Ratings and Reviews
The location is convenient and there are many supermarkets nearby. It is also close to Moray House School. The environment is clean and tidy, with wooden floors instead of carpets, which makes it easy to clean. It is also friendly to people with allergies. The heating and hot water are sufficient, so you won't get cold. Highly recommended! If there were more washing machines, it would be even better!

world-class uni with big international population and friendly community. management is sometimes disorganised but there’s a good number of events throughout the year. campus is gorgeous and in a great location
Free schedule, friendly students and supportive staff.
All the staff are really friendly and supportive. The WiFi is excellent and I enjoy feeling at home in my room and I’ve made loads of new friends
Really enjoying this uni so far, even though in the exam stage
What I like best is the teachers in my school, because I can always get useful help from them.
I love to cook in my room and all the staff are very friendly and the landscape
Thank you everyone at reception
My university provides a supportive and creative environment for learning. The teachers are passionate, and the facilities are excellent, which helps me grow both academically and personally.

I love staying here. All the staff are friendly and helpful
Both the learning atmosphere and the teacher's level are very good. I can improve my academic level and carry out career planning here.
A good accommodation with convenient position and supermarkets nearby. The only problem is the unstable network (can be solved by connecting with network cable :D Demi and Jennifer on reception are very helpful and make the building feel like home
Amazing university with some of the world’s best professors! I’ve felt so at home there and have never ending support from the staff, teachers, and other students.

The uni is as welcoming as the city.
Great price, kind and helpful staff. It's great to be able to rent such a great house so close to KB.

Its a nice place to experience Scottish culture, weather, and learn about the subjects you are interested in
great university. Informed lecturers and good cleanliness
Readings tend to be more helpful than those tutorials.
Great uni, good course options, beautiful city
Great uni with top academic standards, well organised and helpful personal and academic support, great transport provision, great merchandise and top student experience.
Good experiences and good university
This is a great place to stay! The service is humanized and the facilities are complete.
It’s alright nice location and people
The wifi is so fast and the career service is also great which they always have something to offer in every week, whether it is a workshop, a talk show or a career day. For societies and clubs I can’t really tell because I am not participating in any of those yet.
Edinburgh Uni is known for its beautiful campus, being located at the heart of the city. While there definitely are a variety of libraries and other study spaces available for students, it is important to know that the quality of facilities depends on your school, as some have much more space and better study space availability than others. The quality of the faculty is great, and there is a vast variety of course and degree options, which really lets you make the most of your studies. Student accommodation is good, but after your first year you will no longer be guaranteed a place, and finding a private flat in Edinburgh can be quite challenging. There are always many events and society meet ups you can attend, and they are definitely a great way of meeting lovely people!
Overall, I love my study experience at the University of Edinburgh. However, the downsides are that it was super expensive to join sports clubs (especially if I don't plan on participating frequently) and the events organised by the students union do not particularly cater to students who do not attend parties.
Beautiful campus. Lots of greens and affordable bus tickets. Too windy and the weather can get really harsh in winter.
The teachers and staff are amazing. Although I had to take my time to adjust to the new environment and culture the teachers and the staff of my school made sure I feel comfortable and safe. I made great friends.
I just have to say how much I love living at Gateway Apartment. The location is perfect—just a quick walk to campus makes it super easy to get to class or grab a coffee with friends. Plus, there are plenty of grocery stores and parks nearby, which is a big plus for daily life. The apartment itself is really nice. I’ve got a spacious room with lots of natural light and a kitchen that’s great for cooking. The common areas, like the lounge and study rooms, are perfect for hanging out or getting some work done with roommates. What really sets Gateway apart is the community vibe. The management team is friendly and always ready to help out if you need anything. They also organize events that bring everyone together, which has helped me make a lot of great friends. I also feel safe here, thanks to the secure access and good security measures. Overall, living at Gateway has been a fantastic experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay while studying.
The staff is so nice, and living here is so convenient and comfortable
The location is convenient and there are many supermarkets nearby. It is also close to Moray House School. The heating and hot water are sufficient, so you won't get cold. Highly recommended! If there were more washing machines, it would be even better!
The apartment is very nice and quiet. The neighborhood is convenient for transportation and shopping. It's a ten-minute walk to Princes Street. The front desk of the apartment is very friendly and often organizes events and parties with free breakfast, pizza and more. It is also very convenient to sign for express delivery, and the front desk staff will help to put several express deliveries of the same person into categories and put them away, which is very convenient for me to find.
New facilities here is unique compared with other accommodations. Good gym with various facilities.
It’s good! The environment is very beautiful
The campus is beautiful and just a bit out of the heart of the city
maybe better to hold more orientation event in each college

Great experience here. Nice staff and wonderful room!
Tired but worth it. Teachers are professional and kind.
This is a fantastic explanation!
The teaching quality is okay. However, the university does not look as a community.
Great faculty, tremendous activities
First year studying economics.
The environment is nice, lots of study spaces
Overall, it is a very good study. The school facilities are very good and the learning atmosphere is strong. Except for some courses that are relatively unreasonable.
Good university if you ignore their attitude toward their accommodation and tenants.
There are quite many events going on every month, and you won't get disrupted when studying here. Just that the Wifi is a big problem here. People have been complaining about the Wifi issue for two semesters and it still hasn't been solved.
I hope the uni contiues to help staff from having a nice work environment.
The University of Edinburgh has been very welcoming for an international student in a postgraduate program.
The school campus is large, well-equipped, and the green management is very good. The learning atmosphere is strong. I like my university very much.

Amazing school, love it so much
Everything is great, though the kings campus could have more soace and better options for food
There are a lot of shared rooms, where you can eat and socialize with other students. The study rooms are perfect if you want to study in silence for a lot of hours in the day .
great university with a good social side
The univeristy is really nice and challenging. The staff is really supportive
This is a really good university with lots of opportunities
Very good university. Great facilities
Edinburgh is an amazing place to be if you are good at taking initiative. It is a huge university with an immense amount of opportunities and has truly fostered my growth over these last four years. Sometimes this can be overwhelming, but again, if you manage to put yourself out there enough, there are so many pluses to the student experience here!

Student support amazing, and campuses great
very worth of money good place close to university
The WIFI is good everywhere in campus.
The University is ok, but nothing special, and definitely not what it’s advertised to be in terms of its prestige. For what I study (computer science) I personally wouldn’t recommend it, but other degrees might be better.
university is nice, my experiences with the teachers and the teaching system is questionable
