Been at NTU for 7 months now and have had the time of my life. The nightlife, combined with the university itself creates an unreal and utterly enjoyable experience. Whenever anyone asks how uni is going I am simply lost for words and just smile and sigh - that alone conveys my answer. If anyone were to ask about uni or which uni they should attend. NTU is my first choice (no bias Ofcourse) despite visiting a decent amount of others; including Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester etc.

Good first year experience. SU supplied plenty of freshers events and activities throughout the year as well
NTU’s business school is really good, as is the Newton Campus as a whole. The facilities are nice and the Student Union bar and club are a point of pride.
The university campus has high quality facilities for the amazing courses that are available. NTU is at the heart of the city centre which means easy access to clubs, pubs and shopping while still being able to access the high quality GOLD standard teaching available.

Being a city centre campus, you don’t always have an enclosed uni experience like you would have at UON but this is better IMO as everything is closer to you, plus the SU being a club is pretty sick

We would recommend you to speak about this to your subject coordinator so that they can arrange a call back for you.
Good uni just most people that attend are unbearable

The university is great, people really helpful, a lot of nice events for improving student life. Really easy to transform it in a home. Teaching is really academic and I recommend it 99%. The only thing that I am disappointed is that my course on Architecture is really challenging with a lot of work to do which on my opinion I am in love with it. But sometimes can be really bad if you are disorganized as I am and could affect your mental health. I got depressed because of the amount of work and I wasn't the only one so we made a complaint letter which hasn't done that much. I told them about my mental health and they provided me with well-being sessions that apparently next free spaces would be in more than a half of month which doesn't help at all.

At the same time, we are very sorry to hear about you being depressed due to the amount of work on the course and that the well-being sessions are not availble for quite some time. We would suggest you to address your concerns to your subject coordinator and let them know about your situation. We are sure that your subject coordinator will do their very best to make sure something is accommodated for you and to provide you all support that you need.
The only thing that isn't great is the gym on the city campus. Classrooms are nice, the professors are great, lots of club and society options and they're super active, lots to do.
It's brilliant to hear that you are enjoying many aspects of your time with us! With over 120 societies to choose from, it is a great way to meet like-minded people. As well as our City Sports Centre, we also have our Lee Westwood Sports Centre based on our Clifton Campus and many other great facilities to choose from, so you should always be able to find something that works for you. We hope you continue to have the best experience with us at NTU!

My experience has been fantastic, I’ve made loads of new friends, my facilities here are superb, I find it really easy to cook in my room. once again Ashley is a massive help with answering any questions I have, for example I lost my room key and it was sorted out by him straight away!

GREAT UNI GREAT LOCATION LOVELY CITY
Campus is good but the actual Lecturers don’t really care. Asked my lecturer for some support and he practically said maybe in the future.

Here, at NTU, we are always striving to provide our students with as much support as possible so we do take instances like this very seriously.
Clifton Campus is modern, clean and well equipped for the amount of students studying there - but I feel like the location is rather bad. Its half an hour from city, and though the buses run often enough, being so far away sucks. I would much prefer to be studying on the city campus.

The accommodation is in a perfect location to my business school, making commuting easy. Great night life with great clubs on my door step. The whetherspoons is cheap which is always good. Everything you need is very close by.

Business building facilities are brilliant. The library is also good. Student Union is cheap and sociable.
Overall the university has a lot to offer students, career service is the shining part for me, getting a graduate job is the biggest challenge and a university that devotes itself to making that a possibility is a winner in my book.

Ridiculous had staff entered my room multiple times without permission, you have to pay £96 if you leave your key in your room and are locked out, lost my whole deposit because my mattress was ‘soiled’ despite me using a mattress protector and I kept the whole whole studio clean. Was charged a cleaning fee despite me cleaning it when I left yet was still charged a cleaning fee. Not sure what more I could have done. Don’t recommend!!

Really nice facilities and the staff and teachers are all very helpful and friendly.
I have enjoyed my time at NTU so far. The society options are great and there are many places on the campus for you to work and have fun.
Great social life, however the warden management team is terrible, accused me of something I didn’t do and didn’t have any CCTV footage to prove it was me. Mistook me for another Asian guy that doesn’t look like me.

The campus and building is very nice, although some of the staff do not bother to reply to emails including myself and many of my peers. Facilities are great and the town is very nice too

Staff helpful and always willing to explain if you are having difficulties, Library accommodating and resourceful. Lecture theatres have tons of room at the front. Time table a bit difficult to maintain punctuality if sessions are all over the campus (Nice shortcut via Bible Walk). Online systems are occasionally glitchy especially the log-in to additional library resources and the attendance app. Overall very good Hope this helps, a book reading, tv watching, hermit criminologist

Never been. Lecturers take no interest in helping us further, especially under the circumstances and I don't believe anybody has done anything to keep us engaged during the pandemic where it is possible.

NTU is amazing. the library is brilliantly stocked and very good on interlibrary loans, lectures have been incredibly helpful through both BA + MA, theyre really accommodating if you have special circumstances. if youre looking at the midlands go here its class

Wonderful university. Staff are so welcoming and the course is brilliant. Even though covid has diminished the first university experience, it has been a brilliant year nonetheless.

As it has been covid 19 I have been unable to experience some aspects of uni but the ones I have experienced have been good so far
Spent half of my year feeling unwelcome here so I can't really say I've got any frame of reference, although I will say that numerous visits or passing by the main campus have resulted in receiving numerous unpleasant encounters with other students in groups who keep trying to antagonise me for no particular reason other than.... funny?

Debbie is our favourite manager that takes care of this place and supports students with any encountered issues. It’s my third year as I can’t imagine a better person place to live at.

NTU is a great university, and their staff have always got their students best interests at heart. I'm doing a TV Production course, and the facilities are exceptional. The opportunities that are available outside of uni, that have been given to us by our tutors (excluding during COVID) are always fantastic, and interesting, and I am looking forward to my second year on the course.

Due to Covid I haven’t been able to fully utilise the university facilities and as Internet in my accommodation and other are not the best (glide) it’s made university harder than it needs be
