Great university, am studying Business Economics and the quality of the lectures and seminars are amazing. Plenty of help provided if needed and the social aspect of the university is outstanding
Honestly, biggest pile of rath of a University i've ever had to deal with. My partner is becoming a Nurse and so many silly issues where you can have assessors who don't actually know what they are assessing and grading you as a third year student, when you are a first. When complaining about your grade, you get a moderator out who just plains mediator with the two parties. University of Lincoln deserves to be shut down. Period.
Very good service with every aspect, the teaching is very good and the tutors are always happy to help.
The university itself is always punching well above it's weight in my opinion and it makes me happy to see how far it has come in such a short time. My time here was filled with some of the brightest and most interesting people I have met. The staff are professional, accomplished and inspiring at times and the courses are top notch. I really loved my time here and will cherish the memories I have made. I think leaving was the hardest part of it.
The experience that vividly lives with me is the injustice, and structural oppression I have witnessed as an International student. If you have a major disability concern, the University cannot support you because you are an International student. Your support is linked to your status, which made question why International students will be offered admissions. It is discriminatory. Unfortunately, the International Office is not useful for an International student. Hence, you have a lone voice, you fight your battles alone. My experience was chilling and horrifying. The University made a grave mistake on my CAS, by inputting the wrong dates of studies completion. I had to fight, writing several mails that were disputed before I got partial 'seemingly' justice. Partial because I was made for a second time to show maintenance fees to the Home Office. My experience is horrifying, it affected my health and wellbeing, hence I wouldn't recommend the University to any International students.
I'm a fresher and have been at lincoln for a few weeks now, studying History (I know). So far the lecturers and seminar leaders have been great, especially Michele from the history dept. There are a lot of societies on offer and the student union hosts a large number of events. The campus has a lot of facilities including a good library, a sports centre and football pitch a pub and a club/music venue. The use of the Blackboard site also makes it easy to access course resources. So far the social experience has been great as Lincoln itself is a great student city. Also, everything is close together so shopping is nice and easy.
Excellent view which gives you the concerntion to study and get assigments, post readings and exams in the right frame of mind.
Easy access of library, very handy when exams and assignments are due in!
Good uni personally didn’t suit me as I couldnt get used to the city it’s self as I found it every small.
Most of the staff are wonderful and always happy to help you out
Great University situated in the heart of Lincoln with really good facilities and help provided for students.
Sometime wifi can not be connected.
The facilities are mostly modern and well maintained. The services available do seem to assist students in the best way possible. It just seems that the healthcare options on campus require vast improvement
Overall the university is very good, it offers a variety of sport and general societies. I like the fact that the university is open 24hr it is appreciated for when i need to do long period of studying.
Fantastic up and coming university with amazing facilities, teaching and guidance is superb plus the medical school will be built for 2020/21. Only down side is the lack of activities in Lincoln, but of course we won’t hold that against the uni.
I love living and studying at the University of Lincoln. Everything on my course is amazing so far - my personal tutor has been so helpful. I love my accommodation. I didn’t decide I needed accommodation until after results days and the accommodation team couldn’t have been more helpful! I love Lincoln and I’m so glad I came here!
As a former student I have a lot experiences in Lincoln and in Uni. Teachers and students are great - no problem there. The office staffs (admin groups) are horrible! - no communication between 2 offices, it takes ages to get a letter/pass files. Some of the staffs are not very friendly to the International students (specially coming from few specific countries). We were pretty strong group in there (7-9) students but more or less we all have similar experiences from the Uni staffs. Its a shame that such a good Uni has staffs like them who treated us not so politely.
Amazing course and modules. Science labs second to none.
The school is nice and modern , it’s overall cool.
Amazing university. Good support to international students. Very friendly and great teaching.
A relatively new University that so far has impressed me with an excellent SU, as well as a great course that has helped me develop my existing skills - Lincoln is a small but great city, with convenient placement of everything you need, including shops, restaurants and night life.
I love Lincoln. Everything is nearby, the facilities are great and it is just a brilliant place to live. The teachers are really great and I've made some amazing friends - just in my first year but really love it here.
Great University with excellent facilities.
I'm in my first year doing Media Production and I definitely chose the right uni. The best place to be for friendly students, staff and all round is perfect.
Lincoln University is a great university overall, it is great location, everything is within 5 minutes walk of each other and it is a very welcoming and holy place. Unfortunately for an art student graduate (illustration graduate) there isn't much help in looking for graduate illustration work nor preparation or much career service for it along with not much help in freelance illustrating. But this is just one specific course, the campus and nightlife is great although not great if you like alternative music/night life like rock city in Nottinghamshire. There are plenty of clubs, great library and good facilities.
There are lots of things to do on campus including cafes, pubs and bars, all at reasonable prices. There are many different clubs and societies, you will definitely find something for you. The SU is great and they get involved in a lot and put on a lot of great events for everyone. The careers service is great if you know about it. My course made sure I knew about them and we get sent a lot of information about how to improve our CVs or job prospects in the future. The internet is better on campus then in my accommodation I will regularly update apps on my phone while at uni or go to the library to do my research as the internet is faster than that at my accommodation.
Internet is very temperamental and always has been where I live in Lincoln.
Although it's not the largest university, the amount it has grown since I started in first year is so noticeable, and I know it is going to carry on growing. The Students Union is really helpful, the nightlife is so affordable and varied, and I love it!
Brilliant uni! Has only got better in my three years here!
It's a campus based uni and everything is so close that you can walk to town in about 5 minutes. It's a great location and the lecturers are all really friendly and happy to help as well as being great during lectures and clearly enjoy their subject. Accommodation varies, I'm in brayford quays which I really like despite the touchy WiFi, but courts is a bit prisony and gateway seems rushed. However most accommodation is great and reasonably priced. Great uni and I'm glad I picked it
I was so worried about coming to Lincoln but it is the best experience of my life. The teachers are great along with the facilities. Best uni by far
provided me with fantastic opportunities that have helped me out in the world
Business school is utter crap no help from staff subjects are pointless and do not relate to real life business. In three years here I haven't learnt a thing about real life business all lectures do is read off the slides and you'll be lucky to understand them as most have strong accents.
The uni is new and so really modern, and the city is beautiful and full of history and wonderful places to see and the nightlife is excellent for a small city. The courses are varied and interesting, the lecturers seem to really care about what they teach and are motivating. I wouldn't have loved any other uni as much as I do this one
Great atmosphere and wonderful helpful staff/lecturers
Very poor - Lecturers struggle to speak english
Has everything I ever needed and more. So many opportunities to be involved in Sports and Societies and support from every angle throughout university right up to now. Even supported getting my freelance business off the ground!
Really enjoying my first year really welcoming. I have settled in very well. Love all the things I've been doing both socially and educationally.
Lovely campus in a beautiful area.
Lovely campus in a lovely area. Standard of teaching is very high and the facilities to do so are exceptional. I really have no complaints other than the timetabling of science subjects to be at the same times as most society meetings so science students miss out on extra curricular sometimes. Other than that, it's brilliant.
its hella awesome 10/10 would recommend
I love it here, there is no end of support available and the city is great
I enjoyed my first year and I am returning to do my 2nd year of Media Production. There are room for improvements for course organisation, hopefully it's better for my 2nd year. However the university itself is very nice, there is always something going on thanks to the students union. The campus is nice and Lincoln itself is a beautiful little city.
Brilliant tutor support, great state of the art facilities & Lincoln has everything you need within a short walk.
I've just finished my second year and loved every minute of it, not had a problem!
The best modern university out there. I have had an amazing three years, the course is well taught, the SU offers so much and life in Lincoln is great. I have loved my time at Lincoln and wish I could do it all again!
Lincoln is a friendly, welcoming uni with so many lovely staff and amazing opportunities!
Great uni, can see where they're spending the tuition fees which is nice to see! Constantly updating buildings/systems etc. Amazing social life, always something going off somewhere so never bored! So close to town, never had to get a taxi or public transport once for anything, so cheap!
Fantastic university! I'm entering my 3rd year there and wouldn't change a thing. Campus is gorgeous and staff are lovely!
It's actually an incredible place to go. I love it
Loved my time at Lincoln. Has all the best facilities and courses. Would recommend anyone to go there.
everything's close to the uni including all the buildings, easy to find your way around, great buildings and lecturers
Had an amazing first year, and with the Internet/WiFi, I was getting 500Mb+ in courts.
Great university. I have loved my first year at Lincoln. The accommodation (courts) was great, wish the cleaning staff were more friendly. Course was great fun and I look forward to next year.
Had a fantastic first year, which I believe is down to both the brilliant city and the amazing university!
I think it is a fantastic university, staff and people are helpful they really care about students and their needs. Good courses and fit life style of nowadays.
The facilities on campus are easily accessible. The library could have more study space and computer working areas as it can sometimes be difficult to find space.
Coming from a small town this university is brilliant, the city isnt huge but the night life is great! There are loads of societies to join and everyone is friendly
After first year, the university experience seems to have been positive. No issues with the university.
I really enjoyed my first year at the University of Lincoln, despite it being a new course, it ran smoothly and came together really well
good overall not had much dealings with the students union yet
This university is absolutely amazing, and I'm glad that it seems to be growing at a fast rate. It's the perfect mix of student nightlife without being overcrowded, as well as being great when you need a relaxing day as well. There are all the facilities you could need on campus - great rehearsal space for performance degrees, a fantastic library, multiple study locations and 2 great bars right on campus. I would recommend Lincoln university to anyone and everyone. They are super supportive and really listen to there students. I wish I could go back and carry on studying as I had the best days of my life there!
Could be better. Student services are rubbish, some things are abit unorganised. Location is good, I enjoyed lectures.
Absolutely love the University of Lincoln! The people, the nightlife, the location! Amazing educational facility - with such amazing views! The town has everything you could ever need. I highly recommend coming to an open day and having a look round at not only the Uni, but Lincoln as a whole! A great place to live and study for 3 or more years!!
Such a great uni, severely underrated, needs more activities planned, trips out etc.
- Campus is fairly modern and always being updated - Beautiful setting within city (Brayford and views of Cathedral) - Excellent facilities - Students' Union really engaging - Good SU bars and venues - Huge variety of clubs and societies - WiFi does drop out a fair bit, but is accessible everywhere on campus - 24/7 library
The Uninis great but the Drama course is really hard to enjoy.
