Bridges hall is home away from home. As an international student coming to UK for the first time, I felt like I was still in my home country with 9 wonderful flatmates, it made my experience here in UoR smooth and hazzle free. Though from different countries we bonded like sisters, the Hall staff and porters were good and excellent at their work and relationship with the students. Communication was swift with events showing on our mails. I love Bridges Hall no doubt. Thank you UPP, we love what you are doing.

It's a great accommodation, modern and built with students in mind. Large rooms, lots of storage space and plug sockets! Cleaning can be lackluster, and ventilation in bathrooms is poor so mold is unavoidable - and then not dealt with for weeks. Storage in the kitchen can be an issue as there are 12 people in the house, and not enough space for everyone's plates and pans, let alone pantry storage. Thin walls and floors/ceilings. Good socialising space with table, chairs for all, and sofas.
Hi, Thank you so much for your review and feedback! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of the accommodation, such as the modern design, spacious rooms and great socializing areas. We are also sorry to see some areas fell short of expectations – we really appreciate this feedback as we are continually working on improving our residents’ experiences. We encourage residents to report all issues, such as those with cleaning or mould via the dedicated Home at Halls app or the 24/7 Halls Hotline so that our team can rectify any issues as soon as possible. If you would like to discuss further or share more detailed feedback, please do reach out on accommodationonline@reading.ac.uk or 0118 200 5011. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Really nice rooms and bed. Kitchen is nice. Sofa a little scruffy with tape on it. Lots of silverfish seen, two seen in my bed. Issue resolved quickly but shouldn't have had to be resolved two weeks into living there.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your room and the kitchen. Common causes of pests in halls are poor housekeeping, especially in kitchens, so it’s important to keep kitchens clean and tidy. Pests may also be brought into the accommodation by accidental import in luggage and food. It’s best to avoid keeping any food in your bedroom. To help identify pests and determine if any action is needed, please see the Pests and Insects poster on your kitchen noticeboard or by clicking here. If you are concerned or see any pests, please report this to the Halls Hotline on 0800 029 1984. A specialist pest control company will investigate any reports and we will address the issue in line with their recommendations. If you would like to discuss further or share more detailed feedback, please do reach out on accommodationonline@reading.ac.uk or 0118 200 5011. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Halls are cleaned regularly but when we first arrived we discovered some stains in the corridor carpet and reported it in the app. Nothing was done about this yet a cleaner told us off for the corridor being too dirty?
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the cleaning team, we have passed this onto the site team to review. If you would like to discuss further or share more detailed feedback, please do reach out on accommodationonline@reading.ac.uk or 0118 200 5011. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team

Hi, Thanks so much for your review. We’re glad you had a great experience living at Reading! Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Lovely location and close to main uni buildings. More social places would be good, and fewer per kitchen as space was limited.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the location of your accommodation. There are JCRs and common rooms in all halls, therefore socialising is not restricted to flats. There are also free events put on by the home@halls team in common areas and residents can go to any of these events across campus. If you would like to discuss this further or provide more detailed feedback, please contact accommodationonline@reading.ac.uk or phone 0118 200 5011. Kind regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Really enjoyed living in bridges cleaners come once a week and do a great job, met some amazing people!!
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted you had such a positive experience living at Reading. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Really fun vibe and social aspect. Loved the events in the JCR. Shared bathroom and shower had mould in it and was never cleaned. Cleaners were on their phone to fill the hour up and didn’t clean the grease off the oven extractor fan etc.
Hi, Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the home@halls events and were able to easily socialise. Bridges had a great location and the building was very well maintained, with any issues solved quickly and efficiently. Price made sense for the infrastructure provided - a big spacious and well equipped kitchen with a comfortable common room, as well as a good bathroom (although the shower water pressure could be improved) and a very spacious, comfortable room.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Halls was close to uni and in a good location, the room and amenities were sufficient.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
The room and facilities provided are a good place to live if you are looking for modern accommodation and great value for money. Although the distance to the main campus is relatively far there are nice views on the way.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your room and the facilities available. All of our accommodation is located within a 15-minute walk to the main library on Whiteknights campus. Our accommodation is in various locations around campus to try to cater to what facilities students would like to be close to. Kind regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Lovely experience, would choose the same thing again.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Bridges hall was one of the nicest accommodations, not only for Reading but compared to other unis as well. I was so impressed with the price especially since I had the last pickings. The location is a little far from campus compared to some other halls but it’s such a scenic walk since you walk through the fields and over the river (in the summer it is GORGEOUS). Plus, always good to get your steps in. Furthermore, I was extremely grateful for the lovely cleaner who did an excellent job of our flat - she was always so smiley and kind. Perfect place for a first year student!
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
A lovely place to live. The halls are modern and clean. The area is peaceful, green and close to the main Whiteknights campus - an eight to ten minute walk. There are also free events ran by the halls team such as pizza nights and arts and crafts sessions. Security is good and maintenance in terms of resolving issues promptly. The only improvement is that the heating does not turn on in the winter in the halls when it is cold and also in the Wessex study room which Bridges hall students share with Wessex hall students. Therefore, I had to buy a portable radiator for the colder months which was unfortunate.
Hi, Thank you taking the time to leave your feedback. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your time at Reading and enjoyed the events run by the Home@Halls team! Regarding your feedback on the heating - all rooms are heated to maintain an average of 20 degrees centigrade and a minimum of 18 degrees during the heating season (normally October – end of April). This means that if the room temperature drops below 18 degrees the heating will automatically turn back on. If students have concerns about the temperature in their hall, we encourage them to contact the 24/7 Halls Hotline. If you would like to discuss this further or provide more detailed feedback, please contact accommodationonline@reading.ac.uk or phone 0118 200 5011. Kind regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Lived there last year, fantastic. Security and reception staff were always willing to help with issues and had fast response times

I really enjoyed my time at bridges hall. The bedrooms are a good size and the bathroom does the job. The kitchens are really big and spacious and there's plenty of space to sit down.

Good facilities and great place to stay, JCR is good but not used much, nice to have a reception very close by for deliveries
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
My experience in halls was very pleasant, lovely space and lovely people. The WiFi speeds were very fast and the overall loving space was also great for 10 people. Was a little messy but that was on us ! And the cleaners were lovely and respectful always. Would highly recommend.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Bridges is a good dorm for those who like more peace and quiet. It's further from Park Bar where most socials are held, which is why it's good for silence. The amenities are nice and the rooms are spacious, worth the price.

very efficient cleaners, comfy beds and spacious rooms. good amount of shared bathrooms also very clean and good quality cooking appliances

Student accom is far too expensive as a whole. Considering bridges is on the cheaper side of reading accom it was very nice though. Lift would break down weekly for days at a time. Sofas in living area could be comfier e.g. have cushions and be fabric rather than leather. Internet was mostly fine however when it went down it would be down for a day at least which is not helpful when doing uni work
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading. We continually review our offering to ensure our rooms offer value for money and offer a range of room types to suit varied budgets. All our rents are inclusive (utilities and WIFI) so there are no unexpected bills to pay plus your bills and rent will be fixed so you won't face any price increases. The lifts in the halls are tested to the highest standards. However, as with all lifts occasionally they can break down. We have set response times for resolving all issues reported to the Halls Hotline. This will be advised to you once it is reported either over the phone, by email or app. If a specialist part or contractor is needed in order to fix the matter the above times may be extended, and you will be advised. Where possible, we will provide you with a temporary solution in the interim. Thank you for your feedback regarding WIFI – we generally receive very positive feedback in our regular customer service surveys regarding WIFI speed, however we do advise that any issues can be picked up directly with the provider Glide whose details are shared on arrival as part of your induction. Each room has both WIFI and ethernet access. Kind regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
The student accommodation offers a decent living experience, featuring basic amenities and a friendly community atmosphere

I entered the university through clearing so wasn’t able to pick many choices, however once I got to Bridges Hall I was amazed. It was such a steal for the price and location. The rooms were large and so was the kitchen and space. It was a very social building.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
I thoroughly enjoyed living in Bridges Hall, all staff were very helpful and if there was an issue it was resolved quickly. There were many social events held throughout the year which was often welcoming and fun. In the rooms the wifi was good but sometimes it was slower in the kitchen or didn’t work at all. The cleaners often moved our washing up which lead to people losing their kitchenware resulting in the kitchen becoming messier than before and our hover kept being put in the hall opposite so we often didn’t have one. Timings of the parcel collection was often frustrating too. All these issues were pretty minor and definitely didn’t take away from my uni experience!
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
This halls was an amazing experience for my first year at University! The price of the accommodation was very good I comparison to others in my University, however was expensive compared to most other areas. The location was in a great spot close to key buildings, however was not close to the catering buildings. Overall, I loved my halls experience and flat!
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Had a really social flat and great neighbours, great location and loved my time here. The price is far too expensive (was £144 when i was there now seems to be ridiculously more) for a shared bathroom between 3-4 people and a single bed but UOR halls r expensive. One side of the halls had a mould issue which was sorted by the staff. I was on the ground floor which was loud and meant I rarely opened my curtains but the noise was only an issue on union nights. Overall a good social halls but seems to be getting ever so expensive for what it is.
Nice rooms with a good kitchen and living area. Wifi is bad though and when something breaks it takes ages to get fixed
I started in covid so socialising wasn’t really a thing. But the uni home at halls made it fun, always running activities
Bridges accomodation is what it says on the tin. The builing is lovely and the rooms are of a good size.
Bridges Hall was quite expensive, but I think it was worth it for the size of the room and social space you get with it! Lots of storage space, clean comfy rooms, and great for socialising (there were 12 students per house!). For the price I would have wanted an en suite, but as it was I only had to share with one other person, which wasn’t too bad at all.
Poor wifi ever since it changed to Glide wifi.
Very clean, weekly cleaning services, very social accom
Bridges is a very scenic halls, out of the way of the bustle of the central campus. The views are extraordinary during all seasons and the short walk into campus is well worth it for the benefits.
Bridges hall is one of the cheaper accommodations however the overall money value when compared to other universities is lower. The halls is clean and modern and has all the needed catered amenities. The money however is quite expensive for no en-suite
Pretty and quiet location next to the lake but only 5 mins from central campus. Regular cleaners for communal spaces that also will empty the bins! I was in a graduate flat so we were all a bit quieter and not partying as much but that worked for me and my masters course. Probably one of the nicest halls at Reading, good storage space in both room and kitchen, I had a small double room with an en-suite. Communal areas are bright, spacious and the laundry room worked well.
Maintenance sometime take longer eventhough it’s an emergency. Social spaces aren’t massive so not a lot of activities done here
Had some maintenance issues that were not fixed quickly but aside from that, a wonderful accommodation
Nice accommodation for the money, great on campus location. Security is not very helpful and very annoying especially during freshers even when there wasn’t real disturbances happening. Wifi can be very unreliable at times and took ages to connect at start of uni
Spacious rooms, new building, thin walls
It’s a really nice accommodation in a very convenient location. Sofas in the kitchen makes it easy to be social and meet people
Best accom for price, nice spacious room (got the one with the extra corner space as well) the kitchen is spacious and got a good bunch of people to live with. It's more modern than a lot of the others and the maintenance come out right away if there's an issue. Spent a long time trying to find the right place and glad I picked this one. Perfect if you're in agri building, 10-15 min walk from every where else, only down side is single bed. Don't know why rated so low on the list.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it here at Reading! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your time living here. Kind Regards, The Reading Accommodation Team
Not sure why many reviews say bridges is not good value for money, as it is one of the cheapest accommodations available. For this price you get an very modern room with loads of storage space, which is far better than the majority of other accommodations on campus. It's near the centre of campus and the bus stop is only a 4 minutes walk away. As for the social spaces, the JCR might as well not be there as it's practically irrelevant. However the kitchens provided have very large tables and with 30 per floor, it is relatively easy to just hang out in your flatmates kitchens. The bathrooms aren't amazing as they're small however the showers are surprisingly nice. Overall id say bridges is the best accom for value for money, and the only other accom that i would consider staying in is Stenton, however for the amount you'd have to pay is considerably more.
Nice place to stay, the social experience can be good depending on who you live with but it is rather pricy.
Bridges is a lovely place to stay! The rooms have so much storage and are modern, with the kitchens having a large social space for your flat to hang out. The short walk to the center of campus is very pretty! There is not much communal space out side of the flat kitchens but this doesn’t matter to much.
The halls aren’t really near the main lecture theatres or other halls which is annoying. It’s not a very lively halls, and you can easily not see anyone in your flat for several hours
Love bridge so good Fun and great living there
The halls were cleaned regularly and kept in good condition and we were provided with most things we needed, the location is on campus however is quite isolated from other halls.
Do NOT stay at these halls if you are postgrad. Despite being in an all postgrad Townhouse we were put next to the loudest neighbours who constantly disturbed us, even during exams. Avoid avoid avoid if you want a quieter space.
Great rooms and clean but quiet and not very social
Loved staying at bridges, good for the money, met loads of people, new modern and comfortable
Bedroom colour scheme is gross but apart from that it's a really decent room, kitchen is relatively new and modern with a good amount of space for everyone, and 10people per flat means you meet so many new people
Bridges Halls are really modern and spacious, in both the bedrooms and the kitchen, and they are kept clean by the cleaners once a week. I have found that Bridges is a mix of both people who want to party and people who want to staying and study, and it's easy to make friends with both as the flats are made up of 10 people. Not too bothered about not having an ensuite as the bathrooms are much nicer than the ones provided in ensuite halls.
Townhouses are amazing! Rooms spacious. Clean and new. All round amazing
Best people, pretty location and best value for money,
imo best accomodation in reading
When I read reviews on bridges I was a bit worried that they wouldn't be a great expierience for a fresher. These reviews were totally wrong and freshers fortnight was honestly so fun,the halls are lovely, the walk to campus is short and the social is good.
Excellent, lovely accommodation, however quite a walk from centre of campus and everything.
Usually there are issues topping up the laundry cards, besides that, great Hall.
Absolutely amazing time! I wouldn't stay in any other halls, everyone was so lovely, a really short walk from union but far enough away that you ca't hear them when you're have a quiet night in. Highly recommend
People complain that it's too far from campus, but it's only just over a 5 minute walk to the centre. Lovely accommodation, is always kept clean and maintained, security can be a little strict but I assume it's the same for all accommodation blocks. Definitely going to miss these halls.
Bridges is lovely and modern, having the courtyard in the middle really created a peaceful environment. It was definitely ok to be quiet in bridges but also very easy to make friends. It is expensive but I think it was worth the money!
Great halls as modern and great value for money but not the most social as quite far from park bar
bridges sucks. everything breaks down regularly, most notably doors, lifts and keycards. all known faults they can't be a**ed to deal with. costs a bloody fortune. one of the most anti-social halls on campus- the only common room is tiny and directly underneath the warden's home, so basically useless. so if you get stuck in a bogus flat, your social life is going to be tricky at best because flats are fairly isolated in the way they're set out and there are no other common areas. due to the half-a**ed way flats are assigned, the odds of having a terrible flat are pretty high, though this is probably common to all UOR halls. but notably in bridges almost all flats have one or two residents that are ostracised because of differences, ie. 1 girl in with 9 guys, 1 guy in with 9 girls, 1 international postgrad student in with 9 uk freshers, 1 uk fresher with 9 chinese masters/postgrad students - all common. and it's farcical.
Premium ensuite halls very unsocial if you're a fresher.
The townhouses are amazing and great for making friends and large kitchen/diner area and the rooms are amazing!
I stayed in a townhouse as a returner and loved my time here. The mark down is for the wifi (which you struggle with even in the library so not really the halls fault) and the jcr which sucked! Other than that i couldn't recommend it enough! The kitchen in townhouses are huge as are their rooms, plus its right at the back gate of uni so the bus stop is 20 seconds from your door. For the lazier of us its further from the main uni buildings than some other halls, but you do have a nice walk over the lake (watch out for the swans) and it really isn't that far.
I love living in Bridges halls, people said it was a long walk from campus but it's really not. The bathrooms are lovely and clean, the rooms are spacious and full of storage spaces. The kitchen is a perfect size as well as the table and the sofas are a great social area. Really great security crew and the cleaners a phenomenal. Love it. Only downside is it could be a bit cheaper but you can't win with everything now can you?
Really nice kitchen space and very social with other flats and townhouses, not too far from campus but only issue is that it's quite far from park group/ park bar
Needs its own bar like park bar.
Amazing flats, close to campus, clean however it is a little too expensive
Horrific. Couldn't have placed me anywhere worse.
I love Bridges Hall, it's actually not as far away as people think! I can walk to the square in 10 minutes and to Agriculture in less. Bridges is new and modern, it also has a large kitchen/dining/living space with a sofa where friends can gather in the evenings or before a night out. Thanks to the Halls Hotline there is no problem when it comes to maintenance snags - meaning the odd problem (like a broken kettle) can be fixed quickly! I'm also fortunate to have cleaners come and clean our kitchen (one a week) and shared bathrooms (twice a week) I'm really happy with the accommodation I live in and I'm considering reapplying for my second year!
Very clean, spacious and ideal location.
Too expensive for what you get. Too far away from the main facilities of the campus. Had a room next to the kitchen: There is no possibility to learn or sleep during the day. You can hear people talking and cooking. The walls seems to be very thin so you can hear everything. The doors closes always with a loud bang.
Although you have to share a bar with Wessex it's the nicest accommodation on campus, and soon you'll get to know lots of people
The halls are all very modern and kept clean. Only issue is its quite far out from all the other halls
Really lovely flatmates, a really gorgeous place to live.
Brand new hall so looked nice but lots of issues with things breaking etc which weren't dealt with well by the maintenance teams, but other wise good.
The only problem that I found in Bridges halls was that the warden was a f****** idiot when it came to dishing out fines. For someone who has a PHD in chemistry you'd like to think he would have more common sense
Bridges Hall has the appeal of being brand new with a large kitchen and lots of storage space in the bedrooms. However, as it is new, there are still a lot of things that need to be changed. It's about 10 mins away from the centre of campus so decent location, however it is about 20 minutes away from other halls (except Wessex) which can be a pain. People to bathroom ratio is about as good as you'll get without being in an ensuite which definitely is a pro of the halls. There is a JCR room with a TV and sofas, as well as table tennis outside, however during my year not many people used this, and it definitely should be encouraged more so people feel comfortable to go down and use it. Bridges townhouses are not worth the money in my opinion, unless you enjoy walking up stairs all day. Overall good halls, but still can be improved.
It's fairly nice as it's a new halls of residence. However for the amount of money you spend it is not worth staying here! It is very basic in terms of what you get in the kitchen, as well as in the shared bathroom. But the worst part of Bridges Hall by far is the unfair security team who go out of their way to try and stop socialising. Also the JCR have been a joke! Expecting people to pay £45 to get a discount of barely anything is ridiculous!
Amazing! Great start but would prefer a better JCR
It's a pretty good hall but the kitchens don't have enough space, the fridges freeze your food, the ovens don't heat evenly and the cleaning service doesn't do a great job. The rooms are nice but not great quality furniture. Also the post box is open at really strange hours so it's hard to get a package
Great :) Nice room, bathroom and kitchen and dining area. Bit far from the main campus and HBS compared to other accomodations, but I dont regret living in Bridges!
It's fairly nice, but probably not worth the amount of money you spend. Also the on campus security team are often rude if you have any issue.
Close to main campus but is a bit far away from social activities etc so as a first year can feel a bit out of the loop. Have found JCR to be pretty rubbish- I've paid £45 for JCR fees and haven't reaped any benefits from it money down the drain!! There have been about 3 event s that I have seen discounted for those that have paid JCR fees all of which I couldn't attend. Cleaners should be credited, they do an amazing job and always spend a good hour cleaning the kitchen! Price was a little steep for self catered but I guess that comes with the area and the fact it was new accommodation.
Really good townhouses for 2/3rd years, in their own quieter area
jcr was rubbish, no events organised
Bridges Hall is lovely and new, with fab facilities. Being such a new hall, Bridges is yet to find its identity like other accommodation, however the new JCR for 2015 are full of plans that are set to change the issue! Bridges is quiet enough for people that want to work as well as having enough going on for the party animals in us all. Go for Bridges, I have had the most amazing time
Nice place but warden's are ridiculously strict and will ban you from playing with your friends.
Only thing wrong is the effort of JCRs to organise events and and activities throughout the year and help people in Bridges meet eachother
Nice and new but hasn't got enough cooking space for 12, it's quite far away and not as sociable as some of the other halls !!!
Would have scored higher on social experience however if you do anything wrong, they ban you from having any visitors into your house- makes pre drinks/birthdays/social life/group work much harder. Our warden even told my flatmate and her boyfriend that they weren't allowed to see each other in halls- ridiculous! Rooms and kitchen etc. are nice but things break easily and plumbing is poor throughout. There is no bar at this halls and only a tiny TV room. Cleaners come once a week- tend to complain if house isn't already very clean! However, location is pretty good not too far away from anything and the halls very homely compared to others. I think this halls is probably better if you prefer a quieter uni experience.
We were banned from seeing our friends from a house a few doors down and stopped from having any outside visitors, constantly victimised for having a messy house even though practically none of our appliances work and our toilets/showers are always blocked. The warden doesn't care about the fact that we pay so much however simply cares that we occasionally have pre drinks in the house we pay an insane amount for. Also very out of the way of campus.
- Poor location away from all main halls and campus - House was kept in poor condition - broken ovens, showers etc and not fixed for months - Treated unfairly and victimised by warden consistently and when asked for reasons why we were rudely answered to
We were banned from visiting our friend's house. We're paying a great deal for this accommodation, and we were belittled.
Townhouses are such good value for money. Downstairs is so much bigger than Stenton for a lot less money. Brand new and so pretty
Good place to live, but so much less sociable than other halls. There's no way to meet people in other flats. The security is good but almost too much.
Fined for anything that goes wrong, regardless of responsibility. Hall layout makes integration between blocks difficult. Very nice rooms and living area though.
we had mould under our beds. But was sorted well.
Loved it !! Felt really safe and was so much fun !
As halls go, it's nice. The bathrooms are brilliant (shared), and the showers are better than the one I have at home. The kitchens could do with more storage space, as some people (the last ones to move in) had to share tiny cupboards. The views across the meadow are lovely, but if you're on the ground floor, the floor to ceiling glass windows mean that passers by stare at your whilst you're eating your cereal. It's a bit like living in a fishbowl. The cleaners are excellent and really friendly, although it's best to stock up on toilet roll because that tends to run out before it gets replaced each week. There are two main problems with Bridges Hall, however. Firstly, there's the mold. Within a few weeks, mold developed under and around my bedroom window, and under my desk. The flat next door developed black mold. It took ages for maintenance to actually sort it out. Second problem is the light pollution, as the curtains are flimsy and the hall lights never go off.
