When three other classmates and I divided into a small group for a small trip in Glasgow, they kindly exchanged learning with me and introduced the local culture and history. Although I did not remember much of Glasgow’s history, I remember it was a very pleasant day. At that time, I had just arrived in a new environment, and sometimes I felt a little uncomfortable with the new environment. After that group assignment, I got much comfortable in later courses.
It's Glasgow uni, what is there to say about it but it's one of the best if not the best unis in Glasgow.
Great university but not so much activity in campus
I enjoy all the facilities on offer. I’ve not tried all the clubs and societies in the university. But the ones o have tried so far have been great and really enjoyed it
Great uni and a lot of fun to go to
The university is updated with the last technology and the professors are really helpful!
Great, except i have never been to the campus in my entire first year due to covid
Really good teachers especially in creative department. Staff friendly and helpful. Only management focus more on money then students and their experience which is a shame. I would recommend to study just because of teachers but don't expect being able to use studio after lessons even tho we are behind because of covid...
They were very helpful especially for foreign students
It’s alright, staff are friendly and there’s a nice work environment
Good experience so far although a lot of time spent off campus due to covid.
really good and helpful student advisers, lecturers, and staff. amazing course equipment available for students to use. each class has 10+ iMacs which is amazing to work with in class.
Due to the pandemic I havent managed to be on Campus, the campus looks amazing
Staffs and faculties in the uni are nice. The facilities are good. The campus is beautiful.
The University of Glasgow is a great university, with good faculties, very good internet and has a a nice atmosphere for studying. They also provide numerous clubs and societies to join, which allows you to socialise much more than without them.
Every staff from the Gibson street team is absolutely friendly and helpful, which gives me a strong sense of security to live here.
Competent co-researchers and the research-friendly facilities.
The university library has great facilities to work on-site.
Despite the online classes, the quality of teaching and student support at the school are excellent! The arrangement of career planning is also very good!
Not been there for a year but was good when I went
Collegelands has been an amazing place to stay this year. The staff and security have been so welcoming and friendly and I have loved every minute of it x
The university is amazing, lots of interesting courses, clear and straigjforward teaching
I actually have never been to have a face to face class there. But, the affiliates always help what the students need
Collageland has provided me with a great environment to live and study throughout my course of study. Even though I may be the only student that lives pretty far away from campus. Collageland provides an affordable place to stay and getting groceries are readily available around the neighbourhood.
Brilliant! I’m very glad to be a student of the University of Glasgow. Although current situation around of us made everything worse, UofG dealt all issues with the high level of professionalism.
The buildings here are great, and UofG has all kinds of clubs and student groups. Will be a good place for study and networking.
Overall, a great place to study
Not experience so much fun but the career services is great.
Very welcoming community. Great education
Due to covid-19, I do not really have an opinion regarding clubs and societies, student unions, since they were not operating. However, as an exchange student, I enjoyed my stay in Glasgow and my studies at the university. The online classes were good organised. The campus is beautiful. And the wifi at the library always works. There is nothing to complain about. A stunning university!
Beautiful campus and main building, modern library is my favorite
Good university. I have some many good memory there.
The most beautiful campus! Huge library which has been extremely useful during the pandemic
The most beautiful University I've ever seen. It feels like living at Hogwarts and the professors are quite nice. Due to the Coronavirus, we don't have many chances to hang out with friends or study in the classroom, but still, I want to recommend it to everyone.
I've only been in Glasgow for four days and I'm still in quarantine. But I went shopping before and passed by our uni. I thought the scenery of the school was very beautiful and I was looking forward to the life of a student!
Been very supportive during COVID, with rent rebates and payments for food for all students. The tutors are very accommodating and The campus itself is beautiful, very historical and the architect is awesome.
This uni is ok. Not really experienced due to covid
UofG is a good university with good course coordinators and tutors who help students study a lot.
Very pleasant experience, very kind professors, and an amazingly beautiful building.
I feel the school didn’t care for students’ interest and instead of making things better for the students, certain staff made things worse for students especially during the pandemic.
I deeply feel the involution toward certain students if they made complaints about certain Professor and supervisor. The essay or the dissertation marking process is not transparent to the students but can be manipulated by certain leader in the major, for instance, an A5 dissertation is not even completed with vague methodology and structure, a lot of descriptive words and not referenced properly(with several references not marked but taking as the author’s own ideas), while an E1 dissertation is completely completed with various references and a clear methodology and structure. But the E1 dissertation author had complained about the supervisor’s unprofessional behavior like dictatorship of only allowing the student to have one research question with four objectives while others can do one research aim, several questions and terrible attitude towards the student. Moreover, the marking process is really subjective with not very convincing statement o
Terrible. As a student at university of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School, I feel some Professor is really mean. For instance, when at class, she deliberately ceased the cases’ video, not letting students to see the whole case. And when COVID19 is attacking UK, she wasn’t considerate and didn’t allow extension even other teachers already approved the extension, she withdraw it. Moreover, the marking and dissertation depends on students’ luck, especially the marking is subjectively manipulated. There is no anonymity and if the supervisor doesn’t like you, you will get extremely low score while some student with unaccomplished random writing dissertation( according to what the students original saying)and got A from some nice supervisor. The unequal outcomes revealed the low value from this school. So basically, it depends on luck. Should rather spend the tuition on gambling instead of giving it to feed the terrible Professor and supervisor.
The University of Glasgow and its Adam Smith Business School are excellent. I learnt many things and very happy to study here.
They have started using external security to keep us in our accommodation. These men have keys to every building, flat and room and can enter unannounced making us all feel extremely unsafe and vulnerable - what if someone was changing or getting in the shower? what if someone was sleeping and they came in? how can the university be sure these men won’t harm any of us? It’s ridiculous that we’re paying £120+ a week to be watched like animals.
University of Glasgow offers a great campus with many opportunities for students to socialise and learn.
It was amazing loved every minute of it
I stay in 333 for 2 years. I appreciate the staff team, particularly Safa who offers great and timely supports!
university life is pretty interesting.
I absolutely adore this university and am so happy I chose to study here. The professors that teach, the courses that you can choose from, the stunning campus, and the lovely students I had the pleasure of meeting. I would come back any day!
Great facilities, some academics are exceptional whereas others are average, good library
Incredible university. Beautiful main building and excellent lecturers
gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood
It is one of the top 100 universities in the world.
Have loved my first year at Glasgow University
It's a lovely and great university! Proud to be a part of such place!
There are a lot of activities that you can get involved in which makes University life much easier to make friends
You can't play game with Jniversity wifi I think they block IP haha. However, if you are studious type wifi here is very good for use to connect with University library website which allow you to explore many thing. Career service seems didn't help that much for international student who want to working abroad after graduated here
Great uni. Lots of socializing and teaching standards are not too bad.
Great uni with good facilities.
The location and the views in and around the University are great and there is so many activities always happening and support provided
Happy overall with my decision going to Glasgow Uni
A great place to learn and socialise. Great gym and unions.
Really good campus and beautiful location
Glasgow university is okay but it quite old. The library toilets needs more money invested in them
Great university. I have had a great time learning new things and meeting new people.
The facilities provided by the university are quite outdated, where the computers always tend to be lack of memory. The clubs and societies here are great but I believe they could be done better in promoting people to join.
I think my uni is a good place to study and make new friends in different backgrounds.
Perfect place. Perfect education. Perfect staff. No regrets.
The campus is beautiful. The university provides different trainings for students in addition to the regular courses.
Great university with a fantastic social element, and focus on transformation and development.
Really? My uni is great. Come to University of Glasgow. Come to Education College.
All in all, this is a very, very good school. The teachers, classmates, staff and residents around me are all very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful, giving me a very good overseas study experience.
UofG is excellent! is one of the best university in Scotland or in UK. believe me, you will not regret to join the UofG
The school network is very fast, it is very convenient to study in the library, the library only has hot water on the third floor, and it is not free, this needs to be improved.
There are a lot of clubs and societies you can find in GU. The campus is beautiful and pretty big and it is on the hill. You can do some physical exercise every day. The Internet works properly in the most time. Career services can be more friendly to international students.
this university is my dream university, not only because of the beautiful and ancient building but also the teachers in my major and the learning atmosphere in the library. All of these are the reasons I fall in love with my university.
A beautiful and large university. I can feel the history in this university and the environment is good here.
A good uni to go to. I recommend.
Great looking campus with lots of continuing development and new buildings being built
The campus is very beautiful. I enjoy every moment in the university. Professors are professional and I acquire a lot useful knowledge from the lessons.
GOOD choice I will recommend my friends this school!
Great lecturers and online services.
Everything is great, through the social activities, I get well with many good friends.
The building is so stunning as a university in UK. However, some of the lecturers are a bit tricky on the exam or mid term exam.
beautiful university!the staff is nice!
UofG has very comfy facilities, beneficial non-academic programs and career services. The uni administration has a supportive, student-friendly liberal mindset, which is really super-cool. HOWEVER, the teaching itself is not that great mainly due to the large size of cohorts. There are constantly striking unions of professors which cause the loss of a lot of hours of courses. This is extremely unfair given the amount of money and effort students put into those courses. The uni administration is not even slightly bothered by the situation and cba to respond to students' complaints for the loss of these hours. 6-7 weeks of strike left us somewhat shocked and has been hugely to the detriment of the course of my education at UofG. The programs expect you to compensate for those weeks on your own. With regard to teaching and strikes, they are in extreme need of getting their things together.
Great and beautiful university. It is a great experience for me to study in this university. The facilities are all good but sometimes it is difficult to find the classrooms.
The campus is pretty good, and service is great
Best university in Scotland and the United Kingdom
Good good good Good good good Good good good Good good good Good good good
I'm in GIC now, and I've had a good experience since August last year. The teachers are excellent and the lessons are good. GIC staff sometimes prepare snacks for students. It's very considerate.
Can’t fault our uni; something for everyone here and top notch teaching.
The campus is stunning like a magic school. Also, warm and kind staff.
School is very close to my accommodation, campus is quite beautiful. And facilities are very convenient
I seldom to join the social group for fun.
The university that met my expectations! I am having a lovely time here and the professors are remarkably helpful. The students are all friendly and are there for you. The campus is beautiful and when the weather is just right it is even more stunning.
Extremely well-regarded and internationally ranked within the world top 65 universities. Enjoys a great reputation for high-level research and pretty much helped me enormously in getting into a PhD program. Did a MSc in Data Analytics (School of Mathematics & Statistics). Academic requirements and workload are pretty high so is the quality of teaching and staff. You will get expertise from some of the best researchers, many of them at the forefront of contemporary science. The University has a strong academic mindset this is more suitable for research inclined students, however, might not be ideal for practice seeking people. Overall, I dont regret anything about my choice for Glasgow University, it is a world-class institution. The knowledge and skills learned here will open you many new doors so do embrace it.
Overall, my experience in the University was amazing. I started being a close-minded brat and ended up being a well-rounded individual with loads of experiences. I appreciate the personalised services provided by the university and would recommend students to apply for its courses. However, the academic experience needs more work and a few courses in my field were unexpectedly vegetative and could be improved when it comes to the tutoring or co-curricular activities. If University of Glasgow is in your mind, just go for it without a second thought.
High standard and excellent academic learning materials.
The facility in the campus are well developed, the reputation of the university is good as well
