Finding Student Accommodation

Not too far west of London is Reading, where over 27,000 students attend the University of Reading, spread across 26 accommodations of all kinds.

Reading is known for its festival scene with the Reading Festival, which attracts over 100,00 attendees every year. Reading also has the longest river frontage of the River Thames! If you’re up for some shopping, The Oracle has everything you need: there are over 100 stores. If you’re a nature person, head to Beale Park where you can find small exotic animals, farm animals, birds and landscape gardens and woodlands. And if you’re a fan of Pride and Prejudice (the film), you’d be able to visit Basildon Park, a Grade I building owned by the National Trust, where P&P was shot! Read more about Reading

The average cost of living in Reading is 9.7% less than London, but the average cost of accommodation in Reading is 30% more than the national average (we've tracked costs for private and uni halls over the last 12 months).
