Want to be right in the centre of Ranmoor and Endcliffe student accommodation? Then Stanage Apartments is the perfect option for you, with so many local shops, bars and green spaces right on your doorstep. Many of the university buildings are also within walking distance.
After class, students can head over to The Edge Hub which is the perfect spot to get some work done and also make use of the WiFi. Get to know your neighbours and attend one of the Residence Life events, sports activities or hang out in The Ridge common room. For students benefit, there are parking permits available, WiFi, contents insurance, customer service, all-inclusive rent and an easily accessible laundrette.
Stanage Apartments features cosy ensuite rooms, which is perfect if you enjoy spending time with your friends. Each room has its own bed, storage and study space, with a shared fully equipped kitchen space.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Everything you need for a first year university accommodation. Not too far from campus and close to social areas for other students like the Edge building. The maintenance service are quick to respond to issues. The kitchen and dining area is large enough for 4/5 people. The rooms could be a bit larger and more spacious for the amount of money being paid for them. The toilets are also small and can have some problems such as the toilet roll holder falling out the wall etc.

The more lively/social flats vary from year to year as we never know the personalilties of the students until they join us every September so it's always a suprise for us too !. The flat is really nice and functional. Regarding the room, it has a lot of spaces to put your clothes and other items. The desk is very large so you have enough space tonstudy or else!

Great area and close enough to the Univeristy where you don't have to leave too early for lectures etc.
Hello and thank you for your review on Stanage apartments, we really are grateful. The main university campus is around 25 minutes walk away. It's a pretty easy walk along well lit, main roads and there is a cycle lane and we have secure bike storage across the university. Best wishes, Sharon
Nice accommodation, a bit isolated from other buildings, good distance to supermarkets and other shops, WiFi connection is good, however issues are not resolved very fast

I am glad to read your positive comments and although Stanage is on the edge of the accommodation site it's a 2 minute walk from Customer Services, The Edge bar, The Hub and the Village Store. I had a pleasant experience staying there last year as the maintenance team responded quickly and helped promptly and the cleaners were efficient. However in hindsight I would not pay that much again.
