The location is perfect since it’s in the city. There’s a grocery store next door and it’s a 5 minute walk to reading station. The staff are extremely friendly and always very helpful! The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures. Both the rooms and common area are clean and it has all the important amenities. I have been living here for 2 years and it has honestly been an amazing experience.

The previous room decoration is very annoying, making it difficult to stay in the room during the day due to constant drilling noises. The nighttime experience is no better. The noise from the nearby bar is incessant and makes it hard to sleep. Another significant problem is the new staff team. They do not seem to consider the needs of the residents at all. Their approach to problem-solving is ineffective. Instead of addressing issues properly, they often deflect responsibility and tell residents not to blame them when problems occur. Moreover, the reception desk is frequently unattended. If you have any issues with your room, it is challenging to find someone to assist you.
The previous years saw some loud, horrible construction with workers at your windows 8am - 5pm, making you unable to open the windows OR the curtains the day time. Woken everyday at 8am because of the sound of drilling and walking INFRONT OF YOUR WINDOW, staff’s response: “it could be the building next door”…. I understand there were warnings about construction but not that we could not open the windows or curtains? And it gets dark during winter time before 5pm, so we are “trapped” with no sunlight if we were to stay in our room. Moving forward, right now there has been bin storage issues. I cannot stress how unhygienic it is for students to leave their bins in their room for over a week, the oder, the potential flies coming in etc. especially with a closed space such as a studio. The new staff does not consider any other alternative. The location is the best thing, if you like shops and restaurants. But it takes 30 minutes to go to the uni from the bus each day. There is wifi…
The new staff team is so terrible, no responsible at all, much worse than the team before, and they won't provide any help for you. The location is close to railway station, supermarkets and a large number of bars and clubs, which make huge noise during all night.
The reception does not supportive to help residents solve problems. One side of CRM is noisy, close to street.
The location is the best, everything you need is close by. The studios are as seen in the photos and advertised. The team is very helpful with whatever you need and there is security 24/7.
CRM is located in a great location, housing comfortable studios. The staff members are helpful and friendly.
I had a really good experience living at central studios in Reading. The management of the property was excellent and all the staff (e.g. Front of House Coordinator, handyman, cleaner) were very efficient, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The location was also very convenient being so close to shops/supermarkets, coffee shops, and the train station with good transportation links to the university. The internet was also very fast and reliable and the social spaces and facilities were kept very clean and tidy. It was also very easy to order packages and deliveries with the management team helping to collect them and hold them in reception. I would recommend this property to a friend.
The overall experience is great. The location is in the town centre, so it’s easy to go to supermarkets, restaurants, bars and the train station.
The location was perfect and the staff very helpful and the environment was very friendly.
There are many things to love about staying here. I would begin with the fact that the members of staff like Jas,Diger, Hugo etc. were always there to help with any issues I had. I remember reporting an issue a day before and it was resolved the very next day. Stay here means living in convenience as it is close to the town centre and next to restaurants such as, (McDonald’s, GDK, Treats, KFC, Creams, Nando’s, The Oracle). The train station and the gym are less than 5 minutes away from the accomodation. So if you’re a lazy person like me, then book asap and stop wasting time. Also, I’d like to mention that, they were very flexible with the payment plan, by allowing me to have a four instalment plan rather than three which is something I didn’t even know was possible.
The accomodation Is located at a great place. It is a five minute walk from town and a fifteen minute bus ride to the University. Due to Covid, socially, it was not very easy to meet people and everyone kept to themselves. The place looks great, however, there were some issues with my and my friends windows which were not really ever fixed. The microwave oven is best used as a microwave as meat and even cake, requires a long time to be cooked and might never be fully cooked. But if you can cook in the stove this is a good place for you. The dryer for the clothes is located in a communal area and I havent really had problems with other people using it. However it might be best to use it during the week instead of weekends. The problem with it is that even if filled halfway through it might not fully dry your clothes and might require a second or third cycle. So I would suggest washing and drying a small amount of clothes at a time. The people working there are welcoming and try to help
Great studios, superb location and friendly staff! Not suitable if you have a car as there is no parking on site, making it impossible for others to visit you or stay over if they have a car. The oven is not an actual oven but an oven-mirowave combo, therefore you could cook only a handful of food.
Okay.. I remember my first day here like it was yesterday, I was so excited to live on my own as well as live here. My room was spacious which reflected the money I was paying. Although I wasn’t able to pay the original instalment plan, they were flexible in terms of letting me do a four instalment plan which is rare to see to be honest. So, back to my story, I moved in during the first lockdown and although it was difficult, the members of staff such as, Jas, Diger, Hugo, Olga etc. all helped the transition. I really love living here because it’s close to the town centre, there are restaurants everywhere (Nando’s, GDK, McDonald’s, KFC, Treats, Creams etc). It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the train station and there’s a gym less than 5 minutes away. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind staying here next year because I’d miss it too much if I left. So, don’t waste time and book asap.
I had a wonderful stay here 2020-2021. The room is clean and properly maintained. Facilities are easy to use and sign posted. The managing team Jas and Simon did an amazing job in this challenging time. The location is really 'central' - within 5 minutes walk to shopping centres and mainline railway station.
Simon the handy man helped me assemble a gaming chair That I bought that was complex and hard to assemble on my own Which I found very great; Daiga and jas were also both amazing as they were very to access if I had any questions or needed any help, and they both always were willing to help out and made sure that every aspect of central studios was well run from cleanliness, ensuring Covid 19 safety protocols and even festive activities for residents to take part in.
Even if it was overpriced my stay in Central studios Accomodation was very enjoyable and the security and reception team very kind and helpful
Really nice place compared to others. Staff are nice and supportive.
