My review is based predominantly on the business school. The facilities are brilliant, and the lecturers are good some are amazing and some are not so much. The wifi is naff but they provide a lot of support for stuff like careers and searching for placements.

Thanks for your review. We are currently undergoing an upgrade to improve the Wi-Fi service across the University campus so hopefully you should find that this improves. In the meantime, we would aways recommend reporting any Wi-Fi service issues to our IT team so that they can investigate any individual cases. You can contact the team on 0161 247 4646 or through their live chat here https://manmetchat.mmu.ac.uk/ - hope this helps :)
Good experience but it’s been ruined by covid! Wish there could’ve been more support from tutors and unit leaders
Student union is a separate company which isn't hardly supported by the university, clubs struggle to stay "in business" and students have to pay more than they can afford or are willing to do, nothing is free and if it is it has to be returned "kit", student union is over priced when it should be cheap, manchest is a massive sporting and social city and the university doesn't support or push this

Thanks for taking the time to post your comments. Sorry to hear that your experience of our Student Union has been disappointing. As a registered charity, our Student Union has elected Student Offices who represent our students and are involved at all levels of decision-making in Man Met, including The Union. If you’re currently studying with us, you may wish to consider running as a Student Officer. You can find out more here: Student Officers (theunionmmu.org). Overall, I will say I have had a challenging experience as a student of MMU. This especially is true when it comes to the number of classes/ lecture that is required to attend on a weekly basis. It leaves little time for one to adjust to a new environment if you are an international student. You are faced with different pressures ( academic, financial, mental health etc) all at the same time.

Hello, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry to hear it's been challenging for you. Have you visited our website to see upcoming International students' events? International Student Events | Manchester Metropolitan University (mmu.ac.uk). The University also offers services and opportunities to support students' wellbeing: Student Wellbeing | Manchester Metropolitan University (mmu.ac.uk). Hope this helps :)
On the fdt course they have great equipment and serviced and the technicians are very dedicated. The staff are very well trained but can sometimes slack in giving student the help we need. The students union is rubbish I wish it held more events like gigs or social nights only thing I have been to is a roller disco which was good but that’s it. The counciling service is abit rubbish as well they don’t connect with the student and won’t make time for you.
MMU is really a great university with everything including academics, campus facilities, high speed Internet, range of different cultural program & it located at heart of University.
Fantastic experience, good social interaction and first in class student session
So far my experience has been very enjoyable, what I’ve most enjoyed is how the societies are organised and social life to university
Good teaching, good sports set ups and location for accomodation, campus and sporting facilities.
The teacher, environment, teaching materials, and equipments are great and useful for students for studying.
Manchester metropolitan university is a good university with students from diversed background. The lecturers are understanding and caring. The facilities and location of the uni is great too.
As an exchange student I really like the vibe here. It's very chilling but learning at the same time. Facilities here is wonderful and I met a lot of good people here.

So pleased to hear you have enjoyed your time as an exchange student at Man Met. Glad you got to make some new friends whislt here. Hopefully we will see you back in Manchester again soon :)
Because my first year was during covid, I don’t know much about the uni facilities or societies and I feel like I missed out on a lot of knowledge of what the uni had to offer
Wi-Fi is unreliable but the student union is a great place to meet people and do work

Thanks for posting your review. Sorry to hear that you find the Uni Wi-Fi unreliable. Definitely worth contacting our IT Services team to raise your concerns: Contact the IT Helpline | Manchester Metropolitan University (mmu.ac.uk). Hope this helps :)
A fantastic space to learn within

So great to hear you've enjoyed your time studying with us. Thanks for such a lovely review :)
The uni as a whole is good! The campus is easy to get around the facilities are amazing! A bit more teach support it’s needed

Amazing business school , great food and classes.

Thanks for your great review. Lovely to hear that you're enjoying your time at our Business School, and that the food's a winner! :)
Brill uni, more socials such as balls or dances could be thrown.

Thank you for posting your review. We think this is a great idea! We would definitely recommend sending your suggestion in va the Union's student feedback form: Feedback Form (forms-db.com).
I don't overly get to use the uni services as I'm a masters student so don't get much time to do clubs and actives out of uni and work
Have really enjoyed my first year at Manchester Met strutting sport and exercise science. The uni has great facilities and has plenty of support in place.

Well done on completing your first year at Man Met. Great to hear you're enjoying our facilities and feel supported in your studies. Good luck for Year 2 :)
The campus is beautiful and lively. Provides good socialising opportunities for students. Even the staff are really helpful and friendly.

Thank you for posting your review. So wonderful to hear that love our campus and that you find our Man Met staff helpful and friendly.
As a student at Manchester Met, I found the university to be dynamic and exciting. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable, and the courses were well-structured and engaging. The facilities were top-notch, with modern lecture halls and well-equipped libraries. The city of Manchester also offered plenty of opportunities for cultural experiences and entertainment, making it a great place to be a student.

Thanks for taking the time to post such a lovely review! We love hearing that you enjoyed your time in Manchesterand at our University :)
In manchester metropolitan university, everybody is somebody. all courses are of standardized prowess and lectures take place in high level technological standard. The student union has the strongest perfect relationship between the school and the students. Every thing works in manchester metropolitan university. In MMU, what God cannot do, does not exist
The University is inclusive with many activities and support available. Friendly lecturer and polite staff and students
Manchester Metropolitan University is a great University to study at. It has a very pretty campus, lovely and helpful staff. The best thing about the University is it gives a lot of opportunities to grow in your personal lives as well as on professional fronts. It provides free sports sessions, mental health services, assignment support and guidance, finance management for students, accommodation help and basically every kind of help possible. Everyone is so helpful and generous. There are lot of events that takes place around the year, every festival is celebrated here of every culture. I got to know different cultures, different cuisines and different people. It is an amazing and uplifting experience.
Manchester Metropolitan University is a wonderful place to study in Manchester. They have lots of different courses and the tutors are really supportive. The university is also really diverse and welcoming to everyone. You can join in lots of fun activities outside of class too. It's a great place to go to university!
As a International student, I feel the university is very good in all the aspects.
It is a great place to spend your time
Manchester Metropolitan, being an international university represents diverse cultures having inclusivity yet providing the space for invidual identity. Here, at MMU Extracurricular activities are curated with learning and career focused for students. It has an opportunity of interdisciplinary learning where environment and sustainability has a specific part in each curriculum. Last but not the least, research focused study makes it stand out in all UK universities.
One of the best and affordable universities in manchester
Modern and functional uni. Good range of places to study and socialise within the uni.
The wifi was shotty but overall as an exchange person, the campus and staff were amazing and helpful
It is an amazing experience, all the staff are very friendly and helpful and I love everything around campus! to the food, the union, study rooms, staff and the buildings! my favourite is the brooks building though :)
Great university with loads of opportunities and a great up and coming city to live it
Don't let the thought go going to a metropolitan discourage you, just finishing the first year and this uni has been absolutely amazing, for so so many things. Genuinely have no complaints.
The environment, students and lecturers are all welcoming and friendly
such a proud to be in a place where its a great opportunity and amazing people round including our tutors, staff and everyone at MMU .
Student Union and the support offered by the school is excellent. There are also frequent events offered by the university to encourage sociability. If you don’t like your course it’s straightforward to change. Pastoral care is really good.
sustainable A university where promote sustainability and tutors and staffs are supportive towards students. Always feel encouraged to step out my comfort zone during my uni life.
Really good, although some societies aren’t too great to be honest. The book club hasn’t done anything and keeps cancelling. Big L
My experience at MMU is quite interesting as the university is quite different from what we have in India. There are a lot of resources available for students and it is very helpful for us, but we could be introduced to all those resources once to be able to know them. Many resources are unknown to students because they are mentioned anywher. The campus is very helpful and friendly. There are many events held for our interest and resourcing in many ways which is very helpful and amazing.
Great place to study , the new John dalton building will be great - will provide more study space , newer facilities- making the university better
My time at Man Met has been amazing, the staff are great, facilities have been above and beyond expectation. Birley accommodation was outstanding. Great uni
It’s a great uni located in an amazing location where it’s close to everything that you need.
Really love the surrounding of the university with diversified culture that it follows with friendly people and healthy learning environment it has the best infrastructure as compared to other universities in Manchester.
I love how many fun study spaces there are, I love where it is in the city and and how helpful all my lecturers and seminar leaders are too. I feel fully supported here
Fantastic uni with amazing facilities and brilliant staff 10/10 would mmu again.
I love MMU, it's a supportive environment. All our lecturers make we feel important and looked after so we can achieve our best in university but also when we leave.
My post graduate experience has been awesome. I am so glad I chose to go to MMU.
Mmu will support students in any way they can whether it be study issues, personal issues or finance.
All around campus there are a lot of computers. The library is separated into collaborative, quiet, and silent study zones which is useful because you can find a good place to study. There are cafes which offer a range of food and drink in most / all buildings and also in a few buildings there are canteens serving hot food. The business school canteen is great, it offers a range of food from around the world and is reasonably priced. There are lots of societies at MMU but some are more active than others. There are always lots of events happening around campus and it really feels like a community when you're at MMU.
The psychology department is honestly the best and most supportive department
I am on track to get a high grade in my degree, and I believe if you engage properly with everything the university provides you with, then you will do well academically. I just wish they put more effort into the other aspects of 'uni-life'. I don't really feel that I've made any lifelong friends. This may have been due to the first two years mostly being online due to Covid, but I do believe there is lots of room for improvement in terms of clubs/societies, social events etc. My uni building (Brooks) is separate to the other uni buildings in a different part of Manchester so it does make you feel a little isolated from student life, especially if you don't live in student accommodation. It is a lovely new building though and I've got a dream job lined up for when I finish my studies so I am happy about that.
It is a very good place to study, with tutors that genuinely care and are helpful.
A really Friendly environment and helpful staff. Extra support sessions and support tutors. Multicultural environment.
All true. Great WiFi across all campus, lots of places to work from. Good facilities compared to other universities.
This university is lovely along with my course
I have nearly finished my second year at this university and I can say I always have the motivation to come here because I enjoy it, the lecturers on my course are all lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. I’d recommend this university to anyone specifically Early Years and Childhood studies. The only thing I’d be mindful about is the affordability to live in Manchester and booking your accommodation sooner rather than later. I did struggle with loneliness whilst living away from home so do shout up if you are struggling.

Thanks so much for your review. Great to hear you're enjoying your Early Years and Childhood Studies course. We really appreciate you including useful tips for others too. Good luck for Year 3 :)
Friendly teachers and nice atmosphere
Great university with great teachers who are always happy to help,
Very good, inclusive and helpful
One of the best experiences of my life. I got to interact with people from all walks of life. One of the most diverse and most amazing university ever
Manchester metropolitan university is a good university to school at. The support given to international students is amazing. There’s also access to various facilities that makes schooling even easier for students.
Well about MMU it does have a stunning infrastructure in the heart of the Manchester city.
Manchester Metropolitan University is a well-regarded institution with a strong academic reputation and a supportive student community. As with any university, there may be some challenges, but many students have reported a positive and enriching experience at MMU.
I’ve had an amazing experience over the past two years. The staff are all extremely supportive and the facilities are all close and accessible.
Very good uni, looks great, very close to the accommodations, good shops around.
Great university and lots of support if needed. But student union is not good.

Manchester Metropolitan university is a very good university that has amazing resources and staff that help you exceeds to the best version of your self and provide practical real skills to real life situations in work in the future and options one has with there degree which has me less terrified of the real world outside of university
A girl from India, who haven't had a exposure in her entire life as now got the essence of life and is curious about the future which Manmet as paved the path.
There's always something to do. Always activities to do provided by the university where you meet new people. There's always a place to study. There's a place to pray as well which is nice because it shows they respect different religions.
