I love the uni! It’s a great size as it’s not too small or too big! The staff are fantastic and very helpful!
University is good, facilities and media buildings are good
It's a good uni, does the job but nothing special. My course is absolutely fabulous (multimedia journalism) and TV production is good but I would not recommend coming here for any other course. I would highly recommend the journalism course if you want to be ready for industry. I've enjoyed my time at BU, the beach is great despite being packed in the summer, my course has been fabulous and I even got to go on study exchange. BU make placement compulsory, you are expected to sort this out yourself which can be challenging. There's always space in the library, there's an (expensive) pub on campus and it's nice to be by the beach. There's no fancy end of year ball/black tie dinner but a day festival ran by the SU in summer which is fun. Bournemouth is a town, which for me got boring pretty fast. The shops are so bad and there's barely any independent cafes. The uni is full of people from surrey, barely any diversity, the nightlife is pretty dull apart from the odd event.
I couldn’t have chosen a better university. The university is excellent. Lecturers are enthusiastic, stimulating and engaging. I think it’s important to note that none of the staff are striking, which really highlights how much they care about our learning. Only negative side to studying at Bournemouth is that the accommodations are more expensive than other universities (£6000+ cheapest).
It's an alright uni better then some of the really basic unis but definitely has some areas where it could improve for students
A nice fun and friendly environment
good uni lots to do such as clubs and societies
I enjoy it and there are good facilities
Bournemouth university is an amazing location which is easily accessible and easy to navigate
Good university space. Lecture halls could be a little more inviting
