I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Loughborough university. my course is fantastic and perfectly challenging; it has shown me around my subject area so much already and I am only in the first year of product design. i completed a foundation year last year to get onto product design and technology BSc and it has prepared me well to deal with the workload at university and adapting to new ways of learning. The teaching staff are very interested in what they do so can talk to you for hours about a subject area you are interested in

There is a real community feel on campus at this university, facilities are usually good but eduroam does crash from time to time. Great student union for nights out though and relatively cheap cost of living.

In my first year, and enjoying my time so much so far- love the community feel here, all the students and staff are so kind, and staff in particular really care about wanting me to succeed and are always here to help. A big part of my journey so far has been tennis- the tennis centre facilities are so incredible and have loved playing for dev team. Gym facilities are also state of the art. There are also so many events going on every single day here it never gets boring. Come to luffs or ten years bad luck!!!

The wifi is sometimes unreliable and can cause problems for students trying to study. I really enjoy the SU but more could be done in terms of committee perks for societies that aren't AU or sport related.

Eduroam wifi sort it out. Otherwise, this is the best campus university I have visited only because it is so spacious and there is so much going on always. Like from watching people doing matches to events like puppy petting and fun fair stalls where the community and locals actually come join onto campus. Security is also really good, the lboro uni staffs also work within the community (outside campus) 24/7 so I feel safe even walking alone after nights out and from the train station. Good community outside campus too - a lot of students and meet locals.

i am a second year student at Lboro and have lived in halls in my first year and they create a fantastic environment from move in day and supporting you during your studies. there are a wide range of sports and societies to get involved with no matter your level or interests.
My time at Loughborough has been the most amazing experience! Throughout my 4 years here I have met some brilliant people, and received excellent support throughout my studies and placement. I cannot recommend this university enough. It truly has become home.

Its been a really good three years! Everyone is super friendly and all the campus services are very useful and supportive. Its a different experience to a city university but its so nice having everything so close together

Loughborough has an amazing campus and facilities. The academics in my department (Aero/Auto) were incredible and I loved my undergrad here!

Lboro has offered great teaching and support such as the Maths Learning Centre. The facilities are decent and their are plenty of opportunities.

Clubs and societies are really good, there’s a large range of societies and clubs to join. Wifi is always decent and there’s good service. There’s lots on offer at the LSU and so much to get involved in

Very easy to find my way around campus

Eduroam is bad, students union club can defo be improved, have better djs and don't play the same song everything!

Good uni, amazing sports and societies. Student experience has massively gone downhill since Covid.

I love the campus culture. There is always stuff going on. To get involved with! Even if ur big into sports there lots of other opportunities. Loughborough has lots of nice cafe and the standard high street shop. Notts and Leicester are very easy to get too but train of bus.

Thank you for your review :) With over 100 societies there is one for almost every interest but if you can't find one that caters to your hobby, there is always the option to start your own society. There are also plenty of ways to get involved in sport at all levels to make the most of the sports facilities here!

Loughborough university has been a great place to study, with so many clubs and societies to choose from there are a lot of things to explore. There are some key spots on campus that are nice and quiet to study in but also other areas that are bubbly and busy. The cafe and food spots on campus are also great and there are some affordable places included in here too.

Strong community with great accommodation choices for all needs

We're really proud of our community here at Loughborough so it's great you have experienced it :) We have a wide range of Halls of residence catering to lots of different needs and If you put Loughborough as your firm choice and register for accommodation before the end of July we will guarantee you a room in University accommodation for your first year of study.
Lots of ways for people to get involved in things they are interested in. Everything around is also very pretty and convenient at the same time

i have enjoyed my second year here more than my first year, but overall I would recommend to people who want to live somewhere quieter and enjoy their sports and student-focused events

The Loughborough University is UK largest single campus university with outstanding help and support for the students (national/international). Highly recommended.

Excellent university, brilliant facilities both for leisure such as football pitches and gyms that I regularly use but also for lectures and studying such as the library. Good social life for a town and great place to come to university!

Loughborough is a super academic uni, not the most social but still fun. The town is small and not much to do, but close to notts and other bigger cities where you can go out out.
Thanks for your review :) Glad to here you've enjoyed your time here. Loughborough is located in the heart of the country and has great travel links, with cities like Nottingham and Leicester within a 20 minute train ride and it only taking just over an hour to get to London by train.

The university is definitely a good fit for me, I’m quite happy but that might be because I am doing g a sports orientated course, so I’m pretty pleased with all the facilities and the standards here at uni

Finance offices not very helpful took over a month for me to be enrolled into university. Other services always there to help.

Campus is abundant in communal areas the quality of buildings is, on the whole, very high. WiFi can be a bit dodgy but it usually connects without issue.

I think Loughborough is one of the best places I could have chosen to come and study to. Everything is just as I wished for, from the academic experience, to my student life. In terms of the uni, it really deserves its ranking. The campus is fantastic - big and well equiped, with lots of facilities for students (this including the library as well), the academic staff are, let's say 70-80% of them, dedicated and passionated people that are doing research and are working in what they are teaching, and I can especially tell this about the geography staff, they really are ehat students need, professional but close to students. The student life is also, as I said, very good. Of course, it is not London, but I had everything I needed, from social events and parties, to societies and sports. I am not a big sportman, but I think I don't have to explain that this place is one the best i the world for those who are. I gave 4 stars for the WiFi, because, well, Eduroam can sometimes let you down.
