Many thanks to Assistant Manager Mr. Stefas and Maintenance Technician Mr. Thompson!!, I spoke to Mr. Stefas at lunchtime today about a blocked drain and Paul came out this afternoon to help me unblock it and did a great job cleaning it and replacing my broken floor drain cover immediately.

University of Sheffield
Sheffield Hallam University
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
It's quite a good place but a little bit expensive.
the equipment in the gym is not maintained properly!
My stay at IQ Century Square has been really good. I love the arrangement of my room and the full length windows really open up the space. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. The kitchen is very spacious with a great view. I love the location of the accomodation as it is so close to the tram stop, tesco and my university buildings. I would presonally appreciate it if there was some guidance around cleaning and maintaining the kitchen but other than that I've enjoyed my time here.

A great experience as the location is within a walking distance from the University, surrounding parks, and the city centre.
Very expensive compared to wha I expected
Very very helpful staff! Got my room shifted within 2 days thanks a lot!
Everything is tidy and neat, the studio room is spacious. Staffs are really helpful, and they responded to the problems as soon as possible. The location is great as well, I can walk to the city centre within 15 mins so no worries for getting groceries and other stuffs.
The reception is very good! They helped me a lot!
Perfect accommodation, quite close to Diamond. clean environment, enough space, nice reception manager, all in all, the reception is available for 7*24, unbelievable! Though Wi-Fi is not so great, but it’s upgrading recently. I recommend this flat strongly.
This is an excellent apartment and reception staff are very kind and enthusiastic. Once a time I lost my room card, I thought I need to pay for a new card. However, the staff gave me a new card for free and said that keep the money to buy you some drinks and foods.
The staff are really helpful. The location is close to the library. It has social space and learning room. Warm in the winter.
I started out living in an en-suit room and didn't have a great time with flat mates. After email consultation with the apartment, Giorgos was very enthusiastic to deal with the formalities of changing the apartment for me. I really appreciate Giorgos and other staff. The staff at Century Square are very kind and helpful, and I really like it.
Excellent accomodation with nice and clean rooms. The only thing that can be improved is the email communication when there is a problem. If you go to the reception everyone is helpful but if you choose to communicate by email sometimes you cannot solve your problem.
Reception is pretty decent, the day staff are super friendly but the night security have been slightly inconsistent, sometimes slightly rude. No lost parcels or mail. Stayed in a silver ensuite. Plenty of storage space, also difference between that and the gold is literally more floorspace. The bed, closet and everything else are the same in ensuites and in studios. Would definitely recommend staying with people you know. Kitchen is big but the fridge and freezer slightly small. Wifi is ok but is sometimes shaky (like once every three months?). Basketball noises on side facing the small square. The majority of the building were Chinese students. You might sometimes get the door shut on your face or someone would come into the lift before you even get off. I'm prolly just being British lol Booking tips - reception & main entrance is on floor 2 so 0 & 1 not worth it, side facing tram stop & kelham island has best views (up and left on website booking screen). You're welc.
