LTU is a lovely little university that isn’t to overwhelming with a lot of facilities accessible and responsive lectures
I think Leeds Trinity University was the perfect pick for me as I really enjoy the small community feel I get due to Leeds Trinity having a smaller campus.
The campus has supportive staff and a good wellbeing team etc. However, there are hardly SU activities, opportunities to meet people and social life. The accommodation is rubbish on campus.
Great University, really pretty campus and very friendly and helpful staff!
Lovely destination close to lots of shops and facilities
I have found Leeds Trinity University to be incredibly helpful - amazing societies and I have gained excellent skills to put on my CV
Whenever I have had problems, the University have always been incredibly supportive and for that I am so glad to be apart of such a great Uni!
Second year at this university, the campus itself and the facilities are amazing, I love the campus and feel like its such a nice place to be at. However the university is so small so making friends outside the course has been the hardest. Although everyone is so nice and friendly there is hardly any socialising opportunities especially when living off campus, there definitely needs to be more events hosted and a lot more things to get involved in. I feel that this is one of the universities biggest downsides. Another downside is a certain 'lazy lecturer' who does not know how to teach. Instead anything taught is given through homework (so we can find it out ourselves) or it is read off a book or a website, after several complaints she still hasn't been sacked which is a shame as she doesn't know how to teach. The university really should take complaints of lecturers more seriously, especially when they have got complaints over and over about the same person.
I graduated from Leeds Trinity last year and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had to deal with. I did a Secondary Education, PE and Sport degree and the PE/sport side was appalling. There was no relevancy to things you would do in secondary education PE and you would most likely be laughed at if you tried to do them. We spent 2 hours doing underarm throws with a tennis ball, something that you’d do in key stage 1. We weren’t taught how to teach a skill, the lecturers either assumed we already knew how or didn’t bother telling us and then expected us to teach other people. The marking of essays was all over the place/feedback was contradictory. Most lecturers just read off the PowerPoint for 3/4 hours which was really tedious. I lived at home and it took me 2 hours to get to uni and if a lecture started at 9, I would be early, yet most lecturers waited till everyone arrived which was often 9.20-9.30 and they lived on campus. No help/prep for PGCE interviews.
Amazing university, with social spaces and jobs at the university for students
