Brilliant university with outstanding facilities for mental health support. Certain discrepancies such as the use of AI and criteria for mitigating circumstances seem to be unknown of differing amongst lecturers which can prove to be an issue for students

I want to connect with people and meet new people and I have signed to several societies but not one has emailed or done anything to connect us or gather us together. I don't have a lot of understanding as to what the student union building is and what the role is of the student union the careers service is excellent its amazing with a lot of help and support from them. the wifi throughout the whole of UCLAN is brilliant and the campus is gorgeous with amazing facilities I recommend this university to everyone its like a hidden gem not many know about.

everything accessible on campus including free access to gym and also use of the sports arena. lots of variety in sport and social clubs which are great to help make friends.

Our Preston campus is perfectly located in the city allowing students to access their classes, the library and social activities really easily. The uni is okay. Not the best but not the worst. Food in canteen is good but cheap. Staff are mostly nice. There needs to be better help with carers and finding a job.

Student services are always willing to help with any problem. Regular events are hosted which are always fun. Never had any connection issues on campus.

Lots of fun events and activities to get involved in. The library is great for studying. Everything is in good walking distance. Great opportunities to socialise and meet new people.

The University's location is great

We are very lucky to be located right in the heart of the city with so much within walking distance from campus including, local parks, the main high-street which is full of cafes, shops and bars and the main station which is only a 10 minute walk from campus.Best wishes ^Sarah

It is never too late to make new friends at university and there are many ways you can. If you are interested in joining a society or club, these are both great ways for you to meet likeminded people outside of your course, more information on the wide range of societies we offer can be found on the Students' Union website. There are also lots of events and activities going on throughout the year for you to get involved with and meet other people. Keep an eye out for these events through posts on our social media channels, checking the Student Hub events section and searching on the Students' Union website. Another great way of meeting people is by becoming a student ambassador. There are opportunities throughout the year for students to become ambassadors here at the university. This is a paid role allowing flexible working opportunities for students and involves: - Meeting and talking to potential students who are interested in studying here - Supporting virtual and physical events including Open Days, Applicant Days, Graduation and Lancashire Science Festival - Speaking to applicants in our peer-to-peer call centre - Delivering campus and facility tours More information on student ambassador opportunities can be found through the Student Hub. My time so far at uclan has been OK with with no issues or problems however I also think it's been nothing special compared to the time I had in collage with the only exception being the harder work

I like it here but as a history student I often feel as if our course is seen as less than the other courses and we are constantly just dropped into whatever small classroom they can find us, in random buildings with very little warning- we may not be doctors but over half of us want to be the teachers of the future and it would be nice for that to be recognised- a cafe in livsey house would also be very great

Could not have asked for a better one, especially first time student living alone I couldn’t have choosen a better accommodation from the living experience but also the extra help they offer and the facilities but also little suprises and events !

Currently 2 and a half years into a 5 year course and I'm still discovering new things to do. Preston and the Uni will always be a second home for me.

Overall, the university offers a great atmosphere. However, it could be further improved by providing more accessible study spaces ideally available on a 24-hour basis for students.
My time at UCLan has been great. The staff on my course are very helpful and friendly. The facilities of the university are great especially the 24/7 library.

The university is generally good, during my time at UCLan I haven't really had any issues that haven't been resolved, the reason for my ratings on the reviews is i feel the university could include more societies/clubs within their campus as there is only a handful, but i am aware they are adding more as they recently added the law society, As for the wifi, the wifi is generally good, however the connection in some areas of campus can be very spotty with some areas not receiving wifi or service, but the wifi does cover a huge area of campus as well as study spaces. The teaching is great and so are the teachers, calm and understanding and only want the best for you.

Internet constant where ever you go, societies are lovely, like the library when we have 24hr access. Teachers in TESOL course are lovely.

I hear some not great things from other courses, but I’m studying interior design and all my tutors are amazing, most of your software is included in your tuition (you get everything you need except one software which is £50 a year out of pocket) and the technicians are amazing at getting your work to you quickly and the facilities they have that they can use to produce your work are great too! City is fun as well and cost of living is very low compared to other uni areas, I’m year 2 and I’ve never regretted coming here :)

One of the best experiences of my life. I have only been here a year and I have met so many ppl from not just my nationality. Wonderful environment and an overwhelming support service. This university gave me a life like I will truly be grateful for.

The university campus is quite big. This university has a good amount of subjects and courses for bachelors and masters students. Its affordable too. the faculty here is really helpful and always keeps in touch with the students. I came here for masters and the master batch are really small, like there are hardly 13-14 students per batch. therefore, the faculty knows everyone by their name and gives full attention to the students so that they can excel in their careers.

The campus offers a variety of facilities from a free gym to canteens, the Students’ Union, study and social spaces and the 24 hour library is essential to student life. There is WIFI across campus and it is easy to use, all staff and departments across the university are happy to help in anyway they can.

i cannot fault my tutors on my course, they are absolutely brilliant. what seems to let us and the course down is the upper management, who don’t know what is good for the students and are more concerned with lining their pockets.

It's the best place I have lived so far. My flatmates are absolutely amazing. The reception is so nice and helpful. I can't be more happier than this. The common room is refurbished and it feels like heaven now.

It's am excellent choice for students seeking a comfortable , modern and conveniently place to live. It combines practically with a supportive environment making it ideal for both study and socialising. Moreover staffs are very friendly.

So far, I have really enjoyed my stay in UCLan. The environment is clean, the facilities are outstanding. The staffs are very friendly and our module leaders are very nice. The school has created countless opportunities to help students interact with peers and geg exposure through events both formal and informal. It has been a wonderful experience so far and in my next life I would choose UCLan all over again. ❤️

Studying at UCLan has been a fantastic experience! The university offers excellent facilities, supportive staff, and a diverse range of courses. The campus is modern and well-equipped, with plenty of resources to help with studies. The atmosphere is friendly and inclusive, making it easy to meet new people and feel at home. The room is very clean and sound-proofed. The heating temperature is moderate, and there are many activities in normal times.

I love the community. As an international I could easily make friends and I did not felt left out. Some aspects need improvement but overall it was a good experience studying in UCLan.

Great course (Acting Ba Hons). Lovely modern facilities. A few issues with particular members of staff and attitudes to students, courses and facilities etc... In terms of them being overbearing, cutting facilities, disregarding students. But as a faculty, lovely provisions and brilliant teaching.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience at UCLan, the student centre is only a 15 minute walk to the high street and 5 minutes to some great food places. The laboratory facilities are very up to date and the achievement services are really helpful

Honestly a great place to live, very safe due to the lock system and they create great offers for food, soup days and more, staff are very nice too :)
