museum is awesome and so do the campus
the SU could focus more on representing the average rather than the exception. Granted, the representation of the exception is key and crucial; nonetheless, it currently appears rather performative or politically motivated instead of an intrinsic commitment to represent the entirety of the student body.
I love it here, but the wifi is bad

I do engineering, the department is old but the course is good.

The University of Oxford is great in every way, and as an international student, there are a lot of things (especially the details) that were not available in previous schools in my country.
An overall great experience, but some improvements could be made on the internal community. Especially the Oxford SU which a lot of college JCR's have stopped working with due to controversial scandals.
I get the vibe that it's very different to the uni experience everywhere else, and yes what they say about the workload is true and real ( :') ) I still wouldn't have swapped it for anywhere else. And like yeah academics etc ofc but the social scene and community here is top notch (I haven't really seen it to the same extent elsewhere), and if you have the opportunity to come here I absolutely would not pass it up. ps: the SU question here is kinda irrelevant bc colleges and their respective jcrs actually take up the role that SU does in other unis. I don't think we're lacking in conventional SU support if you get me. SU does exist but power is limited bc of the college structure and they don't do much but it's not that big of a deal

SU was slightly underwhelming in first year, but it is undergoing restructuring so I have high hopes for next year! Wifi dead spots. Otherwise the perfect place for everything.

The accommodation depends on your college. My college is nice and reasonable for what I pay, however I know other students in other colleges that pay a lot more for smaller/less nice tmrooms with fewer resources.
I love it at Oxford so much! Everyone is friendly and great academic environment!! I was my dream University since forever and it didn’t disappoint ❤️
I have been here as a recognised PhD student at the Faculty of English, and it has been an extremely enriching experience. The Bod libraries are excellent and the exchange with the academic comunity is brilliant.

It's a great university, it's very diverse because of the college experiences but also a fantastic place to study for sure!

Very well equipped for student lifestyle
My school is super fun but really intense. There are so many activities as well that its feels quite overwhelming most of the time. The city itself is quite expensive to live in, perhaps because its a small tourist attraction. However, the quality of the faculties are top notch. Everyone brings their A game to class and our lecturers are very kind and welcoming. There’s a society or activity for everyone and many funding opportunities for everyone and every race. We also have this very lovely inspired dinners, balls and formals where we get to attend wearing black flowing robes. It’s a lovely tradition and the food is really good too. Best of all, the architecture is beautiful and the environment is serene. You get to feel like you’re in a magical place, perhaps Hogwarts (some of the scenes were actually shot here)!
Amazing University! Just a shame I got pooled to Wolfson College.

Oxford is great and truly everything it is advertised to be. The SU could use a revamp, but the lack of a great SU doesn't really seem to impact things that much. I do wish there were more meetings available with the careers service.

Good University, good tutors, good schooates
Very good and supportive ver good
The teaching quality varies wildly between courses and lectureres/tutors. While I have had some exceptional tutors, there are also a few who seem disinterested in teaching and simply reiterate answers to homework. I also had an excellent lecturer (yes it's singular) who actually cares about her students; there are also a few decent ones who made an effort to teach well. The vast majority of lecturers, however, range from mid to abysmal. Going to their classes can be a waste of time, and you can learn more from textbooks or MIT OCW. The terms and examinations are also a mess -- with only 8 weeks per term (3 terms per year), there is little time for in-depth coverage of course material, and topics frequently lack sufficient explanations. Exams are (almost) the only thing that determines the grades, but the quality of the exam questions are entirely based on the whim of the examiner, who might entertain themselves with testing niche or trivial things glossed over in the lectures.

Oxford University have amazing outreach programmes to extend their reach to many students. Would highly recommend to get a feel of the University.
Abolutely appalling place where bullying, victimization, harassment and croynism are the rule. The only thing you get out of Oxford is a degree. This place is run by cliques of lecturers who have all known each other for more than twenty years, and all cover for each other. Misogyny is pretty normal too. If you dare raise a concern, everything will be done to cover it up and silence you. Retaliation awaits you if dare say something and many lecturers are fundamentally contemptuous of students who, after all, are only cash-cows. At Oxford, internal regulation and the rule of all serve purely decorative purposes and don't be fooled by all the PR: they don't care about women, or students in general. At Oxford, only two things matter: a) extracting your fees b) maintaing their reputation.

Beautiful university, magical atmosphere, excellent education alongside very diverse peers. You get to form a great connection with all the tutors to help with your personal progress and learning! Not to mention the quads and dining halls that are all worthy as tourist attractions...
Wifi covers a lot of ground but can be on and off. So many careers opportunities, I get emails every day with prospective jobs and phone calls from companies trying to recruit me!
Wifi blankets most of Oxford but does like to go on and off at inopportune moments! Beautiful city, everything is within a 20 minute walk of my accommodation in the centre of Oxford.
Oxford University is the most amazing place to be. You meet extraordinary people at every step, both students and tutors, who absolutely change your perspective.
I'd never go anywhere else, otherwise i'd be bored- there's so much on, the work is amazing, the people are awesome and i'm never bored!
