I really feel home staying here at West Park, the place is calm, peaceful and quite. The staff here are very friendly.
Reasonable place to study. For international students.. it’s a good place to pursue life sciences, medicine or dentistry.
All inconveniences of living with people aside, Heathfield is a good location to spend one semester in. Even for the less social ones, living your own life without participating in group activities is merely possible. Yet, I encourage you to give a chance to this opportunity all gathered, this is enriching as everyone comes from other countries. You might as well be prepared to undertake household chores without counting who did what.
I do not regret choosing to study at Dundee University.
Overall decent university. Not too dynamic of a campus, but staff and lecturers are great.
Wifi cuts out often and the clubs provided a minimally active; however this only seems to be an issue with a few clubs.
Absolutely no complaints what so ever.
The university needs imrovements but overall had a nice experience. I enjoyed how friendly everyone is but services needs better regulations
Very good university however wifi in academic buildings could be improved.
I really love studying at Dundee!
The buildings on campus aren't far from each other, campus isn't too spread out which I like. Can get good views of the tay from some areas. Campus is also really close to places like lidl and tesco which make it handy for doing a food shop after class or going for a quick sweet treat in between classes. Campus is also fairly clean and tidy.
everything is great! so many support services
I wish there were more societies and especially a nursing society where we can all go to and speak about everything going on. Also to meet other students who are in different years who can advise us
The Internet can sometimes be slow, but otherwise is very reliable. There are a lot of good clubs/societies available to join.
great teaching staff always happy to answer questions
For the size of the university it has everything you could need and there’s plenty to get yourself involved in.
The University of Dundee offers excellent academic support and a welcoming environment for students. The campus is well-maintained, with clean facilities and great services that make studying here enjoyable. If you're looking for a university with quality education and a great student experience, Dundee is a fantastic choice!
I'm totally new so I wouldn't be able to rate about careers services, students union and club societies but as they won't allow me to go forward without it, so I'm rating it with a positive Hope.Hope I would be getting support from the team I mentioned. As being a international student we definitely would feel great to get support for a normal part time job,or to interact with students union and even being a part of some club or society.
Amazing uni, currently not a great choice for stability due to huge financial issues, everything is really easily accessible (if you live on campus), the uni has pretty much everything you need as long as you know your way around

Wide range of courses, great student union! Convenient location, in the city and good transportation.
Loads of clubs and societies to choose from that aren't just sports.
Lectures are recorded so it's really useful for revision and thereters are spacious
sometimes the internet doesn’t work which is annoying, there’s not been much chat about careers or anything. I would say the campus is easy to get to and realitivly central
University of Dundee is absolutely amazing! Had a great experience here so far :)
Bad experience with the heads of my course but the uni itself is great. The wellbeing team is especially good.
The best experiences you could have.
Studying at the University of Dundee has been an incredible experience! The university offers an outstanding blend of academic excellence, supportive staff, and a vibrant student community. The teaching quality is top-tier, with knowledgeable and approachable professors who are genuinely invested in student success. Courses are well-structured, with a great balance of theory and practical applications, ensuring students are fully prepared for their careers. The campus facilities are modern and well-maintained. The library is extensive and equipped with everything needed for focused study, while the student union offers plenty of social and extracurricular activities to keep university life exciting. One of the standout features is the student support system. Whether it’s academic guidance, career advice, or mental health support, Dundee truly prioritizes student well-being.
In my experience, studying at University of Dundee has been a really good experience. Staff are always there to help you when you are lost or have questions
Great university for biology and social events
Awesome facilities, great staff, and a bunch of societies
The university facilities are all nice and well kept, all my lecturers have been more than happy to help, union has lots of stuff going on. Clubs and societies are all thriving and there is many to join and choose from, as well as benefits for joining them.
Good size and good staff, very happy
It is a great sized university, and everybody is lovely. Lecturers are super helpful and are always good to talk to.
they're really poor at the minute so its not looking too great
I love Dundee university as I think the staff are really friendly, DUSA always has something on for everyone to do and I think the location is in a good spot
I love everything about the University and it's surrounding environment.
Really good university, With very engaging and intelligent lecturers who help you to understand the course, The sports union is very good and any questions I had were answered by incredibly nice people
I’ve made good friends and the professors are easy to approach.
Feel like home and student friendly
I'm too new to say about my experience in the campus but it has a very friendly environment and kindly stuff. In my first day in Dundee, a staff helped me to carry my luggage and I'm so grateful about her kindness.
amazing uni, very well located and very nice support for students
i am loving it here at Dundee and hope it stays the same for my remaining time here
Its the best university someone can ask for.
Internet is my only issue, and the seats app.
They provide assistance in every aspect of your student career and consultant is the absolute best. Living in accommodation really gives you living at home feeling.
Amazing university, kind staff and professors and exceptional courses.
The Dundee University campus is really beautiful and it's great to just take a stroll around the campus and admire all the old and new buildings. The layout is great as well for its fairly easy to find where you need to go for different classes. I'd say the highlight is the tower building with the rainbow windows as it's really beautiful to see at night.
Campus is really warm and welcoming, the library is a good warm environment with different levels for different noise ratings to help focus. The hockey society has been amazing, everyone is so friendly and made me feel so welcome and is a great way to make new friends. The internet can be on or off. Career services are amazing and helpful and so is the student union for meeting people
The internet and WiFi are great; I've never had an issue with them. I really like the Student Union, as they organise activities from time to time and actively engage with students. I've never been to Career Services, but from what I've heard from other students, it's fine. The campus facilities are excellent, with many places available for sports, although a membership is required. The same applies to clubs and societies.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Heathfield for their warmth and hospitality. This is my first year away from home, studying alone in a foreign place with a completely different cultural climate. It takes me almost 30 hours to arrive. It's far away from home. However, the kindness and friendliness of the staff and my roommates here have made me feel less lonely and more at home. And now here has become my second home. Your support has truly made a difference in my transition and adaptation to this new environment. Thank you for everything!
I think the rent is way too high and the fact that we have to pay extra for doing laundry is not something I'm used to in other student accommodations. There are problems that we report but most of the time no effort is made to fix them. There are too many times access is required and sometimes I don't really understand why. Feels uncomfortable having people show up so often to my space and sometimes they even forget to let us know people are coming.
great! Wish the premier at the student union had longer opening hours
Everyone here is ready to help with an outstanding help to fit in especially for international students
Great campus with good facilities
Great accommodation environment.
West park villas are one of the best student accommodation, it is maintained very well by the university and my personal experience over here is so peaceful and clam. Overall I would recommend for upcoming students who are looking for the accommodation.
Love the campus! Everything is so close and nice to have a community
Wonderful experience so far and I'm looking forward to the rest of it.
The University of Dundee is renowned for its excellent academic programs, supportive faculty, and vibrant student community. The campus offers state-of-the-art facilities, fostering both learning and research. Its welcoming environment and strong career prospects make it a great choice for students.
Well the campus is quite compact and close to the city centre, besides there are so many activities through the year, university is indeed well takw care of their students not just knowledge but mental health and networking as well
School campus is big. But more road sign will be better
Te University hosts a state of art library divided into separate spaces thus ensuring that everyone has access to a study place that fits their requirement, irrespective of whether it is preparing for a group assignment, an interview or just working alone on your research paper the library has a safe space for everything. Not only does it offer a place to study but it has a huge database for all students from different fields.
I really enjoy the campus, and the greenery. Lots of clubs and opportunities to join things
Sometimes the WiFi will disconnect suddenly
A range of societies and clubs to join which made integrating much easier and making new friends.
The university is very friendly and warm
Love all the clubs the uni has to offer. I haven’t gone to many student union events as they haven’t interested me.
Everything is fine love the look of campus
The University of Dundee is highly recommended for its supportive community, excellent facilities, and strong academic programs
As an international student it’s hard to make a place feel like home, but with the university of Dundee it isn’t hard anymore
Everyone at the university is very helpful, friendly, and encouraging. Especially the clubs and societies, getting involved is fun and easy. The campus is very well maintained and well staffed, staff is always ready to help.
Nice campus to study on and great staff
The university provides multiple facilities and resources particularly for international students, this helps with homesickness and loneliness which can be quite difficult to manage abroad. The career service hosts many events online and even offers one to one sessions for CV and interview preps.
Staff and lecturers are all very kind and pleasant. There are many cafes and pubs within walking distance, and I love the old buildings.
Facilities are great, top notch technologies used in classrooms, lecture halls. Teachers are polite and teaches well. Modern style classes and student union is strong and is in support of students. There are lot of clubs, societies to join.
Westpark Flats offers a great living experience with modern amenities, clean spaces, and a peaceful environment. The management is responsive, and the location is super convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and convenience!
The career service would be better if it had an application for its own cause reaching them wouldnt be achieved unless i kept asking about it
Plenty of clubs to join, clear communication from careers services and all necessary facilities are kept up to a high degree.
Experience has been good and I have felt safe and welcomed
I am only in my first year so do not have much experience with all the facilities and services on offer, so my rating will reflect that fact. So far my experience has been relatively positive, however DSA have been slow which is very frustrating as I only got support well after I had been struggling and needed it. And I am still waiting on my funding ect.
An excellent university, who work hard to provide an enjoyable student experience. They have the best disability support I have experienced at a university in the UK, and the student body are generally a great group of people.
my experience at the University of Dundee has been incredibly positive. The university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, combined with its academic rigor and supportive community, has made it an ideal place for my higher education journey.
Love being a student at Dundee. Due to the Universities smaller size it is very supportive. There is an incredible range of clubs and societies to join - something for everyone. Student Union is great with a lovely cafe to sit and work in. I have particularly scene enjoyed the arts scene in and around campus, with lots of great events and exhibitions always occurring. The city itself is great - with it being fairly small and so sunny you don’t feel isolated and it’s lovely being by the waterfront.
The university provides a wide range of services that really help to immerse new students into the community. I have found that the campus has many facilities that are all easily accessible. There are so many clubs and societies that allow new students to meet new people and feel included. The career services are great in teaching students various ways they could apply their degrees and what they can be used for. Overall, the University of Dundee is an amazing place for students and it is great for meeting new people.
One of the best college that I have come across with the utmost teaching facilities and lots of unions etc . They do provide provide proper communication and knowledge in each category . Would recommend to anyone.
Good university but can be hard to find a welcoming society other than the religious ones.
I am in second year of dental school. During first year I stayed in student accommodation and joined a couple of socieites. I felt the accommodation was pretty good and my room was big. When having issues with my roommates, the student services did offer help, although there was not much they could do, they were very supportive. I am with the uni disability services which have really helped me with the transition from school studies to university. Whenever I have an issue, they try their best to help me and they have really supported me. This year, I was interested in applying for an intercalated degree, I did have to search quite a lot for support but after speaking to the career services, they were able to direct me to the correct place. I would really recommend the disability services, the career services and also the general student services. The union did slightly suffer last year due to a mix of post covid and also the concrete crisis but apparently the events are better now.
It's great experience and everyone should visit the campus.
It's a very welcoming campus with a fair amount of things to do to keep you entertained. You get the general feeling that you are cared about.
It's alright. But, I think there could be more clubs (especially sports) to participate in.
I have great experience studying in the University
Great campus environment, everyone is helpful, easily reachable by bus.
Education and society department has a brand new office for the PhD students. Student have access to staff and the kitchen/social area allow for great socialising
Great campus style uni close to the city centre. Student union hosts some events and has a nice cafe but could do with more food options.
I’m very happy as a student at the University of Dundee. The clubs and societies are numerous and all wonderful. They vary from being cultural, sporting or course based and are headed by really enthusiastic and experienced people. The Student Union is extremely active and supportive throughout a student’s time at the university. All staff members are welcoming, respectful and supportive; always ready to help or signpost you to someone else who can. The University campus isn’t very close to the City Centre where most of the shopping happens but it’s well connected via buses that are fairly frequent. The teaching for Medicine involves commuting from the Main Campus to the Ninewells Hospital via the bus. Ninewells is a teaching hospital that is very well and diversely equipped for the patients and students there. The teaching rooms, lecture theatres, the Clinical Skills Centre, the library, etc. are just a few places where you will spend your time and love it, as a medical student.
Lectures are very helpful and hands on and give great advice
I really enjoy the University of Dundee, it is a beautiful campus that offers a lot of support for student living. There are also many social activities, clubs, and societies that are a great way to find a community on campus.
The University is wonderful! People are very helpful and it feels nice to be a part of this University specially as an international student.
University social side has declined recently but academics are still good
