Great uni! Very helpful and approachable staff
If you are thinking in do a Master in MMU, Please dont. they will take your money only. - if your non English there is no support and they will fail you. - They do not care, they just say everything will be alright, and you finish the year been advised to take another year. - If your disable student there is few limited support. - The tutors do not have no experience at their subjects (MA Education, Psychology...) , looks like they all in cocaine. - If your Asian they will take all your money and then abandon you. - the course subjects do not make any sense. anyway

Hi, thanks for submitting your review. We are really sorry to hear that you have been unhappy with your experience so far. Have you been in touch with your Student Support Officer? They are able to provide advice and guidance on any aspect on university life and can advise you further on university regulations if you do want to raise any of your issues further. Their contact details can be found here: https://www2.mmu.ac.uk/student-life/study-success/study-skills/1-2-1/student-support-officers/ I hope this helps.
Absolutely amazing. Every issue is dealt with immediately and taken seriously. The staff are all so nice and helpful. The whole place has a great feel to it and it is a good working environment
Pretty good, could be better lol
Much better than expected, amazing lecturers and met my best friends in the climbing society
University really ensures that there is a good leaning environment set up and facilities are all well kept
I'm a international student for MMU, and my experience has been amazing so far. The teachers are amazing and the facilities and campus are awesome.

Glad to hear you are having an amazing time studying with us so far! We hope you enjoy the rest of your studies with.
I love it here, Ive settled in really well

Thank you for your lovely review! We hope you continue to enjoy your studies with us.
Great facilities, friendly society's and an awesome nightlife on campus and in Greater Manchester

Thanks for leaving such a positive review. Once of the highlights of studying in Manchester is the great nightlife available, and it's great to hear that you are enjoying some of our societies!
Great facilities, societies and helpful staff

Thank you so much for your feedback! It's great to hear that you have joined some of our societies. We have put a lot of work into the campus over the last few years to make sure our facilities make for a better student experience, so it's wonderful to hear your feedback.
LOVE MANCHESTER METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY !!!

Wow! Thank you for such positive feedback! :-) We are glad that you are anjoying your studies with us.
It's hard work but it has a great atmosphere
Very on policy and organised university, with great functioning facilities and productive staff.
I’ve just started my first year at MMU, and found the facilities are second to none. The seminars are engaging and the range of information given in lectures is really valuable. Manchester is a vibrant student city and I’d advise anyone to study here.

Hi there, thank you so much for the lovely feedback. Manchester is a great student city and it sounds like you are getting a lot out of your course. We hope you continue to enjoy your studies with us!!
I am very happy and glad that i chose Manchester Metropolitan University. My tutors are really helpful and they always provide us with the resources and information that we need. There are many opportunities and things that you can do while you are studying that can enhance your CV such as course reps and jobs around campus and uni! I really enjoy my university life here!

Wow! Thank you for giving us such a positive review. We are really pleased that you are enjoying your time as a Manchester Met student.
The university is multi cultural and you will fit in, regardless of who you are. So if you are quiet like me, it does not really matter.

Thanks for your review. We also think that there is something for everything at Manchester Met University and we try and do our best to make sure that everyone fits in. We noticed that you have only given us 2 stars, if you do want to provide us with any more feedback, if there is something that you are unhappy aboput, please can you email us at manmetuni@mmu.ac.uk and we will respond to you.
The only club I applied for, the biology club, took my money and then didn't say a word. I tried reaching them with no reply. I can't speak for the other clubs though. Everything else is fine.

Sorry to hear this! If you haven't done so already, I would report this to the Student Union so that they are aware of what happened. Rebecca
I have very much enjoyed my experience at Manchester Metropolitan University so far and would recommend it to anybody looking for their next step on the educational ladder. Durning my time at this uni, my tutors have given continued support and have made my learning experience a positive one.

Thank you for your lovely review :-) We hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your studies with us! Rebecca
The uni is definitely a good one and it's helped me learn a lot but some work still needs to be done to expand it
I’ve loved my first year at uni and the services have exceeded my expectations. I’m very excited to continue my studies in the autumn.

That's great to hear! We hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your studies with us!
The Tutors are fantastic and really care for student wellfare.
The uni facilities are good but the teaching isn’t the best. There should be more revision sessions and more than 9 hours a week teaching.

Thank you for your review, and glad to hear that you are enjoying our facilties. Have you thought about speaking to your Course Rep about the experience you have had with the teaching? They act as the voice of their course mates, and attend meetings with our Faculty Staff, so will be able to feedback any suggestions you have. Rebecca
Awful, staff are rude and unhelpful and everything was run very badly

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with us. If you are still studying with us, have you tried speaking to your Student Support Officer? They are there to support you with any problems you experience whilst at university, and can help escalate your complaints to hopefully make your studies with us more enjoyable.
Had a very good experience with this uni
teachers couldnt care less. the whole university is purely there to make money not to help students. all assignments marked with the same score as theyre not read. you get 90% of points on presentation because they take a quick glance. i pay £9250 to get a full time placement which i dont get paid for. and they have the cheek to brag that theyre paying for the application fees.
Amazing student ambassadors to tour you around. And the staff are excellent and approachable
Beautiful,best study experience ever

Thank you! :-)
Very much enjoyed my experience. The uni is pratical and functional. Its more about the learning than the drinking which is more that available in the close city centre
The uni is great the support they give to students is absolutely great and I love being a student here the atmosphere is good and the lecturers are brilliant

Thanks for the review Sophie! Great to hear that you love being a student here! Rebecca
Had a terrible experience all the staff were useless and the entire place put me off uni as a whole
So so glad I picked MMU. I had the A levels to get into “better” universities, i.e. University of Manchester, but from the open day I fell in love with MMU and everyone who works here. It’s really supportive and organised. The smallish campus means you never get lost and even the buildings look pretty. My course is more than I expected. I made friends so easily. So happy I chose here.

Glad to hear that you've enjoyed your studies with us! A lot of work goes into our campus to make it a great place to study, so it's great to hear such positive feedback!
No community feel, no student engagement in university life. The campus is outdated. I felt lonely and isolated in my halls in first year. Compared to the Uni of Manchester it’s not good.

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your studies with us. You may want to provide some feedback to our Students Union regarding the lack of community feel and student engagement. A new SU team has just been appointment, so hopefully they will be looking at new activities to increase a the community feel around the university. We are always looking to improve our campus, and we are currently building a new Arts and Humanties building which should make the campus more modern and improve the student experience. Rebecca
I enjoy studying here and think the facilities are fantastic.
Having a fantastic experience and love the university, great lecturers, amazing support and would recommend anyone to do their degree here

Great to hear that you are having a fantastic experience! Hope you continue to do so throughout the rest of your course :-) Rebecca
I love this university a lot. The campus buildings are all very close together, which makes it easy to get around. The union is very lovely with lots of classes going on, such as yoga which I frequently attend! The union shop is decently priced which a variety of products suitable for varying subjects. The union bar is overpriced and the food isn’t that great, however the atmosphere is so nice. The university itself is brilliant. The staff are all fantastic, and there is always someone to help! I really enjoy my course (history) and was very pleased with being able to pick up German too!

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review! We are glad you are enjoying your studies with us. Our Union are always happy to hear feedback from our students, so feel free to leave them some feedback on their website. Good on you for taking advantage of our Uniwide Languages scheme, by picking up German alongside your History degree. It's a great skill to put on your CV!
Tutors were always amazing and the course I did was great. The students union wasn’t the best, though. It did improve over the time I was there, but compared to other universities it just didn’t have as much going on. I think the Humanity Hallows and MMU Make a Difference were both really good organisation, and a credit to the university

Thank you for your review. Our Student Union are always happy to hear feedback from students, so feel free to leave some feedback on their website. A new SU team has just been elected, so hopefully they will be looking at previous feedback and seeing what new activities they can put on for our students. Great to hear that you enjoyed our student magazine Humanity Hallows. The students who run the magazine put a lot of effort and hard work into it, so i'm sure they would really appreciate such positive feedback!
amazing career service and help getting placement. not much to do in union or anywhere to sit comfortably. pretty average all round

You may want to provide some feedback to our Student Union on their website. A new SU team has just been appointed, so hopefully they will be looking a new acitivites the SU can host for students. Thanks for the feedback about our careers service! You will have access to their great services after you graduate as well.
Really accessible uni with great facilities
Very supportive university, in terms of careers and well-being. Competent and professional staff.

Thanks for such a positive review! It's great to hear that you've had a high level of support from careers and wellbeing.
Amazing university with great facilities

Thank you :-)
Great university, very modern facilities. Can always get a computer/ books when needed. Loads of clubs/ societies on offer, something for everyone. Staff are brilliant in terms of lecturing and a lot are in the very forefront of their field. (I can only speak for Chemistry however)
The brand new business school at Manchester Metropolitan University is tremendous. The University itself is very intriguing.
Very up to date viby university just needs more activities around the campus to get more people involved
It is a good university! I just believe that simple mistakes by the university cost it such a low place in the league!
It's a decent university however, we seriously need a bigger library and study centre
In second year, and loving my uni experience so far

Glad to hear that you are loving your university experience! Hope you continue to do so for the rest of your studies.
Theres a lotof things going in the union, you just have to look and choose what to be part of.. the facilities are good and there opportunity for part time job that you get help you gain work experience in some sectors but you gain so many skills out of it..
Nice people and most of the lecturers are very helpful but just wish the student union had a better nightlife and wasn’t as expensive.
I had a terrible experience at mmu. The campus was great and the choice of societies was fair enough but being a student who lived at home and studied on the birley campus i was isolated from the rest of the uni. When things started to go wrong in my academic placement the staff at the uni made it worse for me by not supporting me and telling the school where i was on placement about this issues in my personal life which lead to them kicking me out the school (despite none of the issues i had being my fault). When the placement ended i was given 3 choices, change courses, resit the module next year or drop out. Due to the way the staff at the university treated me i chose the latter. I would not reccomend the university if you need somewhere that is going to support you if youve had any sort of personal difficulty in the last 5 years every tutor will just palm you off telling you to go to student support (who were just as useless as the rest of the staff)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm really sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us. As a University we try to make sure that we offer support to all of our students throughout the duration of their course, with Student Support Officers in each faculty, the Union's Advice Centre and many other services available to those who need support. I'm sorry that this support was not offered to you whilst you were here with us and can only offer my sincerest apologies. If you would like to get back to us with any further feedback then please do not hesitate to do so by replying to us. I wish you all the best in the future. Rebecca
Great campus/halls friendly teachers
Amazing university, everyone is lovely, really helpful
Everything is ok but nothing is particularly outstanding. There is a huge variety of people from all kinds of backgrounds which makes it hard to accommodate all.
Banging Uni, class social, bun the union good enough nights out as it is.
Overall good facility’s across various buildings tutors helpful. Feedback could be better or more organised.
The lecturers are amazing and are willing to help us understand what we dont. Everyone is very friendly.
Nights out are amazing and the uni is great! Drinks are cheap in the union and there’s always something going on
I came here through clearling and honestly wasn’t expecting the standards I’d been promised at university of Manchester but I think it’s such good university! The lecturers are so helpful and understanding of any issues you’ve had
excellent facilities tutors who care
A great university with people that work hard to make sure you’re happy. Plenty of sports societies, nights out are great especially social wednesdays. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
Moved from Sheffield and love Manchester. Would recommend this uni to all students.
University were very helpful in helping me transfer to another course within the uni
Amazing staff all incredibly helpful and hard working
In short.... I should have gone to a different university
It has been fun the nightlife is good there is something for everyone
An outstanding university, I am delighted I selected to attend MMU
Very good university but could be better in term of internet and help for students in need
Good clean facilities, friendly teaching staff

Thank you for leaving a positive review! We hope you continue to enjoy your studies with us :-)
More clubs and societies required

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. If there isn't a club or society in an area you are interested in, have you tried setting up your own? This is something The Union offer and they would be happy to have a chat with you about it. Their contact details can be found at https://www.theunionmmu.org/contact-us/.
Campus facilities are average, not very modern unless you study business or law where there have been new buildings built
Brilliant university which has every facility and service possible for a thorough education
Good university, nice campus location
MMU is a place for future professionals with excellent real world work experiences available and world class teaching staff. The facilities fit the standard of the city being modern and in the heart of the city. The facilities are second to none

Thanks for leaving such a great review! It's good to hear you're having such a positive experience with us.
Felt right at home moving to Manchester and the fit right into the university. There is always someone to help and the library has great recourses. Accommodation all relatively nice especially Birley, night life is amazing and a wide range for all
MMU have the most supportive lecturers and tutors. They care about their students and the opinions students have, are passionate about the subject they teach and know what they're talking about. Facilities are good, as is the mix of students in classes/lectures.
Brilliant university. Has a great library, and campus facilities are great too. Staff can never do enough and treat you like their equals.
Great course and really good lecturers and staff who are always there to help and encourage you no matter what. Staff are always approachable about any topic, and point you in the right direction with lots of aid. So much help with dissertation advice and planning during second year; staff make you feel like a friend.

Thanks for such a positive review! It's great to hear that you've had a high level of support from the staff here. We hope you continue to have a great experience with MMU!
Foundation year had nothing to do with the linked degree, and somehow they managed to have about 4 left wing societies and 0 right wing ones with a ton of propaganda around the uni. I decided to take a year out after the foundation and now think it's a huge waste of money unless you're doing science.

I'm sorry you feel you've had a bad experience. If we do not have a society in the area you are interested in, have you thought about setting up your own? This is something that the Student Union offer, and you can contact them at theunion@mmu.ac.uk if you are interested. In terms of the content of your Foundation Year, have you tried talking to your Student Support Officer in regards to your teaching and learning experiences? They are there to support you with any problems you experience whilst at university, as well as provide guidance to help you achieve your goals. Please visit our website for information about our Student Support Officers and how to contact them: http://www2.mmu.ac.uk/business-school/study/student-experience/student-support-officers/I hope this helps.
I’m in my second year, and everything has been brilliant so far. The tutors are helpful, support staff are friendly and there are so many good facilities and events for students of all different types.

Thanks for such a positive review! Glad to hear you're having such a great time studying here!
MMU is a fab University - loads of resources available and really helpful tutors that will go the extra mile to make sure you’re not struggling.

Thanks for such a positive review! We hope you continue to enjoy your studies with us.
The staff are so supporting they reply to my emails at any time of the day even over the holidays!
I’ve had a great time at this uni and think that it has great facilities and teaching staff with a good social side as well!
The support and opportunities that MMU provides is unprecedented, despite being constantly undermined by the UoM bring just down the road
Manchester metropolitan university is truly amazing, i study Fashion business and management and i am very happy with the support i get from tutors daily! The campus is fun and big and there are like a ton of societies! The tutors are the biggest helpers and im super impressed with the education! Help is available everywhere through student union and everyone is super understanding!
Everything you could want out of a uni, a 24/7 library cause they know students don't sleep! The union bar is great and there are so many societies to be part of!
Manchester met is fab best uni in the country easy peasy
Lots of space to study in library and Brooks building. Library is really good, 24/7. Has so far had all the books I need. Not many societies. Only religious ones, music ones or political ones. Poorly advertised - saying they have hundreds. They do, but hundreds if you're religious or love politics. Wifi is good. However it takes about 15 tries to download a powerpoint because it can't "get a secure connection".

Thank you for your review! If we do not have a society in the area you are interested in, have you thought about setting up your own? This is something that the Student Union offer, and you can contact them at theunion@mmu.ac.uk if you are interested.
The facilities are ok and the wifi works the majority of the time. The biggest let down about the University is the students and the level of teaching. Throughout my time at MMU I did not learn anything more than what I already knew, a vast amount of the lectures are useless and the degrees they offer are not specific enough to be useful after University. I have resorted to taking my degree off of my CV as it has only impeded by job searching rather than improve it. Please do not go to this University. You will regret it.

I'm really sorry to hear this. We do regularly review our courses, to make sure that our graduates are employable for both the private and public sectors. If you graduated within the last three years and are looking for work, then you will still have access to our careers and employability service. They can offer you careers advice through their online careers service or over a face to face appointment. They also work with local employers who are look to recruit graduates from MMU, which can be really beneficial if you are looking for work within the Greater Manchester area.
Great uni. Shame the student halls are fully of power hungry security but hey ho that's life
all ok. happy with the campus, lots of diversity
Great uni! I really recommend it, especially the Business School! 10/10!
Good wifi, library is amazing - so useful for different needs of all students such as the quiet zone, group zone, etc
Great community and learning environment
Big campus, at first difficult to navigate but some buildings are very modern but the Business school does not have heating.
I don't really use the students union because it's bit rubbish. I just go to my communal hub in my accommodation in First Street
I am going manchester metropolitan university
Great for mature students. Lots of support. Library staff are amazingly helpful.
Love my campus, I'm at the Birley campus which is only 2 years old. Gorgeous building with lots of facilities to help me on my course. Great student union, beautiful building with plenty to do/get involved in.
No complaints actually, though marking can be slow and feedback shoddy
The wifi in university is very temperamental, but it does work when it connects. They have very good facilities and clubs/societies with lots of choice and good prices, but the library does need to be bigger!!
Never tried the sports or societies as none appealed to me. Internet goes off as you move about the building you study in and sometimes doesn't load back up. Big library and spaces to do work. Workshops for engineering students are no where near big enough. And printers always seem to break/not do as you want. Student union has a good shop and coffee area. Bar was okay for students freshers night when I went but the hall space seems too small to hold the open fairs
