When I first got given Mary Morris house I was a bit sceptical because I had never heard of it, but do not let this put you off. This accommodation is 100% the best value for money, it looks like a house inside and the sofas and TV in the flat meant we could socialise easily and we often had movie nights. Everyone I met in Mary Morris was really nice, although the layout of the flats on separate levels does make it harder to meet people. Regular parties here and JB is really close. If you are sporty there are running trails and a gym very close by. I think the only real issue is that it is quite far from university, but closer than accommodations like Lupton and Oxley. The buses are also £1.30 so quite cheap to get into university. Wouldn’t stress about the shared bathrooms as everyone does their bit and cleans it - 2 bathrooms, one for girls and one for boys. Otley run on the doorstep, and lots of pubs and coffee shops in Headingley. I would recommend Mary Morris over any other accom.

I lived there 22 years ago. Quite cheap, good facilities and peaceful surroundings. Loved living there.
Love living here every flat is unique and different and none of them look like grim student housing big comfy sofas and lovely decorating with quirky mirrors and lampshades I love living here and personally don’t mind the lack of warden or authority however it is fairly lawless and self contained not too far from uni but is a bit of a pain if am just going in for an hour or so Overall love it but it’s privately owned so you can’t rely on the uni to sort out your problems such as maintenance
Great decor, but no communal spaces (except for picnic benches outside). No cleaning service, but plenty supplies are given (vacuum cleaner, mop ect).
Insanely cheap and the best halls ive been in. Awesome common room, social experience second to none. Shame its getting knocked down!
Very poor internet quality, more often no internet at all...
By far contributed to the best year of my life. Fantastic warden (especially Lewis) who'll do anything to help you- great communal space; brilliant value for money. So sad to see the place close in June.
