White Rose View is ideally located In Leeds with Leeds Beckett University a mere five-minute walk away and the University of Leeds a ten-minute walk away. All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Lovely accomodation with really good connection to the uni and inner city, it’s kept in good condition with any cleaning issues sorted very timely and well done by Diane and her other co worker. They have multiple events on throughout the year which offer free food or drinks, social events and competitions, there’s never nothing to do. The gym facilities could be better but they have all the basic equipment and is open 24/7 which is nice. The laundry app is easy and convenient to use and things can be posted directly to the accomodation which is useful

Really lovely staff, lots of opportunities for communal events (film nights, crafts, video game competitions etc), facilities are clean, modern and in a great location (three grocery stores- Morrisons, Tesco and Co-Op- in a five minute radius, Beckett and Leeds campuses 10-20 minutes' walk, feels very safe at night), whenever I report issues they are fixed that day, and just generally an amazing place to live.

definitely not worth the money. great location, but somewhere like henry price is closer and more social. rooms are always freezing. there was construction outside my flat that started at 7:30am six days a week, and the builders would look in peoples windows. the kitchen is nice and easy enough to keep clean, but not very cosy.

This is my fourth year in white rose. My opinion in staying here was the location, and easy access to bus stops and train station. Having my own space has been great too as it has its perks for example, private bathroom, own space compared to living in a shared house

Staff are amazing and supportive. Security is on point, e.g. non-residents can’t go in and if you have visitors, they check in on you. When you submit noise complaints, it gets resolved asap. And don’t get me started with the amazing location! Just straight across from the building you have the merion shopping centre, which has all the things you need; grocery and restaurants. McDonald’s is just less than a 5min walk! All these perks so make sure you budget your money and don’t overspend!

I have been in White Rose View for about a year. Every time when I’m working for my PhD in the study room, Sam, Diane, and a lady would give me a welcoming greeting with a smile, which cheers me up for a heavy load of works. Staffs in the reception centre are quite amazing and warm-hearted. I really appreciate everyone who devoted their time and efforts to help establish the entire White Rose View as a lovely place to stay.

The location is amazing, I love being close to the mall which has everything we need. The staff are all nice and friendly!

I enjoy living at White Rose View and appreciate the size of the kitchen. WiFi is annoying sometimes and I would say that catching the lift it's more likely than not that one is out of order. But generally excellent experience and the staff are very kind and helpful.

It's a good environment, it's in a good location, it's convenient, there's a supermarket downstairs, it's close to school.

The kitchens are really big and spacious and a great size for the number of flat members. Rooms are small but have great storage

Amazing location with access to most places a student needs. social spaces are very well kept and providing a good range of places. staff are always very helpful and present at reception when needed
Most of the stay has been good, receptionists we’re brilliant however nothing ever gets fixed which lead to a window falling on my head and me being rushed to hospital, the maintainence is awful and gave me a bad head injury

I think its geographical location is very convenient, it is very convenient for me to travel, and the internal public facilities are sufficient. The only problem is that the room is a little small.

Amazing location, everything is near. One thing I can criticise is the fact that many of the facilities; cinema room and karaoke room are not in use and/or broken. The staff manage well, however maintenance had taken a while of asking before something was done about the issue in my flat

Aesthetically its really nice, across the road from a shopping centre so you can get everything you need quite quickly. There's a parcel locker so you don't have to go to reception (unless its too big). Everywhere is cleaned regularly (except for inside the rooms), but they clean the kitchen floor and hallway during the holidays. I didn't use the common room a lot but it is a very nice space, the study rooms were very useful for group projects. The wifi is sometimes iffy which is annoying but that's usually down to the company they use and not the residence itself. I'm quite shy so I only went to a couple of flat parties but they were shut down by security because of noise complaints half the time, even during freshers which was a bit annoying.
Sociability: - Not social. Solely due to the fact if how the flats are put in place. Internet: - Really good Rooms: -Alright. Don't really get what you pay for imo. Maybe if you get put on the top floors then I think it would be -Small, especially compared to other accoms that are cheaper - Good amount of story space - S*** heater. Turns off every 5 mins - Kitchens great. Spacious. Good amount of space. - Doesn't come with tv tho. - Location is spectacular - largely due to the fact that its seconds away from city centre

White rose view is an unreal accommodation, the rooms are very cosy and modern, kitchens are massive & there’s plenty of cupboard for everyone. I moved from central village to white rose and you get so much more for your money with having the study rooms, cinema room & common room. It’s such a sociable building and there’s always something going on here. Location is perfect, practically in the city centre so perfect for bars and night clubs & only a 10 min walk to the uni campus, couldn’t recommend enough!!

Very modern and nice accom, there’s lots of rooms here which means loads of people to get to know and the common room really allows for this. Amazing location, better than all the other uni of leeds halls based on location, and will be even better when clubs ect reopen
really nice flat and kitchen space, perfect location so close to all of the shops and bars. has a gym and cinema room etc but not been able to use them a lot due to corona virus.
