great academic environment and social life
Amazing university and staff. Location is perfect and placements for nursing are incredible.
I am satisfied with all the facilities in the school
Found my perfect student home after a disastrous first year in awful uni halls, to say Market House is an incredible improvement from Unite Students is an understatement. Super modern, clean, efficient and amazing staff Ollie and Lisa to top it off!
I love the campus and the facilities
All Excellent. All facilities user friendly
Newcastle University provides such a perfect environment to study.
WiFi could be more reliable and canvas could have better setup ie an option for when all assignments are due
NCU is all that i dreamt of having a mix of indian cultural events along with icelebration of international festivals. The campus library is huge!!! The DMBB and ridley building is where i study and it is so warm and teachers are so welcoming and helpful.
great uni, it's my first year & I am enjoying it.
Really good uni, excellent lectures and a solid SU. Eduroam does disappoint sometimes, though.
Amazing internet, and a lovely accomodating campus with great facilities
A great university with a great set up for the future
Wifi coverage sometimes misses certain lecture theatres or classrooms
Lecture halls are good and facilities are great
Great university with spaced out campuses and lovely green
all good. campus is sound………….
I enjoyed my time at Newcastle University as it has a fantastic campus with many societies and an active student union
Overall good. The campus is very clean and welcoming. But there is definitely something wrong with the pricing system in Philip Robinson’s library. It is hard for the students to find a nearby supermarket or a convenient store near the library. The last day, I payed two point something pounds in the library vending machine for a bottle of water. It’s inconvenient for the students to go down the hill for a bottle of water but I’m sure transporting the bottles of water to Philip Robinson’s is not a problem. Doesn’t explain the expensive price.
I didn’t take part in societies so I don’t know how much they actually have, and I didn’t have much knowledge on the student union group hence it was my first year. I feel like they should do more to get more societies known and out there to the students. Overall good university.
A great university with a lovely vibrant campus in the heart of the city
Campus was great. Excellent facilities. Helpful staff and lecturers.
A university that embraces diversity. A great place for research in STEM. Has a great sports complex.
They have the best lecturers in the faculty of medical science, the facilities are great
Good university. Would be great to have more places to study during exam season
Good easy to access campus with great location and services
I’m soo grateful to finish my studies here
Best uni experience ever. Had an amazing time.
Everything is great,I often go to some libraries and the environment is great
Newcastle is great! Depending on what your studying 📚
Enjoying my experience with Newcastle university
Bit of a s******* tbh they need to do serious work on the su as it is falling apart and has a weird smell all the time
I’ve really enjoyed my time here. The lecturers and staff are really helpful and go above and beyond to help you out
Love love love it. Great social life
Really good University due to the fantastic rate of education.
Approachable staff, very welcoming environment, they listen to student feedback
Very good uni, great city too and I would highly recommend it to anyone
I have enjoyed my first year at Newcastle University and have met incredible people through society’s and my course who have helped me transition to come to a new city 200 miles away from home. However I have found the strike action to be severely disruptive to my education and i don’t think i have been given £9000 worth of eduction this year.
Fabulous uni, couldn’t recommend it enough. Lots of opportunities for students to get involved and meet new people, and the pastoral support is really good. Great courses and teaching, and buildings all close to each other so very easy to get around.
Horrendous university. Extremely poorly managed in regards to academia and student wellbeing
Beautiful campus right at the heart of the city. Modern buildings combined with old architecture. The Student Union offers many Give It a Go events throughout the year, the best ones being day trips to visit other places. Additionally, the Careers Service offer many opportunities to students, even if you are in your first year. The university is invested in the future of its students. One improvement could be the facilities offered particularly a larger range of places to eat as there are many cafes but fewer restaurants. This would be useful for students who have longer days at the university and live further out.
Not had to use the Careers Service yet but am assuming they'll be good as the rest of the university support is!
My experience with Newcastle University is always up there. The facilities are really good and close to impeccable, with outstanding lecturers and support staff
It’s value worth for the students from different
Great university for computer science students
Gave me new experiences, especially being an international student people were very hospitable and friendly

Best ever. Great people. Huge place
The experience has been really good. Libraries are my favourite
Heavily research centred programs, so if that's what you're looking for then a good fit.
A very good overall experience.
Very organized and has a good range of major. Student services, career services, and so on are helpful and professional
The campus is very beautiful, the teachers are very enthusiastic and the classes are fun. I love Newcastle, I've learnt a lot here and it's a memory I won't forget.
Could help more with careers and job opportunities
Timetable not clear, lots of changes to schedule, tutors are great.
I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Newcastle University. Teaching staff have been super helpful and courses are well designed with loads of interesting modules
Overall is great. However, the internet connection is slightly poor.
Good first year experience, I have learnt a lot through this year. And I also made many friends there.
A very good uni with a number of courses to choose from. Facilities are great with a huge campus
Good uni. Amazing staff. Nice curriculum
Good city university campus, close to many shops from the city centre, and transportation is convenient
good university in city centre
the campus is beautiful and the professionals are responsible
Good university with good support facilities available should they be required.
I have found my life at Newcastle University to be extremely comfortable and it’s in a beautiful city with a lot of things to do
I enjoyed being a student at Newcastle university!
Generally speaking, I think it’s quite good. But it will be better if the university could pay back the money for missing classes because of the strike
Come on, make the QS go to the 100
good good good good return the fee due to the strike
It's a nice place to study and socialise.
Pretty campus and nice buildings with good working spaces!
I actually applied here through clearing but i am so happy i chose Newcastle because it genuinely is the best city to study in. The Newcastle University campus is so pretty and i’ve had a great first year studying here!!
Its good but could be better, especially for the wifi connection
Not good, also not bad. If the AS ranking keep increase, that is the best review.
Great university with great surroundings
I have loved Newcastle, brilliant facilities support and campus
Best decision i could have made! there’s always something to get involved in. I highly recommend joining a society, helped me settle in much faster.
Good arrangement of timetable and study plan, supportive academics, nice community, good place to study and live.
Many clubs and societies. Good medical school curriculum.
Just wifi is not good. Other thing is great.
The university has top notch research facilities
Newcastle is amazing! The campus and city are beautiful and there is so many activities and opportunities to get involved in.
overall good amenities and location close to city
A solid uni with good SU offerings and an attractive old campus.
Studying in Newcastle University was the good decision as the professors were helpful, crowd, ambience everything was wonderful.
Great facilities, staff and people
It was good City, and the university position and facilities are great.
I love this area full of prosperity and friendship
When we are in Mertz Court or some corner of old library building, our smart phones and tablets are hard to connect the Wi-Fi so some time we cannot find some information immediately to meet our study requirements. And the examinations are too hard, we do not have enough learning materials(such as the solutions for the past exam papers)to prepare for our exams.
A lot going on on campus, pretty decent
I love my university. There are so many opportunities to take, so many new experiences.
always a friendly space, always clean.
I was delighted when I got into Newcastle University to study Architecture and I haven't been disappointed with how my course is organised and the facilities within the department. The sports facilities are great too. It is the perfect distance from home (West Yorkshire) for me and I have made lots of great friends. I really feel like it is my second home. The city is amazing with great shops, restaurants and bars, a beach close by, the quayside and great night life! I would highly recommend.
Amazing historical looking site with good choices for everyone
The Staff and facilities are amazing and there are many places on campus to study with friends. Town centre isn’t far too just a few minutes walk down the road to a ton of different cafés and shop to explore during lunch or after lectures too. As an Architecture student I really enjoy using all the facilities available to us including the workshop and computer room within the building. The societies available to students are vast and you can easily find a place for you and your niche :)
