The university has been extremely helpful and good with giving guidance to all first years. I have had a few computer problems while being there but other than that I have loved the past 3 weeks of being here.

I’ve only been at Sheffield Hallam for about a month now and I love it. It is a good distance from my student accommodation and is also a good distance from the centre of Sheffield. The teachers/lecturers are so nice and welcoming, they will help you in any way possible. Would recommend to others.

it’s cool, teachings good n not much 2 complain ab
Really good, lectures and seminars are set out nicely
Depending on your course because every course is different, but for the business and finance school, it has run down ever since covid struck and they haven't recovered ever since. The only good tutors to have for the business courses are the module leaders, any others are really bad and read off of the PowerPoint slides and adds nothing to the subject. This university won best teaching of the year but they have let it get to their heads and the standards have gone downhill. 2/5 at best
Great social spaces with lots of amazing help from other people. Wifi is strong for work and an amazing student union
The university has been great so far, im studying engineering and the facilities we have access to are amazing. There are loads of societies to join and ive met so many amazing people through these.
I enjoy Sheffield Hallam as it is a welcoming place to be, I feel right at home and comfortable.

The elements is a really good place to stay for anyone that is thinking about coming to Sheffield Hallam university. It has great places to interact with new people as well as a good gym and a laundry room. The location is excellent as-well as you are close to both campuses as well as the train station which is only a 15 minute walk.

It’s a great university and I’m absolutely loving it here.
Really enjoyed my time at the university. Although must admit have not got myself out there as much as I should which is regrettable as i know the opportunities on offer are fantastic. My lecturers have been very supportive and responsive. The facilities have been taken care of really well.
All my lecturers are so nice and I feel like I've settled in well already. I also love that everyone has an academic advisor so I know who to contact if I need help with anything.

Sheffield Hallam university is a great university, in the centre of Sheffield, with lots of things to do. Accommodation and student housing is near. The train station is fairly close. The university itself offers lots of support to anyone who needs it

Sheffield Hallam is a great university. It has all the support you need and all the facilities to help you along the way.
Collegiate campus is great, really good facilities
very good experiences here. lecturers are always interesting and helpful! the common areas are always clean and nothing is ever broken. very easy to navigate around and plenty of people to ask if you do get lost or need help with something. a free gym on site which is good if you have a couple of hours between lectures. the from desk is always open and the staff are happy to help and will help with anything.
Don’t go in much apart from going to my seminars.
Hallam University has been a great university for me , with plenty to do , good lectures and more

the school is is great. the lecture halls are very modern and gives enough space for a laptop/ ipad. also the labs are very hi tech too

It’s nice and quite close but a good walk on a nice day. Staff are lovely and at collegiate where I’m studying it’s scenic around with gardens and lots of trees.
A really supportive welcome into the university with great communication and continuing events to get involved with!

Their strongest point is their placement and graduate job opportunities. They have partnerships with some of the biggest companies in the world, and they're really good at helping you secure interviews.

Very helpful staff. Teachers are great and are willing to help you at anytime. Many student societies for people with different interests and the student union constantly reaches out to all students to try and help in any way possible...

Wide range of subjects available to study. 24/7 library with meeting rooms that can be booked for individual work or group works. Close to the city center for a break in-between lessons. Wide range of clubs and societies that can be joined.

Just awful. Been made to feel like I've committed some kind of mortal sin as I asked the SU to campaign on improving student accommodation. The only interaction I've had with SU staff in Collegiate campus was being told rudely that I was sitting in the SU area and "it's for students union staff to use, not students" . The other students are openly hostile to mature students joining in and communicating with them regarding course related stuff. Avoid.

The teaching staff for my degree programme are brilliant! The syllabus material and module content are really well designed with a more modern (less theoretical) approach to teaching. It even has its own applied teaching law firm; prospective students aspiring to become solicitors can get practical experience and insight into the law in practice with SHUs on-campus teaching law firm. 10/10.
The university is okay! If you want to save on living expenses Sheffield is the place for you.

Good teaching staffs and a good campus
Sheffield Hallam University has excellent reputation. In addition, University's splendid facilities are also a major attraction to me. In my experience, I know for certain that good facilities can make a difference in a student’s life and learning experience. Also the postgraduate education at this university is beyond textbook and lecture rooms, but also focus on personal and professional development of the student. Furthermore, Sheffield Hallam University has a different approach in engineering techniques for students and learning is organised around theories, practice which will help in the future.
The fact that I can relate to people from different ethnic and social groups is a good one for me. The school amenities are on point and the lecturers are always ready to assist you with anything
Its an excellent place to study. I learn allot from this university. Made plenty of friends . It is very close to my accommodation and university is in the heart of Sheffield where we can access the railway station bus stops national express gyms swimming pool area and much more i hope more people come to Sheffield Hallam university to explore the beauty they offer.
It’s a very good university for the international students to study.
Good collection of books and 24x7 accessible library. All kind of leisure activities available to students. Supportive staff's for everything expected. High speed internet connectivity. All campus in walking distance from transportation hubs.

Great university. Good location and great infrastructure.
Not much to complain about at all. Very happy with Sheffield Hallam. They prioritise sociability quite a lot with a wide range of societies, clubs and a very inviting campus in general which makes it easy for first years to settle in and make friends. The staff are friendly and helpful and the same goes for the teachers who are eager to support you inside and outside the classroom. Career opportunities are advertised everywhere which is incredibly helpful for students especially in the current climate. The library is excellent with seemingly endless reading material as well as PCs and printing facilities. On-campus internet is reliable, fast, and easy to connect to. My only complaint is the campus food & drink is quite expensive, but due to the university's great location in the city centre you're never too far from somewhere to get a cheap bite to eat. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Sheffield Hallam to anyone who's looking for a superb uni life experience.

It is a nice experience to study in this university but there is a chance of improvement
