My uni is so good, great staff, and friendly
I like my university very much I would even go as far to say I love it
Great place with lots of support
Haven’t been very good with clubs this year
Good learning experience and supportive staff
Its a really great university which shows that they really care for their students and they try their best to help you reach your best
Great University filled with all the support and facilities you need!
Best University in Newcastle upon Tyne
I love living here it’s so nice
Very good uni. Made extra efforts during COVID to help students out with food and supplies etc
The virus has changed the experience for our year however I’m still enjoying the experience and can’t wait for the future
I haven’t been able to go much, but when I have it has been great and I have enjoy it fully
Love northumbria very nice uni
Good facilities and excellent student union
Really good experience at uni.
i love it so much it’s been the best choice of my life
Mint the best accommodation for student life
Internet very fast and the facilities are amazing such as the gym
Best uni going, though rough at the moment following recent events
Haven’t been able to go into uni, online teaching has been terrible, students union has done nothing for us
Had no problems so far, clean, safe and easy experience
haven’t had a chance to use any of the facilities due to covid but have heard good things from past students
Brilliant uni. Have dealt with COVID perfectly
I have just started and the uni have been really helpful in supporting us during online lectures
I feel part of the Northumbria family
Such a good location and the business school is a lovely campus
Campus has everything I need, got a good atmosphere. Never had a problem with internet and I love my sports club.
Modern law and business school facilities
Haven’t been in to the uni itself yet so it’s hard to review but online lectures have been very helpful and the lecturers all seem professional.
No bad words to say about Northumbria, I would have preferred to see more of it this year but will COVID that is not possible.
First year doing cyber security and the modules have been really fun and rewarding. I feel like I'm making a lot of important progress and I can't wait for second year
They offer excellent facilities especially for my design course.
Amazing university with plenty to do, very sociable
Campus is nice and new. There is quite a lot of social life so atmosphere is good. Lecturers are good and explain well. The only thing pointles imo are most seminars
dropped out due to no student support
Unis great and give loads of support
Great Uni but stay away from Portland green student village they made the whole first year of uni awful. Uni is great though
Great university to complete your studies and achieve your dreams.
Great place to meet different people from different cultures
Not much to say on the uni, theyre the same as any other. Help is there if you need it, and no doubt they’ve done the best they can with the current situation.
One of the best experiences of my academic life.
- staff are really helpful - facilities are great
Amazing and close to everything
Great University and facilities
I cant speak for all departments, for obvious reasons, but Northumbria University Physics and Electrical Engineering facilities, staff, support, resources and accessability are on point. If you come to university with the aim of achievement, Northumbria physics lecturers, inspire and illustrate the subject in a way that makes you love it.
Only here to review Trinity Square accommodation
It has been a fantastic experience studying at Northumbria!
I am loving my experience at Northumbria. Weekly quizzes at Habita are always fun, support is great from the students union. The library facilities are outstanding and the societies are a lot of fun
Northumbria is great, well worth going. Can take part or blend in and still have a good time.
Northumbria university is great
Love the campus! Very friendly atmosphere
Good place to study. Would recommend
everything is good, a lot better than i expected
The coach lane campus is quite old and think needs the same renovations as the city campus, travelling is slightly inconvenient but not an issue due to being able to get the free number 1 bus
Good uni but not enough communication between the students and staff
Great university and facilities but the wifi is poor
Brilliant campus, brilliant staff
Good support systems set in place and easy to navigate
The university has friendly academics and pushes you out of your comfort zone for personal development
Happy so far, glad i chose it.
I have really enjoyed my 1st year at Northumbria University. However i‘m at Coach Lane and feel very secluded and like i’m not part of northumbria uni
A good location with better environment to study and make friends
The coach lane campus is not very good. It is expensive and not good to access
i dont ever use the student union or use many of the northumbria sport facilitys but the debate soicety is good and Habbita has cheap enough drinks. Being in the Design building the facilitys and buildings are really good however the lipman building is very confusing
Great university with thousands of courses to choose from and lecturers go above and beyond as well as guidance counsellors
the campus being located in the city centre is great as everything you need is within walking distance, the students union has a nice atmosphere too
It’s fine. Not great, just fine. Not many opportunities for international students.
Great university, I love the architecture and the facts that a lot of computers are available for students.
I love the student life and the university
Ths campus I am attending is in London.
Rating all 1 star / the above categories are irrelevant from the quality of education/ programs at this University. I am doing a part time masters in the London campus (Computing and Technology). I am frustrated with the Uni so far, I can just hope that it will get a bit better in the future. When I applied I specified to the program manager that I was interested in programming and cryptography. There was a Cybersecurity module -but did not touch cryptography but rather information governance with standards and procedures. Current module is Leadership in Digital Age...the assignment asks students to take verbal and logical reasoning tests and do a personal development plan. The mark will be on how much one is prepared to be a leader or not. This is such a bad joke and a waste of money. Teacher is extremely arrogant and communication is always a problem. There are no exams, just assignments one submits at the end of the module. I am not enjoying it or learning so far.
Great facilities, the Business School is next level in terms of design and ambience. Love the city and friendliness of people, including professors. Definitely recommend this uni even though it sits on quite low world ranking which doesn't really depict its real value!
Its okay university has nice events
Good location, good facilities, lecturers are hit and miss.
Best university and city for students
I am having the best time of my life now that I am studying at Northumbria University Newcastle. I find my course very interesting and my tutors seem to be passionate about their job which makes my experience even better!
Really good facilities. I love my course
I absolutely love Northumbria. The only thing that needs an improvement are the mental health services. The counsellor I had a therapy with seemed unconcerned and useless
Overall I am happy with my university experience
a great university with lots of help from all lectures and a good support base including lessons which help you learn how to note take and revise as well as online access to all lectures and information about the course
The new Architecture studios are one of the best in the UK with fixed space for every student. The campus is realli close to the city centre which is great if you want to live close both to the University and Newcastle itself. The choice of societies is good, but there could be more to choose from
Could use faster WiFi, good resources however, would love more printers that didn't break, and more available PCs at busier times. Staff are helpful and friendly, societies great but could use bigger budgets for activities.
The university has a lot of facilities for incoming students, they have very good study programs
I am currently studying English Literature and Northumbria University. I have had the best experience studying there and there a many social events to go to.
Not a bad uni. I’m at coach lane campus so can’t say much for the main one in the city.
Lovely modern university with lots to offer whether it be its course offering, student help or sports and societies. It is an up and rising uni with lots to offer to its current and future students!
Uni is great, helpful and has good facilities available.
Good university with a lot to do socially for students
Great uni and close to city centre!
Facilities good and easy to find everything you need. Everything close by.
Northumbria university is a great place to study and start your career after graduate
Facilities good and all close by!
This University will provide you with plenty of careers services
The facilities at the university are good
The only decent part of the university is the Student's Union. This is a very disorganised university, unable to answer simple queries. A lot to improve upon Would NOT recommend this university at all. Not worth the trouble or £9K a year.
The only decent part of the university is the Student's Union. This is a very disorganised university, unable to answer simple queries. Placements are ill placed and horrendous, failed my placement due to the placement not being able to provide the pre-requisits for passing. Communication is awful, I was essentially told that I had passed an assignment since I have not received an email to state otherwise. To then be told later that day, actually I had failed. Would NOT recommend this university at all. Not worth the trouble or £9K a year.
great uni, a lot of courses on offer, amazing location and always stuff going on
Campus is class loads of things for students to do
The campus life was amazing and the university has modern classrooms and computer labs that made studies more interesting. It was a great experience overall.
Overall a very good university would recommend
