Living at Leazes Parade is really good, it’s my third year! I feel very safe at night and it’s a brilliant little student community where there are lots going on e.g raffles, pumpkin carving and cinema nights etc. Highly would recommend living here- especially since the price is perfect and you get value for your money.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Really love the Social environment here! Such a safe place and good value for money. Staff here have been very kind to me and are quick to solve any issue. Highly recommended!🫡🫡🫡
Great staff and amenities, good value for money
The property team and other staff are incredibly kind and helpful, the management is wonderful, they have two sharing toilets with separate shower rooms and a lovely common room. Definitely recommend this accommodation, especially to exchange students!!
Great place, great value for money, nice modern flats available
Fabulous staff, excellent facilities (gym, cinema room, table tennis etc), excellent price for what you get, would recommend this to absolutely anyone!!! Would chose Leazes parade again and again and again!!
Overall a really good place to stay for new students
It's value for money and very close to the Urban Science Building.
Leazes Parade student accommodation offers a remarkably comfortable and well-equipped living environment for students. Situated in a convenient location close to USB school computing, its modern facilities and thoughtful design enhance the overall living experience. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, providing ample space for both study and relaxation. Each room includes a comfortable bed, a study desk with ample storage, and modern décor that creates a cozy yet functional atmosphere. The inclusion of high-speed internet ensures seamless connectivity, crucial for both academic pursuits and leisure activities. Common areas are meticulously maintained and provide excellent amenities. The communal kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, allowing for convenient meal preparation and social gatherings. The lounge areas are inviting, ideal for unwinding after a long day of classes or for collaborative study sessions with peers.
Property is located in close proximity to Tesco, Asda and other convenience stores. Good management, they fix everything on time. Good experience staying here for the past year.
Great value for money and management
A very good place to stay. Specially for the person who are interested in calm environment for their studies.
Close enough to uni and town, free gym, regular food/drink giveaways, staff are good craic. Don't regret 2 years here at all
Very good value accommodation, good facilities, free gym cinema room and a table football table including have been a blessing. Lacking in community but that's just a symptom of the people living here at the time. Chilled, quite place to live. Recommend forn any1 who isn't a first year
In my second year at Leazes Parade, and definitely would recommend! Great location, not too far, and not too close from the city centre (you get your steps in without developing a sore muscle :-)). The management is amazing, helpful, issues are quickly solved. For those extroverted, the social space are great, offering possibility to chat and sing among people. Internet is fast and reliable (I tutor for work, so that is detrimental!). On-site gym is a brilliant addition! Would definitely recommend!
Easy assess and good environment
Lovely place and people. Everything is sorted out without much delay and I love the people at the reception ( manager Julie is fantastic!). I wish I found this place in first year, friendly environment and conveniently close to the Newcastle University medical school.
The top student accommodation provider in the Tyne side area boasts a friendly and discreet staff who offer a range of recreational activities. As someone hailing from Kerala, India, I found it pleasantly surprising that cultural differences weren't a barrier, and everyone was treated with equal respect. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed their cinema room, as a self-proclaimed movie enthusiast, and the inviting common area provided a perfect space to mingle with flatmates and friends. Additionally, their weekly activities helped combat any feelings of homesickness. I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to both local and international students.
Wonderful little accomodation, lived here for a couple years now and will be coming back for my final year.
Really nice people! The location and also the accomodation is well looked after and cleaned.
Lovely staff with brilliant support day by day.
I’ve stayed here for two years now and will be next year too. This accommodation is close to the city centre and has a gym, free of use. There are rooms to study, chill and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this place any more!
It is an exceptional accommodation. I occupy one of the rooms in a 6-bed flat and prior to moving into the space, i was skeptical about sharing facilities with other 5 individuals but since i moved in, i have enjoyed every bit of it. I am male and my flatmates are all males(International students) so we live like brothers. We share a close bond and enjoy every moment together. The management of the facility are okay as they attend to maintenance issues although at a very laxed frequency. The accommodation exteriors are always neat, the gym is fairly equipped (for a student accommodation gym and i am a gym rat). The accommodation offers great value for your money, no regrets whatsoever in choosing leazes parade for my masters program!
It is in a great location and common areas are designed well, new and also stylish. Lovely management and very helpful.
The facilities and management is really great. However the rooms are not soundproofed and even the minute things can be heard, so a lot of privacy is being compromised
This is a truly an exceptional accommodation, especially for the price. There is very little you might want more from Leazes parade. The rooms and shared spaces are spacious and has all the furniture and amenities you will need. Wifi is good but can be better, you might find it disconnecting every now and then, however, speeds are still fast. In the main building you will find plenty of social spaces, games, books, TVs and frequent events to socialise with the people in the flats. you will also find a gym, complete with free-weights, benches, cardio machines and more (no barbells). There is paid parking and plenty of bike racks around the premises. The staff is absolutely wonderful, easy to talk to, helpful and very kind. if you have any problem they will absolutely help. Location is also brilliant, roughly a 15-minute walk to Newcastle University and city centre with public transport connections no longer than a minute away. You won’t find a better deal than this.
There isn’t a single flaw I could pick with Leazes Parade. Even before I moved into the property, the staff had exceptional communication and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The list of amazing things about this site has been endless: beautiful, warm and comfortable flat space that is furnished amazingly, a beautiful clean site that is well maintained, a handy and modern gym, plenty of spaces to study and hangout with friends, perfect facilities and convenient on site parking. I have loved the community atmosphere, especially from the events held on site where you get to meet other residents. One of the best things about Leazes Parade is the amazing team of staff that hold it together. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming- they have made living here an even better and happier experience and I would thank them all personally for everything they do.
Leazes Parade is a great place to live - very affordable and has all the amenities you need. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there are always lots of events and support if you need it. Being based at the medical school this is the perfect location as I can get to uni in 10 minutes! Also close to town and other amenities.
Excellent facilities with great property management. Definitely value for money with all the extra amenities like gym and common room. Also there are regular social activities arranged throughout the year which is really nice. It's about a 10 min walk to Newcastle med school and 20 mins to Newcastle main campus which is very convenient.
Most of these reviews are very positive, so I'll start off with a few of my issues: Some of the bedrooms are very small. I don't have many possessions myself, so I imagine for someone with a lot of stuff, their room could become very cramped. Secondly, in the P and Q blocks, the windows are so stiff that they require the strength of two people to open. The maintenance team say they can't do anything about them. Finally, when I first moved in, there was an odd smell in the room, like a chemical smell. My girlfriend noticed it anytime she was in my room, and claimed that it would give her headaches. I think it might have been coming from the radiator. However, there is no denying that Leazes Parade is one of the most affordable student accommodations one can find. Furthermore, the kitchen is very spacious, and there are flats with as few as 3 people to as many as 6, so it never feels crowded nor lonely. I would recommend Leazes Parade to anyone looking for a good value accommodation.
place is such good value and the staff are the best ever and work so hard to make everyone feel at home
Overall a great accommodation. The value for money is very good, the surroundings and nearby areas are also good.
Leazes parade has everything to offer, from amazing facilities such as on site gym, common areas and cinema room, to being close to amenities and the city centre, everything you could ask for as a student. With staying here for two years now, I can say that the welcoming staff really make Leazes Parade a home away from home, from organising weekly social events, answering emails quickly if we’re having any issues, to always being up for a friendly chat. There’s no question that Leazes Parade’s affordability is also a major attraction, with having everything from a good sized bedroom with a small double bed, to a well equipped living area, all for an amazing price! So if you’re wanting somewhere with a great social community, is close to the city, and has a great range of facilities, Leazes Parade is the place for you!
Leazes Parade offers an unparalleled living experience in Newcastle city center. The facilities, including a gym, lounge, games hall, cinema room, and study room, cater to all aspects of student life. The high-speed WiFi ensures seamless connectivity, while the clean environment enhances the overall living experience. The friendly and helpful staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Being centrally located adds to the convenience, making it an ideal choice for students seeking a well-rounded and comfortable accommodation. I wholeheartedly recommend Leazes Parade for its outstanding amenities, cleanliness, and supportive community
Leazes Parade is a fantastic place to live, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The best thing about Leazes Parade is the staff who work there - they are all so friendly and helpful. They are quick to respond to emails, they arrange loads of activities and they are just such nice people. The main thing that drew me to Leazes Parade was the price. It was so affordable compared to other options I was looking out, and on top of that it was closer to Newcastle University than the other options I was looking at. You get so much for your money - on top of your room and flat you get access to the gym and social spaces which have recently been refurbished. The rooms are a lovely size, and the shared areas are a good size too.
This is my second year of Leazes Parade, and it was a no brainer to choose for a second time. Great staff, social spaces, amenities, and so on… I quite like the location, it reminds me of a little village with the city still comfortably close by.
Very sociable management and very nice infrastructures
Overall my experience has been wonderful at this accommodation, this is my second year staying here and I’ve never had any issues. The site is slightly further from my university than I would have usually gone for however the facilities are so good compared to other accommodations and the value for money is so good that this doesn’t bother me. I am currently in my third year at university and over the years through friends I have been to many different accommodations around the city and the service management at Leazes parade is unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere else. All staff onsite are lovely! They are always helpful no matter the query. I would and have recommended Leazes parade to many friends! They’re brill!
Leazes parade is excellent value for money. The flats are clean and maintained to a high standard. The amenities are brilliant; there's 24hr access to a cinema room, common rooms, gym, all included in the rent price. The location is great as well, its not too far from the city centre yet it feels quiet, safe and tucked away. It's a short walk from Newcastle university, especially the medical school. Plus there are good bus links if you want to travel further away, as well as free parking for the residents. The staff are absolutely lovely and deal with maintenance issues promptly, are very helpful and kind. We also have an app we can use to book social spaces and get notified when a parcel arrives, which is super handy. I would very highly recommend leazes parade to any student!
i’ve only lived here for two weeks and i’m really enjoying it! the location for me is amazing, it’s next to a few gorgeous parks which makes you feel like you’re tucked away but then it’s close enough to the center to get anywhere quickly! the staff are lovely and everything is very well organised so we’re always up to date with new info, and the facilities included like the gym and common room are unreal, i’ll be re booking for next year as soon as i get the chance
WiFi did turn off and shut down more times then it should have, and could last for more than 24hrs. They had social area (common rooms) in different building then the one I was living in. 30 minute or so average walking time to Northumbria University. Staff are alright to talk to, some are better to do so then others but overall they are helpful when needed. Laundry machines did break often so some you couldn’t use for a while.
I stayed at Leazes Parade for two years. Firstly, the office staff are genuinely amazing and bring a positive spirit to the accommodation. The site is kept tidy and any maintenance issues are resolved same day, in my experience. Within the flat, 6 bed room in my circumstance, you couldn’t really ask for more. A spacious fridge and freezer, electrical hob and oven. Two sofas and a decent sized TV make for a perfect area for flat mates to socialise and have a laugh. Perfect for the price. Add some approved decorative pieces to make it feel like home and it’s perfect. Social facilities in the accommodation are great. Two homely common rooms, perfect for socialising with Table Tennis and Foosball. One large TV room with an unbelievably comfortable sofa perfect for a takeaway and any film or sporting event. The gym was a surprisingly great addition to the accommodation. It definitely surpassed my expectations. The interior is nice with a range of different equipment. 10/10
Leazes Parade is a good place to live, but students considering it should be aware that they've been offering rewards (chocolate hampers!) for students who give particularly glowing reviews, which frankly I feel is unfair on people who assume all the wild praise is genuine. In fairness, Leazes Parade is a very good place to start uni. The price is excellent, the rooms are decent as long as you're not expecting anything too fancy, and the staff are friendly enough. The real winner is the new gym, which is quiet and well-maintained, and makes the place outstanding value for money. Location is okay for Newcastle campus, but excellent if you'll be studying at the Urban Sciences Building. Biggest downside is the WiFi (not the management's fault as it's a third party, but still a consideration for prospective residents), which can have complete blackouts as often as weekly. Some shelter for the bike racks (most of which only allow you to clamp one wheel, which isn't the safest) would help.
Leazes Parade is an amazing student accommodation with a great price to it. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and are always there for any need you may have. There are two common rooms for you to study or chill in and even a 24/7 gym. There’s always freebies going around and events for you to take part in and meet other students and the facilities have never failed me. I wouldn’t pick any other accommodation!
Leases Parade is nothing short of amazing. The value for money here is incredibly good you definitely get the moneys worth with all the amazing rooms and social areas to use which is included in your contract. The location of leazes parade as-well is a very central location at the heart of Newcastle with it being a 10-15 minute walk into the town centre and around the same to both Newcastle and Northumbria universities. The management team and staff are so easily approachable and accessible in the office where they are always smiling and willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay here is the best it can be. Cleanliness is not an issue here with cleaners regularly cleaning the corridors and other parts of the facilities around the accommodation. There is plenty ways to socialise at Leazes Parade such as 2 common rooms which they are both newly furnished and equipped with ping pong and fussball table! There is also a gym on site too. Wifi is aswell included within the contract.
Firstly, Leazes parade isn’t only accommodation for students, it’s a community in which staff and residents build relationships daily. The staff here are wonderful if they see you anywhere on site they’re always open to chat to any degree and are extremely comforting. Everybody on site are welcoming as soon as I arrived here I knew this was the place to be I cannot imagine residing anywhere else for my studies and I will continue to stay here for the duration of my time at university. There is a wide variety of events put on frequently so all residents can get involved and the inclusivity is immaculate. On site facilities are another major bonus for me, as students we often get stressed and need somewhere to relax or hang out with others and the common room is a great place to do that as well as meet new people. Inside the common room there is plenty of space and its Perfect cleanliness is maintained by the wonderful cleaners on site. This is the place to be!!
Wi-Fi could be improved, and it would be great if LAN wire is provided in the rooms.
Leazes Parade is an overall amazing place to stay during Uni. I have stayed here 2/3 years of my course and I have rebooked my room for next year !! The management team are so friendly and give an overall “home feel” to the accommodation. They have provided us with amazing social spaces and events and even a gym, which is all included within the price. Leazes parade is a lovely walk away from the centre and has an overall amazing community within it. I 100% recommend this accommodation if your coming to newcastle for studies.
Couldn’t ask for a better accommodation! The location is lovely, being a nice easy walk to uni, as well as the walk into the city centre. It is always peaceful and tranquil around the accommodation, with it being away from all disturbances, but obviously close enough to still go enjoy yourself! The members of staff are also incredibly lovely, kind, easy to talk to, and always there if you need them, maintenance wise and even if you want to talk about more personal things. They set up activities for everyone and are good at communicating with everyone staying here. The rooms are cosy, the people around are kind, and the common room is great (especially for playing table tennis). As well as all this, a gym has also been added so if you love going to the gym, it’s right outside of your doorstep, ready to use! Overall this place could not be better to stay in if you want a place to stay for university, hence staying here for another extra year!
I’ve stayed here for 2 years of my uni experience and have already booked for my 3rd year here. I definitely think it is amazing value for money considering they have a gym, 2x social rooms, WIFI and electricity + gas is included in the price which helps out a lot. The location for me is really good as it is in the middle of the main places I go when I’m in newcastle (uni, placement and work) it’s also just a walk away from the centre which is really handy. The staff are lovely and help you out as much as they can. I can’t recommend this place enough really.
One of the affordable yet comfortable accommodations in Newcastle. Near to all amenities like city centre, bus stop, hospital, parks and a lot more. It is just beside an army barracks which ads on a security. The staff is really great and friendly. Every kind of information is updated through emails as well as notice boards in every flat. It has got an events and gym room which is not included in the rent in other accommodations. Sociable place. I myself liked it a lot. I do want to be here for the next year as well. So, if you want an accommodation with mostly all the facilities for affordable rates this is your pick in Newcastle!
Really amazing accommodation I would say because it’s very near to university. In such small rent I got free gym and they organise many events and freebies. None of my friends are getting this much facilities even after paying 110 GBP per week. But my accommodation is under 80 pounds a week and providing all of it, so glad and lucky
This place is amazing!!! Leazes parade provides everything a student could want, from lovely staff members who help brighten up your day to great amenities such as common room spaces and gym facilities on site. There is a homely feel within this establishment as everybody gets along and are also provided the opportunity to enhance relationships with other students and also staff at the events put in place which is an amazing way to break the ice with other people if you aren’t a very sociable person. The location of Leazes parade is perfect, it is close to both Northumbria and Newcastle university but not only that there is plenty of activities available in the area as it is in short walking distance of the town centre. Overall Leazes parade is the best accommodation I found when searching for a place to stay over my studies, I’m enjoying my stay so much I am staying my entire study period it’s also accompanied by a great price. Affordable, atmospheric, simply amazing!
Leazes parade is beautiful. It's the right distance to get into uni every morning while being just far enough out of the city centre to be a little quieter and tranquil. The flat is lovely and amenities are always clean. The staff on site are all really friendly and are happy to help with any questions or just have a chat. I also like the range of activities they organise for us. Couldn't have asked for a better accomodation.
Leazes is the best place to live in Newcastle nothing compares to it and definitely best value for money I’ve had. Staff always go out their way to help you out whenever they can I wish I could live here forever!
Staff , environment and place all are perfect. I was not expecting gym facility at such a cheaper price. Events and parties helped me to connect with my other frnds who are living in leazes parade.
It is a beautiful place to live in with a ton of open space and two parks right next to it. 10 minutes walk to city center. The prices are good and the accomodations are well worth it. But what makes this place so much better is the staff. They are super friendly and will go out of their way to help you and make sure you are feeling at home. Rachel, Abby, Dawn, and Steve are awesome to say the least. This is one of the best places I have ever lived at.
Leazes parade has been an incredible home! The staff here have a genuine passion for ensuring your needs are met or improved upon! I love stopping in for a chat and its always lovely to see how excited they are about new events, upgrades and features being brought onto site. They really go above and beyond to look after everyone. The grounds and common areas are beautiful and always well cleaned/maintained. In general the site is tranquil being the perfect distance away from the city without being far away from classes. The other students have always been neighbourly and chatty. The rooms are modern and spacious, i especially loved the larger windows in P block!
leazes parade is full off happy and chatty staff who couldn’t do anymore for you! they are amazing. The accommodation itself is in an amazing place just outside the city life, only a 10 min walk to town. would highly recommend to anyone, best place to live !
Great student accommodation all round !
You will not find a better place to live in Newcastle than Leazes Parade. The rooms feel modern with new furniture in them, plenty of kitchen space and large flat screen TV’s. The common room is a great space to relax and meet people from other blocks. The main strong point about Leazes Parade is the staff, not only are they friendly and helpful and they will also go above and beyond to ensure any issues you may experience are sorted quickly. You won’t find a better place to live, the walk to both Newcastle and Northumbria campuses are about 15 minutes and the on-site parking is another added bonus. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Great place to live, staff are friendly and location is central.
Good price, clean accommodation, excellent location. Management and reception staff are approachable and friendly. Nothing is a problem for maintenance and cleaning staff. Would recommend.
Brilliant value for money and only a 20 min walk from uni. The staff are great help and very friendly. The new common room is a great place to relax and socialise
It is a lovely place to live, with very helpful staff who provide you with everything you need. The rooms are very spacious and any issues are attended to very quickly. You can book a free parking space online. It is a good value for money.
Great value for money, the location is in a great place with only a 20 min walk to uni. The property is well looked after and any issues are very quickly resolved. The staff are amazing and very approachable, the buildings are always clean and social spaces are a great way to meet nee people as well as spacious areas. Very easy to meet and talk to new people, the internet/wifi is very fast and reliable, its great for gaming and uni work
I lived in house shares for the last 3 years and I can compare living in Leazes parade with house shares overall. I never had any internet problems here in Leazes yet and in every single house that I lived in, there were always some issues that occurred and it was really hard to get an ethernet connection whilst here they do have it in every room. It is a big plus when you're a student and it's so much more reliable if your internet is stable. Also communication - you can get your stuff fixed or any question answered quickly. In a house share, it highly depends on each individual agency and there is a mix of good and bad ones in Newcastle. The only problem is that leazes parade is pretty far away from any takeaway/local shop or anything, but other than that it's perfect, and their prices are really good compared to current price ranges and quality available. I do know about other flats, but in my case, I would say a better extraction system (in the kitchen) would be a huge add-on.
Leazes Parade is a good accommodation for a good price. They say it's 10 minutes from Newcastle University campus, I find it to be more like 20 minutes. Having Leazes Park so close is great too. There is laundry room on-site, however it is quite expensive - 3.20 for washing machine and 2.00 for dryer is quite a lot, although the machines are quite large. The WiFi connection is extremely fast - it's just great. The furniture is modern and looks new, everything was in a good condition when I moved in. The premises are clean in the common areas (they are all regularly cleaned, your flats are your responsibility to keep clean (so if you get roommates that don't clean a lot, it's just your luck). The common room looks very nice and cosy, haven't spent much time there. There are not many social events that would be organised by Leazes. Overall, Leazes is great when you come here with your friends, then you'll really enjoy your stay here.
I am happy to stay here. The room is nice and clean. The staff are very friendly and can solve problems immediately.
Home away from home. I have never expected Leazes would be so good and people were quite helpful. The best place to live.
I am lucky that I got this place to stay! Beautiful rooms and surroundings.. and ofcrse a very kind and helpful management team.
A good place to stay for a student at an affordable price. Great staff who is very helpful and friendly.
Its an excellent accomodation as it combines affordable prices with quality rooms. The location is fine as it is about 10 minutes away from the medical school and 20 minutes away from the city centre. The stuff are all lovely and always keen to help. Highly recommented :)
Leazes Parade is great student accommodation & I would highly recommend. I am a 2nd year and the price for this accommodation is so good! It is cheaper than first year university-owned halls, private accommodation and houses, but the quality of accommodation is still as good if not better. It’s so easy-all bills and wifi are included, any maintenance problems are always sorted very quickly, the wifi is very fast and reliable. The location is ideal being situated close to the uni and is even quicker on a bike. There are racks to lock bikes to (although they aren’t under a shelter). I really like my room with mine having a great view of the field and the cows! The only thing is there aren’t any hooks or shelves, so I have had to use storage boxes. Something that makes Leazes Parade so great is the lovely staff. They're so friendly & helpful and due to Leazes Parade being a small site they know the students. They have also organised virtual events and freebies for us throughout the year.
I'm currently a 3rd year medical student at Newcastle University, and I am incredibly satisfied with the accommodation. It's located very close to the Medical school and RVI, and I can reach both places within 20 minutes whilst walking at a leisurely speed. It's excellent value for money considering the location, quality of accommodation, and quality of service. The accommodation was newly refurbished with everything, excluding the showers, being brand new and they function very well. The rooms are warm and cosy. Both the Wifi and Ethernet is fast and stable, and I've never encountered any problems with them. My Wifi is about 88Mbps download, and 95Mbps upload, with a latency of 20ms. The staff are exceptionally good and friendly, all maintenance issues are resolved promptly, and I've never had any of my queries and maintenance issues ignored. All non-first years get our own block which is excellent and you get to know the staff very well and they do care about our experience.
I have a very pleasant stay at Leazes Parade. The rent is very student-friendly and the staff are nice and we get FREE STUFF every once in a while! The room and common kitchen areas are nice and spacious, just right for me. Would definitely recommend this place if you are not keen on spending too much on accommodation.
The staff here are friendly and the place is clean. Would recommend
The staffs here are very friendly and the environment is clean. The people here are very sociable and the wifi speed is GREAT!
A newly renovated area, peaceful and far from town. For the rent amount, it is pretty decent
The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Leazes Parade provides a wonderful atmosphere and instantly felt like home to me! The value for money is undeniable, with the space provided for the cost is just amazing, I'll be sad to leave my room! It is a noticeable distance from the university and the city centre, but it is completely manageable. Book with Homes for Students and enjoy your stay :)
Amazingly good value, would definitely recommend to any student who wants clean, smart and modern accommodation for half the price of any university owned or other private one. It is an extra 10mins walk into the centre but still close to other student accommodation
This is easily the best value student accommodation in Newcastle and I would highly recommend it to anyone and especially those on a budget. The location is really good; it’s about a 20 minute walk to Newcastle University and the city centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and quick to reply to any concerns you have. Cleaning has to be done by yourself though but that shouldn’t be a problem if you keep on top of keeping the place tidy. The social experience is pretty unique in the sense that the accommodation is relatively small and not everyone is in the same year so therefore there is more of a “family” feel where everyone kind of knows each other pretty well. The wifi is really, really good and is in fact better than my home wifi! It has speeds of around 100mbps. For a place that costs under £100 to rent, this is really good value for money.
This year has been a weird one! I panicked when Newcastle university said there was no uni accom left after the A level fiasco but I found leazes parade and this was in my budget . I can’t complain about anything , cleaning is 1 star as because of Covid this hasn’t happened . Same with the social aspects ! But the rooms are lovely and so is the location although I would prefer to be a bit closer in city. Staff are lovely and I wish I would have been able to stay there every month, not only outside national lockdowns.
Great accommodation, cheap, modern and good value for money. 10 min walk from campus.
Staying here for first year of uni. All my friends in other accommodations are very jealous of how little I’m paying! Great value for money and quite a good location, especially for the medical school/north end of campus. Oven is small and a bit dodgy. Fridges not actually as big as on pictures from show flat, but sufficient. Would be better to have 6 shelves in fridge/freezer for a 6 person flat. Cupboard space good though. Good living space and rooms are decently sized. Could do with more storage (shelves, hooks for coats), but enough space under beds to allow for overpacking! Could do with kettle, toaster and maybe an iron being included- would pay slightly more for this to be sorted without having to split the cost between flatmates. The same with a TV license. Most problems are sorted out quickly where possible. Like that we can control our own heating. Overall very happy for how much I’m paying. Also free parking right outside your door!
Really good accommodation. Leazes has been massively updated since I stayed in my first year. Great staff, that always have smiles on their faces, very clean and tidy, if you have a problem with maintenance, this is done straight away. Events every month, where you can win some great prizes. Really good price, for a really fantastic accommodation.
As soon as I entered the facility I immediately noticed how clean everything was, from reception to the kitchen area and my personal bedroom, everything was spotless. Every member of staff I encountered on my moving in day was absolutely delightful and the most polite and considerate people I have ever met. One person that stands out to me the most I think is called Dawn she has blonde hair and had it tied up, she was so helpful and just a genuinely nice person to speak to. Overall I would recommend anyone looking for student accommodation to apply for Leazes Parade.
Staff is really friendly and the whole place is well looked after. Super clean and tidy. Good value for money
Leazes Parade is an amazing place. Staff really look after you! Price is good! At the moment they are building us a common room which is great, can wait to see it finished. Would like to see more social space in the accommodation 😀
Love Love Love it - Staff are so kind and caring especially during my isolation period, property is so clean, maintenance is done immediately, huge gardens for socializing, lots of free goodies. Price is great for what you receive.
Great location for Uni! Garden/social area massive and very well kept. loads of parking, which is free. new common room etc coming in September. Staff on site are great and really approachable! it's like what it says on the tin! MINT!
Booked a flat again with my friends. Leazes Parade was good in my first year but looks like its going to be even better in my 3rd! Accommodation is getting a new look and I can't wait to see the new common room and all the other things that are being done. Free car parking which is saving me a fortune too!
Booked with my friends and was able to choose which flat I wanted to live in. Accommodation nice and clean even though they have been refurbishing it. Show flat is lovely and the other flats will be the same when i move back in. Staff, are so helpful, nothing is a problem. Can't wait to see the new common room and all the other things they are doing for September. Highly recommend this accommodation - accommodation & staff that care!
Easy booking process, small deposit, good prices, money back incentives, brilliant location, stunning grounds, brilliant staff :-)
Viewed Leazes Parade and fell in love with it straight away. The site is set back in lovely gardens with so much space and very well kept by the maintenance man on site. Parking for cars if you have one! Rooms are being painted and look fresh. Furniture is all new. You get 100mb of wifi. Price of rooms are excellent . One happy customer :-)
So much out door space, bedrooms, kitchen & lounges are a good size, new common room coming soon, staff can't do enough for you, they even let me choose my flat & room for a perfect view, so peaceful! lots of parking, which they are offering for free in September which cuts costs down even more as parking in the city is so expensive. Walking distance to my University - Newcastle. All costs included. Events take place throughout the year which are free! What more could you ask for?
Covid-19: Very clean site overall. Cleaner cleans the stairwells & common area. The accommodation provides cleaning items to keep your flat tidy & clean.
Peaceful, fab gardens for social space, great staff on site - nothing is a problem, brand new furniture, white goods etc for 2020 intake, I have been told that they are also going to build a common room, new laundry, paint the whole accommodation for intake in September. Hopefully this does go ahead as when the Uni had the building it was very dated and not looked after! If the building is going to look like the show flat - It will be the best in town! and all for US!
Covid-19: Spoken to me about it but really not concerning - as they seam to have everything in hand!
This accommodation is in such a peaceful setting and the current owners are refurbishing it to a very high standard. Staff there are amazing. Looking forward to sharing a flat with all my friends in September :-)
Covid-19: Chats with the staff on a regular basis - to keep us updated.
I haven't moved into the accommodation yet but the staff have kept me updated re coming to the property once all the refurbishment has been carried out. I have given the property 5/5 because it is going to be a great place to live in September :-)
Covid-19: Brilliant - keep me update every week.
