I had a very good experience whilst staying at William Morris hall, everyone was very welcoming and nice. The reception were particularly helpful and were always able to help or answer any questions I had. The hall is placed in a good location near the Student Union and the Creative Arts buildings and is roughly a 20 minute walk to town.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Overall a great value for money, halfway between town and other side of campus. If you have lectures on the other side can be hard to travel everyday is buses are full. Bus stop into town close by and regular events held for the accommodation residents.
My flatmates are brilliant and we’re making the most of our time
William Morris is a very social hall and there is a great committee who organise lots of events. The bedrooms are a good size.
Always busy/ events being held at the accomadation. For example, Bill Mo winter and summer ball, bill mo day and punch parties.
Despite being supper happy at the beginning with this accommodation, when me and my flatmates returned from Christmas we were welcomed by rats in our kitchen cupboards which were not dealt with for 3 weeks and no compensation for the experience, then a month later I found silverfish on my mattress and an ants nest underneath the only shower we had in our flat. Overall I haven’t heard of any other halls with as many unhygienic issues as billmo.
The rooms and kitchen area were very good value for money. however, be cautious when picking this accommodation as the mix of people in each flat seems to be weird such as 3rd years mixed with 1st years or some really small flats with 2-3 people which isn't great for socialising or making friends and isn't specified when signing up for accommodation.
I think Billmo is the best value for money, having lived in other halls, Billmo hails in comparison. Friendly staff, ease of accessing packages, great upkeep, near the learning commons, the union, the gym.....whats not to like??
My experience at William Morris as a first year has been great, there has been a ton of social events throughout the year to partake, such as the infamous punch parties and the winter and summer balls. The accommodation has been great, with the rooms having ample space and room for myself, aswell as the public areas such as the kitchen which act as the social hub for most flats. All around a great experience. #UPTHEMO
Bill Mo is a nice accomodation to spendere your days in uni!
Really couldn't ask much more from this year's accommodation, such good value for money and it's been a fantastic social experience living here!
Really lovely and convenient place to live - close to the centre of Loughborough campus, whilst being near town.
Very good experience here, location is great and kitchen area is fab
Really great location and modern rooms, especially the 5 person en suite rooms. Nice and close to all my classes and the student union. However there were some rats around in the bushes, and animals living in the roof of my room I could hear them scratching around all the time.
It will play, great time there, pick william morris for your accomodation
Very good accommodation for the price, no issues
Sociable space, wide range of different properties available to meet everyone’s needs, helpful reception team, great location close to the students union and reasonably priced
It wasn't my first choice but definitely worth it and the best. I was going to spend more money on accommodation but this one was perfect. Great value for money. Made loads of friends here which was helped by the multiple social events throughout the year. Perfect location for the whole of the uni, especially the union. It is the second closest accommodation to town, good for a night out. If you are doing an art course, it is very well located for that, and lots of art people stay here. I would say it is the best in lboro and definitely value for money.
Very good location, friendly staff :))
The maintenance team responds quickly to any problems and is there to help you out no matter the problem.
The halls are run by unite, so they provide everything, generally a better quality than other university ran halls
I've been in william morris for all 3 years and it's has been good, this year however they took no care when deciding whose in whose flat. 3rd year with 1st years? Not very nice people as well. Additionally we have told maintenance and reception all year long about a broken extractor fan and other problems and they havent fixed them at all. Could do with more laundry access and better WiFi but otherwise all good.
Good overall experience, the warden staff and receptions teams are lovely, rooms are good but could be cleaner, and more serious interventions required for pest control
William Morris is in the perfect location for everything; food shopping, town nights and studying on campus! The rooms are spacious with lots of storage and big beds, making them worth the money. The reception team is helpful and there to help if you need anything.
Great halls and location for lectures, union nights and convenient to get into town.
Very good hall if you want to get involved in social events, however some blocks close enough to the students union/public spaces to be kept up by loud noises like the SU speakers and people talking/shouting
Very inclusive hall, lots of fun. Really good value for money, you get a great fool for the price
Generally solid place to live. In the 5-7 bed kitchens, no sofa which is a let down. But otherwise, had a great first year here
I really recommend william morris new students, as its a very social hall near the student union. The staff is also very nice.
Well maintained, helpful and friendly staff
Great location (perfect for creative students as only 10 minute walk from Edward Barnsley), almost too close to student union…dangerously close…lovely cleaners
Enjoyable experience within william morris, photos of rooms and different shared spaces could be better to understand different areas
Very positive, its close to my lectures and studio space which is perfect, and I'm close to the Spar and the student union
William Morris has been like a family to me, I’ve loved my experiences here :)
I really like William Morris due to its location
Great place and awesome location close to town, would recommend and am living here next year too
Very good location for the area with a good social scene.
Good location and staff are lovely.
It’s been a great experience but it’s a shame that the kitchen is not social at all so we always go to a flat with sofas to pre or be social and have fun
Great value for money, plenty of room space with good social area
Loved my time at Bill Mo! Felt so welcomed and everyone was so helpful!!
Great halls and good maintanence
WiFi could be more reliable and there's a lot of neighbour noise but reception is good at sorting it out and are very friendly
Great experience all round would definitely stay again
Very good accom, nice and social, good washing machines
such friendly staff, and great accommodation
might take some time for maintenance to come through but it’s great honestly. the socials are really good
Best social life overall good experience
Really amazing place, friendly staff in hand and always willing to help out
The 6-7 beds didnt have a great social space but apart from that good
Overall good experience, I really like the staff and what they do for Bill Mo
Have enjoyed living it- very social and good for making friends Really great location- close to the Union and my building Keep having problems with my door however- taken a while to fix
UP THE MO will very much miss this place when I leave Lots of memories and friends for life
Great value for money, heating and facilities are great. Socially, pretty good, nice social boost sometimes, even when you feel slightly down, it pushes you out the bad mood. Bathrooms not in great condition though.
The cleaners are really nice, especially helena :)
A wonderful hall with amazing facilities. The perfect distance from campus and town, right next to the students union (great for nights out). The receptionists are so lovely and definitely here to help u as much as possible as long as the quick paced maintenance team! Up the Mo💙
Great accomodation with lovely staff. Really polite and friendly cleaner so special thank you to Helena!!
I love the location it’s perfect distance to the uni and to town. The rooms are good value for money and think you get everything you need to live.
Good overall and helpful staff
My uni experience has been really good so far, I think that William Morris is the best value for money accomodation out of all the accommodations I've seen at Loughborough so I'm very pleased with it.
I have been very happy with the accomodation and the value for money is perfect.
I am very pleased with my university accomodation and have made lots of new friends :)
cleaners are great communal areas are good and get cleaned frequently
I like the location the best and the double bed is really comfortable, could come with alot more perks though for the money, (demi)
Really good experience! Always feels safe and comfortable!
Great location based, cheaper than other accomodations, BEST IN LOUGHBOROUGH!
great location and great staff especially sarah and anna
Really great place laundry is a little expensive though
perfect location and friendly staff especially debbie and sarah! everyone’s always happy to help even when locked out :)
brillaint accomadayions love demi and sarah
Good place to live good reception
Demi at reception is great and very helpful!!
I like bill mo very friendly environment
Wouldn't pick anywhere else. As a student with additional needs/requirements, Bill Mo have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home
Demi was very nice and helps me with parcles
Best value for money, with great wifi and cleaners, the location is also convenient, and good reception too.
Great management, Great rooms location is great
Best accommodation. It is really sociol and everyone is super friendly. The staff are so kind and welcoming
Close to town, good value for money and great location with regards to being close to the union. Happy with my choice of accomodation.
Overall great place, perfect location good amount of Green space which makes it feel more homely.
Perfect location for lectures and campus, can be far to walk to shops but nothing too bad as buses are frequent and easy to use.
i really enjoy living in bill no, it’s close to the union and very social and i love the propel i’ve meg here
Always really nice and friendly. Debbie at reception always helpful
love living here great people and facilties
It’s great just first year and I’m with all 3rd years. All boy too and I’m a girl
I think my room is at the perfect location. It’s near the dance studio, union, lectures, gym! My only issue was some maintenance ones but I’m sure those can be fixed :) For social events, I think it would be nice to have some block events
Lovely however maintenance is slow. Jack was lovely.
Jack is extremely helpful. The staff are lovely.
Really friendly people Karela our cleaner is a legend. Jack on reception is very friendly and location is so helpful.
Great service from receptionists
Living in Bill Mo has been life changing for me. I've never felt so welcomed into such a friendly, supportive, community-felt environment. If you have additional needs/disabilities, Bill Mo is the hall you need to be looking at. Sarah and Julian in particular have been lifesavers since I've been here, I don't know what I'd do without them. They have gone out of their way to create a home from home for me and to make me feel as comfortable and settled as possible. Also don't be put off by Bill Mo being called the party hall, if you have the right block it's nice and quiet.
Great accommodation and very friendly staff, highly recommend! :)
The best accommodation in Loughborough
Sam been great maintenance guy for us helped improve somerton massively
Fairly good location, close enough to my lecture halls and town. Right next to the union so good for nights out. Good property management. nice rooms
Great accommodation! I was so nervous at the beginning of the year but I couldn’t be happier. Very homely, clean environment and staff are so helpful! Would definitely recommend x
Our cleaner karolina is incredible
Loved this accommodation! Staff was really nice and had a really enjoyed my time there
Highfields house where I live is poorly maintained and I felt very cold but the issue of radiators was fixed by a very good property management
Staff are so lovely and very approachable, accommodation is close to both the uni and town. I would definitely recommend to any new students!
I have really enjoyed my time in William Morris so far, I love the location, it's so convenient and so close to campus as a second year. The reception team are lovely and are always on hand to help :)
William Morris is a great location; close to town and the university. However, there are constant fire alarm tests that are very annoying as well as frequent water issues.
Good location but the weekly fire alarms do get tiring after a while
Very good location for getting on campus
William Morris is in a great location. All the members if staff located at reception have been extremely kind and helpful. The only thing that let's it down is the cleaning staff.
Somewhat dated, but mostly well kept up. Perfectly adequate, and probably only expensive to a foreigner.
Definitely the best location off campus, very close to Student Union for any essentials and super social hall which was really lovely especially during freshers! :)
Aimee our cleaner always goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is to a great standard. She even points out things that needs to be fixed and puts us in contact with the people to helps us
our cleaner amy is the best :)
My experience has been good. When you have an issue maintenance will come and sort it within a few days. Reception are really efficient with letting you know when a parcel has arrived and helping you out. In the prime location as right next to town and the student union.
For the Price it is worth it 100%
It's a very comfortable flat in a good location
I was pleasantly surprised by my accommodation in BillMo. I was really worried about having a shared bathroom but they’re regularly cleaned and you honestly never have to wait! Unite are always asking what they can do to improve and their staff are fabulous whenever i’ve spoken to them :)
Staff are always really nice and helpful when sorting issues. We’ve had several issues with our toilets. The staff have been great about coming to fix them but have not provided a permanent solution to the issue. The cleaners always do a great job and the location is very ideal, it’s a nice distance between campus and town
Nice bedrooms and facilities, with stuff to do in the reception. The common room is ok but could have more stuff
A very homely and conveniently located accommodation. I am excited to return to Bill Mo next year :)
Good experince, would be nice to have a table football table and some more social activities, particularly in the common room. I like the work commons.
its good but the pool and table tennis table are in the reception instead of the common room
Good location, fantastic value for money and large beds.
Good upkeep, staff very friendly and helpful
Good for first year, good social and probably best location but services sometimes a little slow
Good for the money, everyone really nice but there isn’t a very great commen space for my block at least
Pretty decent considering all of the trials and tribulations we've had to endure here.
Cleaning is done regularly, the staff who work at the location are friendly and deal with all problems with ease. It’s a fantastic accommodation and I highly recommend. The staff members who really shine are Emma and Sarah
Great location, close to campus and nearer town than the other halls. Pool table and table tennis table are fun. Team are wonderful particularly Sarah, Aimee and Emma.
I've lived in William Morris Halls for my 2nd, 3rd and 4th academic years and though there have been difficulties such as the COVID period, William Morris has been a really good place to stay at. It's proximity to campus is good as I can easily walk to the student union in under 3 mins and catch the campus shuttle to where I need to go on campus. Also, there is an amazing cleaning staff who always help to make our kitchen clean and safe. Lastly, whenever there are maintenance issues, William Morris does their best to communicate this to us quickly and efficiently whilst also letting us know what they are doing to sort the issue (arranging for contractors to come and fix things for example). They have also had many maintenance checks for routine things and fire drills whilst I have been living there to ensure things are safe for us and well-looked after (e.g. pipes and water), in the event that there were incidents such as burst pipes or no running water they provided good alternatives.
Love this space!! Definitely coming back next year. Both common and private spaces stay top quality.
i really love living in william morris and would recommend to anyone. i intend to come back and live here in my final year, after my placement
Good location for both the university, going out and food shopping.
I have enjoyed living here. Also find it very comfortable, everything is always well taken care of
Aimee our cleaner is an absolute gem, makes our Tuesdays so much better
Cleaner dosnt give specific cleaning times
I've had a fantastic time living in William Morris, become good friends with my flatmates and made some awesome memories here. The kitchen has been great for pre's, the location is great right between campus and town, and the wardens have always been quick to let me in when I lock myself out my room/flat!
I live in Somerton, my experience has been good. The house is spacious and so are the rooms. However, constant issues come with the age of the house such as toilet, ceiling and heating problems. Most these issues are fixed rather quickly but some still have to be addressed.
Great off campus location, with a big space and excellent reception.
Excellent quality for the price with an amazing location as well as a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend it.
Easily the best location in loughborough, in between town and campus so everything is accessible. However in single letter blocks, the kitchen is quite small and doesn’t a lot of seating area.
Really lovely place to stay, couldn't ask for a better place to start my university experience. Really lovely staff that always make me feel so welcome. Always feels like a very safe place to live
really lovely staff and a fun, homely place to live!
Very nice modern rooms at a good price and location is perfect
Banging place but showers and toilets are always broken and they never come to fix it when requested, no spaces to chill with flatmates
I like its location just outside campus, it is not so loud and exactly what i was looking for. The reception is very friendly and helpful
very nice vibe with lots of nice people. It is never too loud outside as well
Really nice community and nice staff. Would definitely recommend!!
Excellent facilities and staff members who are always on hand to help. Happy to help fix problems as fast as possible! Excellent rooms and social space in reception to socialise with friends. Would recommended to fellow/new students.
A good hall to live in, rooms are big, staff are friendly, really good facilities available if you want to engage and be part of the hall.
Large rooms. Table tennis and pool is good for socialising
Good location, kitchen are big
as a Graphic Design student the location and quality for money has been perfect for me - being off campus but close to the LSU and all of my classes makes it easy to get around
I quite like it and would recommend it to other people, the staff are always trying to help and stay on top of things which really does make it easier on students. The social spaces (mainly common room) aren’t really used often other than for punch parties and committee meetings, I think because we don’t host much in there, but maybe with some planning we could start doing like sports weekends or just have beans bags and make it a bit more lively maybe.
Some flats don’t have anywhere to sit and socialise. Common room is very desolate. Staff at reception are useful however, some maintenance issues can take a while to be fixed
The staff at William Morris are absolutely incredible and are always willing to help and very friendly. It has improved my time at William Morris, plus the location is excellent as it is close to both town and the university.
It's good but cleaning isn't done properly and there's a lot of water issues. Common room should be more equipped with comfy sofas, TV, Games room.
Hall with the same name with me, and had been my go to hall for 2 years so not much more i need to say
The cleaning is not really good, the common room floor is sticky, there is a broken sofa in the common room, the walls are SUPER thin
Would not recommend. Various issues that often took weeks to address. Faulty oven and window that didn't shut properly that we told maintenance about several times yet both were never fixed. Also various water problems.
i feel as if people living in the single blocks do not have a seating area for all of the flatmates to sit and eat and chill together. we've resulted to using an ironing board to play games on but is not suitable for eating on. this makes socialising in the kitchen harder in general for watching movies and playing games comfortably as well as doing shared dinners.
Frustrating at the mix of the flat being 1 of only 2 freshers overall it’s decent but for not much more maybe 100/200 more a year much nicer accommodations that have rooms cleaned and more modern oven etc. available. feel as if this is overpriced for the poor kitchen appliances that seem outdated compared to others but the reception is very good and this is much better in respects to other accommodation so that is a bonus
Better location than the other accommodations and really social
no issues, good social spaces, very helpful reception staff
Lovely accomodation. Wish the kitchen had a social area too. And enough seats.
Reception have not followed up on multiple issues. My door has been broken since the start of the year. Our shower had been clogged for 2 months when finally someone came to fix it, they left the shower in a mess and it has since clogged up again. I like the accommodation in terms of convenience, but a lot more could be done to help the students. Also have no clue why there is a single gender policy in some dorms, i am in an all boys flat which was not what i specified in my accommodation choices. Good accommodation for the price, but could do a lot more to help students
Love it, best accommodation. Super good location, and the staff are all really friendly and helpful, especially when you forget your key or lock yourself out :)
great location, good value for money, only issues have been maintenance problems aren't always solved quickly
William Morris provides an excellent location for students being the best located halls on campus , however is very basic in what it is. Kitchens and oven units are poor but there is suffient cupboard space. Old blocks have great sofa area to relax which is really refreshing , new block single letter kitchens are however awful in their lack of space. Rooms provide basic needs and beds are sufficient and comfortable. I would describe it as you get what you pay for but I love the location however
Nice rooms, comfortable living spaces, and a lovely reception and warden team.
Very sociable hall. Lots of things constantly going on
Bill mo is the best hall in Loughborough by far, without doubt the best committee
I was in halls in covid and they did literally everything they could to make our time the best it could be and it was. Cleaner was so lovely. Whenever anything went wrong they helped us immediately. We got a new oven in 24 hours when ours broke!
Very good for money. Good for space for a flat but no overall social space other than a small common room
William Morris provided a comfortable and up kept space for me to live in the first year of University. The general consensus is a very social hall, however there are a few instances where the social life could be more involving of those living there.
It honestly felt more like a kid in a boarding school than feeling like an adult studying for a degree. Restrictions or not, that's my review for the year; no sympathy
Excellent value for money and room was much bigger than expected
It was great living here. The people around me in my space were nice and the on site team were so supportive and there for us.
Wasnt here for most of the year do wouldn't give a good review, ask someone else
Great option to have for freshers. In normal circumstances, here would have been a great place for Freshers, a community vibe about the place makes it good. Slightly off-campus, so not so great for Holywell/west park, but relatively central so caters for many courses. WiFi can be hit and miss (although I think this depends on blocks). Very well run, parcel delivery is ideal and never had any problems. Kitchen and bedrooms are all kitted out, although fridge space can sometimes be an issue depending on how many you share with.
The location is the biggest benefit - it's across the road from Union and a 15-20 mins walk to town. I had a friend who lived here in first year and saw that their rooms were a good size and relatively nice. Is it worth the money though? I would say no. My friends and I were moved to a 3-bed block which although convenient, meant that we were put in a much older building so the bathroom was outdated and honestly quite disgusting. The only pros were that they could accommodate smaller groups of students and the kitchen was big. The common rooms and study spaces were good too but I personally did not use them. In comparison to the newer Bill Mo buildings, this was really not worth the £6k I paid. On top of that, they decided to fix up the blocks from April all the way to the middle of June. Bearing in mind I was in my final year, imagine writing your dissertation and studying for essays while people are drilling and hammering and wondering around the flat... Just live in Bakewell.
Great accommodation - better than I expected for the price. Very sociable on the whole, however, there is no pressure to join in with events if you'd prefer not to. Located a few minutes walk away from campus, less than 5 minutes to the students union, 10 minutes or less to most lecture halls (depending on school/course), 15 minute walk to the library. Managed very well with a reception desk to collect parcels/mail from and deal with any issues, cleaning was always excellent. Never had any issues with wifi.
Halls was very much standard, it was 5 minutes from university and 20 minutes from town.
Very socially active hall, had a great year there
We are very happy to hear you have has such a positive experience in your hall. - Emily
everyones loud as f*** and the walls are paper thin so take what you will from that
Thank your for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience in your accommodation. If you fill in the WhatUni survey your feedback will help to rectify issues moving forward. - Emily
good location, close to student union
Like the rest of the university - full of jocks.
I stayed in William Morris halls in my first and fourth year at lboro uni. In first year I stayed in non en-suite flats with 7 people. Although it was a little crowded in the kitchen area at times, I made friends for life and really got involved in events. Final year, I am staying in somerton house with 10 other people. The house is excellent in terms of room size, amount of bathrooms and lounge area (needs a bigger kitchen). William Morris dance studio and student space is amazing, I go weekly for a break from my work without wasting any time. It is a 1 minute walk to the union, 3 minutes to the swimming pool and 8 minutes to gym classes at Sir David Wallace or Powerbase gym. 10 minutes to the school of the arts. Highly recommend for anyone based on this half of campus. Although it is classed as off campus, it is the closest to the union by far.
Thank you for this amazing review! Tendo
It is really near the Union and whilst I don't drink or enjoy going out, I have never been pressured and there is a Welfare Rep on the Committee who offers sober events like film nights and Bake Offs that I enjoy.
We're glad that you found something for you! Tendo
William Morris was a fantastic hall of residence. Whilst it is described as 'off campus' it is the closest hall to the students union, making it the most accessible to town and campus. The newly renovated common room makes the hall more sociable than ever and a community atmosphere is really fostered here making it truly a home away from home.
I cant recommend this hall enough, its like a family.
Being in halls is an experience. I would highly recommend it to every person starting university. I made so many new friends and i have kept in contact with many of them. The common room was also available a lot of the time for us to relax and wind down which was god to. Overall, the hall had a real community vibe which was excellent
Fantastic rooms, great community, location is IDEAL.
Really good Rooms and kitchens are always cleaned- cleaners give biscuits if your kitchen is completely clean which is really nice!
Personally I think this is the best location out of all the halls in Loughborough. 1 Min away from the LSU, 15min walk from town, it off campus all your needs are in one space. Its a big ,Hall so plenty of friends to make. Everyone knows Bill Mo Pre's are the best
Bill Mo has the ideal location, being close to lecture theatres, sports facilities, the student union and town. The rooms are big and the flats contain everything you need. The hall is well managed, with helpful receptionists, and a well organised and efficient warden and sub warden system. It's by far the best hall!!
It's a nice, cosy accommodation with a very desirable location as lectures are 5-10 minutes away. Friendly accommodation staff, ready to help. University WiFi can be an issue sometimes.
Its in an amazing location, 2 mins from the union and has lots of social events. However if you end up in "pov block" you have a tiny kitchen and poor facilities.
The first term in William Morris Hall has been very enjoyable and easy going.
Really good halls, love the room and ensuite
Stunning rooms and buildings, feels like a hotel but a home at the same time, very clean, modern and has great common room space all opposite the su
Fantastic hall, returned for second year love it a lot x x x
Great time here at bill mo. Shame that we drew the short straw and got the run down block but still perfectly adequate
Good to be together who share similar interests in course
Very good experience, friendly and helpful staff, lovely grounds and clean
Great hall, I had loads of fun there Loads of friends, loads of great nights out there too
Committee is a bit too commercial, in terms of selling as much as possible to you for profit. Room Bond came very delayed and there was no invoice.
Loved it, a good choice for my first year.
Amazing!! The best hall if you want to be close to the union and town, especially good for nights out!
Best hall on campus, perfect location and great management. Great rooms and great people
Best hall life experience, all about meeting new people and enjoying university !
I know i'm bias but I genuinely believe BillMo is the best hall in Loughborough! Don't worry about the fact it's officially 'off campus' because it's actually the closest of all the halls to the swimming pool, most lecture rooms (except engineering), town and the students union. The union is literally a 30 second walk away as it's literally across the road - great for when you're stumbling back drunk! The atmosphere in the hall is unrivalled, it's so friendly and fun with such a fantastic community feel, I made great friends and met my boyfriend there! I was ensuite which is the newer blocks but if I could do it again I would be happy with the non ensuite or ensuite so don't fret if you don't get the ensuite you asked for! Billmo really is the best and your loyalty to the hall will stick with you for life! Not to mention we are sing off champions (google sing off Loughborough and you'll understand!) it really is the best hall in lough, apply for it and I promise you won't regret it!!
Great social aspect, freshers (etc.) however Unite are a joke, money grabbers and definitely would think twice about returning to a Unite-run hall. Got charged £83 for a mattress that was already damaged before my arrival. No point in reporting the appeal, it's not gonna work. Staff at the hall physically are great though if it wasn't for the students, social freshers it would not be a place I'd want to stay.
Fantastic Hall! Best location, community feel and far less aggressive/judgemental than some other halls on campus.
best hall for best student experience. Very social and gets everyone involved. Alcoholic and none alcoholic socials all the time. Made friends for life.
Great hall location ideal for town and campus life. 'Bill mo' becomes your family from the moment you move in... Friends for live can't help but be made. A great atmosphere to encourage hard work towards your degree while opportunities all around to get out and let your hair down. Couldn't ask for a better way to start university life!
Genuinely the best hall in Loughborough! Amazing community spirit, dominates most elements of hall life, best location 2 minutes walk from the student union. Everyone gets double beds, some rooms are ensuites. Most overprescribed hall for a reason! Known for an amazing social atmosphere that keeps people involved. Highly recommend!
Bill mo is the most competitive hall by far and with this comes a great sense of unity between all members. We also are the most sociable and get involved with everything Loughborough has to offer.
By far the best located hall, unrivalled atmosphere, top 2 hall in sports, charity and voluntary projects! And of course all the best people
One of the best experiences I've had, going back into bill mo next year as I don't want to leave
Best hall in Loughborough; location, socially, facilities.
The best halls at Loughborough by far! Location is on point and the social side of the halls is sweet! Really recommend it.
Incredible freshers, 2 min walk from the union, great crowd and awesome memories
Had the shared bathroom with 7 people which was much better than expected, not once in a year did I go to get a shower and someone was in it. Best social experience of all the halls, the non en-suite ones don't have the best social space e.g no sofas/tv but I wouldn't swap it for anything. Non en-suite blocks are more social and obviously cheaper. Definitely recommend!
One of the best halls at Loughborough university with great accommodation.
William Morris is definitely the best hall at Loughborough University, off and on campus!! You are guaranteed the best freshers and refreshers by choosing 'Bill Mo' as your hall to be!
The best location on campus, it is good value for money, although a few of the blocks aren't as nice as others
Great fun but limited space in the kitchen without proper dining tables.
I've had the best year of my life in Bill Mo. I've met some of the most incredible people and I wouldn't change a thing. Lived in a pov block in the mighty Whitehouse, and it was sick. Best location you could ask for! Such an amazing hall.
Sick first year. Bill mo day was quality way to see off this year.. Roll on second year
Fairly average experience - Some of the blocks are really run down (A-J) and a lot of things break/leak throughout the year. However, it is nice to have a 4ft bed, the rooms are a decent size and its great being so near to the union and town (although the library is quite a trek!) There was quite a disparity between committee and everyone else, i.e. they all hung out together and it created a bit of a divide in the hall, people didn't always feel included. I have met some really great friends who I am living with next year, but were it not for them it would have been a pretty poor experience.
The location is the best thing about Bill Mo, right next to the union and ten minutes from town you can't complain
If I didn't live in the 'slums' part of the hall, where we were also round the back - out of the way, I might have put higher results...
William Morris is an awesome hall, the social aspect is quality and the location in respective of town and the union matches the quality! Price is okay in terms of hall prices, however when 'semi-refurbished' pay the same as 'fully-refurbished' that just does not make sense, but only real flaw.
