It's amazing. The uni has a friendly culture
UoE is a great choice in any aspects and I love it.
Lovely city to study in- the Dome is a particular highlight
It's a good university, but disability service is not the best, unfortunately.
campus are great and study is bad
The most wonderful university in the UK
Pretty good experience! I can make friends here, people are nice too
Friendly staff nice vibe good ambience
Lecturers are professionals in their field and understand the correct approach to teaching
Part 2 - During the building works they also blocked off half of the building, which did not allow us access to the washing machines till late at night. This caused a huge disruption to my schedule. We attempted to get these issues solved with the staff, all apart from George weren’t helpful at all. We continued to be woken up from the works at 7-9pm everyday. The staff also treated our home as theirs, welcoming them selves into our flat and knocking on all our doors to have a discussion with us in the kitchen. When the works were to be carried out in our flats, they tried to chuck us out to live in another flat, when viewing this flat it was not cleaned at all and filled with flies and rubbish. Despite how cheap this accommodation is, it is not worth saving your money . The whole experience caused me depression and anxiety constantly throughout the stay, minimising my potential at university - as a law student my degree needs a lot of attention and I could not maintain it in this acom
Very beautiful campus, walking through them and feeling the heritage.
good service and have lots of activity
Everything is good. The location is convenient, and the staff is always happy to help.
Not quite engaged in university activities so no special comments on it.
I'm in my 2nd year and so far the amenities are great, lots of study spaces to self-study or have a group study.
The uni is very diverse but is lacking personalised facilities outside of studies. With a gym that is outside out costly international fees and societies that are very expensive, there is a noticeable disparity between different financial classes.
It has been a good experience & helpful staff
Hope there will be less strikes and more satisfactory wages for stuff
It's been good I've enjoyed it
Good University, feels worth the money
Overall good university, as a postgrad I don’t know much about the other parts of it
Good campus to study on and attend classes
Love Edinburgh university and the course that I am on.
Big campus for the capital city of Scotland. Love the surroundings and the amount of green spaces, as well as fresh air quality and low traffic. Very good living condition. But, some facilities are not really well-equipped or spaced enough. Such as by having a microwave in every cafe in Central could improve traffic and usage of facilities to its potential e.g. 50 GS cafe, 40 GS social study space, Quad cafe. Moreover, some facilities like the Main Library is overcrowded but there are no alternatives given with the same amount of equipments are not in par. Another issue is that Edinburgh has a housing issue, which is very concerning for international students that does not have guarantors. Some study space as well as lecture halls does not have enough chargers or none at all, making it hard to utilise electronic devices for more efficiency.
good uni could use improvement on careers service
The location is insanely good. I can basically walk to anywhere in the city center within 25 mins and only need less than 10 mins to get ready for uni.
The humanities facilities are all ideal. The library is a good study place, though hard to find a seat during exam season. Cheap food and drinks in the uni cafes.
I love Edinburgh University College of Art. It’s like someone decided they were going to make a school where they taught only fun things and what you got out of the experience was actually beneficial to real life after Uni. I used to fear work in the future separate from University but the way that my course is taught and the environment that it is given in has already provided me with enough confidence that my job won’t rule me instead I can make the rules doing what I love.
Honestly, there’s so much to do and I’m never bored.
Never run out of things to do. Societies are all very welcoming.
University is nice. All staff are friendly, lots of activities to do
Really love the nucleus at the kings buildings and eduroam all around the city
Beautiful architecture and helpful staff.
Edinburgh Uni is my favorite, from the campus to the activities, there is so much to discover all while learning in such beautiful buildings with a diverse student body!
Beautiful prestigious university, they just don’t offer enough support for people moving into second year private rented accommodation
Kind staff and comfortable service
Great university and facilities
I love living here. Every time I met issues the reception can help me resolve it directly. Fully appreciate their help and enthusiasm
Really good, definitely love it
It is a good place and i like it
The staff are very friendly and always helpful!
I have enjoyed my time at the University. I feel supported and privileged to study here.
Fab experience, however the student accommodation is so limited
The wifi is lost in the wider areas which i'm not sure how that could be improved
Nice receptionists, always there when needed. Corridors always clean.
amazing staff ,especially from the reception center, they are so polite ,help me out of trouble .They deserve to have higher salary .100per cent satisfaction! It is great to be a resident here.
it has been a really amazing experience so far
Wifi could be faster and there could be more study spaces as the libraries are often crowded. Besides that, beautiful campus and great teachers and tutors.
perfect place for science and engineering students at the University of Edinburgh due to its locations, its literally like a 7-10 minute walk to the heart of the King's Building campus. The rooms are great, the administration is great and they host various event every month within the property as well, such as Movie nights etc I loved my experience and would highly recommend it
Personally, I haven’t had any negative experiences with the uni yet and I hope it continues that way !
wifi is temperamental but overall a good experience so far
good university i’ve enjoyed my stufies
good as I imagined education is serious
The cafe is lively and organised, with quick service and plenty of options. There could be more indoor places to sit to enjoy your own food, but otherwise a great Campus.
I've enjoyed my time here so far- not much to complain about!
Great university with lovely teachers and staff !
Campus life is fun, but I often stay indoors so I don’t know much
Great facilities, excellent service, friendly staff and a great cultural and academic atmosphere.
WiFi works very well, however the course arrangement is quite confusing, cuz the course takes place in different locations and they are far from each other.
I’v been living here for more than one month so far, the service and conditions here are very good. I also like all of you in the reception, thank you for your kindness and care.
The internet is not that stable which is a little bothering but the rest is so far so good
I love the city and I am enjoying my life here. The teaching team is lovely and you can have great experiences in the campus buildings.
Love the University of Edinburgh! The campus is not only stunning with its historic buildings and vibrant atmosphere but also equipped with modern facilities that enhance the overall learning experience. The professors are passionate and knowledgeable, creating an engaging environment for academic growth. I am truly grateful for my time at the University of Edinburgh and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch education and a memorable university life.
I love Uni,It‘s all good,I meet lot of friends!
Very friendly and social university. Campus is beautiful and makes students feel like home away from home. Social activities are taking very seriously and no matter how niche your hobbies are, you’ll find an organized body with similar interests.
Living in 200 Cowgate is wonderful since the location is good and it’s convenient to do almost everything: near to the Royal Mile, near to the university, and lots of stores nearby. There is free breakfast every month and the staff are all warm and kind.
I love it here :) The city is so beautiful and the university provides so much support for international students. They take complaints seriously and do their best to ensure we feel safe and comfortable.
I love The University of Edinburgh.
Nice academic experience and student development program
University of Edinburgh is a dream school for me and now it is finally my school! It is so good to be a student I university of Edin
The University of Edinburgh is such a great institution for students from all around the world cause their professor team are amazing and professional. They are very friendly and always encourage us whatever we do or speak. It is quite inspirational cause, as a Taiwanese student, we do really need some encouragement when we’re learning some brand new things. So I’m really happy that I chose to study here:)
Universitetin central areası şəhərin mərkəzində yerləşir which is fine. The professors are really helpful. A huge shout out to the Student Development Team as well who helped us focus on our personal and professional growth during the studies.
Overall the campus feels like a high school, it is quite far away from anything, social life is difficult unless you live in campus
Nice place nice uni nice people
Love the university - campus is stunning, student life is interactive and fulfilling, and course lecturers/tutors are incredible. Communication between students and support should be a bit faster and more efficient, and staff ought to be properly compensated for their labor.
Plentiful facilities, ample opportunities, very international friendly and welcoming society
Its good innit really good great teaching!
The university offers a wide range of services, from studies to sports and society clubs, that helps enhancing students' life while at university
Amazing city, would recommend the school of informatics. The classes and tutorials are amazing
There is no doubt that this is a Top university.
University of Edinburgh is a good university.
Teachers are really nice. Welcome week was amazing and I'm looking forward to my stay here.
I am really appreciate everything:)
Good good good good good good good
Location of main campus is very central and Kings campus may be further out but there are plenty of regular buses including the free uni shuttle bus. Good facilities in and around campus particularly the Nucleus (in kings campus) - the food there is lovely! Good study spaces, however during exam season it very busy and hard to find a place. Overall a pretty good university.
I have to say it’s challenging to study here as the workload for study is really really hard. But you can also learn a lot after the tough time.
I had an amazing experience at the University of Edinburgh. The professors are really helpful. A huge shout out to the Student Development Team as well who helped us focus on our personal and professional growth along with the course work.
I came here to study pre-sessional class and I hope I can pass the course. That means I am able to do my master degree in Edinburgh. I think the learning environment here is really helpful for me to study.
there are some locations where Wi-Fi isn't present, the lecture hall positioning is very convenient to get to and most common use rooms will be easy to find, however, some rooms are referred only to their abbreviations or in a building with 50 ish sections isn't generally well navigation able.
Good university with good teaching staff
It's a good university when it comes to the amenities, but the grand intake of foreign students that do not speak a word of English has a harmful impact on people's learning. I would've loved my time if I could've actually had proper conversations during seminars and group sessions. The buildings are super cold during winter months (especially Old College) and the main library has rats, but other than that it's not too bad. The libraries, especially the law library, are good places to study and have proper resources.
I study in the school of Economics for master. I really think our professors and tutors are responsible. The facilities are advance. You can find a place to study either alone or with your group mates.
The university staffs are not really responsible for student future support work
I'm only here for 5 weeks in the summer! The facilities all seem to be nice, but there's not as much student life because a lot people are gone for the summer. It's nice though.
I am grateful for the wonderful services afforded to us students
School teachers, students are very good, the school facilities are very perfect, campus activities are often held. A variety of clubs and career planning help students develop in a well-rounded way.
Generally speaking, it does have a wide range of societies but tends to become cliquey very quickly
All kinds of services are good and there are many shops at South Bridge for students who live here to go. It is very convenient!
great uni facilities. Need more student canteens or places to eat on campus
very good school to study !!!!
