I have lived in Gateway Apartments for the whole duration (5years) of my studies. Firstly, the management is so friendly and supportive and care about the students experience and wellbeing. They always try to find ways to make our experience better, whether that is by hosting events, having disney+ subscription in the cinema room for us to use and more! The room itself (studio) is spacious and modern, great for a student. Overall, an amazing experience would recommend!!

This is my second here living here. I have absolutely no complaints. The team goes over and above to make sure we’re satisfied. Facilities are always clean and tidy. Everything works as it should. I plan on living here for thé rest of my studies. From everything I’ve heared from friends and fellow students, this must be one of the best student accommodations in Edinburgh!

Beyond being conveniently located and a really pretty and comfortable place to stay, what really shines is how Taylor, Dave and Steve run a super tight ship. They're always ready to lend a helping hand and keep things up to date and fixed. They're communicative, friendly and prompt, but they're also do their best to be flexible and figure things out well.

The price is a bit expensive. Internet seems not working all the time I'm not sure if it is only my problem. There is no security station at the building after office hour. Considering the amount of money I pay each month I don't think it is worthy.

The staff here are amazing and great. They are understanding and really kind to everyone. The rooms are fantastic with safety checks. My most thanks to Taylor and Steven, the staff at the reception, especially Taylor, who has done so much for me during my difficult time, and has been just so helpful. I can't imagine how worse my condition could have been without their understanding and so many support. I'll also miss the lovely cat. Thank you so much and good luck!

the apartment has a good location. The common areas in the reception are good. Although it's close to the street, it's quieter than I'd expect.

The Gateway Apartment is suitable for student to live as it is near the city center. I would like to recommend it to my friends as it is really worth the price to live in a studio apartment and also the social experience is great.

Good location for shopping and eating. Have close bus stop to go to the university. Very quiet and clean environment for living with a big common room and a small gym. Nice and friendly receptionists for help.

I enjoyed my year at Gateway apartments. The staff are very friendly, and helped me with lots of things over the year. I am leaving next year to live with some friends, but I would definitely consider coming back to Gateway, seeing as the standard is quite good. Cheers, Alex

I’ve had some problems with management but the team has since switched and seems to be more on top of things. Other than that this place is good although mostly international students and not the most social.

Although my stay was mostly lead by the lockdown and the local regulations i still loved my stay. I was extraordinarily welcomed by the staff who helped me throughout my stay. Although at some point my room seemed a bit small, the shared spaces in the flat and the quality of social spaces helped to change my scenery. The only issue is the price of the sets offered to furnish the room or kitchen appliances... Too many towels, a stone bathroom bin, very high quality which is unecessary for a "short" stay... However, if you stay for a while, thats perfect and you won't regret it as it is still very convenient ...! It is perfrectly located with buses 2 minutes away max and it only takes 20 to reach Princes Street by foot. Convenient, warm and new, you'll enjoy your stay !

I have been living here for more than a year now and I would stay for longer. The staff is really amazing, super nice, supportive and always happy to help. The accommodation is located near the city centre (walking distance) with access to the airport by bus and tram. I really like Calton Hill which is 2 minutes walk from the location. The staff also organised (before the pandemic) socials, so that was a good opportunity to meet other students.

Really nice, spacious studios with excellent heating, tap water is sufficiently warm and the water in the shower becomes hot instantly. The place was well cleaned when I first moved in and the hallways and common area are kept clean as well. Lots of storage space with beautiful full-length windows, so the room is always brightly lit. The team tries their best to arrange virtual social activities even in these trying times, and the staff are very friendly and helpful as well. All in all a great experience, would highly recommend renting from them!

The moment I stepped into my room I felt great! Going to study abroad is a big deal and especially during a global pandemic. Having such a nice studio with an amazing view made me feel good and home during the self-isolation. The location is perfect, not near the Uni but a perfect walking distance and beautiful too! David, Lindsay and Brian made me feel welcome and helped me with many queries. They came up with activities during these weird times where you can win some cool stuff! Unfortunately, the gym was not always open due to the restrictions. I think the price quality ratio is okay.

The flats are new and not great value for money. Although, not the closest to the University of Edinburgh, the location was still pretty good with a lot of transport options and many shops in the area. There was little social life with residents and if you wanted friends there, you would have to find them in the city or on campus. The Wi-Fi routinely disconnected and often for a couple of hours, but once a full day. The cell signal is terrible so if there is no wi-fi you are often bored inside or have to go outside to get reception. They did not even offer to refund some of the money if students wanted to leave early because of Covid, although in Scotland, a months notice is all that is required to leave. Furthermore, they reduced their services. Rooms weren't clean on arrival but don't bother cleaning because they will still charge you to do basically nothing. I found food from the last tenant, so they definitely did not clean well. Would not recommend.
