100% honest review as a 28 year old student who has lived in a couple of other places during university. Nurtur House was somewhere I chose after quite a bit of research. I was looking for somewhere quieter where I could focus on finishing my final year of university. I appreciate for some people that it may seem expensive when compared to others but I genuinely believe you get what you pay for. Positives - very good location with excellent transport links via tram and bus services. - safe and secure environment with very friendly and approachable staff. - a fair price for what you get - very well equipped studios and high quality furnishings. - open spaces, roof terrace, gym etc are always spotlessly clean and well maintained. Negatives The only thing that has been a negative experience is washing laundry. I don’t think there are enough washing machines for the number of students. If you’re in doubt, book a viewing and come see for yourself!!

Choosing to stay at Nurtur House was the best decision. It's comfortable and clean, the rooms are spacious and you'll quickly find yourself feeling at home. There's a lovely rooftop terrace and a nice garden area to get some fresh air which are great places to hang out in. The team are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and always greet you with a smile. I like that it's not too far of a walk to the University, but there is a hill to climb so if you're not feeling up to it luckily the building is situated about 5 minutes from a tram stop to make travelling to uni & the city centre very easy.

I am having a great experience in Nurtur House and the staff are amazing. The room is nice with everything but the location is a bit tricky. It is not really close to city centre, it takes 20 minutes to walk there.

I have lived in Nurtur House for a year and it was the best decision ever. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, helping me get settled into my new life as an international student smoothly. The reception staff during weekends were also prompt and helpful in resolving any issues that came up. Any maintenance issues raised were promptly resolved and the team went above and beyond in providing good service every time. The common facilities, regular social events, friendly staff, and top-notch maintenance make it the best choice among all other student accommodations in that area.

It is a little further than other accomodations, yet the staff are very friendly, and the studio is very nice. There are a lot of activities that are put up and facilities, and it is very clean.

A very good value for money flat, the room is very big and clean, very suitable for one person, just a bit far from the School of Journalism and the School of Management

While we are a 20-minute walk from the School of Journalism, we are just a 10-minute walk from the main campus and The Diamond! Did you know Shalesmoor Tram Stop is just around the corner from Nurtur House, for those days when you need to get to your building a little quicker?
Nurtur House is well worth staying in, the room facilities here are new and the sports equipment such as the gym in the communal area is very good. The maintenance staff were always the first to come and check on my room after a problem and gave me a great stay, highly recommend Nurtur House to everyone!

If you’re in the market for student accommodation, Nurtur House is an excellent choice. Nurtur House is a top pick for student housing with its large, affordable rooms, a 10-minute direct trip to Diamond, and spacious bathrooms. You'll enjoy efficient induction cooktops, monthly events, helpful staff, study rooms, and cleaning facilities, including vacuum cleaners and large TVs. The property also boasts a garden, gym, and laundry room. However, be aware of restrictions on heating and kitchen appliances, occasional odors from drains, and benches by the bed that may reduce space. Despite these, Nurtur House offers a great living experience. If let me choose again, I would still pick Nurtur!

It's a great location that is quiet. This makes it's great for studying and planning work. Everyone is friendly (Both staff and students). Because every room is a studio there is no issues with communal areas. Maintenance requests are fixed quickly. Overall a great place.

I was recommended to this apartment by my friends in China. When I came here, I found that the reception desk was very friendly and showed me around and introduced the public areas of each floor. When I encountered any problems, I immediately helped to deal with the 24h reception desk.

I like the exterior of the building and how my room structures. So far I haven’t lost any of my deliveries, I’m satisfied. There are a range of social events in Nurtur House which is beneficial for socialising.

The room is really good quality. The staff is mostly friendly and all parcels are available to pick up as soon as they arrive. There are some shops nearby. However, I regret moving here. Firstly, it is very misleading to advertise the kitchen as fully equipped. It does not have a kettle, a toaster or a bin, which is usually expected in student accommodations, but it also does not have an oven. There is also no vacuum cleaner or a brush. Secondly, the heating is way too weak for the rooms. I can barely feel the heat standing right next to it. Thirdly, the area is dangerous at night. The accommodation is surrounded by abandoned buildings. Additionally, the accommodation is very strict when it comes to guests. All guests have to sign in every time and provide a lot of information at the reception, which is annoying when you’re having more friends over. There is also a limit for guests not to stay longer than three days, so hard to have friends from abroad, who usually stay longer.

We understand your frustration that there is not a kettle or toaster in the room - however, this is very common across student accommodation buildings due to PAT testing requirements. We do advertise our partner UnitKitOut to all our residents who provide everything you might need, including an exclusive discount code. There are a number of vacuum cleaners available in reception that can be signed out for use at any time. Our guest policy allows residents to have friends to stay over for 3-consecutive nights; this is our policy due to a number of restraints - most importantly our fire safety policy and the number of people in the building. If you would like to have a guest stay over at Nurtur House for longer than 3-consecutive nights on the odd occasion, please speak with the Nurtur Team onsite who can work with you to find a solution. We hope this extra information is comforting to you; please do speak with us in reception at any time. We will always do what we can to make your time at home with Nurtur the best it can be.
Nurtur house is generally very good, but the only drawback is that the location is far from the school and the business district. In addition, the stability of the network connection needs to be improved.

I really like this flat, the equipment is new and the surrounding area is quiet and soundproof, there are supermarkets and convenience stores and Chinese supermarkets around, it is a good choice for Chinese students.

The property itself is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are also very friendly and helpful; there is always at least one member of staff present at any given time which is a huge positive, not only if you have any questions or concerns but also for general safety. The rooms are spacious and clean, with everything working just as it should. There is also very little disturbance from noise from both inside and outside the building. There is an ample amount of storage space and a well-functioning kitchen which I think of as a particularly strong point of the accommodation. The facilities are also extremely well looked after and accessible at any time, whether it's the laundry room or the gym etc. Furthermore, the accommodation is a reasonable walking distance from the University of Sheffield and the Diamond library, taking approximately 10 minutes on foot. Whilst there are not many shops super close by, at the same time it isn't a trek just to get some food supplies.

It’s really enjoyable to live here. It’s just 5 mins walk from tram station so it’s vary convenient to go shopping. And it’s also close to the Tesco. The building is always clean. There’s a lot of spaces and rooms that I can spend time with my friends, like in the gym, the calm room and the home room. It’s really worth the money.

Nurtur House is a welcoming and friendly place to head home to every day. It’s easy to hang out with friends in the home room, and also comforting to return to my own private studio. The staff are friendly and always willing to help with problems. The location is slightly far from the university, compared to other student accommodation, but it is close to the tram stop, and Ponderosa park! For a student accommodation, I find the sound proofing of the rooms to be pretty good. I am almost always undisturbed in the evenings, which I am very grateful for as I am very sensitive to noise. I would, and have, recommended Nurtur House to a friend!

I used to live in Nurtur for almost 2 years. I like this flat because it is very safe. The staff here are very kind and friendly. You can ask them for help if you have some difficulty. The guards are very responsible. You need not worry about your things being stolen. There are activities to enrich your daily life. In addition, you can choose different types of studios according to your needs.

I was pleasantly surprised by the studio, although I read reviews that it was far away, it was actually less than 15 minutes to the library, the city centre and other places, and there are also tesco, Lianhua and other supermarkets nearby. The gym, yoga room and communal kitchen are all readily available.

I have loved my time at Nutur House. For having a studio the prices are very nice and affordable for students. My room is the perfect size for myself and I can have a friend or two over. The location is very nice but you must be prepared to walk up a lot of hills if you don’t take the tram but it is not a far walk to the city center or the University. The staff here are so nice and maintenance will help you with any concerns very quickly in my experience. The staff have many events through the week and are focused a lot on wellbeing which is very important to me so I appreciate everything they are doing for their occupants. There are many amenities to Nurtur that are helpful in making friends or just helping your own mind and body out like the air hockey table, yoga studio, gym, or the home room. This place is very nice and I am glad I booked with them.

Came to stay here when it first opened, thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, even during COVID, the staff were really accommodating and tried their best even under those circumstances. Fast forward 2 years later, I decided to stay here again as part of my final year, and my expectations were once again exceeded. Regular events, competitions and mindfulness activities, Nurtur House and its staff looks after its residents.

This is my last night in Nurtur House, so I'd like to leave a comment to share my experience in this impressive student accommadation. -Location: Nurtur House is located in a quiet place. There are hardly any cars passing on the road at night, so I could have a good sleep. It's close to Shalesmoor station and the tram can take you to train station in 20 minutes. There's also a Tesco Superstore within walking distance, where I usually did my weekly shopping. You could walk to The Diamond in 10 minutes though you need to clime a small hill - this did not bother me. -Facilities: Very new facilities. I did not experience any damage to the facilities, either in my own room or in the public areas. One shortcoming is there's only a microwave oven in the room, and sometimes it's not working as efficiently as the oven. The "dining table" is close to the wall, so I couldn't stop the sauce from splattering on the wall -Team: Friendly and helpful on-site team. The most important thing is Nurtur

A very beautiful living experience. A clean, quiet and safe living environment is the foundation here, and the conscientious and responsible staff will enthusiastically help you solve your problems. It is a suitable distance from schools and supermarkets, and it is a very good choice for student apartments!

Probably the best student accommodation in Sheffield. Cannot thank the management for the amazing help they have been throughout my stay, especially kate she is a god send! Kate has helped with any issue big or small and has even spent time just chatting to me which is highly appreciated. The staff at nurtur house definitely know how to take care of their residents! 😊

Staff are super friendly, maintenance gets sorted quickly and it’s close to uni and tram stops. Although I’m in a studio it feels like family at nurtur the events are great and I’ve met many people from different cultures, perfect for my masters!

The staff didn't send me an email before fixing my room. It is too bad because all my valuables are in my room. I am not sure that the maintenance staff will be able to keep my property safe while I am out of the room.

Fantastic location provided convenient for us. Such as the University of Sheffield International College, Tesco superstore, M&S, diamond. Good living experience as well. By the way, if you want to book an apartment for next year, it’s a great idea to choose Nurtur House. In addition, just rebook Nurtur and you’ll get an amazing cash back!

Love Nurtur House so much, definitely the best place I've lived in as a student! Plenty of space in my studio and all facilities are kept in good condition. Staff are always helpful and friendly, they were really quick to replace my microwave when it broke. Great location as well, just 5 minutes from big Tesco and 10 minutes from uni.

The apartment is very nice, close to Tesco supermarket and next to the tram stop. Common areas such as the gym are very clean and well equipped. The service staff are very patient, I have a lot of express delivery, and often forget to bring the key, they are very patient to help me.

Nurtur House is a great place to stay as a student! The rooms are great and they have excellent facilities including a gym! There's plenty of fun activities and prizes to be won. You can get a decently priced studio here for sure :)
