Thank you for your interest in our 24/7 gym at Dobbie's Point! Our gym contains a treadmill, rowing machine, two types of stationary bike, cross trainers, a cable machine, and a selection of medicine balls. There is also space in the centre of the room for you to bring down your own equipment such as yoga mats or free weights so you can complete your home workouts with more space and alongside other residents looking for their fitness fix!

Cleaning is not provided within the weekly price, however we do have the option for our residents to sign up to our Resident Cleaning Service which is a fortnightly subscription-based service where you can pay either in advance or with your rent for a clean of your room or communal spaces. Once you have access to your Student Roost portal you can have a look at pricing and cleaning options for your flat!

I've really loved living here and it's been such a safe and supportive environment! The staff in particular are excellent and so welcoming, warm, kind and supportive with anything you might need. There's always a friendly face at reception and I am so happy with my choice of choosing to love here during my studies! It's made so much sense to have everything sorted so that I could focus at university.
Stayed in the building for nearly 4 years, staff are always so helpful and lovely! Plenty of events planned throughout the month, all bills included in rent.
I would recommend this place as an international student.

this year has been interesting so far. social aspect is okay, making a few friends was easy. the projected prices for 25/26 are too high for what the room is, quite impossible to afford for domestic and international students, questions about leaving uni are coming up because of this. —this year prices are already at its peak too, wish they would bring them down during the maintenance period since all the main study/social/outside spaces are gone. this year has seemed a bit hostile; interactions seem formal and dis-genuine, hard to come down and be social with the team because of this. regardless there are definitely friendly faces here and there. starting to question wether rebooking is even worth it.

You will definitely feel home at Dobbies. The staffs are very welcoming and willing to help you whenever you need. The accommodation is in a good location and there is a Tesco in the same building, which, believe me, it’s veeeery convenient. I loved my experience and I highly recommend it!

Highly recommended. The location is unbeatable, it has ample space to study or socialise and the flats are well equipped. The team is very comprehensive and friendly, always very quick to solve any problem, and if you are bored you can always go down to the reception and chat with them for a while.

I recommend to anyone despite issues we experienced. There was a time we were left without hot water and the team gave us access to alternate room to shower in, in the meantime. Whenever we had problems they would helps us deal with them and respond to emails really fast. Repairs were dealt with really quick as well. Location is excellent as well :)

I love the way people can meet up in the downstairs and actually do that. Staff are always amazingly nice and have good ideas on events. The place is also really close to two universities. If, however, you go to UofGlasgow, you have the double trouble of living away from any social city spaces and a good way from your uni. The view on a car dealership is a little depressing.

Dobbies Point: Exceptional Staff, Unforgettable Experience! Dobbies Point exceeded my expectations, thanks to its exceptional staff. Led by Layla, the manager, the team, including Ani, Maria, Chris, Kennedy, Amy, Tommy, Jordan, Urzula, Donna, Belin, and Eddy, provided outstanding service. From their warm and welcoming approach to their commitment to resident satisfaction, they created a comfortable and memorable stay. I highly recommend Dobbies Point for its exceptional staff and unforgettable student accommodation experience.
Staff made my experience. They encourage everyone to be sociable and make new friends with the events they hold. Some nights when i felt i just wanted to go home the reception staff were always so welcoming and friendly (shoutout to Urzula and Aimee). always a warm welcome at the front door by Maria, Teigan and Layla which is sometimes what you need after a hard or stressful day at uni. Rooms are modern. had the best 2 years living here going to miss everyone, my experience wouldn’t have been the same without Dobbie’s!!!
Great customer service and location, a bit too expensive
I have spent the past 2 years living in Dobbies Point and i couldn't have had a better living experience. I enjoyed my first year so much that i decided to stay a second year. The location couldn't be much better as it is a 5 minute walk from the Glasgow Caledonian University and also all of the shops. The staff really made the stay. Layla, Natasha, Maria, Ani, Tiegan, Eddie, Donna, Urzula, Amy, Tommy and Jordan are always there to help and even there just to chat. They make a big effort to make a memorable stay for all students. I will never forget Dobbies and best believe I will be back to visit :)
the Dobbies point staff have been beyond helpful throughout my stay, however having to pay extra for cleaning services on top of the quite high rent prices is a big ask. The social aspects of dobbies has been great, where they run lots of events for us.
Really enjoyed Dobbie's Point overall but can't rate it highly for value for money due to the construction that has been happening since January. It is frustrating because the experience of having the construction people was annoying but the staff were nothing but helpful moving around dates because I work night shift just wish I didn't live here the year they have to do work on every room. Everything else has been great, made some good friends, room is a bit marked up but comfortable, and the staff have been a real highlight for me both day and night team (especially letting me in to the accommodation at all hours of the night - sorry!) I would recommend living here as long as the construction is finished otherwise you may lose some sleep for a few weeks.
Horrendous experience at this accommodation,, barely slept all year the noise was so bad from the courtyard and staff did nothing about it when complained about. Had an unfortunate experience with a very noisy flatmate who kept me awake all night and made me scared to go into shared kitchen / living room and nothing was done for months after various complaints made by multiple other flatmates. This flatmate managed to house two pets in our flat: a cat and a dog despite this being against regulations and the allergies of some other flatmates. Probably slept well and peacefully about twice and i lived there from september- april. Do not recommend for the price it has cost.
Overall great time staying at Dobbie's. My experience has been made by the team tbh. Having the 24/7 support is great and they give us free stuff lol.
Absolutely speechless and have with no words to share how satisfied and amazed I've been honestly living here for a year. A tonne of memories and a bag of great experiences. Lots of events, wonderful staff and the best accommodation in Glasgow for sure. I will never forget how supportive the team has been to me and every other student here. It has truly been my home away from home. It felt like finding a family and I did not in any way feel alienated as an international student here. Layla, Maria, Katie, Tiegan, Jordan, Urzsula, Amy, Eddie & every one else have been no less than a blessing. Highly recommended and I wish I could stay longer. Thank you Student Roost. I had a wonderful stay at Dobbie’s Point while I was at college. All the staff were amazing. Jordan, Steven and Urszula were always on hand to help with my middle of the night mental crisis. Jeannie and Jessie were always class to hang out with at the weekend. During the week Maria and Ani were superstars and were always there to help, Donna’s an absolute gem and I always loved coming to Natasha and Fiona for a chat. Internet was really good, I’m a streamer and game a lot so it was great for download and upload. Regular fire alarms made me feel safe. Communal spaces were really tidy and kept in great condition. Really safe place to stay, gonna miss it a lot:(
I stayed here when I was in first year. Nice enough room, good flatmates, fantastic location. BUT the lifts broke pretty much once a month at least. I lived in the blue block and when I had come home from a&e one day, the blue lift was broken and the staff told me they couldn’t let me use another lift and open a door for me to get to my flat. I had the option of waiting 3 hours for the lift or climbing 9 flights of stairs, fresh out of hospital.

Great accomodation, the staff are so lovely and totally willing to help at any point. The large living area and kitchen is so good for socialising in the flat and the facilities throughout the accommodation are always clean and easy to use/access. Also a great location, I cant fault it.
I have stayed here for nearly 3 years now. There has always been a really welcoming atmosphere, the staff are always friendly smiling and accommodating.
Staff sometimes just walk into your flat unannounced
•Internet always has maintenance works going on. •When flatmates are extremely messy management does not care. •All management cares about is receiving your rent payments on time. •Everything advertised that says this accommodation cares about its tenants is a lie. •Only positive is the location of this accommodation.
The team has really helped with all the enquiries I got. They are very kind and available anytime, which I appreciate a lot.
I used to love living here but the staff have favourites and let them hang around and everyone else is brushed to the side the night people and security officers are lazy and just sit with there feet up and you have to wait until they are ready to get up Maria is superb and Iain to Fiona Zack and Calum are way to stuck up and bossy it was better when I first moved in now it’s different and not as enjoyable

Although we provide cleaning for all our communal areas in the building we do leave your own personal space like your bedroom and shared kitchen up to yourselves and/or your flatmates. We could not agree more that it's a nice place to stay, in terms of expensive, we're not the cheapest in town but that means we offer so much more than the places that are. We offer different rooms all at different price points which all include 24 hour use of our on site cinema, gym & communal areas to use whenever you like along with 24 hour security. On top of that we have a full social calendar all free of charge too. Thank you again for the review :)
Mixed reviews about being here, not sure if I enjoy it. Staff are quite rude and V moody. Loads of drug dealers around in the evenings especially in OUR home which I don’t understand why it’s not being taken seriously.

If you wouldn't mind coming to our reception to talk to one of our team or sending us an email with the details of when this happened we will be more than happy to look into it and take the appropriate action. We do have a 24 hour reception who take a record of every single one of our guests and their guests who enter the building, along with CCTV throughout to discourage this type of behaviour. Although not an excuse you will understand our building has hundreds of people currently living inside and it would be near impossible to keep track of everyones movements without someone informing us. I lived here before，I enjoy the facilities and living environment here，stuffs here are kind and nice as well and they could offer me help whenever I wanted.Considering my own particular situation，I had no options but to renew my room when the expire date was approaching.Obviously it couldn't be that good as it was too late and almost all the rooms were occupied so that I had few choices.Normally under this kind of circumstances，the stuff would not be willing to bother with that，you can choose to leave or stay as so many students want to move in，it's your own business. But stuffs in dobbie's not.What impressed me most was that Maria worked very hard to help me coordinate the room so that I could live with Dobbie's longer and enjoyed the last time here. Fiona is also a best lady I have ever met，as a manager，she has loads of things to coordinate and process everyday，I really appreciate it as she thinks for me indeed and makes things that seems difficult easy.
