A great and inclusive variety of student clubs and societies to get involved in
I am very pleased to have an experience at NTU. When I moved UK I was so confused by this new education system but with the support that NTU provides to the students is commendable. I would be lucky if I get a chance to study here for further more years
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at NTU, wouldn’t change it for the world. Nottingham city is the perfect balance of professional, party and general student life.

I remember coming to NTU for an open day, and initially, I was unsure. Looking back, I think it was my nerves about coming to university that were sinking in. But when I went to see other universities, none clicked for me like NTU. Since starting here, I feel like I have settled in so well, and I know that I have made the right choice.

NTU has been an amazing place to study. The campus is vibrant, modern, and full of great facilities that make learning and socializing easy. The professors are passionate and supportive, always encouraging students to reach their full potential. There’s a real sense of community here, with lots of opportunities to get involved in clubs, societies, and events, almost over 100. I truly believe that NTU offers a perfect balance of academic rigor and student life, making it a truly rewarding experience. I’m really enjoying my time here!

I had an exceptional experience at Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University! The courses were insightful, challenging, and incredibly relevant to the business world. The faculty is highly knowledgeable, approachable, and truly invested in student success. I felt supported throughout my studies, with ample opportunities for career development and networking. Nottingham Trent University is a great place to study! The campus is super modern with all the facilities you need for both work and play, from study spaces to chill-out areas. There’s a huge range of clubs and societies to get involved in, whether you want to try something new, meet new people, or dive into a hobby. It’s a great way to feel part of the university. The Students' Union is amazing – it’s organised, supportive, and always buzzing with events and activities. It really makes student life fun and helps you feel at home. The Careers Service is another big win. They’re so helpful with placements, job advice, and preparing you for life after uni – they really go the extra mile.

NTU has great facilities and a good range of courses. The teaching is decent and there’s a lot of support available if you need it. The campus is quite modern and there’s a nice mix of people, which makes it a good place to study.
NTU has been a great place to study one of the many reasons I love it is the accommodation which is amazing I am in new hall Clifton campus and the whole campus is just great and extremely easy to navigate with everything you need in one spot, everyone’s is very helpful and lovely

The Business Building and team are the best. The location of city campus is perfect next to shopping centre clubs etc
I am currently a SQE student in NTU. My experience so far hss been very positive. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable. The campus is modern with excellent facilities like a state-of-the-art library and fully equipped labs. However the sports facilities could use some upgrades. The university offers plenty of opportunities to join club and societies, making it easy to meet people. The career centre has been helpful in finding internships and offering resume workshops. Many companies visit the campus for placements. Overall NTU has provided me with a solid academic foundation and a vibrant social life. I'd recommend it to students for a balance of academics and extracurriculars.
I have received great support from staff whenever I had any problems and I’ve never felt like I don’t belong here. This has truly made a difference to my studies as an international student.
I fell in love with NTU through their website, I immediately knew I wanted to come here. When I did finally visit the city campus I was pleasantly surprised it was so clean and easy to locate. The facilities and classrooms are always clean with natural light which I find it quite important for studies. The wifi is not their strong suit but it still adequate for our work.

I've really had a pleasing experience in Trent. My degree is very complete although there are modules that could be better prepared. The facilities are good but the wifi is a bit bad at times.
A nice facility to learn in- but having to pay for parking has been hard meaning I’ve had to walk from 15 minutes away.Some lectures have been very supportive, some not so. The university tend to leave things until last minute.
really great for freshers with so much organized at the start of term in terms of events, freshers fair etc. Also so much choice for societies and sports clubs so there is something for everyone. accommodation is all in walking distance to the uni and city centre which is so helpful
It’s all just average / my course equipment is okay , but without a doubt needs more funding
I am currently a second year student and I have loved every moment I have spent at this university. The careers/employability team have helped me form a new cv to help me get the placements I may need/want for my future. Over my time at university I definitely feel I have made the most of the facilities available and have had loads of fun studying here!!

As a current undergraduate student at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), I can confidently say my experience has been exceptional. The facilities are outstanding, with state-of-the-art lecture theaters, creative spaces, and the amazing Boots Library, all designed to support every aspect of student life. The staff are incredibly supportive and approachable, always going above and beyond to help with academic and personal challenges. The teaching quality is excellent, with passionate lecturers who make learning engaging and accessible. NTU also provides fantastic services, including a dedicated Employability Team and well-being support, ensuring students have everything they need to succeed. The campus itself is stunning, with a perfect mix of modern architecture and historic charm, creating a vibrant, inspiring environment. From the incredible resources to the welcoming atmosphere, NTU truly offers an amazing university experience.

Great facilities and great teaching staff who are always willing to help.
Although it’s a very good campus for students that studies subjects that are animal related, the campus is a bit far away from city which makes it a bit inconvenient.

Nottingham Trent is a really good university which has opened so many opportunities for me coming from a low income family, they provided me with an international education for a month which I would have never been able to fund without them

Campus and most facilities are modern and state of the art. Some lecture halls are however not suitable for cold weather. They are freezing cold.
Only in the first half of the first year but so far it has been a good experience and I don't regret picking NTU. The only main negative i have with the Brackenhurst campus is there isn't too much to do socially as it is quite rural and 45mins on bus from the city.

Many places to socalise with friends, never issues with the wifi, close to campus and revision friendly
The university is absolutely amazing, this time last year I came for my open evening to do a tour of the campus, I had no intention on coming to university but thought I'd give it a look just incase. I came all the way from Manchester "just for a look" but that look... ended up being the best decision I ever made. Thanks yo the university and the staff I have settled in amazingly to my last minute decision, I have met some of the greatest people ever, friends for life actually, and I do not know what I'd do if I never decided to come for that open evening.

Nottingham Trent University is an incredible university filled with lots of fun experiences and valuable life skills. It has an amazing community full of helpful staff and talented students. My time at Nottingham Trent has been amazing and as a final year student it’s sad to know it’s coming to an end. The people i’ve met at university are so incredible and we have had an amazing time. The facilities at this university have everything you could ever need and more. There is hundreds of societies allowing you to join a club that sparks your interest and meet new people who share similar interests. The academic resources and support Nottingham Trent offers within your studies really guides you through any struggles you may face throughout your exams. I honestly cannot recommend this university enough, from the learning, the people, the campus, the facilities, and the city itself. It is a lovely place to live and by going to this university it really enhances your experience in Nottingham.
The university has a healthy and welcoming environment. There are many different activities (i.e. study sessions, extra-curricular activities) that are on offer and part of the university and this is supported by great facilities. The only thing that could be improved is the synthesis and communication between your in-person, general classes and recommendations to these clubs, sports, etc as it can feel a little daunting to join them as you have to apply/go by doing your own research if you do not have friends initially who are already attached to these activities. However, after breaking the initial barrier, all the clubs and extra-curricular activities, in my experience, are incredibly enjoyable and accessible even if you have never had any interest in them before.

I've loved my experience at trent, it's a really lively university. Everyone is really friendly, especially as a fresher there are reps and uni planned events and nights out to help get you started socialising. Loads of fairs and socities with a big variety, and if you dont want to join societies they have play for fun events and give it a go weeks. The campus is all close together and does have lots of space, especially cafes but because its a big uni sometimes places like the SU and library can get quite crowded. Although if you explore other buildings you can always find a space.

My experience has been great! I believe the university has a great balance of social life and academic support. Considering next steps after university can be quite difficult however NTU has the employability team, who provide so much support and lead you in the direction which makes things so much easier.

Nottingham Trent University has been an excellent place to complete my university degree over my 2 1/2 years of study so far. NTU offers a wide variety of societies to join, all diverse and accepting of many differing groups of individuals. There are many places provided throughout the uni for students to go in their own time and complete work, the library being the best of those facilities in my opinion. The university buildings themselves are all carefully structured and offer a calming and relaxing environment to complete my studies when both inside and outside the lecture halls. The location being directly in the city centre is also massively helpful for those on the city campus of NTU as it makes the campus highly accessible to the majority by foot, although if not there are many surrounding tram and bus stops. Overall my experience at NTU has been highly positive and I would recommend NTU to future university attendee's.
I can definitely say that as an international student coming from a different place , it felt really easy to adapt to the place as well as the people. There is so much support all around and for every aspect. 100% recommend this university.

Campus is nice and nice in a pretty area however only a few local shops that close early with little to no takeaways that deliver, wifi has problems that take a while to get fixed but overall decent

My student life as a student at Nottingham Trent University is very fun,engaging and with fantastic support from various different services provided to us. It has a good library with good access to facilities and much more. Good cafes and transport available to get to and from your desired campus as well

I absolutely have loved being a student at NTU. I had to switch courses midway through my degree due to health reasons and everybody was so supportive and I felt like they were with me every step of the way

Uni life is so much fun, with so much support from the university in so man areas; from careers to housing to general random questions and support. The facilities for sport and courses are incredibly good and open to everyone. There is definitely something for everyone here and it feels like a second home. The campus is the ideal location, close to the city but far enough away if you don't like the nightlife and its noises. It is always kept clean and everyone supports each other.

Student life at NTU is amazing! The environment is warm and welcoming, the staff are helpful, and there are loads of opportunities and activities to engage with other students. The facilities are great as well, as there is everything you need to do your university work!
NTU is the perfect place to go for the proper student experience, the campuses, the nightlife and everything in betweeen is great. The only thing I could say is the SU could be a bit cheaper but apart from that I have no complaints!

NTU is not only great socially but it also has a great support system to help you alongside your studies. The uni provides you with modern facilities and lots of events you can go to. I would absolutely recommend this university.

Amazing place. Always something going on which made my experince very fun
As a postgraduate student, my experience at Nottingham Trent University has been largely positive. The university stands out for its supportive environment and excellent communication. Lecturers and staff are approachable and responsive, making it easy to seek guidance or clarification when needed. This has been invaluable for navigating the challenges of postgraduate study. However, the Postgraduate Centre could benefit from some attention. While it serves its purpose, the facilities feel outdated and could use renovations to create a more modern, comfortable, and inspiring study space. Additionally, the café in the centre has room for improvement. Expanding the menu options, especially for dietary requirements, and enhancing the overall quality would make it a much more inviting space for students to gather and work. Overall, Nottingham Trent University offers a great academic experience, but a few upgrades to its facilities could elevate it even further.

Overall I really enjoyed the university.
The university is great. There are many facilities such as student support services, student union and societies. There is a range of accommodation to choose from. The hall i stay in (the maltings) is a 15 minute bus ride from the campus, however you are provided with a free bus pass. The halls are clean and the staff are friendly. The surrounding area feels safe too. My course (psychology) is very varied and I enjoy the content. If you are struggling you can get help from student services and the lecturers are always willing to help too.
The best part of NTU is the universities facilities, with the arts facilities being greatly funded, with mac suites, wacom tablets, workshops and plenty of space for every student to work both in uni hours and outside of them. The lecturers care about each individual, and often check in both on their work and their mental health.

The university is really helpful with their facilities and ability to help you with your problems. The issues and worries are usually cleared up immediately. Most of my lecturers and course leaders have helped and replied to emails as quick as they can even if it isn't in their office hours, which adds that comfort to going to university. Especially if its a uni which is far from home, like it is for me.
NTU Clifton felt like home as soon as I stepped on the campus. It was a life goal of mine to go to uni and reaching that goal with such a great uni has been a huge accomplishment. The WiFi can be hit or miss but the majority of the time there are no issues. The careers/employability service are great for helping with placements and jobs (after and during uni). The SU host a good amount of good events but they can be expensive. They have a great range of societies and sports clubs too! The labs and lecture theaters are great, some are a little old but still in good condition!

My experience at Nottingham Trent University was a dream come true. I never thought that I would ever make it this far. Upon the stress I went through during my visa application and the disappointments. But all in all, Is God who has been able to see me though?
I really struggled first coming here but the support services on campus are really good and they’re lovely. The campus is really nice, it’s not too big and kept tidy.
Course Quality: Overall facilities and course content is great, but lecturers seem to skip over topics quickly. Graduate Careers: NTU has a huge employability scheme to help students get careers after graduating. Accommodation: I stayed at Gill Street North Halls and the overall rooms are amazing but wifi is lacking along with high price point. Student Life: Nottingham has probably the best student life experiences within the UK with loads of activities to do within the city and many opportunities to meet people in and outside of university.

My experience has been amazing, the nightlife in nottingham is great and the university facilities are very nice.
I am genuinely happy that I chose to come to NTU because my experience here has been nothing short of amazing! The course design for modules is just brilliant with a perfect blend of theory and practical aspects in tandem. The tutors are mostly experts in their fields bringing a world of knowledge for students to equip them with. The online aids I.e. recorded lectures and workshop materials along with quizzes and discussion boards to enable students to keep their knowledge upto date is a great help. The university has a global lounge where Imternational students like myself can drop by and take part in liesurely activities, cultural events and trainings as well as learn different languages and make connections. The NTSU has many societies that you can become a part of and contribute. I am a part of the 93percent club here. It also has sporting facilities as well and I am particularly fond of the badminton courts here. Much more to add but for the word limit. I just love it here at NTU!

Overall good experience, societies sometimes aren’t great. Clifton not great location (not a lot of green space). Campus is great.

It’s all been amazing. The facilities are incredible
I'm from Bangladesh, a country facing severe energy shortages. During my undergraduate studies, I realized I lacked the skills to make a significant impact on this issue, which inspired me to pursue an MSc in Sustainable Engineering (Energy) at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). NTU’s focus on sustainability and its tailored course made it my top choice. Despite political turmoil in Bangladesh delaying my visa process, I stayed committed to NTU and joined in January. Since arriving, I’ve been amazed by the welcoming environment, 24/7 support, and guidance from personal tutors. This enriching experience has truly exceeded my expectations.
