I will say the booking process for me wasn't the greatest as the website wasn't too clear on who I would be sharing with, but once I spoke with the team in Glasgow they cleared up for me the situation. I also will note the welcome myself and my parents received was really kind and helpful. Setting up my wi-fi and helping with my many bags. Since I checked in there are plenty of things going on, competitions, free breakfast food, good communication for what's going on and a really nice friendly greeting and goodbye each day. I also like having my independence so having that is very important and it's not too much, and always just very caring and appropriate.

Glasgow Caledonian University is a mere three-minute walk away, Strathclyde University is a ten-minute walk away and The University of Glasgow is twenty-five minutes away via public transport. When wanting to get out and about, you can explore the many restaurants, bars and forms of entertainment all located on your doorstep.
The building has been fitted with all the bells and whistles to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. There are plenty of social spaces for you to enjoy, including a gym, a private dining room, a cinema, karaoke, a games room and a courtyard. If you are looking to meet your neighbours you can join one of the many on-site and virtual events. For your benefit, there is fast WiFi, a laundry room, a 24-hour team and all bills are included in the rent.

The staff are lovely and friendly and the complex feels safe and well taken care of. However, there is a severe noise issue with certain rooms being vulnerable to conversations outside well until 4am near daily during the week. Quiet hours in Glasgow start at 11, but that is never followed. If you are a light sleeper, it is not a good fit. I have an eye mask (because there are also bright lights in the courtyard that bleed into the rooms) and a noise machine to drown out voices and still will be woken up at 3 or 4am. Staff suggest calling down, but by that time I am already awake and I struggle to fall back asleep. Ideally there would be more effort to prevent noise at unreasonable hours, but I have been told "You can't expect people not to talk." This would be a great accommodation for undergrads or people who are less serious about their studies. But for graduate students, and those who need to keep jobs, the lack of quiet during sleeping hours is a real area of concern.

We will always be open to trying to new things and improving everyone's stay each year. 1st floor rooms are priced lower above all the same room types on higher floors, so we factor this in at the beginning of the year as they are naturally closer to roads/courtyards . Well so far it has been around 5 weeks since I move in. At first, very strange and odd to me being here with so many people. I wanted to move out. I spent a lot of time with night team talking about my worries and wanting to go home. Nichola spent some time with me, she emails me to ask how I am, and she introduced me to other people in different rooms. I am quite shy, and would not like my name to be published, but I appreciate you and thank you for helping me. I am still some homesick, but now it's better and easier.

Today is a sad day and instead of being sad, the staff here made an aera for us to mourn the loss of Liam Payne from one direction, and also let us speak about him and how we felt. My flat and my room growing up had posters of the whole band, so this is some really tragic news. I have some with wanting some more weights in the gym, and the manager ordered them for me but honestly what a warm comforting environment for me and others. Rest in peace Liam Payne xxx

I’m so pumped that the private dining room is all done and ready to go! It looks super cool and is perfect for cooking classes and chill dinners with friends. I’m super excited about the Halloween event coming up on October 31st! They’re throwing a themed party with a Lady Gaga tribute, and it sounds like it’s going to be epic. The room is super spacious and has loads of storage, which made settling in a breeze. Honestly, the shared spaces are amazing—I’ve already spent time in the karaoke and games room, and it’s been a great way to chill out and meet new people. The cinema room is another awesome feature, perfect for movie nights or just kicking back after class. The location couldn’t be better, with uni and shops just a short walk away. Overall, the vibe here is really friendly, and the facilities are top-notch. I’m really glad I picked this place!

Okay okay first of all the cinema is outrageous and so big! So good to have friends round and it's so modern and user friendly. Haven't been anywhere else but the study room is also phenom and big and clean and ideal when doing group stuff. It makes such a difference here. Also the security is so good and having someone constantly at reception makes me feel really safe.

The room is bright, spacious, and has more than enough storage, making it easy to settle in. The shared spaces have been a real highlight—I’ve already spent time in the karaoke and games room, which are perfect for unwinding and meeting new people. The cinema room is a fantastic addition too, ideal for movie nights or just relaxing after classes. The location is also super convenient, with uni and local shops just a short walk away. The great amenities and friendly vibe make it an excellent place to live as a student

刚搬进我的学生宿舍，整体体验真的非常棒！房间干净、现代，而且比我想象的要宽敞很多，储物空间足够放下我的所有东西。本来有些担心会想家，但这里的社区氛围非常好，让我感觉很温暖。公共区域非常舒适，我已经通过在这些共享空间闲逛认识了好几个新朋友。 宿舍的位置非常便利，离校园很近，周围还有很多商店和咖啡馆。无论是去上课还是购物都非常方便。而且，工作人员也非常友好和乐于助人，帮我顺利地过渡到大学生活。 当然，也有一些小问题，比如偶尔有些吵闹的夜晚或是电梯有点慢，但这毕竟是学生宿舍的常态，也算是生活中的小插曲。总体来说，我对这里非常满意，如果你正在寻找一个舒适且位置优越的宿舍，强烈推荐这个地方。

Moving into my new student accommodation has been such a positive experience, and I can’t believe how quickly it’s starting to feel like home. From the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything went. The check-in process was super organized—no long waits or confusion, which made settling in so much easier. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which put me at ease right away. They gave me a quick tour of the facilities and made sure I had all the information I needed, which was great because moving to a new place can be pretty overwhelming. The room itself is fantastic. It’s a good size, bright, and has everything I need to study, relax, and unwind after a long day of classes. I love that it feels modern and clean, and the fact that it was ready to go when I moved in meant I didn’t have to stress about setting up a lot of things. The storage space is much better than I expected too—I can actually fit all my stuff, which is saying something!

Good music always playing in the building. Staff are friendly during move in, helped with luggage, spoke with my parents to put them at ease. New shop is nice, events coming up and free food/breakfast always good. Other residents really friendly too and a good feeling in this building.

This place is a home away from home. I like the safety of the reception and knowing that the reception team are here all the time. I like that it's central to everywhere I need to be, and the new store being built outside is so good. Also the big halloween party coming up, so much effort has been put into this.

Being a student nurse this place is great. it's clean, tidy, and organised. I've met a lot of people on my course and got to make nice new friends. Event wise it's been good with stuff coming up to look forward too! And lots of stuff happening in general. Happy to be here and will be booking for next year.

It's been amazing to leave here, the front desk service is so nice! I had a leakage in my toilet and they got it fixed in less than 24 hours.
Oh no! We hate any kind of maintenance drama but lucky for us we have a team of skilled reception and maintenance who can fix almost anything! Enjoy your new toilet babe x

This is the best accommodation in Glasgow, it's very close to my university, I study in University of Strathclyde. The neighbours here are respectful and fantastic! I LOVE the facilities here like cinema room, and gaming room, and especially the gym, The most important thing is the staff here are super and get things done really quickly.

Love my flat here in Canvas. Met some really good friends and have good nights out. I've came right into this place and met a lot of people for life. The people who email us seem to help before anything bad happens like I couldn't get the wifi but they emailed asking if I needed anything and helped me with it. Only thing I would like is if there were more song choices on the karaoke! I want some more gaga.

From Australia and had no idea what I was walking in to but straight away I felt safe and welcomed here. Nothing was too much of an ask and I forgot to pack bedding but they sorted me out and got me everything I needed. I had the best sleep straight away and all my new friends nearby are so JEALOUS of my digs. I like it here and would like to stay here for the rest of my time in scotland.

As an international student, moving to a new country was pretty nerve-wracking, especially when it came to finding a place to live. But honestly, choosing this student accommodation was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Right from the start, I felt safe, which was super important to me being so far from home. The security here is top-notch, with cameras everywhere and secure entry points, so I never have to worry about coming back late or anything like that. Plus, the staff are always around and really helpful, which made settling in a breeze. They totally get what it’s like to be an international student, and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The community here is amazing—I’ve met people from all over the world, and there’s always something going on that brings everyone together. I started living at Canvas Glasgow when it opened in 2019 and, even though five years have gone by, building common areas, which were designed by including an abundance of natural light and open floor plans, have been well-preserved thanks to regular maintenance and refurbishment. As far as I am concerned, online room descriptions match with the real state of things and the on-site staff does not work for money only, but they are committed to providing a seamless customer experience. Even though I cannot rate the social experience because I have never taken the opportunity to be involved in the activities arranged, I can only suppose that they are as structured and balanced as their organisers. The cleaning team and the engineer working in loco act as a caring team by contributing to the livability of the property. The only reason I assigned four stars to "value for money" is that, in my opinion, my rent rate has disproportionately been increased in the last two years.

communication with the staff is key and in this building it is very good. The views in the room are so nice too and can see all of Glasgow. The location is great and close to everything I could need. Only thing I would say is more events. There are currently around 3 or 4 a month but more is always better.

I have enjoyed my time in the building. Staff are extremely helpful. I get on with my flatmates and have made friends for life, they are are really friendly. I would like air con but this seems to not be common in UK!!

the kitchen is big and lots of space to share. I Like the extra staff at night time if I need anything which is reassuring. The courtyard is also nice in the summer with lots of nice green plants and a nice view from the kitchen.

Study room is good but would be better if it was more space to have to yourself, but there is currently a refurb happening so that will have a new study room in August so can't wait for that.

I have been staying here for more than 2 years and still thinking to stay later on. They have a great staff welcoming you in the entrance. General quality of rooms and common grounds are worth the price. I had two problems in the beginning and when I let them know about it, they provided what I need in an hour or maximum 2. There is always some event going on in social spaces, sometimes when you come from school, a guy with random funny costume says hello to you.

A nice enough place to stay and the staff working the desk on the cleaning crew and on maintenance are absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, it is very pricey and there have been consistent issues with promised amenities being broken or unusable for sometimes months at a time (laundry machines, gym equipment, power outages with no compensation, karaoke room out of order). The cost of laundry is absolutely atrocious when we pay as much as we do, and the machines aren't very big or very effective (should be free imo).
Oh no. Our Laundry is ran by circuit, the same ones and sizes in every accom in the UK, there's always been one dodgy machine that *sometimes * works but the rest have always worked great. Ever any issues let us know! In terms of the Karaoke, cinema etc these are all working great, but sometimes some people think they are technicians and remove all the cables to plug in their phones/laptops which makes it look like it's not working, but it's actually all good, just let one of us know and we can fix it for you! I hear you about the cost of laundry we do offer lots of free laundry cards during our competitions all year round so be sure to follow us on the insta for a chance to win!
Its safe to say that this is the best student accommodation in Glasgow. So many social spaces and its a great place to forge new friendships and bonds. The rooms are splendid and the staff are really amazing and friendly. I’m going to miss living here and would recommend this place for any student looking for accommodation in Glasgow.

I can’t be happier with my decision to live at Canvas, I wish I was a student longer! The staff is more like my family, always looking out for me (even made me a care package when I lost my dog of eight years). The events they organise are always fun (free massages, yes please!) and make me feel like I’m part of a community. Everyone who visits me here leaves starry eyed!

I've been living at Canvas since a year and haven't missed home for even a single day. The staff here makes me feel SO loved. The rooms are new and clean, we have a gym downstairs, sooooo many fun events that we never get bored in the building. To be honest, the best decision! Esp cause I'm at strathclyde it is even easier cause it is so close to my place. Thanks to Aarass for always listening to my random stories, to Lauren for being so sweet and helpful, and to all other staff - I LOVE YOU GUYS! I would recommend canvas to anyone who is looking for a nice clean chill accommodation with fun people to be around. Also it's right in the city centre - like away from the noise but close enough to go to all main areas by walk. George Square and sauchiehall is 10 mins away by walk and buchanan bud Station is 4 mins away. Great location.

I have explored & stayed at multiple student accommodations, including the uni halls itself, but I have to say Canvas is indeed one of the best ones out there in Glasgow. First, the building itself is so bright & airy thanks to glass walls and high roofs. Secondly, their Private Dining Room is such a nice addition which you can book free of charge for hosting parties. I use it SO much. Also their gym is actually useable with no odour & regular cleaning unlike many other student accommodations that I've lived at. The office staff here is a small team of fun and easy going people - which makes it really easy to settle in, especially as an international student. Regardless of the nature of your problem, they're always there to help! They've had a new hire recently, Aarass, & even though she didn't know me well, I encountered an issue with my stolen bank card & she helped me phone the bank and got it all sorted for me! I'd have lost SO much money otherwise. A big THANKYOU to her!!! :D

The staff are by far the best part of living here, they are always so nice and helpful. Brian the maintenance man is the best, always resolving issues in canvas as well as being a great chat and a laugh. The staff here also make me feel very safe and accepted for who i am. There is a range of events on all the time for all kinds of interests and holiday. The night staff are also so lovely and do such a great job. 10/10 Would recommend to students wanting a great place to stay and 100% worth the money.

Having stayed here for 3 months so far I can say that it's the best student accommodation I've ever had. Rooms are very convenient and light, New furniture and beautiful interior. Amazing social spaces with such amenities as gym, cinema, studying and karaoke rooms, there's also a table tennis, pool game and an air hockey (which is my favourite 😁). They also have a private dining room so you can organise a huge party and invite your friends (I’m planning on doing that). These all are included in price which was a huge surprise for me. The stuff team here is amazing ❤️ They are very friendly and will help you out if you have any problem. Very kind and lovely people, I’m glad to be friends with them! The other advantage is that it’s quite here at Canvas. You don’t get to wake up at the middle of the night from someone screaming outside the house at it’s a quiet area but still close to the city centre!

Canvas Glasgow is the perfect option if you are looking not only for an accommodation, but also for an exciting experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and is always ready to help you out (Kudos to Andrew and Gary for helping me out and being such amazing people!). The social spaces are very nice as well, and the cherry on top is the amount of events they organise (like for Pancake Day, Valentine's Day etc). The only thing I would suggest the team is to be a bit more strict with the kitchen situations. It might be possible that your shared kitchen is dirty and messy, which obviously depends on your flatmates. Even though there are weekly inspections, the action taken does not seem enough. Besides this flaw, the overall experience is great and I would suggest any student to join this incredible accommodation.

Out of all the student accommodations I've stayed at during my time in Glasgow, Canvas has been the most welcoming and most homely of all of them! The staff is incredible and always ready and willing to help with just about anything. The amenities such as the Gym and Cinema room make it a great place to socialize and meet fellow students. The location is the perfect distance from City Centre and only a few minutes walk to the nearest subway station.

This is the best accommodation. All the staff are great but especially Gary and Hayleigh are perfect sweet and kind. There are many events. On Eastern I even won the presents. I love this accommodation.

it was my first time leaving home this year, as a 17 year old i was nervous about moving to a whole new city and scared to make friends. staying at canvas glasgow has been amazing and even on my first day i felt more than welcomed. it’s a lovely designed place with lots of things to do around the campus! they also hold activities to do where it helps you meet loads of other people, a few examples of this is massages, party’s, celebrations for different religions and many more. i have had a positive experience in canvas, one thing i love the most is the lovely team of workers they have to help you through out the year. i want to make a special mention to the lovely lauren that works the front desk during the day she’s always there to meet you with a lovely smile and a conversation, nicola she works nighttime and is always there to help when you need it, Gary the deputy manager with his funny personality and the maintenance guy Brian which you see around the campus. i want to say a big

Over the last two years I have resided in Canvas Glasgow and had an over all extremely positive experience. The location is perfect as it’s two minutes away from my university, perfect for rolling out of bed in the morning. it’s really close to the city centre which is very convenient. Canvas Glasgow is really modern and clean and offers a great set of amenities as well as social nights and events where residents can mix and socialise. There are so many good things about canvas however the staff are by far the best part, they are very friendly and always happy to help with whatever you need or just for a chat. Gary, one if the staff is one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met he never fails to put a smile on everyone’s face. If your thinking of living at Canvas Glasgow I would highly recommend it

Since I moved in in September, I have found a (second) home here in Glasgow. For me, the proximity to the University of Strathcylde, a nice and competent team that is always ready to help you and the service that is offered here is particularly positive. Even though I really appreciate everyone in the team, Marikus is the best for me! I would recommend this student residence to anyone who wants to live comfortably and still enjoy student life. There is a lot on offer here, from a cinema and karaoke room, to various socialising events and a team available 24/7 - living here is definitely a nice experience and makes the student years a bit more enjoyable :).

been here for a few months. nice building room is big and good storage. minutes walk to city centre but not in the middle of loud streets so can get a good night sleep. good support from staff and good mixers and free stuff most days.

It’s a very nice place to live. The people who work here are friendly and helpful and they organize a lot of fun events. It’s closest to Strathclyde and Caledonian universities but if you don’t mind using public transport, University of Glasgow is also very easy to travel to. I would definitely recommend.

Had free food and drinks waiting on move in day. Helpful staff on duty 24/7. Rooms are lovely (I got silver package). Kitchen is nice however there is no toaster or kettle. The gym is lovely as well as the karaoke room and the cinema which you can reserve for up to 4 hours. The building itself is slightly weird in its shape. Meaning that people in C block can see into A block bedroom windows and vice versa. Other than that lovely. It’s a plus that it has lifts in every block.

Boyce house is my second home, with friendly and helpful staff, a clean environment. I like their social activities like Halloween, New Year, Valentine's Day and more. The location is great, 5mins walk to GCU, 8mins walk to Strathclyde uni and 6mins walks to Buchanan bus station!

AMAZING place to stayyyy! Friendly stuff, quick response for any enquiry. The parcel pick up procedure is very well-organized, very convenient for online shopping. The location is great, 10 minutes walk to the city center, subway, bus station and railway station!!! Nearby GCU, City U campuses, 8 minutes drive (12mins subway) to UofG. Facilities are great here, and equipments work very well!! Love this place and 5/5 recommended.

It’s a great place to live in. Even though it’s a little expensive that other accommodations, it makes up for that with their amenities and especially their staff. They’re very quick to resolve any issue and the place always feels fresh. The rooms and kitchens are super spacious too!

Have had a really amazing experience with canvas. All the staff are lovely, friendly, and make an effort to know you which is really nice when moving to a new city alone. All the social spaces are always kept clean. Best gym facilities of all the other private student halls I’ve seen. 15min walk from Strathclyde uni and a quick walk into town. Would really recommend canvas to any student looking for accommodation next year!

This student accommodation is very cozy, nice, and on top of that, clean. The staff, everyone from reception, housekeeping to maintenance, have very affable personalities. Moreover, this student accommodation also holds a variety of monthly events that will surely to keep anyone satisfied while they are there! Location-wise, it couldn't be any more convenient - a few minutes walk to the nearest bus station, a Tesco that is just in walking distance, and it's located close to two universities; Glasgow Caledonian and Strathclyde. I'd highly recommend this particular student accommodation to anyone who is in search of one as it can't get any better than this!

Canvas Glasgow is a great, comfortable place. The location is second to none with a short walk until your in the middle of town and great if your a student of Glasgow Caledonian. The social spaces are great places to hang out with friends or chill out by yourself. If you have any issue the staff are amazing in their response along with their friendly attitude. I still remember my first day as an international student at Canvas. It was incredibly challenging to relate to individuals. But because I've been living there since September, Canvas seems like home to me. The amenities offered go above and beyond what is expected for the price, making living here a great value. All nearby universities, the city centre, and public transportation are all easily accessible from this handy location. The property management staff has been excellent, warm, attentive, and prompt in resolving any issues with maintenance. superior at planning events. The social area offered in the accomodation has been excellent, providing a friendly environment for interaction with other students. My social life has greatly improved, and it has made it possible for me to establish deep ties. The top student accommodation in Glasgow, in my opinion, is Canvas. For me, it has been an absolutely extraordinary experience.

I have lived here since September. I can honestly say I was terrified of moving to the UK but the people here make you feel so welcome and put you at ease. I speak with mainly Gary and Lindsey and they are so nice. They have nice parties for meeting people and the building looks great and new. Other buildings I had viewings in looked very dated but this is like a brand new building and always something happening. Staff are easy on the eye too 😃

Lived here for a few months and miles ahead of the other building ( ACROSS THE ROAD) I get a good nights sleep and my flat mates are lovely. Only issue I had was my blind broke but between all the staff they fixed it so fast. They all pitched in and are always there even when I was a bit down there's always somebody to talk to. Defo book here if you can!

I had an amazing stay at the Canvas Glasgow. The accommodation is extremely well managed and conveniently located. Rooms are spacious and the common areas provide a variety of activities that can be enjoyed in groups or solo. Gary and his team managing the space are extremely cordial, friendly and helpful right from the day you step into this lovely, well spaced and carefully maintained accommodation. Paying to much for the accommodation, for there to constantly be issues with the water. Been left without hot/warm water multiple times over my stay. Including a full day of brown water coming out all stinks, showers and toilets. Wifi goes down a lot! Not good when we still have online classes. Lastly most of the washing machines seem to not work. Staff are friendly, and make it an enjoyable time, but it’s far to expensive for all the issues.

If you are an international student coming to Glasgow, I would recommend staying at canvas. Gary, Lindsay and all the team are amazing. From Check-in onwards everything was well done. All questions answered with no bother. All issues resolved with no fuss. For a wheelchair user, Boyce House is a great place to spend the year away from home. Anything I needed was provided with no bother. The celebrations: Hallowe'en, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc were a lot of fun too. Thank you to everyone

I loved staying here so much. The building was really modern and the room was nice but the best part of staying in Glasgow was the staff. They went above and beyond to help me with anything I need, even out with canvas. Even on my first day I was so nervous about making friends and they told me “well you already have a group of pals right here” and I definitely felt that way. Would totally recommend staying here for anyone looking at accommodation.

Was great in my first year but things just got worse. Only allowed Bluetooth key on mobile device and it was not accessible at all. Lift in accommodation is always smelly, fridge in kitchen is not maintain and take months for staff to get them replaced. Do not recommend for the price.

The staff is so amazing. I feel like home here. Andrew has looked after me since day 1. Lauren, Bryan, Marcus, dainis have been amazing. But the only thing is Canvas increded there prices too high. I am paying more than double this year than I did before. This should not be done to students. But the people at the reception deserve a pay rise.

I haven't missed home a single day since I started living here. The staff are not only super helpful and competent, but like a little family, always taking care of us and organising cute events and pop ups. Their little gestures will always be with me wherever I go from here and I'll miss this place like crazy when I leave!!

I only moved in in February as my flights were delayed with restrictions in my country, the staff were checking on me making sure I was okay and offering help even before I moved in, when I arrived my room was lovely and they had taken all my packages to my room already which was so nice , shower blocks occasionally but maintenance is there usually on the day to fix, always free breakfast, pizza and mixers which is nice to meet new friends, I won’t be staying next year but I really like what I’ve experienced so far

I definitely gotten lucky when i chosen this building, the staff are incredibly friendly and are always there to help, the rooms are great with a decent amount of storage, 1 issue is my router hasnt been working in my room since I moved in which has only taken away the ethernet option. Overall the builsing is definitely worth it, the memories and experiences i have had in this building are ones that will stay with me my whole life.

I have lived here since september 2021 and have met some of my best friends living here. All the staff are really nice, helpful and fun. The building is such a lovely place to live and I’ve rebooked for next year.

I've been living at Canvas since September 2021 when I started my 1st year of uni. I was quite nervous to move out and into student accommodation because I have some pals that have found it difficult but I have absolutely loved my time at Canvas. I had some issues with my flatmates in the beginning and the staff were all so helpful and now everyone is much happier. Canvas have put on really good events which has helped everybody in the building really bond and i've met some of my closest mates through them. We've all rebooked for the same flat next year too!

Lived here for the last year, my favourite so far and rebooking for my final year. Staff are nice and helpful, maintenance issues fixed on the day and never waiting long for anything. Always something going on like at Christmas we had real life reindeers. Only downside is that I’ll be leaving in a year.

I stayed at Boyce House from July 2021-November 2021 and I found the staff to be very welcoming and ensured that I had a bag of freebies upon arriving which included cups, pens and other canvas merchandise along with a free drink. They respond to all e-mails very quickly and the maintenance team are also very responsive to repairs/maintenance requests within twenty fours. I cannot fault them in any way and it has been a pleasure to see how committed they are to residents, listening to feedback and the social calandar. They are very proactive which is impressive to see. The location of Canvas Glasgow is two-three minutes away from my university and ten minutes away from the city centre and has excellent links to public transport with the local train station, taxi rank and bus station. The only feedback I would give is that bins are given to residents when they move in as kitchen & bedroom had no bin.
