very sophisticated university with good staff
All good, I love the amazing facilities!
Living in the student dormitory has been an exceptional experience for me. The rooms are not only spacious and well-lit, but they are also designed with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that we have ample space for both study and relaxation. The dormitory is equipped with all the necessary amenities that a student could need. The high-speed Wi-Fi connection ensures that I can complete my assignments and research without any interruptions. The common areas are always clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for both socializing and studying. One of the highlights of living here is the sense of community. The dormitory organizes regular events that help us to get to know our fellow residents better, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among us. The location of the dormitory is another major plus point. It is conveniently located close to the university of Glasgow, making it easy for us to get to our classes on time. There are also plenty of shops and
Love my experience at UoG, the people and professors are wonderful. Some of the buildings are a nightmare to navigate but you get used to it.
Nice place to live in. The environment is very nice!
Ballet is definitely the best value for money and comfortable student apartment in Glasgow! Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable sofa mattresses, spacious bathrooms and kitchens, a variety of activities and the most kind, warm and friendly staff, living in ballet is really the right decision for me to come here! Highly recommended!
This flat offers a high cost-performance ratio!
Everything is great. One of the best beautiful university over the world.
great but the weather is not charming
Good but a bit awkward for travel
Lovely staff who are always available to help you with any issues ❤️
Overall good. Staffs are helpful Livid environment is good!
I think everything is good in university of Glasgow
The ballet school accommodation are really nice. The staffs here are lovely and friendly. I’ll choose here for my next year accommodation as well!
sometimes the university network is really busy and Icannot get connected to the Internet when I am in a hurry
It’s really good and inclusive
The university is a very inclusive and diverse space.
Amazing facilities and chances for social life. The food prices could be lower. Spacious multiple spaces for studying in a pleasant environment.
The campus and its services is excellent.
Very good environment. One of the most prestigious university in Scotland.
The University of Glasgow is a very good school. The students are very friendly.
The location is really near to the uni, only takes me 10 minutes walk to course. Friendly staff, high speed reaction to any problem.
Love the floor-to-ceiling Windows of the ballet, great view. In winter, the heating is very sufficient, and the staff is very warm and nice, which makes me feel warm
Great uni, has a range of activities, things to do, and many learn learning opportunities
Decent , SU is good but not amazing
A really great uni, the location is amazing and everyone is lovely
all staffes are very kind and the speed of maintance staff coming to fix my room’s issue also very fast
Completing my master's degree and currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Glasgow has been a transformative journey that has indelibly changed my life for the better. The university's rigorous academic environment, coupled with its vibrant community, has facilitated a rich learning experience that extends far beyond the confines of traditional education.
It's a good university with plenty of stuff to do
U of Glasgow is an excellent school, with some very talented professors and students alike. I've met lots of amazing people from around the world, and and learned a lot through my studies. Attending it is certainly a highlight of my academic career.
Great place to live!! Very lovely staff and it is located very close to UofG!!
Very good It was a good experience
Everyone is so nice and reception always helpful. Although the furniture and facility on here is little bit old, staffs are working very hard to try to solve this problem. I like this place.
Everything is good . Everything is good.
I like this university . The perfect environment and the best teachers!!!!
EVERYTHING IS GOOD! LOVE MY CAMPUS
everything is good!I feel lucky that I study here
Good experience! I only wish there was free or at least cheaper printing and more spaces to print papers.
Love my time here as an exchange student, frdly ppl nice environment
Studying biochemistry at the university and I have loved my 4 years studying there. Building is incredibly beautiful, staff is accommodating and helpful. Facilities overall are well maintained.
The wifi does cut out quite a lot - it’s the Eduroam system. But the James McCune Smith Learning Hub building is very modern and nice. Can be hard to get a seat lots of the time. The uni is quite big and impersonal so it can be quite lonely and when you need to access help it is hard to know the right contact, especially when someone’s email address isn’t listed on the website. There are lots of societies which is good, but you no longer get free gym membership in first year, and lots of the sports clubs need you to have that in addition to their own membership fee.
As an American international postgraduate student, I'd advise prospective students to study elsewhere. The uni is poorly run, disorganized and unhelpful. There are few study spaces and almost no amenities. Professors do not grade based on mastery of target learning objectives, do not use the full grading scale and cannot or will not explain what they are looking for in assessments and assignments. I have found most of my professors to be pretentious, unhelpful and uncaring. The grading is opaque, convoluted and entirely subjective. There are no grading rubrics or clear expectations. You will not receive feedback in time to make adjustments on future assignments, so you will be stuck working blind. There are hardly any contact hours. I have 20 total hours of class for one of my core classes. Without much instruction, it ends up being a £22,000 reading list. An average university in the US may not have the same reputation, but it will probably provide a far better education.
This is a very good apartment! I like the enthusiastic attitude of the staff and thanks a lot for their good works and dedication. There are also a lot of activities here and I have made a lot of new friends here.
I am in one of the best Universities of the world.Every thing very systematic and well kept.
Good uni and city to be in to be fair
Studying in UofG is excellent. Teachers and friends here are really easy to get along with.
I am able to finish my work on campus because of the facilities provided to us
Teachers and students service are comprehensive and really satisfying.
nothing to complain about on campus. any complaints i would have would be towards those using facilities which the university can’t do much about
Excellent University experience
Good management and guaranteed safety! Sometimes there is no hot water supply late at night.
everything is nice, and l hope the canteen can stay open longer🧚♀️
The JMS building has good study spaces.
The rooms where I had to attend my lessons where cold most of the time and there are not enough plugs around to accommodate the number of students
The Campus is beautiful, so are the additional newer buildings. There are plenty of study spaces around, though often it can get hard to find a seat. However, a lot of amenities are provided and there are many options for in campus food, such as cafes or canteens and to-go meals.
Perfect Physics Faculty and internationally qualified research opportunities
Everything is good, but I just have no time to experience everything due to the study pressure.
Perfect study hub, manages to balance modernity and traditional structures, feels great
Everything nice,it is comfortable to live here
Living here is very happy, the surrounding environment is very quiet, the manager of the apartment is very friendly, and the request can be dealt with and solved in time
very pretty main campus in all seasons
Very very very bad slow wifi experiences!!!
Excellent value for money, very close to the school and excellent accommodation
uni life is good but clubs and sports are way too expensive,, £120 + £40 for each clubs is a bit crazy
Spesificly for MBA kitchen, the cleaner are not doing her/his cleaning properly.
It is good but overall experience can be improved
Life here is so cosy. I'm enjoying it very much.
Buildings of the campus are amazing, it is great that there are variety of old buildings as well as new ones. The location of the campus is also great, it is close to city center as well. One of my favorite buildings is JMS, because of the amount of good study spaces, great catering services.
Lovely staff and amazing facilities
Poor Wi-Fi connection, the signal is very weak, takes a while to load a document
Beautiful buildings and nice shops/restaurants nearby! A lot if clubs to choose from and the cafeteria is pretty tasty!
All staffers are good, helpful and so nice of them
A great student experience so far.
great uni, with an upper-management who only care for profit. the new jms building looks great on brochures but has an offensive lack of study space. despite it all, i love this city and i love this uni. i hope management changes soon
The support network at the university couldn’t be better i seriously cannot fault it. However since everything is online I would expect the wifi connection to be better however it is often very situational
An amazing University. Has everything one student needs for successful learning
I was initially drawn to the beautiful campus and the fact that it was a great city to live in. I fell deeply in love with it after studying and working here for a year, and I hope to have the opportunity to come back here again in the future.
It’s nice. Staffs are nice and respond quickly
I can't find enough information about clubs and society. Sometimes I send an email to GIC but don't get replyin 48h
Stuck here and would have gone somewhere else if I could. The University is so unhelpful and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for international students. Take your money anywhere but here!
Old Building filled with classical atmosphere
I'm extremely pleased with Willowbank Accommodation. The staff there are incredibly warm and friendly. On my first day, they escorted me to my unit upon arrival. When I expressed dissatisfaction with the initial room, they promptly switched me to another one. Moreover, the prices here are quite reasonable, especially when compared to West End, West Village, and Vata — it's both affordable and great value. This place is a hidden gem of student housing, boasting a beautiful exterior. Plus, it's located in a residential area, ensuring a peaceful and quiet environment. I couldn't be happier.
Uni of Glasgow is a prestigious and very beautiful uni which I’ve quite enjoyed as an international student.
My university campus is the favorite thing I liked here and cultural societies are amazing here
"I had the privilege of attending a university that truly stands out as exceptional. The staff members were not only highly experienced and knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and approachable. Their dedication to fostering a positive learning environment made my experience truly wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better academic journey. This university's commitment to excellence and supportive staff make it truly one of the best."
The studying experience in UofG was good generally, but the Wi-Fi can be improved.
World class university with excellent social and academic aspects.
The University of Glasgow's academic reputation and student support are among the top in the UK, and this should need no further elaboration - if you need it and are brave enough to work hard for the opportunity, the university will provide you with the resources to do so.
I had a very positive experience in while studying my first year in my PhD program at the University of Glasgow. I would definitely recommend the University of Glasgow to anyone.
Great school, long history, good equipment, friendly staff, studying here makes me happy, there are many activities students here to combine learning and fun
The University of Glasgow offers an exceptional academic experience. With its rich history and esteemed faculty, the university provides a stimulating learning environment. The campus's blend of historic architecture and modern facilities creates a unique atmosphere. The diverse range of programs ensures that students have ample opportunities to pursue their interests. Additionally, the university's active student community and various extracurricular activities contribute to a well-rounded education. Overall, the University of Glasgow is a top-notch institution that combines tradition, innovation, and a vibrant academic culture
Wonderful experience. A good place to study
So good a university can’t ask for better!
As a master’s student, I’ve had an enriching academic journey. The faculty’s expertise and support have been instrumental in deepening my understanding of my field. The diverse student body fosters insightful discussions, and the campus resources provide ample opportunities for growth. While there have been some organizational challenges, overall, my time here has been rewarding, preparing me for a successful future in my chosen career path.
Good university with great students and teachers
An international school with responsible instructors.
fantastic university facilities
The staff I have encountered in my time here so far have been outstanding, particularly my tutors who genuinely care about us as both students and young people. Many of the arts buildings/facilities are in need of some TLC and refurbishment but new spaces like the JMS are very practical and ideal study spaces.
Good University with all the requirements for student to excel in studies with comfort and everything. Would recommend in a heartbeat as a good and a cheaper alternative option than University of Glasgow.
Have enjoyed my two years here so far
