Will Executive Premium Studio allow two people to live? If allow, is there any additional cost?

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Nice accommodation and good social spaces.
I have been living in this building since September 2023, and the lift in Building 3, where I reside, has been out of order for over eight months. Despite numerous promises from the management team that it would be repaired, no action has been taken. Before renewing my lease, I specifically spoke with the manager, who assured me the lift would be fixed by the start of my new lease on September 16th. It is now well past that date, and the lift remains inoperative, as shown in the attached photo. I am on the third floor. This ongoing issue has severely impacted my daily life. I am forced to use the stairs every day, which has taken a toll on both my physical and mental health. It’s unacceptable for an organization of this size and reputation to be unable—or unwilling—to resolve such a basic and essential issue within a reasonable time frame. I strongly advise against living here. Be aware of these problems before considering this place!

wonderful place！There are friendly staff and delicious breakfast, and the daily cleaning is very good. There are often some festival activities to give us some small gifts and snacks, if there is a chance I will recommend it to my friends

I've stayed here for two consecutive years and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The rooms are exceptionally nice and perfectly situated in the heart of town, providing easy access to shops, restaurants, and various modes of transportation. The staff are consistently available and go above and beyond to assist with any needs.
New Century Place is a 5-minute walk to the town centre, a 10-minute walk to the London Road Campus and a 30-minute walk to Whiteknights Campus (15 minutes by bus and the bus station is within 100 metres from the accommodation), which makes it the best student accommodation that is very convenient for enjoying leisure time in town and traveling to school. I have personally visited other student accommodations to decide whether to stay at the New Century Place next year. I still chose here, because of its location and reasonable price.
The elevator in building 3 was broken and had not been repaired for more than half a year, which was very inconvenient! At the meantime the accommodation didn’t give us any compensation nor alternative ways trying to fix this problem.
Having spent three years at New Century Place during my university studies, I can confidently say it has been a fantastic experience. NCP offers amenities like well-equipped study rooms, a gym, a cinema room, and a social area with a pool table, all enhancing the university experience. The rooms are well-designed and comfortable, perfect for both studying and relaxation. The free breakfast makes mornings easier, and the cinema room is great for unwinding after a long day. NCP fosters a strong community spirit with free holiday-themed food events for occasions like Chinese New Year and Easter egg hunts, creating an inclusive atmosphere. Collecting parcels is hassle-free 24/7, thanks to the security staff present beyond working hours. Overall, New Century Place provides an excellent balance of luxury, convenience, and community spirit, making it an ideal choice for any student seeking accommodation in Reading.

Have lived here for 2 years whilst completing my PhD. It has been hassle-free, allowing me to focus on my degree.
a good experience however, things break often like elevator, hot water, and bathroom drainage clogs. The gym équipements are nearly all broken. Breakfast could include more healthy options
This is my 2nd year staying at the accommodation and I’m so glad. This place has the perfect location and social aspect you need as a student. The staff are always friendly and it’s always clean no matter the day or time
its a good accommodation overall but there are several issues especially in building 3 with the lift being out of service for more than a year now and a lot of problems with hot water but they intend to be resolved quickly.

The staff is friendly. There is no personal issue with the management team. However, importantly, the elevator in the building three has been broken for more than 5 months (It only work for one day). It is very hard and take some effort to carry a luggage and do the laundry, especially when living on the high floor. Today, the hot water is not working for the whole building. This place was valued for money. But I am unsure it is still the valued one, especially when the price keep increasing every year, while some key amenities are unable to use. Hope NCP accommodation team, see this comments as a room to improve the service.
Poor management , lift has been broken for almost two months and they don’t do any about it. My bathroom door has been broken since the first week of May and there has been no repair done. The management is very incompetent.

New century place is a lovely accommodation, with great staff and it is just a few minutes from town, everyone is friendly and make it into such a nice place to live
NCP has easy access to schools and supermarkets; Apartments are also full of amenities; It's comfortable to live here. Rachel and Lisa were very nice and helpful to everyone. You can meet many like-minded friends here.

Our accommodation is found in an extremely convenient location, near the oracle mall, near the university. The rooms are in excellent condition, very spacious and cozy! Totally recommend students to book their room here!

Good location, easy access, 15 minutes to Reading University by bus stop right on the doorstep, 2 minutes walk to the town centre.
If you consider live in Reading town, New century place is really a nice one. Very close to town centre very convenient.
NCP is a very nice apartment. Gorgeous decoration style makes me feel relaxed. Building C is also a new apartment that has just been built. It is worth mentioning that the staff Rachel is very friendly! Helping us a lot during the quarantine! Thanks to all the staff at NCP.
Very nice place! The location is near town centre, it's very convenient. It have complete facilities and enthusiastic team. I have a great life here although it have a epidemic. The staff help me a lot when I met problems that make me feel warm.
Very good place to live for students of UoR. Best location, 5min walk to centre of Reading, 2min walk to bus station. Good and well-maintained facilities, high speed WiFi available. Kind staff will solve all problems 7*24.
Living here is a good choice, NCP is in a good location, near the city centre, easy access to supermarkets and shopping. Besides, it will make you live comfortably. The facilities here are very advanced and well managed. There are excellent staff who can help you solve the problems in your life. During the COVID-19 period, the public areas were cleaned regularly and alcohol disinfectors were placed on each floor to make tenants feel at ease. I really enjoy living here, and believe it’s the nicest accommodation in Reading.

Great accommodation, spacious rooms with good wifi and a tv in every room as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any problem or query you might have. The location is great as well, within 5 minutes from the town centre and the mall where you can shop for anything you might need without too much walking.
Perfectly located on the edge of the town centre and getting to campus is still really easy and cheap. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The atmosphere is also really nice.
I like the stylish interior design and clean environment. Great location with only 2 min walk to the bus stop so it is easy to get to uni and also very close to town centre. Love having access to the on-site gym especially during winter without even needing to walk to the gym outside. There are plenty of social spaces such as study rooms, mini library, party rooms, lounges as well as a cinema.
My experience from point of enquiring, signing contract and extending contract into second year, overall 5 star rating in all aspects. The staff are fantastic, friendly and forever helpful. The location and the rooms are cosy and its home away from home. Walking distance to everything you need. The parcels are so well managed and staff are ever ready to assist even when you get locked out early hours of morning. There is nothing I think could be improved as everything is superb as it is. It's a delightful time to live here in this accommodation since the last September. The building is quite new and fresh, a bunch of facilities such as fitness studio, party kitchen and cinema are amazing. It's a pity that the year 2020 is the pandemic year and I don't have so many chances to socialize with friends here, hopefully, it will be better for the vaccine is ready. Though it is tough during this time, the kind administrative teams, a handsome tall mate and a caring young lady as well as a lady for room maintenance, helped me a lot, they are super nice person. Overall a good place to stay in the UK.
I have lived here for 4 months. Friendly staff and high-quality facilities make my study life better. It is worth noting that during the lockdown period, all help did not stop, and I can still enjoy the services here. There is no doubt that I will continue to live here next acadamic year. This is an exciting decision.
