SHU wasn’t my first choice for university but since staring in September, my university experience has completely changed my outlook on SHU. I have made friends for life, some which I am living with for the remainder of my time as a student. My campus is well looked after and is genuinely one of the nicest campus’ I have seen

Welcoming staff who are approachable and friendly and an run by an amazing conoany that hosts giveaways and activity’s for us all to enjoy at the elements

Everything is fine, strike happens too much. The curriculum is not reasonable for students entering January, when they have not finished their dissertation, they will not have sufficient knowledge to do the dissertation.

Amazing university, really supportive with my dyslexia, autism and mental health. All the staff want the best for you and support you to set and reach your goals. An amazing and supportive community.

My experience so far has been good. Modules are well explained by some lecturers and some have still been difficult to process based on the teaching approach by some other tutors

Okay University good location.
It has been an amazing experience studying here so far. There are lots of resources available to help students, lots of career progression opportunities. Well equipped library that is open all day round. Couldn’t have asked for better.
Great place to study very easy going for culture change and very friendly faculty also had a lots of societies and cultural events for socialising and making new friends

Super accomodating staff in every area of the uni. Always getting sent new emails from my course's department about after-uni opportunities and module information.

I had a great experience at hallam.
Hallam is a welcoming university with a good range of facilities for students. The staff are friendly and experienced in their field, and you can always ask them anything.
Sheffield hallam is a very modern university. it has made me feel very welcome and safe. the teaching is excellent and all staff, whether they're receptionist or lecturers, are very nice.

Campus has everything that’s needed. Regular emails regarding jobs and was able to get a job working for the accommodation through uni.

We also hold regular Hallam careers fair where you can meet part-time employers and find out about jobs they have on offer during your studies. Our students also have the privilege of booking appointments with our Careers and Employability team for support on CV writing, preparing for interviews and all things relating to getting a job. It’s a good school which allows you to study your course in a good environment. Engineering courses are quite good as they are well equipped to carry out these courses.

The university has plenty of access to pretty great facilities, the 24hr library being its best facility for me. Lectures / seminars are well spaced and your lecturers are good at informing you with any inquiries you have. Social life here is great to start with then proceeds to all become a bit boring, but still fun occasionally when with the right people.

I have absolutely loved my first year at Sheffield Hallam. I went into this with no idea what to expect and I can 100% say it has exceeded my expectations! The campus is beautiful, especially when it has snowed! There are a handful of staff which have definitely made the other whole process much much easier by offering invaluable advice and support. My course is great and I’m really enjoying it: being able to tailor my course to what I aspire to do in the future is ideal.
