Very kind and accommodating staff

Hi, thanks for this review. Our staff will be pleased to hear this as they work hard to help our students and provide them with a positive learning experience.
Northumbria uni is great and in a great location

Hi, thanks for this review. We are very lucky to be situated in the centre of Newcastle, one of the best student cities in the UK. There's so much to see and do here, so students have both the benefits of campus life and city life at the same time.
Nice atmosphere, great facilities and approachable lecturers

Hi, thanks for this kind review. We are really glad you have had a positive experience studying with us. Our lecturers will be pleased to know you found them approachable as our team work hard to help students and provide them with an enjoyable learning experience. Our facilities are second to none, so it's great to hear you made use of them too.
Fabulous library services and ask4help service for any help needed.

Hi, thanks for your review. We are glad to hear you have enjoyed our library and found our ask4help service accessible. Ask4Help is available 24/7 and deals with student enquiries, no matter how big or small! Our library really is a great place to be as it's modern, spacious and has so many resources available to help with your studies https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/study-at-northumbria/university-library/.
I have placed this review under Northumbria University as it is the school that SGU has a partnership with for pre clinical years in the UK. SGU is an international school that offers students the opportunity to study in different areas of the world. Preclinical or clinical years could be done in the UK, Grenada, India, and the US. There are many electives that can be done around the world -Prague, India and certain countries in Africa to name a few. All in all SGUs goal is to expose students to different cultural experiences so that student can be prepared for the workplace. (Not because they have encountered every culture but, because they understand the beauty in other cultures.)

Hi, thanks for your review. We are glad you have a positive experience of the SGU and Northumbria partnership.
So far as of now online classes were conducted effectively whilst student help services were readily available a few clicks away 24/7. Looking forward to the total reopening of campus facilities.

Hi, thanks for this review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed online classes, we worked hard to ensure our students had a good learning experience despite the challenging circumstances. It's good to hear you were able to access our help services easily, we are always on hand to answer student queries no matter how big or small! We are also excited for our campus facilities to re-open, in fact a lot of them are now back up and running. We have a range of facilities to check out, from our modern gym to our beautiful architecture studios. See you on campus soon!
Great uni, feels like a proper community!!

Hi, thanks for this review. We are glad you felt part of our community, we always want to ensure our students have a sense of belonging.
I can’t really say much, I didn’t use much of the facilities due to covid and things, but it’s a well kept place.

Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear you weren't able to use our facilities because of covid, but we hope you will be able to return to use them in the future now things are opened up again!
the facilities that i have used, which has been limited, are very good

Hi, thanks for your review. We are glad you have enjoyed the use of our facilities, we have invested a lot into making them the best they can be for our students!
I’ve only been on campus for one semester between Sept-Dec 2019 because then everything closed when COVID-19 hit, the internet can be a bit slow, especially when everybody’s trying to get on it in the lesson/workshop. But it’s spacious and pretty and very modern compared to other campuses.

Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear your studies were interrupted and that you haven't been able to make the most of our beautiful campus. Going forwards, our blended learning approach means you will be able to come back onto campus when you need to, so do make the most of this and explore our modern facilities and range of learning spaces https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/about-us/campus-facilities/.
Enjoying my course! Difficult to communicate with tutors online but they are helpful

Hi, thanks for your review. We are glad to hear you are enjoying your course! We understand it can be difficult communicating with tutors online, but please be reassured that they are there to support you with any issue no matter how big or small.
Northumbria University great place to do your degrees its big and lovely.

Hi, thanks for your review. Northumbria is indeed a great place to study, so we are glad you had a positive experience studying with us.
really good uni, very sociable

Hi, thanks for your review. We certaintly are a sociable university, with our Students Union being a particular stand out. They offer over 100+ different societies for our students to get involved in- so we hope you managed to experience at least one of them! https://www.mynsu.co.uk/
It is a a good uni that provided the course I wanted

Hi, thanks for this kind review. We are glad you had a positive experience with us. All the best, Northumbria University
Poor quality of teaching especially over lockdown as everything has been moved online. They have very little respect for the student voice and the year reps. Communication is very poor, I'm in my second year and still haven't been given a proper tutor. Complaints and issues are very slow to be dealt with. Online learning was slow to develop structure and many are really behind in work and understand very little. I study Mech Eng and compared to my friends at Newcastle I really don't know anything about Engineering. I've never been able to use the workshops. A lot of the course so far has been self-taught due to poor lecturers. Lots of theory, hardly any practical. Very little funding and equipment is outdated. I really wouldn't recommend this university.

Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear you have had a negative experience studying with us. Online Learning certaintly is a challenge and different to learning in person, but we felt we tried hard as an institution to ensure our students still had a positive learning journey. We will certainly feedback this to our Mech Eng team and hopefully you have also filled in a student experience survey to express your opinion too. We are continously working to improve our courses, so hopefully the blended learning approach going forwards will allow future students greater access to workshops and more practical experience.
The university is extremely unorganized and my program is a joke. There are certain things that aren’t affected by COVID, but the university has been using it as an excuse. A lot of the Uni spending goes into advertising and marketing itself as being student friendly and being the top new university, but it’s all a lie. Seriously, go elsewhere.

Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience studying with us. The pandemic certaintly challenged us all in new ways and we feel that we did rise to the challenge as a university in order to provide our students with a positive learning experience. Please do let us know what program you studied so we can take your comments on board. Hopefully you will have also had a chance to take one of our student feedback surveys to provide more detail.
If you are someone with working experiences and intend to pursue for a business postgraduate study , please consider any other university than Northumbria University. If not, please get ready for the disappointing and annoying moments with their work processes, and irresponsibility!

Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear you have had a negative experience with us. If you would like to provide us more detail about the issues you faced, please do let us know so we can feedback to the appropriate team.
Had the perfect experience here, great facilities for studying and staff are very helpful
Very happy and satisfied with my uni. Unfortunately couldn't do or attend the campus so far this year....
Very kind, helpful and friendly staff that will help with any problem you have. Good facilities at the uni for study and working in uni
Perfect truly helpful university and staff are very friendly
I have been living here for few years since I was a undergraduate student. To be honestly, I do love The Foundry and Newcastle city, as I have spent plenty of precious time during these years. The foundry is a lovely family, usually they will offer us many opportunities to explore our world, such as "welcome party", "New Years celebration" etc, I have to say they are hugely helpful to release our stress, especially after tired studying life. Most important things is The Foundry always keeps our living environment as a high standard and first priority, regularly checking the fire alarm, weekly cleaning... Anyway, I must say it is really enjoyable and grateful for living here as part of our big family, appreciating all the stuffs's efforts (Zoey and Sean). highly recommended and have a nice experience, all the best~
Good university with a lot of courses to study from but it would improve students’ experience if there were more societies.
As an international student, Northumbria Uni was honestly very welcoming. The staff were always dedicated in assisting anyone who faced any type of difficulties. The facilities available at campus is amazing as well. Best choice I made.
Haven’t really had much of an experience due to COVID but staff have been nice enough
It’s a great university and worth studying for
Good Infrastructure and ambience
Great Uni and the law school is impeccable, the staff are so relatable and helpful!
Lovely staff and students. The location of the university is central so all amenities are at hand.
helpful , with lecturers always being quick to reply
Northumbria is a great university with an excellent library & sport facilities. It has a friendly atmosphere & is located in an excellent city.
My uni is so good, great staff, and friendly

Great place with lots of support
Haven’t been very good with clubs this year
Good learning experience and supportive staff
Its a really great university which shows that they really care for their students and they try their best to help you reach your best
Great University filled with all the support and facilities you need!

Very good uni. Made extra efforts during COVID to help students out with food and supplies etc
The virus has changed the experience for our year however I’m still enjoying the experience and can’t wait for the future
I haven’t been able to go much, but when I have it has been great and I have enjoy it fully
Love northumbria very nice uni
Good facilities and excellent student union
Really good experience at uni.
i love it so much it’s been the best choice of my life
Mint the best accommodation for student life
Internet very fast and the facilities are amazing such as the gym
Best uni going, though rough at the moment following recent events
Haven’t been able to go into uni, online teaching has been terrible, students union has done nothing for us
Had no problems so far, clean, safe and easy experience
haven’t had a chance to use any of the facilities due to covid but have heard good things from past students
Brilliant uni. Have dealt with COVID perfectly
I have just started and the uni have been really helpful in supporting us during online lectures
I feel part of the Northumbria family
Such a good location and the business school is a lovely campus
Campus has everything I need, got a good atmosphere. Never had a problem with internet and I love my sports club.
Modern law and business school facilities
Haven’t been in to the uni itself yet so it’s hard to review but online lectures have been very helpful and the lecturers all seem professional.
No bad words to say about Northumbria, I would have preferred to see more of it this year but will COVID that is not possible.
First year doing cyber security and the modules have been really fun and rewarding. I feel like I'm making a lot of important progress and I can't wait for second year
They offer excellent facilities especially for my design course.
Amazing university with plenty to do, very sociable
Campus is nice and new. There is quite a lot of social life so atmosphere is good. Lecturers are good and explain well. The only thing pointles imo are most seminars
dropped out due to no student support
Unis great and give loads of support
Great Uni but stay away from Portland green student village they made the whole first year of uni awful. Uni is great though
Great university to complete your studies and achieve your dreams.
Great place to meet different people from different cultures
Not much to say on the uni, theyre the same as any other. Help is there if you need it, and no doubt they’ve done the best they can with the current situation.
One of the best experiences of my academic life.
- staff are really helpful - facilities are great
Amazing and close to everything
Great University and facilities
I cant speak for all departments, for obvious reasons, but Northumbria University Physics and Electrical Engineering facilities, staff, support, resources and accessability are on point. If you come to university with the aim of achievement, Northumbria physics lecturers, inspire and illustrate the subject in a way that makes you love it.
Only here to review Trinity Square accommodation
It has been a fantastic experience studying at Northumbria!
I am loving my experience at Northumbria. Weekly quizzes at Habita are always fun, support is great from the students union. The library facilities are outstanding and the societies are a lot of fun
Northumbria is great, well worth going. Can take part or blend in and still have a good time.
Northumbria university is great
Love the campus! Very friendly atmosphere
Good place to study. Would recommend
everything is good, a lot better than i expected
The coach lane campus is quite old and think needs the same renovations as the city campus, travelling is slightly inconvenient but not an issue due to being able to get the free number 1 bus
Good uni but not enough communication between the students and staff
Great university and facilities but the wifi is poor
Brilliant campus, brilliant staff
Good support systems set in place and easy to navigate
The university has friendly academics and pushes you out of your comfort zone for personal development
Happy so far, glad i chose it.
I have really enjoyed my 1st year at Northumbria University. However i‘m at Coach Lane and feel very secluded and like i’m not part of northumbria uni
A good location with better environment to study and make friends
The coach lane campus is not very good. It is expensive and not good to access
i dont ever use the student union or use many of the northumbria sport facilitys but the debate soicety is good and Habbita has cheap enough drinks. Being in the Design building the facilitys and buildings are really good however the lipman building is very confusing
Great university with thousands of courses to choose from and lecturers go above and beyond as well as guidance counsellors
the campus being located in the city centre is great as everything you need is within walking distance, the students union has a nice atmosphere too
It’s fine. Not great, just fine. Not many opportunities for international students.
Great university, I love the architecture and the facts that a lot of computers are available for students.
I love the student life and the university
