I think Newcastle University is really great and everything here exceeds my expectations. Firstly, all my classmates and teachers are extremely friendly. I was quite worried about issues like discrimination and safety before, but actually there are none of these problems at all. Secondly, the transportation in Newcastle is truly convenient. It only takes ten minutes to walk from the university to the railway station. The subway is right downstairs and there's also an international airport. Lastly, and most importantly, the local people are very friendly. I have a roommate who is a local and he said that people in Newcastle are very proud of their friendly image. I think it's really nice.

Really good accommodation and campus facilities but some societies seem to be not as inclusive to less experienced students!! Other from that, amazing!
Would highly recommend Newcastle University, I am loving my course, the people are so friendly and the city is class.
Being as international student, such a change in environment and particularly in the teaching methods and other ways from academic perspective, before coming to Newcastle was of the thought that it would be difficult but once reaching out here, i was pretty happy to know that university had taken care of each and every box that student might go through like for the jobs and career ahead there is Career Service, Academics issues - Personal Tutor is there to guide you, Library resources and access to many of the paid resources is made available to us by university, any other student issues - student union is there and many like such things are around which i haven't explored yet completely. All these things makes an international student feel to be in safer hands and better palce.
Very welcoming staff, spacious and clean rooms and kitchen, very close to campus and town centre which is a great bonus
Great uni, very independent but you get a lot of support if needed. Easily accessible and an amazing student bar
I love my experience at Newcastle University. I study languages, and something which really stood out for me was the emphasis placed on language learning and the importance given to our subject that I haven't seen elsewhere. For example, we have a beautiful library devoted specifically to languages which is open to anyone interested in learning, and we have lots of on campus job opportunities which allow us to use and develop our skills in our field. The wifi is generally good across campus, even for streaming, but there are times when it doesn't work. I think the campus is clean, well-integrated into the city, and connected with local centres like the Great North Museum. We are also lucky to have some beautiful green spaces. I enjoyed initiatives last year like the £1 breakfast deal in campus cafés, and the university is currently updating a lot of its libraries to make facilities better. The careers service has been really good for CV advice and is open 3 years after graduation.

I had a positive experience overall. The campus is great, the clubs and events are engaging, and the Wi-Fi is reliable for studying and entertainment.
Amazing times have been spent here.
Great university, all the facilities are amazing!
The university is very modern and in general has good facilities. The societies are fantastic, really a strength of this campus, but the WiFi is pretty bad and is always disconnecting you.
So far studying at NewCastle has been great! Alot of activities each week. :)
WiFi is weak sometimes, especially in the lecture theatres. Overall there are a lot of activities within the student union to choose from.
Great experience and lovely staff
I think it is good for us to choose mcl for a further study, because the campus and facilities have been upgraded, the staffs and students are very good.
It's a good uni, I just haven't explored a lot of it yet because it's so big, and I don't know where to go for certain things, and there is very little help about that. Like... Where is student services? Does anything actually happen in the upper floors of the student union??
wifi is not so good, many place dont work well
Great loving it so far definitely feel settled have made great friends
Been loving the university experience so far! The WiFi is very unstable though, and often disconnects at times in need. It is also generally slow.
Autumn in Newcastle is a cozy delight. The city’s parks transform into a canvas of golden leaves, and there’s a crisp chill in the air that’s perfect for warm scarves and hot drinks. Walking along the River Tyne or through the leaf-strewn paths of Jesmond Dene feels wonderfully serene, with the gentle sound of leaves crunching underfoot. Newcastle’s charm really shines in autumn, making everyday life feel both peaceful and inspiring.
Could be more practical than theoretical
Newcastle uni is great, lectures are accessible, the students are lovely and the campus is great
Overall, a good university to attend. Problems that occur with Internet normally get fixed very quickly
I’ve had an amazing experience at this student accommodation! From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. Bill, Nick, Sally, and Eevie are all incredibly kind and go above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and settled in quickly. Their friendly attitudes and helpfulness really stand out. The informal parties and activities organized by the team are always a great time! They bring everyone together, and it's been such a fun way to meet new people and make friends. It’s clear they genuinely care about creating a positive, supportive environment for all the residents. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!
Good university!! Decent workload but very interesting course and facilities !
Good nice environment interesting subjects
Love all the facilities, clubs and all their services!
Northumbria University in Newcastle offers a vibrant campus with modern facilities and diverse programs. Supportive faculty, strong industry links, and a central city location make it ideal for student life and career growth.
It’s just perfect and I learnt a lot of things while being here
So many facilities, great lecturers and super friendly and welcoming environment!

Great uni, lovely place. Great football there
Newcastle university is average, nothing special.
i love studying here, the campus is beautiful and close to city centre so convenient
The campus and facilities are very good as there is lots to do if you want to get involved
Lots of clubs and socials you can go to
Busy but nice campus all around.
Good university, really nice crowd and great pocation
The staff and security are really friendly and I haven't had any problems with communicating with them so far. There are also a good amount of events in Claremont for the residents to get to know each other and have fun. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with big windows as well. It is also quite convenient to engineering or medical students as it is 5 minutes from the engineering building, 3 minutes from the medical school and 5 minutes from the sports centre. The floors might creak a bit and some windows might be hard to open because the rooms are a bit old but the furniture looks quite new and there isn't anything too bothersome.
Overall I good university but in some areas it can be abit lacking. For example, the WiFi does not reach every part of campus especially abit patchy within the Armstrong Building. Additionally, there could be more areas for students to study in with more working computers and printers. The library services are good and very helpful. The only big issue with the university is the admin side of things. It can take awhile to get an answer about an issue if you get an answer at all. There seems to be too many divisions to go through to just get an answer on something. The lecturers themselves are wonderful and very helpful, I found these people to be the highlight of the university. Additionally, I've found the university offers excellent volunteering opportunities as well.
I have settled in relatively easily.
Excellent, it's a really nice campus with a good location and amazing facilities
I love Newcastle University. I have only visited a few universities so far but this one has been the best in terms of facilities and culture. I’m glad I went here
Staff on campus are always happy to help, offering advice or directions. The general attitude on campus is very warm, inviting and positive so it is very easy to feel at home as a fresher. On my first day, I was offered help to find the building where my induction was located twice. The university provides for rigorous academic improvement alongside a relaxed, involved student life.
Gorgeous campus, some building a bit dated.
Newcastle University provides best facilities and as many resources as required by the students for the better completion of their course. And they organize many events and keep the environment active throughout all the time. You got many opportunities to explore in respect to your particular course and socially too..
Honestly haven’t encountered any major issues yet, but it’s barely been 3 weeks. Societies have all been great though!
The only negatives are the wifi
As an international student at Newcastle University, my experience has been outstanding. The academic programs are well-structured, and the professors are both approachable and knowledgeable. The university offers excellent support for international students, from visa assistance to orientation events, making the transition smooth. The campus is centrally located and equipped with modern facilities. Newcastle itself is a vibrant, student-friendly city with an affordable cost of living and a welcoming atmosphere. With numerous clubs, societies, and networking opportunities, the university fosters both personal and professional growth. I highly recommend Newcastle University to any international student!
My experience at Newcastle University has been great! I have received lots of support from the neurodivergent team and careers team who have offered great advice and support. The facilities and libraries are great for studying.
studying at Newcastle University has been a fantastic experience. The lecturers are approachable, and the campus is welcoming. The city itself has a great atmosphere for students, making it enjoyable to live and study here.
most of my experience at the university has been excellent, but the lack of wifi in university buildings and libraries often make me have to go elsewhere to work.
Great school beautiful campus.
wonderful exchange student experience!
The Shield is the most comfortable place I stayed in throughout my whole life. I’ll never forget it, I’ll miss The Shield a lot and if I were still a student, I would have definitely rebooked with The Shield. Thank you for accommodating me during my two years of being a student in Newcastle.
The University is very good Impeccable
Lovely experience 10/10 would recommend to students.

Not very good experience for me.
A wonderful experience at Northumbria University, Highly recommend!
An international and welcoming university, where everyone is ready to help and there are excellent on-campus facilities for both study and leisure.
Overall I’ve loved my time at uni, law building has everything a student needs. Only things I would say is that the computers are a bit slow and the level of feedback from teachers varies form okay to poor.
Had an amazing time as a student here in this campus!
I enjoyed my time in the University and will miss it once I graduate.
Great uni with brilliant campus, ample study space, well designed events and activities
Paying 9 grand for extremely poor internet connection. Academic support from lecturers is very little to 0.
newcastle as a city is fantastic, the place has heart and personality in buckets which makes it worth studying at anyway. my computer science school experience has been lacking somewhat in how i think its been taught/ presented, but everything that i have needed has been readily available and all the extras like clubs social events are fantastic. big up the cosy dove
Really sociable campus with lots of facilities and plenty of help available online and in person.

Newcastle University is making a remarkable progress and soon it will be one of the leading universities worldwide.
Great academic support and facilities, with a super open and friendly research culture that is committed to EDI
The school facilities and activities are very good, but sometimes there is a slight difference in the network. When using the printer, logging in to the account will take a long time.
Good learning environment and relatively perfect facilities.
