It has been really good and the uni is very welcoming and supportive
Great for my department in engineering, underfunded for sports. Good enough facilities.
Very good university.Enjoy the experience.Hope the qs level can be improved.
Great! I will continue live here.
good,This is a good school with good teachers.
Great university with lots of opporunities to develop.
stayed at this student accommodation for one academic year, and overall, it was a positive experience. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the university and local amenities like grocery stores and public transport. The rooms are well-furnished and provide a good balance of privacy and social space.
Love it here. The city is lovely
A overall very good and unique university
Good city nice people happy place
Uni of Sheffield is a very fun environment to both study and socialise in, there is something to do for everyone and there is never a shy moment
Excellent. Staffs are friendly
I've been living at Bailey Street Student Accommodation, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The location is absolutely perfect—it's less than a 5-minute walk to the University of Sheffield, making it super convenient for attending classes. Plus, there are plenty of shops and amenities nearby, which is so helpful for grabbing groceries or enjoying a meal out. One of the standout features of Bailey Street is the cleanliness. The management team and cleaning staff really take pride in maintaining the building, and it shows. The kitchens are cleaned weekly, and the whole building always feels fresh and tidy. I really appreciate how well-managed everything is. Overall, I’ve had an amazing experience here, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and well-maintained student accommodation. The team here goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable living experience.
University overall is pretty good, however food can be a bit pricy. Sometimes inconvenient if you forget your u card and want to use the information commons but you live in Endcliffe etc. I’ve not explored everywhere and I’m not a part of many societies but there is a lot of range and they can be quite fun.
I love it here! Very welcoming and it feels comfortable
One of the best Universities in Uk and the best for me
A wonderful uni and uni experience
Couldn’t describe, it’s like a dream come true UNI!
its good! people have been really nice and the student union is rly open and friendly

It’s good for living and good location
公寓非常好很方便 安保也很好 前台有中国小姐姐!上课也非常的方便
Great and the professors are so nice
Love my degree path and department however if budget cuts and changes go as planned so many people could be affected including staff and students. Sheffield needs East Asian Studies!!
The living environment is very clean, the rooms are tidy and the staff is responsible. The upper floors have a good view and are comfortable to live in. The apartment facilities are new and there is no damage.
Everything is decent in terms of facilities but the SU is very unfriendly to international students.
goodPerfect connection for studying and entertainment throughout my time here.Perfect connection for studying and entertainment throughout my time here.
The people at uni of Sheffield is so diverse, I’ve met so many people from so many different backgrounds
I had an excellent experience at University of Sheffield. The institution provides a supportive and inspiring environment for students to grow academically and personally. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable, approachable, and dedicated to helping students succeed. The school offers a well-structured curriculum, modern facilities, and ample opportunities for research and practical learning. The diverse and inclusive community fosters collaboration and critical thinking, making it a great place to study. Overall, I highly recommend Sheffield to anyone looking for a high-quality education and a welcoming academic atmosphere.
Nice apartments are comfortable to live in, supermarkets are close and it's easy to go to classes
Enjoying my time studying here! Really great experience both academically and socially
The University of Sheffield provides a well-rounded student experience with a vibrant social scene and a strong student union.
do love my university it’s got a lot to offer and especially for creative students it gives a good platform for students
Very good university and staff
the wifi is pretty convenient, i can easily conncect from most places in the university.
Staying here is such a great experience! The place feels really safe, which makes it easy to settle in and just enjoy. The location is super convenient, everything I need is close by. But honestly, the best part has been the common room. It’s such a fun, social space where it’s easy to meet people and just hang out. One evening, I sat down for a quick chat, and before I knew it, hours had passed, and I’ve made friends from all over. The vibe here is just great !!
the university is a great place to be, with great facilities and many many buildings. the libraries are all spacious and so so helpful. it is on a series of hills, so be ready to get your steps in! but i would recommend to all. i do wish there were more extracurricular activities such as talks from different subjects, as all the societies function around drinking instead of enhancing education. i also wish the BNBR centre had a bigger role
It has been okay ! I think there could be better events!
studying here is great. the prices of stuff can be different in different places though.
Overall amazing student student and clubs.lots of varieties of clubs to choose from
Sheffield is a very nice area.
At first I did not want to travel out of my home country for university. The thought of leaving my family and friends behind made me so homesick. But when I got my acceptance offer to the University of Sheffield I decided to take this chance and give it a go. I absolutely do not regret choosing to leave my comfort zone by coming to Sheffield. The people here have been so lovely and welcoming. Everyone from the university staff to the other students have been nothing but friendly. I love how the university of Sheffield offers so much fresher activities for new students to get to know others and make a new community.
Amazing uni, russell group is the best
Cool university it is a exciting and worth the experience
It is a good university and the wellbeing support is great!
Satisfactory experience. The teaching is good, the facilities are good, the tutors are friendly It would be good if they helped more with the careers aspect of things eg postgrad job opportunities
The amount of facilities that can be found to a lot
A good university and truly worthy of the Russell group
It's fine. My department (Management) is good but the rest of the uni experience is a bit mid. Too many communists,
Totally is very good.Once my door has no battery, the staff Hassan helped me to deal with this immediately. I really appreciate!
I think that Yarncliffe is the most ideal accommodation, being a mix of central in the Endcliffe Village so it is easier to get to, but not too close to the noisier areas. Endcliffe is good as most other first year students also live here so you can have many local friends and the activities that residence live provide are good too.
This is one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in! It’s a shame I only discovered it during my final year as a student—thanks to their big sale this year. The location is ideal, just a short distance from the city centre. While it’s not right next to the university, the regular shuttle bus service makes commuting hassle-free. The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable. A standout feature for me was the 24/7 reception. Though I interacted less with the morning team as long day at uni, the security staff were always helpful, especially with parcel collection at any hour—perfect for a student like me! Facilities here are top-notch, and they host loads of free events (great for social, though I prefer staying in). The rooms are spacious, and soundproofing is decent—or maybe I just had quiet neighbours (never met them, since I was too cosy in my room!)
The university of Sheffield is a good university that has a wide range of facilities with helpful staff and services. The university has cut back in recent years and has been joining certain departments and changing the structure of things. Overall I would say that I have had a good time at the university and when the course I originally started on wasn't for me it was easy for me to change to something that was suitable for me. The non academic staff have been so incredibly supportive and the academic staff are so knowledgeable. The student union is a great place to socialise with other students and hosts a range of eateries a cafe and many other great facilities . Sheffield as a city has some beautiful parks and has incredible links to the leak district but does feel more like a big town rather than a city.
Best experience I have ever had in my student life . Campus is very beautiful, faculty are always welcoming, pleasant and supportive
good....................................
honestly this has been a really good uni so far, there’s loads to do
could be better. good facilities, wish the city was nicer though
Sheffield is nice however it is not a set campus University so there is a lot of walking between lecture halls and crossing roads.
Great university with amazing facilities and opportunities
I don't recommend this university.
excellent! The school is great everything is comfortable. The student body is diverse and there are multiple libraries on campus that provide study space. State-of-the-art equipment and fast internet speeds
Nice uni, shame that they’re cutting funding to humanities courses.
I really enjoy studying at this school. There are plenty of extracurricular activities, and I can always find a club that interests me. The student community is friendly, making it easy to connect with others. While some classrooms have older facilities, they are still fully functional. Besides, the newly built academic buildings are modern and beautiful. The school also provides great support for job hunting and any questions students may have, making it a great place to study and grow.
Great uni, friendly atmosphere
It’s a great university with lovely people around.
Good Uni, happy to be here with good facilities
All was good, good access to clubs and going out on west street, access via bus into city centre as well
Everything is brilliant, especially the receptionists
Only been here a semester, but it seems better than a lot of other unis (from what I've heard).
Nice environment and friendly staffs👍🏿
There is a wide range of clubs and societies, plenty of support resources and lectures on building a CV and working on employability.
great support systems. Good careers advice
It is solid, near city center and safe city.
I'm paying about £170 a week for an ensuite room, which is relatively expensive compared to living in other parts of Sheffield. The layout of the flat is good and it is very helpful to have a lift to take heavy items up the floors, One thing I will say is that the gym is way too sparse in terms of equipment. I cannot do much upper-body training there as there are no heavy weights to work with. The location of Ranmoor is quite inconvinient, as you will have walk a fair while to get to lectures, labs and seminars. I suggest to engineering students especially to seek accommodation closer to the Diamond, as some of the engineering facilities can take up to 45 minutes at walking pace. Another thing I should praise is the public transport link from Ranmoor to the city centre. They are frequent and at a reasonable price if you use your U-card.
university experiance so far as a first year has been good, i have most of my lectures and seminars in the wave which is a really nice space nice and open, the cafe having lots of food and drinks available.
I don’t want to leave, I’ve spent my BA and MA years here
Student union really deserves its place as best in the country!
good unni, wifi isnt always great
Pretty excellent all round. Great.
There's always lots to do and places to study/socialise
I have really enjoyed my time here so far! The facilities are brilliant and there is so much going on for students to enjoy.
A great uni that attracts a lovely bunch of people. Sheffield is a lovely city and super close to the Peaks!! Would recommend
Love the uni, so glad I go here, great accommodation, nice places for second year, good friends
slay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing campus with lots of smaller local businesses around, the students union is a great place to study or socialise and the libraries/study spaces are always available.
University of Sheffield and Sheffield in general is a great place to study. Not only is it about the cheapest city you can study in but there is something for everyone and I would recommend Endcliffe village for first year accommodation as it’s really lively and most people are there.
Overall pretty good, lots of societial events
Great University, nice staff, lots of facilities
Provides everything that i need, nothing to complain about and great staff.
eduroam is awful and intermittent, and also doesnt reach everywhere in the accommodation, some people i know have to use data more than the wifi when in their rooms.
Campus has really good facilities and SU is really active
I have enjoyed my time at university so far
Lovely uni Can’t complain about the union they do quite abit for you like the free food fridge and the free washes
Overall I am having a great time
The student union bangs so much
Wifi was really difficult to connect to and my ipad still isn't connected
Sheffield university is great, it keeps students very busy(depending on your degree), personally I think being busy learning a lot of interesting things, meeting new people is better than having not a lot of things to do. Clubs and society is a very wide. diversity (there is even a bee keeping society)
excellent in all categories, facilities vary massively depending on your course and the internet is Eduroam which is c*** but is across most universites
Good social life. Love Leadmill
