Danesgate’s is at an ideal location from where everything is accessible at a walking distance. Rooms are spacious and have a good internet connection but the storage spaces e.g wardrobe, study tables are quite small. Also, there is no bookshelf available in the room. The property isn’t very well managed and cleaned as there are dirty staircases, hallways and some of the windows & cabins are broken in the kitchen. The kitchens are quite big but there is a storage crisis in the kitchen i.e. very small spaced cabins and just 2 fridges for 8 people although there is enough space to place another fridge in the kitchen. Additionally, lift on the ground floor is also broken for more than a month now but haven’t been repaired yet.
Amazing staff specially Ben and Vicci.
I had a positive experience living at Danesgate. The location was perfect for getting to class and accessing the bus and train station. The management team was always available to help with any issues. While the room was a bit smaller than expected, the common areas were great for socializing and studying. Overall, I would recommend this accommodation to fellow students looking for affordable and convenient accommodation.

Really worth the price and it’s nice being near the shops.
The property is located at the center where you can find anything nearby. Even the university of lincoln. The rooms are big and clean and have a great view of cathedral. Come and enjoy your stay as a student.

It’s a great place to live been here 2 years now and couldn’t think of anywhere I’d want to be living while at university, the stay are brilliant always make sure anything we need or have any problems they are sorted straight away

Danesgate has been an enjoyable experience for me so far. The reception team and staff are very friendly and always greet you upon entry and exit. The furnishing of the flat is far better than my previous flat. As it is a large flat, the kitchen is quite regularly used and is pleasant only if everyone cleans up after themselves and take the bins out. My room is quite big and spacious with an excellent view. So close to the centre of town and not far from uni either. One improvement is that when maintenance require access to your room, they email you instead of contacting you on their app. Sometimes I have received emails on the same day as required access so I haven't been able to tidy away personal belongings. This is quite annoying. Especially when I had 3 viewings of my room within 2 weeks and felt a bit annoyed and intruded upon. I have had less room access notices recently so I'm not sure if this only occurs when you first move in. Altogether, I think this is the best place to sta

Great value for money, friendly staff
I highly do recommend Dansgate for my friends and anyone seeking accommodation too, especially those who live outside of Lincoln. It's not only within walking distance of the University but also conveniently located near the main shops and stores on the high street. It offers great value for money. In addition Dansgate is very neat and all the staffs are very friendly, nice and always willing to help
The download speed is crazy good with 100Mb/s. The staff here are amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Always love a good chat and are able to help with anything 10/10 :)

It's a memorable experience but some issues with the cleanliness as no one feel responsible for cleaning here.... Less amenities in flats like broom and mops not provided to kitchen at all.. You need to bring it from reception every time you need.... That's not convenient at all and also there is lack of ventilation In small kitchen at almost every flat which results into fire alarm while cooking any fried food and also very hot during summers. There should be one security atleast every night on the property which is just available on Friday and Saturday.... Also some kitchen have induction cook top which leads to non functioning of many utensils bought by students... It must be the one which is suitable for all utensils..... I hope these things would be notice and appropriate steps will be taken care.

I would definately recommend Densgate for anyone looking for an accomodation especially for those living outside of Lincoln. It’s not just walking distance from the University but it’s also right next to the high street, where the main shops and stores are. Good value for money !

Its been over a month since I have moved to Danesgate and I have been pleased with my stay so far. I am extremely happy with my decision of moving into this property. Be it the feel of the place reminding me of home to its cleanliness. A huge shoutout to the staff. That has been one thing that has stood out the most for me - the property has a wonderful team. The team plans various activities throughout the year, which seems exciting and a lovely way to meet and interact with other students living in the apartment and building. I am looking foward to meeting some lovely people and having a pleasant year ahead.
great student accommodation if you’re attending university or studying. location is only 10-15 min walk to uni and next to town making it perfect for moving around, staff are really helpful and make you feel at home! Guaranteed to make new friends and good experiences :)
Marvellous customer service and management.
Where do i start, safeguarding maybe?, terrible ahd to beg and plead to move flat after bullying and in the end had to financially bargain to o Pay a higher rate for a lower spec room to leave a flat after being told due to finances my friend and i had to stay.they handled the situation so poorly even tho the flat in question gad a reputation amongst staff for their behaviour.halfway through the management and it just got worse they constantly denied that parcels had arrived even with proof of them being signed for by staff they would go into rooms without notifying you and admitted to ignoring emails purposely. And tahts not forgetting how the fire alarm is broken and would go off multiple times a night (12+) and they would still reguse to replace it. I wouldn't reccomend this place at all
In terms of the accommodation it is fine however me and a few others have been not so fortunate with who we are living

A really nice place to live in with the really nice people. The staff are super professional with issues that are happening in the room. Dan, who does the maintenance, is absolutely professional with faults in the room and manages to get them repair in mintutes. Charlotte is a brilliant cleaner with the kitchens. Dani and Mark who are brilliant at reception. Always welcoming. Brilliant place to live with the best staff to ask help with.

Studios need a dedicated freezer as they currently only have a ice box in the fridge, could use a set of plugs under the desk are and a hole in the back of the desk for people who bring full desktop PCs and wired network connections because WiFi isn't always reliable. Staff are fantastic though

Location: High street is less than a 2 minute walk , all the main clubs and bars are within a 5 minute walk and the university is around a 10 minute walk (or 15 if you're slow!). Management: All the staff here are amazing - they recently went out of their way to help me find a lost book belonging to my girlfriend, which saved me an angry telling off. Social stuff: Most flats here have over 10 people living in them, so social life here is great. There are also a few flats available with less, such as 4 or 5 if that's what you would prefer. Studios are also an option. To accommodate this, social spaces are fairly large and some of your best memories will occur in the kitchens. Cleaning and wifi: Everything is very clean when you arrive and the hallways of your flat are hoovered every week which is great. Also, the Wifi here is surprisingly fast - if you're someone who cares about this I usually get 8MB/s on steam so it's decent Value: Fully worth it - I recommend to everyone

Staff are very welcoming and made sure I was sorted and settled in, especially Kerri who made my experience at danesgate fun and stress free. Although my stay was short summer term, I felt like it was my home and didn't want to leave.

Staff are lovely and very accomodating. Receptionists are always down for a chat and a laugh. Maintenance are always quick to fix things and they even checked in on us over the christmas period to give us gifts and make sure we were ok. The cleaner does an amazing job at keeping the building spotless - really appreciated especially living here during Covid19. Fantastic location - close to clubs, bars, shops and the uni. Social opportunities are good, as flats vary in size with some having 16+ people. Modern kitchens and bedrooms with massive windows - beautiful view of the cathedral :)

Without a doubt the worst place I have ever lived in my four years at university. - We were totally mislead and shown photos of a different flat that was nothing like the flat we received when we moved in - Staff member threatened to "kick the s*** out of" a tenant - The kitchen has no windows and is constantly at 28-30 degrees with no way of changing this, cheap air con units given don't work to change the temperature, staff do not care - Complaints are not responded to when you go above property level - Radiators are switched on and off whenever the staff choose so you can't control the temperature of your bedroom - The WiFi is terrible and staff will not deal with it, they leave it to tenants to try to sort out with the cheap WiFi company they are with, who do nothing - Horrendous mattress, have developed back and neck problems since living here - So much more that won't fit in this review. If the staff do respond to this, please know they will lie and lie to get out of everything.

Danesgate is one of the best accommodations in my opinion. It’s so close to the high street and clubs, and it’s only a short walk to the uni and the library. The rooms are a great size for the price and the kitchens are really spacious too. The staff are always so friendly and always have goodies and freebies down at reception. I’d recommend living at Danesgate, I’ve booked it for second year too!

Modern accommodation in a good location that’s not too far from the university or the nightlife. The lack of social/communal space is a drawback as this would add to the Danesgate experience. Friendly staff but the implementation and maintaining of Covid-19 rules could be improved.

Lovely place to stay for uni - great rooms with wonderful en-suites and clean communal areas. Spot on location in the cathedral quarter - close to everything that's worth seeing in Lincoln; great bars, cafes, takeaways, late night shops and restaurants are close by. It's a bit further away from campus than some accommodation, but it's still only about a 10 minute walk, and its well worth it for the location. Lincoln Cathedral and Castle, Magna Carta and the infamous 'oldy-worldy' heart-attack inducing Steep Hill are on the doorstep, and the main shopping area is a 5 minute stumble away. The reception and maintenance/cleaning staff are wonderful; they're always friendly and willing to help you. Communication has been efficient via email about issues within the accommodation, especially through the covid crisis. The shared kitchens are well equipped, stylish and, along with the rooms, have some great views across Lincoln. WiFi is reliable and fast - Highly recommend!

The staff are absolutely lovely and do all they can to help you. Very quick on maintenance issues. Often do really nice activities with free goodies in the lobby. Rooms are nice with nicer views on the higher floors

I had a wonderful time at Danesgate. I felt safe at all times. The friendliness and helpfulness of the team at Danesgate made me feel absolutely great, especially as an international student. Even after I moved out, the team would always help me with anything I had asked them. In the one year I lived there, I felt at home. The rooms were comfortable and in good condition. There was always life around you, and yet they were considerate of other flatmates. The location in the middle of the city was perfect and everything was located within walking distance. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful as well as the maintenance team. The accommodation is set in a great location, in the city centre. Perhaps the WIFI can be improved, and a recycling point can be introduced, other than that no complaints.

Very helpful maintenance and reception staff, always being friendly and welcoming. Kitchen and bedroom are modern and of a high standard. Only complaints are the wifi isn’t very good and there is no recycling point on site.

I have lived at Danesgate since day one at uni and never felt compelled to leave, each year brought new and amazing people into the flat making for an amazing social experience. The maintenance team is amazing, we’ve had small jobs for ‘regular’ maintenance and they’ve been fixed on the same day every time. The reception staff are so welcoming & always eager to help. I love living at Danesgate & am disappointed that I didn’t find it before 3rd year!

Morden accommodation, friendly and helpful staffs. Close to most shops, but my only concern is that I don't have an Ethernet port in my room but the wifi there is super fast ngl.

I used to live in Danesgate and there is honestly no better accommodation in Lincoln. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the facilities on site a brilliant and well looked after and the rooms are top notch - I’ve not enjoyed any other house or accommodation as much as I enjoyed living at Danesgate.

This is my second year at Danesgate now, definitely one of the best accommodation choices in Lincoln, really nice facilities, location and value for money, and the staff are super friendly and supportive, especially during self isolation they helped out making everything so much easier. The staff are amazing, they are so cheerful and helpful!! The rooms are decent and contain everything you could need! Not to mention the amazing view of the cathedral you get from the rooms in the back facing rooms! Not too far from the high street or uni campus either which is a bonus!

Danesgate House is a great place to live - it is in a good location only being a short walk to both the high street and university. The rooms are very spacious and clean along with a great kitchen/living area for socialising. The reception team are very helpful and friendly so you can approach them with any issues - overall it is a great place to live and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for student accommodation in Lincoln.

Lovely building very nice staff, been living here since beginning of October. im in a studio room and its a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Not really any communal space but the majority of flats are quite large and social i have friends in one of the 16 person flats and they are very welcoming

This is my son's first year at Danesgate and we have been impressed from the first contact. Great communications throughout and good standard of accommodation. However, the two things which make Danesgate stand out for me are:- Fabulous accommodation team - always willing to help and answer questions, quick to support when needed. Location - right in the centre of Lincoln, close to the castle and the University. Highly recommended.

During my time here the receptionist have been really nice! very talkative and helpful with whatever we need. I also have a fairly decent view, the rooms are spacious.

All of the staff are lovely, the receptionists are very helpful, the cleaner does a good job and the maintenance man fixed any issues I had. The internet is fantastic, better than the WiFi I had at home - although sometimes can be a bit slower in the evening, what can you explain expect with so many people using it. The location is great, I can see the cathedral from my room; at night it looks amazing, not only that, it is within 5 minutes of the uni, right next to a Tesco express, and within 10 minutes of larger shops, which is very convenient. I would highly recommend staying here.

Living in danesgate was fab. The rooms are large and quality is definitely well above . The staffs are really great as well; so friendly and welcoming. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and it made my second year experience great and memorable... the only downside to it is that it’s a bit far from campus but only like a 20 mins walk depending on where your lecture is .

Lived here for all three years of my BA course at the University of Lincoln; stayed in my own ensuite room and shared a spacious kitchen with others in my flat. Property is ideally placed with only a 10-minute walk to university campus via the high street, two supermarkets/convenience shops a minute's walk from the front door, and situated even closer, frankly the best chip shop I've ever visited. Living spaces were very comfortable, and standards of cleanliness were excellent. The Internet/Wi-Fi is fantastic, and there is also a laundry room on the ground floor with washing machines and tumbledryers. Staff were all incredibly friendly and supportive throughout my three years' tenancy, and have adapted exceptionally well to the safety/distancing conditions of COVID-19. To top it off, there are beautiful window views of Lincoln Cathedral from one side of the building, and the city rooftops from the other. Would thoroughly recommend Danesgate House to any prospective students.

Staying here just for the summer but the Danesgate team have been amazing since i'm here on my own. Very friendly and great communication about maintenance going on within flats/ the building. Flats are very clean, ensuite room that i am staying in is a great size compared to other halls ive stayed in. And kitchen facilities contain lots of storage, fridges and cooking spaces. They have been very accomodating , which has been proven further more during the coronavirus circumstances, and my last minuite need for accomodation.

The student accommodation has a great location! You are in less than 3 minutes in the city and 10 minutes to the university! There is one thing that makes the accommodation special and that is the team that is always ready to help. If you have problems with small things, Dan is always available without long waiting time. Whether it's tips for leisure activities or things concerning the apartment, Sarah at the reception is always ready to help! I can just recommend moving in to the Student accommodation, as it was the perfect Location and Service.

It's more expensive than some other accomodations but that's because it's to a higher standard. The rooms are light and the windows are amazing! Have actual showers with doors. Friendly and nice staff, there usually someone there. The kitchens are big and modern which is nice, perfect for pres and afters. So close to the clubs and shops, and its a nice walk to the uni. So glad I came here and very sad to leave :( Wifi does randomly drop out from time to time though which can be p annoying but it isnt often enough to be an actual problem

Friendly staff - always help with anything you need. Very close to university (10 minute walk) and the town centre (2 minute walk). Lots of freebies in reception. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. A lot of facilities are included.

Brilliant place to live! It was so close to town so I always visited my friends who lived there, and we would stay after a night out. Compared to where I live, everything like maintenance requests were always done so quick. I wish I had lived here in my first year. The staff were really friendly, the housekeeper even cleaned the communal corridors and always had a chat with everyone. The flats and rooms are a good size with big open windows and Cathedral views.

The rooms are amazing! I’m in a classic en-suite and is it very spacious for student accommodation, very clean-looking bedrooms and bathrooms which are nice and modern (as well as the kitchens/living areas). The staff are all helpful and friendly, always happy to help. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the University of Lincoln, there are shops just down the road (2 min walk) to buy food etc. Great location for both the university and nightlife, since most of the bars/clubs in Lincoln are located right next to the accommodation (2 minute walk once again) Overall having a good experience with Danesgate House:)

Positives +Reception and cleaning staff are helpful and friendly +Large flats of up to 16 people so good to meet new people + EN suites +Slap bang in City Center 2 min walk from Lincolns best clubs +10 mins away from Uni Negatives -"Super Fast Wifi" advertised on the page is a joke. Up to 100Mbps is misleading I got on average 5-10mbps and if you are a gamer the ping is extremely inconsistent: 40-500ms depending on time of day. Wifi also cuts off unexpectedly. -Value for money: I paid £120 pw which is steep considering the rooms are small Basic bed, cheap mattress, wardrobe and a desk. -The washing facilities are ridiculous its £5 for a 30 minute wash and a 50 minute dry. Machines are tiny so you have to do multiple loads - cheaper for me to get the train home and do my washing! -The rent payments are not aligned with maintenance loans so you have to pay a £50 deferment fee x3 if you cant pay the upfront cost. Thats an extra £150 hidden in the T&Cs which is dirty money...

Before moving in, the staff were very supportive in helping to finish my application and made me feel secure that I had a place to stay for the first year. Stayed in an en-suite, and when maintenance problems occurred, staff provided quick service to sort that (not anything major: things like blockages in the sink, shower etc.). Convenient location spot as it's next to the town and in close range to the clubs. Overall, had a good experience and glad I had stayed here for my first year. Thank you Danesgate!
So glad I chose this accommodation. Kate and Emma on reception are so welcoming and friendly and Dan fixes all problems quickly.
Great people, great place! I am staying here for all 3 years of my course, the people in charge are lovely and so helpful, as are all the staff. Only downside is that it's a bit noisy at night and the wifi isn't always great, but you get used to it.

This has been my only issue at Danesgate house and if there was another issue it was fixed usually within the day. Initially it was alright the rooms were big but as time went on it was clear the staff didn't care about any complaints that were made. When a flatmate was attacked by another flatmate which we caught on camera they refused to move the offending flatmate even though she made continued threats and verbal harassment towards us. The overnight guest policy was not enforced which lead to a week long party by the aforementioned flatmate during exam season. The fire alarms were going off at around 3am due to faults in the alarm system. The wifi and Internet was either not connected or so slow that you would have to go down to the libary to do work or go on social media.So I would not recommend paying £103 for a week to live in danesgate especially as a student.
Nice, cosy, with a lot of light rooms. Big modern kitchen and living room. Perfect location. 10 minutes to uni and just in the middle of the city centre.
Not worth it. Reported problems all year round and nothing ever got fixed or sorted. Absolutely regretting lives here all year. Fire alarm is set off constantly, expensive for what is provided, 16 bed flat all with ensuites £103 a week, even though mantinence problems are never fixed. People constantly breaking contracts with overnight guest rules, etc and nothing done about it except a warning (or 4 but nothing was ever sorted and it still kept happening). Stay away and look for somewhere that actually sorts the problems rather than failing you in room inspection for it (even though it's been reported 20 times previous and not fixed) or you get charged up to £100 for certain things if they believe you broke it and not due to general use. Seriously not worth the hassle, find somewhere else to live.
Very nice rooms well laid out with large beds, the walk to campus isn't too long but can get annoying after a while.
Initially not impressed with Danesgate House because i moved in after a refurbishment which delayed lots and things were constantly breaking - but once everything had settled, it is a lovely accommodation to live in and everyone was lovely at reception. One of the cheaper halls to live in and so close to the town and nightlife. Lots of takeaways close by too! Definitely worth a look around and I would recommend it to all new coming students!
Love my hall and all the people in it :) we had problems and they go out of their way to fix them
