Hello and thank you for your query. There are two double sockets next to the desk and there is also one double socket with USB chargers at the bedside/headboard.
Hello there, Flat 017 is located on the first floor. We do not have any flats on the ground floor.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Shocking, dont come here rather pay £60 less for cranbourne
“Hi thank you for your review, although we’re sorry to hear that you’ve not had the best possible experience whilst staying at our Lyme Regis House. We would appreciate the opportunity to understand what went wrong and make it right. Please reach out to us at contact@campuslivingvillages.co.uk so we can discuss your concerns further. Thank you.”
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Value for money is non existent, seems like I’m paying too much to stay there. When I arrived in September I found my room was not cleaned to any standard, it was dusty, the floor was dirty with a hairband and sweet wrapper under the bed. How is that acceptable to them? My shower curtain was mouldy upon my arrival. There is no ventilation in the room, the bathroom fan works but doesn’t seem to do its job, the bedroom window has to be fully open, not that it opens very far for safety standards but it feels more like a prison and the bathroom door has to be open for the shower steam to ventilate out. The kitchen windows leak constantly and maintenance are not very helpful and just give you some towels and say ‘we’ll deal with it’ but never do. The seats around the table are about to fall apart when you sit on them. The hob turns off and warns you with a quiet click you can hear if nothing else is happening. It’s just generally a sad dirty place to have to live.

Good staff, nice building, kitchen and wifi could be a bit better
Hi, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us.
If you value your money, don’t go to Lyme Regis house. Firstly there are several problems in all the kitchens and rooms that you are told will be fixed but never are. There is one hoover between the whole building which is never available. Constant leaks and flooding of rooms which you are not compensated for. 4 working washing machines between 10 floors or students. I have been interrogated and asked to prove I live here by members of staff at reception Walking into the place I live because they believe I look suspicious, making me feel extremely uncomfortable in my “home”. Maintenance can burst into your room at any time making the lock on the door useless. With all these problems they could be slightly forgiven if during the pandemic where we aren’t allowed to travel, they refunded us at least some of our money, but you’ve guessed it, Campus Living Village and the shoddy management at Lyme Regis house have refused to pay out. If you value your money, choose another accommodation
Lyme Regis run by CLV is the worst accommodation possible. The only company refusing to give student any kind of compensation due to pandemic and students legally not allowed to return. Leaking windows have been happening since September and every time they are reported the same response of "we are waiting on contractors" is given. Maintenance staff walk into flats unannounced and at ridiculous times Students have had stuff stolen whilst they had been away for Christmas and the accommodation have done nothing about it. Overall, they are a terrible accommodation and I would not recommend at all!
DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ACCOMMODATION! I am absolutely furious with the way students have been treated by this accommodation, they have no care for their students, the company behind it is absolutely awful, the only company refusing refunds to students who’m cannot go back DUE TO A PANDEMIC! There is also ‘maintenance’ who have actually stolen items from students, walking into their rooms at 3am etc. Please avoid at all costs, for your own sake. Absolute scammers.
Come to Lyme Regis House if you want silverfish, poor ventilation, windows that will leak rain even when closed, lifts that break ~weekly, and a management that doesn't care about you or their staff at all. Leaving uni? Sorry, pay full price! Unable to come to your accommodation due to LEGAL guidelines on account of a pandemic that's killed almost 100 THOUSAND people in the UK? You better have a real good excuse as to why they should ever give you the slightest amount of support, even though there are a variety of government schemes they could be taking advantage of to actually help their residents, and almost every other accommodation in the area has at least done *something*. Not Lyme though! Wifi is spotty and cuts out frequently when using on wireless but is pretty good wired. Receptionists / cleaning staff are usually nice and friendly. Great location - being close to Tescos and Asda is a real draw. Building layout makes it hard for paramedics to get to you, in case of emergency
Where do I start? Woken up at 3am from a fire alarm after the Christmas break to find out the boiler/one of the pipes had burst and the building was flooding from the top down. People's rooms were flooded and the building smelt damp for weeks, it was horrendous. The lifts barely ever worked, especially after that, I have videos of water coming down the walls on the staircase and the sound of gushing water behind the lift doors. This was AFTER the redecoration, which I believe the building also had a similar problem the year before which clearly wasn't solved. After that we didn't have water for a good few days, and hot water for longer than a week. We had to go to our friends' accommodation to brush our teeth and have a shower. Some of my parcels were completely lost. Royal Mail tracked them as delivered, only to have them never turn up and reception staff blame the post man. I could go on, but there's no space to here. It was bad.
Covid-19: Campus Living Villages has been AWFUL! Still charging everyone FULLY for an instalment of rent. We're paying rent, wifi and utility bills for a room we will not use ever again, since Bournemouth has moved the rest of the academic year online! I can appreciate there are some people that still need to live there, but this is a fraction of everyone and therefore a fraction of the running costs of the place. Ridiculous, unfair and greedy, to the point of being covered by many media outlets including BBC South and also discussed on 'This Morning' with Judge Rinder.
Please avoid Lyme Regis house. The lifts never work, staff can be rude and the way they have treated their tenants during covid is nothing short of a disgrace. Every other accomodation has offered to half the price of the rent for the final term but Lyme Regis house and CLV haven’t. Greedy and only care about paying for all the management they have
Would not recommend this accommodation AT ALL, CLV are money grabbers with no concern for their student, so many problems whilst living here. Avoid at all costs
Don’t live here! Most unsociable hall, and the company who owns is selfish, as well as only having money in their minds! Avoid at all cost! I loved there last year thinking it’s been refurbished when the kitchens are still old! Washers would always break and not get fixed for two weeks, WiFi always went down and not to mention if your on the first few floors the generator out back is so loud so you can’t leave your window open at night! My whole flat and I honestly felt it ruined our first years! We have the smallest kitchen and only a table for four people when we have five living there the whole time! They just added an extra chair! Staff is nice but it’s CLV is the main problem! The top of the building got flooded and the water ran down till the bottom floor! And the lifts basically never worked because they needed a massive expensive fix but the company would only do small fixes to mask the problem so they would keep braking! Our flat had black mould grow in bathrooms!!!
Dont live in this scum hole, book into literally anywhere that isnt owned by CLV. they are scummy pirates who have taken advantage of the corona virus to exploit students for rent payments that they shouldn't have to make. the accommodation is falling apart at the seems( litterally) the windows all leak water, bedroom and living space, there is almost no cleaning staff and the hot water always runs dirty.the elevators are basically death traps and the local supermarket, Asda, is a s***hole.
The staff are nice and the price for living is not too bad. It is also a benefit living on the main road and having a Tesco express beneath. But my main problem is the fact that nothing gets sorted quickly and properly. For example, the lifts were broken for ages and my room had a mould problem for ages and I have to constantly chase them about it and it is still not fixed. These are only two problems out of many! And worst of all, with university being cancelled due to corona virus, I am forced to pay the remaining rent even though I’m not even living there!!! Like come on! Other accommodations across the country have reimbursed the final instalment for their students but not Lyme Regis!!! If you are going to live in halls, I recommend purbeck house, as at least they are giving their tenants their money back!!!
Absolutely not worth the money. The elevators constantly breaks down, with people getting stuck in it. Had three weeks without elevators at all. Flooding which caused damage and the ceiling in the hall at the 10th floor fell down. Dryers and laundry machines broke down, and didn’t get fixed for a couple of weeks. Fire alarms going off several times a week, often due to damp from the showers setting them off. Found garbage in the kitchen when I moved in. The drains were clogged from the last person living there. Had pneumonia during the weeks without elevators, and lived at the 10th floor. Tried to explain that I couldn’t walk up the floors and asked if they could help me find another solution. Did not get any help. Windows are leaking. Not clean at all, found blood stains on the floor and on the doors to the elevators. Often stinks like vomit in the elevators, and really dirty in the halls. Location is good, and WiFi is good. The people working there are nice, but not the management
moved in it is not refurbished as they promised, rooms dirty, kitchen disgusting. water coming in from faulty windows, flooding in both bedrooms and living area every time it rains. reported 4 months ago and still not fixed.
Appalling management. No one listens or does anything. Have reported broken windows, water pouring in etc. Now it’s flooded with water pouring through ceilings, lists etc. Disgusting. No cleaning done between years let alone terms. Fridge filthy on arrival. Oven dirty on arrival. Smell was awful. Horrible place to send your kids despite the new paint on website.
Room quality is appalling, moved in to find stains in the carpet, damp on the ceiling and a constantly leaking toilet! Whilst location is very good, everything else is poor.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Although, we're sorry to hear that there was issues during your stay. We would like to discuss this further with you to ensure we improve our service, please email contact@campuslivingvillages.co.uk
The only good parts of these halls are the location and the wifi. I would NOT recommend these halls to anyone looking to study at BU. The rooms are so hot its unreal. The window needs to be open 24/7 and even that doesn't really help. With the window open, all you can hear is 2 building sites (which no one told me about) or drunk people screaming at 4am. The maintenance is inconsistent. Sometimes things get fixed quickly, other times they don't read what is actually wrong at it took 3 MONTHS (!) for our oven to actually be fixed. It's like a prison cell. The bed is super uncomfortable. If you have mental health issues do not choose this accommodation, you can see why over 40% of BU students admitted to having mental health issues in the first year of study.
This student accommodation is appalling, they advertise that there is a kitchen and ipads in the common room, but you are not aloud to use the kitchen and the ipads do not work, this is false advertising and a scam. When i first moved in, in the kitchen was the microwave, this microwave had paint peeling on the inside which caused rust to fall into our food; it took two months for us to get a new one, the oven has had no temperature markings on it since we've moved in after reporting it multiple times and there is a hole in the front of the fridge. The windows sometimes get jammed and stuck open and we have to wait weeks or months before it gets fixed as well as the one in the bedrooms which also leaks allowing my entire desk and the electronics on them to get soaking wet. The laundry room is terrible, no matter what you do, the washing machine's door does not open when its finished and it takes at least 2-3 times to dry the clothes in the drying machine; which costs £2.20. Disgraceful
When I started Lyme we had no wifi for a month, which sucked. I know they've sorted that all out now though. It also gets extremely hot on the top floors, so bring a fan with you, by the time you get to Bournemouth they'll probably be sold out everywhere. You don't need to buy wristbands for events in advance, no matter what anyone tells you, you can decide when you get there when you can actually see what other people are doing. No TV aerial sockets, so pack a mobile aerial if you plan to watch anything.
On arrival the kitchen was not clean, Fridge was disgusting had to clean as well as the freezer, Oven again had to be cleaned. Table was broken in the kitchen area. Looked like the only thing which was cleaned was he floor!!! Curtains were not even hanging right looks like part of the rod had come down as well an not enough clips, Everywhere looked like it could do with painting. No bowl or plug in the sink and appears not to have the basics you would expect in a self contained kitchen ie kettle, toaster. Bedrooms need a good lick of paint on the walls, bathroom again looked it had not been cleaned the ceiling had brown patches on brown. For the amount we paid deposit and a month rent in advance I expected a higher standard!!! However good location.
If you get a small kitchen it's pretty average but overall a good halls convinient location and good sized rooms
Should have cleaners for kitchens at least once a fortnight like other halls
Gain a lot of social experience
very expensive for what we get. washing machines are useless as are the dryers. but close to town and uni so not all bad
The bedrooms were a good size, and the kitchen space was also not too bad, however, the amount of times the fire alarm went off was ridiculous! Some of the staff that worked there were nice but some of the others weren't. The 2 ladies doing the end of year inspection on my floor had broken one of my dishes and didn't even apologise! The common room was big but there really wasn't much to do.
Uncomfortably hot ALL the Time.
Excellent experience living here and you couldn't be in a better position, it's the only halls with two bus stops just to itself and just outside the door so even better! Perfect positioning, social space is amazing and up to date but no many people went down there until the football was on, plenty of girls there for the boys and plenty of people friendly enough to just enjoy life while your there, it goes too quickly!
Rubbish internet. Good sized room and en-suite. No cleaner for the communal areas in each flat. No hoover for each flat. Rubbish washing machines and tumble dryers. Modern common room on ground floor.
