Good university, would recommend but wifi can be hard to deal with sometimes.

The university is good, my department are helpful and work hard to try and support students. There could be more available to students who are neurodiverse or have other disabilities in terms of events/socials. The student union can feel inaccessible at times and it feels unknown what the elected student officers actually do once they're in their roles.

Great uni with a really active community, plenty to do here on top of studies. Staff are all brilliant. The wifi has never worked for me though

The facilities are nice and diverse. The teachers are a joy to be around

I really enjoy going to this university, had a great experience first year, stayed in archway halls which were very clean and modern. I haven’t joined a society as of yet but hoping to for the next coming year, there are plenty to choose from. The student union always has things on for students, to settle you in and create a social setting in order to meet new people. They have events on such as, quiz nights and movie nights. There is always something going on!

It’s a nice place wit friendly staff who help you when you need it. Food options are all the same with is a drawbacks

My lecturers were good, some that really ensured I did well, uni need ways more spaces to hang out in campus, not enough options, if others friends from other uni want to come here it’s so annoying that we can only chill in library lounge, either this is expanded or more places created, this will help all students from different backgrounds have options

MMU has been very supportive with my course, especially with being accommodating when life has thrown some obstacles my way.

I joined the pole dancing society, it felt quite unorganised and they didn't hire the studio for the last term so we missed out on a set of classes. they also didn't have enough space for all the people who wanted to join. The WiFi in the uni works about 70% of the time, which for a uni isn't enough. there's been multiple occasions when the WiFi was down/not working which is really inconvenient when we have to access things online for deadlines

I completed my A levels 2 years ago during the coronavirus pandemic, I went on to study at a different university, hoping to receive a warm welcome after the nation began to re-open after the devastating impact of coronavirus. I was met with a very different situation and, as a first year student at this different university, I felt sidelined and unsupported by my lecturers, unhappy, isolated, and depressed. I completed my first year at the different university and decided to withdraw my studies and move to Manchester School of Art where I am studying the Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. My experience at MMU has been nothing short of outstanding, and I have had a wonderful experience. I have found the student support system to be particularly impressive, with well-being of students remaining at the forefront of the university’s ethos. I cannot recommend MMU enough to prospective students, and hope this story of my experience is useful to possible applicants at MMU.

From my research for a university to study up to getting admission and finally attending, it's been a great experience and I do not feel like leaving the university community. I'm definitely coming back for PhD

~Online extra free courses available for the overall development of the students. (Through the Rise program where more than 10,000 free courses are available) ~The all saints library remains open 24/7. ~ Free workshops are available to help students with their assignments. ~ Focus on extracurricular activities. E.g Through the Union, we can join various societies including boxing, taekwondo, Archery, surfing, etc. ~ Availability of the 'Mentor me' program to get assistance from real-time professionals in our particular selected field. ~Extra free events for mental well-being. For example 'zone out' activities where we can play video games, mini golf, and cuddle dogs. These activities are really helpful to alleviate stress. ~ Extra support available for mental well-being. ~ In the career hub, guidance is provided in every way possible whether it is related to reviewing the CV, helping in preparing a LinkedIn profile or sharing sources to be a freelancer.

I am satisfied with the facilities, especially the toilet, but I am hoping to add more study zone.

Manchester metropolitan university is a really great institution. It is diverse in culture and creates room for everyone to express themselves irrespective of who you are. I recommend MMU anytime anywhere anyday.

Manchester Metropolitan University is a great university that has provided me with a wide range of opportunities for example my degree comes with a year long internship, I have also been able to volunteer with Manchester Cares through the student union and now I am at an interview to be a student ambassador which means that I will be able to work with the school while learning. I also love that the library is always open for me at anytime. The school is also very beautiful and my teachers have been nice and helpful

Facilities are really good. Most of the lectures are really helpful but some of them are really hard to contact when it’s come to resubmission. Expected to be flexible when it’s comes to international students as they have limited visas to stay in UK.

I have really enjoyed my University experience. During my 4 years at MMU I have grown, changed, and acquired essential and transferable knowledge and skills. It gave me the chance to work towards a future career. The career I have always dreamed about.

The university is good and I enjoyed my course however there are a lot of perks I did not learn about until the end of my final year so it would be good to communicate that :)
My review is based predominantly on the business school. The facilities are brilliant, and the lecturers are good some are amazing and some are not so much. The wifi is naff but they provide a lot of support for stuff like careers and searching for placements.

Good experience but it’s been ruined by covid! Wish there could’ve been more support from tutors and unit leaders
Student union is a separate company which isn't hardly supported by the university, clubs struggle to stay "in business" and students have to pay more than they can afford or are willing to do, nothing is free and if it is it has to be returned "kit", student union is over priced when it should be cheap, manchest is a massive sporting and social city and the university doesn't support or push this

My experience at mmu has been great, good facilities, good environment. Some changes need to be made such as better wifi.

Overall, I will say I have had a challenging experience as a student of MMU. This especially is true when it comes to the number of classes/ lecture that is required to attend on a weekly basis. It leaves little time for one to adjust to a new environment if you are an international student. You are faced with different pressures ( academic, financial, mental health etc) all at the same time.

On the fdt course they have great equipment and serviced and the technicians are very dedicated. The staff are very well trained but can sometimes slack in giving student the help we need. The students union is rubbish I wish it held more events like gigs or social nights only thing I have been to is a roller disco which was good but that’s it. The counciling service is abit rubbish as well they don’t connect with the student and won’t make time for you.
MMU is really a great university with everything including academics, campus facilities, high speed Internet, range of different cultural program & it located at heart of University.
Fantastic experience, good social interaction and first in class student session
So far my experience has been very enjoyable, what I’ve most enjoyed is how the societies are organised and social life to university
Good teaching, good sports set ups and location for accomodation, campus and sporting facilities.
The teacher, environment, teaching materials, and equipments are great and useful for students for studying.
Manchester metropolitan university is a good university with students from diversed background. The lecturers are understanding and caring. The facilities and location of the uni is great too.
As an exchange student I really like the vibe here. It's very chilling but learning at the same time. Facilities here is wonderful and I met a lot of good people here.

Because my first year was during covid, I don’t know much about the uni facilities or societies and I feel like I missed out on a lot of knowledge of what the uni had to offer

I don't overly get to use the uni services as I'm a masters student so don't get much time to do clubs and actives out of uni and work
Have really enjoyed my first year at Manchester Met strutting sport and exercise science. The uni has great facilities and has plenty of support in place.

As a student at Manchester Met, I found the university to be dynamic and exciting. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable, and the courses were well-structured and engaging. The facilities were top-notch, with modern lecture halls and well-equipped libraries. The city of Manchester also offered plenty of opportunities for cultural experiences and entertainment, making it a great place to be a student.

In manchester metropolitan university, everybody is somebody. all courses are of standardized prowess and lectures take place in high level technological standard. The student union has the strongest perfect relationship between the school and the students. Every thing works in manchester metropolitan university. In MMU, what God cannot do, does not exist
The University is inclusive with many activities and support available. Friendly lecturer and polite staff and students
Manchester Metropolitan University is a great University to study at. It has a very pretty campus, lovely and helpful staff. The best thing about the University is it gives a lot of opportunities to grow in your personal lives as well as on professional fronts. It provides free sports sessions, mental health services, assignment support and guidance, finance management for students, accommodation help and basically every kind of help possible. Everyone is so helpful and generous. There are lot of events that takes place around the year, every festival is celebrated here of every culture. I got to know different cultures, different cuisines and different people. It is an amazing and uplifting experience.
Manchester Metropolitan University is a wonderful place to study in Manchester. They have lots of different courses and the tutors are really supportive. The university is also really diverse and welcoming to everyone. You can join in lots of fun activities outside of class too. It's a great place to go to university!

Manchester Metropolitan, being an international university represents diverse cultures having inclusivity yet providing the space for invidual identity. Here, at MMU Extracurricular activities are curated with learning and career focused for students. It has an opportunity of interdisciplinary learning where environment and sustainability has a specific part in each curriculum. Last but not the least, research focused study makes it stand out in all UK universities.

It is an amazing experience, all the staff are very friendly and helpful and I love everything around campus! to the food, the union, study rooms, staff and the buildings! my favourite is the brooks building though :)

Don't let the thought go going to a metropolitan discourage you, just finishing the first year and this uni has been absolutely amazing, for so so many things. Genuinely have no complaints.

Student Union and the support offered by the school is excellent. There are also frequent events offered by the university to encourage sociability. If you don’t like your course it’s straightforward to change. Pastoral care is really good.

My experience at MMU is quite interesting as the university is quite different from what we have in India. There are a lot of resources available for students and it is very helpful for us, but we could be introduced to all those resources once to be able to know them. Many resources are unknown to students because they are mentioned anywher. The campus is very helpful and friendly. There are many events held for our interest and resourcing in many ways which is very helpful and amazing.
