good student accommodation. I actually rebook my room for another year. I'm living in the studio room which is really nice and have generous amount of space. The place are located in the city center near Victoria Center which have bus station available to travel to uni. The common area is clean and tidy most of the time. The staff are friendly and very helpful! The accommodation provides some activities so student could gather together. I would recommend anyone to live here.

Has a posh feel and well-cleaned. There are private spaces for you to book to hangout with your friends as well.

Love living at straits, always host events. Took part in puppy yoga today, very therapeutic!! Staff are friendly and are familiar with residents. Very modern accommodation which I love, and so close to the centre of nottingham.

Not good value for money (no kettle, toaster, mop or vacuum and no cleaner which was advertised). Live near some shady characters too.
Hi - thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We do let people know what is included in your kitchens. Our vacuums are available to use from reception. We do have cleaners, they complete daily cleans in all the common areas of the property - the kitchens and bedrooms are your responsisblity to keep clean. We have never had any reports of our residents feeling that the people who live close are causing any nuisance.
Straits Village has been a slight disappointment, I would have expected slightly better facilities for the price, but the location is excellent.
Hello - we are sorry to hear this. We did not receive any negative feedback in person about our facilities. The Private Room and Cinema room are really popular and used on a daily basis, as is our gym. Our location being only 6 minutes from Nottingham Trent City campus is great!!!

Straits is a lovely student accommodation. Love the atmosphere here. The staff members are extremely friendly and help you at any given time. I had to move in alone, but the staff ensured that my move in experience was smooth. They provided all the help that was possible! Shout out to Sarah for being so lovely and kind to me right from Day 1. Highly recommend staying at straits :)
