Great experience overall. Very exciting to be able to engage with like minded peers.
Good experience with the univeristy with professional lecturers always willing to help when needed. Staff outside of curricular activities has also been very helpful.
The life at university is good. Environment is friendly and every volunteer at the hub is cooperative
Overall, a great university. Good facilities and staff are very friendly.
I am a physiotherapy student, I like the AG building very much, comfortable environment for Study Experienced lecturer, multi cultural learning atmosphere
Great university with great facilities!
It is a welcoming university with a lot of technical and personal support. It has beautiful facilities and the students are very friendly.
Really gud university strong recommend it
nice reception service good room environment
Open university, perfect courses for my ideal career
Everything is ok but maybe sometimes teachers can reply faster
My year in uni so far has been online so i cant say much about it
it is an amazing uni with great lecturers. you will love it here.
It’s an outstanding University! The lecturers are knowledgeable, kind, understanding and they respond to queries shockingly fast and passionately with clarity. The student support is awesome, every question I had and asked has been answered clearly, the people are great, the community is awesome, and the provision for student’s educationally and otherwise is outstanding.
Lovely accommodation. The rooms are comfortable and the place is quite close to everything. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an accommodation in Coventry
Great university environment, variety of clubs and societies available which is great for socialising.
The services were alright. As an international student, the international office really dropped the ball in many ways. I arrived in the country with no communication regarding how to proceed. I have mostly been in the dark due to the pandemic, which no one at the school knew how to handle. Most of the teachers were awful at responding to me. Basically, i could have just read a couple of textbooks and learned just as much. Was of money aside from the piece of paper at the end that says I got my Master's.
They have made the transition to online classes easy and have been very understanding of the covid-19 situation :)
Classmates are very sociable. Supervisors are happy to develop students with all they can give.
The university does have a lot of helpful facilities and before the pandemic it was a lot more easier to communicate with lectures or seek help/advice
Great university with excellent laboratories and academic staff.
Science building really modern and perfect for my degree
I spent really valuable time in Coventry and I enjoy it very much. The university was so responsible even during this COVID-19 difficult time.
Can’t say much about this as I haven’t been in due to Covid but from what I know it’s not as bad as some people make it out to be. Teachers are very friendly and helpful if you go out your way to ask for help and try from your side as well
Great facilities and lecturers
Really good accomodation . Would def recommend
Its ok, they have really struggled with communication and stuff recentl6
I like the club been into basketball and the building overall is nice been enjoying being over there.
Great uni other than all the due rules due to covid
Great university and good value for money
Good general facilities such as the hub and the library. Can’t comment too much on courses as it’s subjective to each department, my experience with the Health and Life Sciences department has been fairly good. Although the graduate services don’t really offer too much in terms of graduate opportunities/placements, it all things you could easily find yourself.
Coventry university is a great place to learn and find job opportunities
People in the university are nice.
I’ve graduated from Coventry university and now I am studying towards my MA here too! I highly recommend choosing Coventry University. In my experience studying Interior Architecture and Design and now Interior Design, the lecturers and tutors are amazing and go above and beyond.
Coventry University is a great university with excellent facilities and amazing faculty staff
Good communication throughout.
It’s my first time in Coventry and we’ve only course, so I don’t really know what to say but my teachers are really kind. We talk like if we were friends. I’m from Belgium and in Belgium you don’t talk like this to your teachers.
I have had the worst experience with the University- please if you are considering attending this University, consider somewhere else! I have studied at 2 other Universities and they truly put CU to shame. The staff at Coventry University are rude, unsympathetic and there is very little support. This being said, despite the staff who let the University down the lecturers are friendly and great in what they do. Avoid at all costs students unless you want problem after problem and no support.
I am satisfied with my choice, I met great people and I hope I will be able to meet them face to face again
I have enjoyed my time at Coventry University it has been a very good experience
Very nice university and helpful for future.
Lovely place for students. It is close to the city centre as well as being in a private area, meaning no disturbances. Rooms are lovely as well as other communal areas. Staff are very friendly, helpful, caring and very beautiful. Would recommend.
Good university and the student unions are good in sharing students voices and making sure most problems are heard .
as CU Coventry student I do confirm high standard provided and satisfaction. Campus is modern, cozy and you can possibly find everything you as a student might need or want. Quality of education really depends on which teacher you will have, but that is a matter or luck.
very disappointed with customer service. Registry is the worst team ever! never respond to queries. very bad experience. I wish I had never chose that uni
Looking forward to exploring more opportunities
I’ve enjoyed my experience so far and look forward to more opportunities.
Campus is nice and teachers will help
Specifically Auto & Transport Design. Used to be a great course with great tutors and regarded as one of the best. Now it's lost its prestige and tutors are just picked by who is retired or cheap. Always last minute with things like timetables, tutorial times or useful information for deadlines in general. In general you end up learning more from other students than the actual tutors. Saying that there's max 3 tutors that do their best and I wish they'd teach at a better university because this one doesn't deserve them. The industry is slowly losing interest in the university, purely because the quality of work is no longer to the standard. This makes finding placements/jobs hard but Clare helps amazingly. She's magic. In terms of facilities, they are useable. Good enough for the level of work and effort put into the course. Almost feels like the university forgot they had this course, as they were spending millions on a sports science and two engineering buildings.
modern and nice and helpful staff. I enjoyed my tiime living here and met some super cool people. students pubs around the campus were chill.
it's okay. careers service lacking ngl.
Study inn accommodation : Old, dark room, uncomfortable bed, sofa broken, worst desk chair ever, house keeping once 1 month, the fire alarm test every week scares me every time, tooooo many doors, otherwise staff are friendly.
great university, ranking depends on course but was great for mine
Coventry University is a great experience for me as international student. Every working person there helped to make the experience the best for international students.
Very nice and got a lot of sport and activities.
Many classrooms has no WiFi and signal, it’s so bad
it was an excellent experience
the university is really good and staff are helpful
Supportive and excellent teaching staff. The students union arranges various extra curricular activities for students and also take measures to keep students mentallu fit.
University is fine with the system wish they can do more to help us when it comes to graduating and support during this time for looking for jobs
I used to check reviews online about cov uni before coming and i honestly don’t know why i didn’t believe how s*** of a school this is. They’ve basically left us alone during this coronavirus pandemic, lecturers never reply messages, the university isn’t helping in any way to make things easier for the students, anyone marks your coursework and gives ya rubbish grades (some people get marked high even when they don’t include some info and people get marked really low when they follow course work brief) worst part is you can’t even appeal your grades. Everything seemed okay at first, but this pandemic just showed how s*** the uni is. Btw you need to make sure your masters course is accredited cos a lot of them aren’t. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE
Good experience Helpful staff
The uni is such a sham and very "corporate" feeling with none of the glamour. Coventry is so boring as a city. I got so sick of students hired in TheHub who are often totally fed up and smarmy when it comes to their job. Also the students union just sits around and twiddles their thumbs all day.
fabulous, unless you're lgbtq, then you're not welcome
i have loved my experience at the Coventry university and cannot wait for another year
my time that the Coventry university has been an experience to remember and i cannot wait for another year!
Great student accommodation in city center, close to shops public transport and restaurants. Lovely, helpful staff. Amazing facilities-gym, study rooms room service. I would recommend it to anybody.
It's ok, student hub and library are nice
Unforgettable memories, I look forward to still having the opportunity to return to Coventry to see the city I have struggled with in the future.
Can't comment on other courses, but happy to recommend for engineering. Very good teaching, good facilities, very supportive staff. Students' union is useless, but some good societies.
I’ve had a great experience with my university so far! Everything is so close by, library has been refurbished and has an amazing science building!
Fantastic experience for my first year of university.
Coventry university is considered one of the top universities in the UK. Master's experience , before COVID-19, was lovely especially with the help of the professors and lecturers.
absolute worst dint enjoy my time at all
eh it's average. campus culture extremely soulless and corporate. students union kind of just... existed and the careers service got me nowhere as they had nothing available in our department most of the time. met some decent people at socs though.
The university is very good and is an upcoming student city, a very nice place to study
Pretty good, course is all in all helpful and engaging. Very good facilities (library, hub ect)
rip off university with professors that do the bare minimum. stay clear!
Ive really enjoyed my time at Coventry uni
Pitifully boring and dull just like Coventry itself.
modern but nothing much more than the costa and starbucks really going on in the buildings. quids inn is nice and the city has a couple of cool places like fargo. not much going on otherwise unless you hop on a train to birmingham.
awful just awful. the professors have no clue about organisation and are absent and difficult to get a hold of all the time, especially via email. we got stood up on 4 lessons by one of the lecturers. and everyone in the class just puts up with it and doesn't raise their voice. i feel like i'm stuck with sheeple haha. quids inn is nice though and the city has a couple of cool places. not much going on otherwise unless you hop on a train to birmingham.
ONE OF THE WORST UNIVERSITIES IN UK, all they are good at is marketing themselves to international students to make as much money as possible. They do not teach at all, campus in London is horrible in a rented space and teachers don't give af about students (except a few). All they care about is that you pay your fees on time. Teachers would enter the class and tell the students to "discuss within their own groups for assignments" which is highly unacceptable considering the amount they are charging. One of our teachers would just enter the class and sit and chat for 2 hours with students about their country and his own, other teachers would enter the class, open up a case study on the projector screen and tell you to solve it without even teaching about it. Another thing they care about is attendance, They won't teach but they expect you to show up every day just to sit around in class so it feels like a university. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
Coventry university is an all round ok school. I enjoyed my course and met a few good friends.
This is a review on the coventry university global mba business course. (summary, dont bother) Honestly coventry university global mba business course is a joke and a scam!! You are better off going to other universities and perhaps paying a bit more for a real MBA course. The course is taught by phd students or lecturers that actually have no clue on practical things to do with their topics, it is simply academic theories and some more academic theories that would not make it past week 2 of an undergraduate program in a major university. They easily lure in international students, then just teach them basic academic theories which makes me question what they would teach undergrads if this is what is taught in an mba. If you have any idea on business, or have worked previously you will be extremely frustrated by the course content as you know none of it is applicable in real life. I thought I would save a few people on here of their £16000 so that they dont waste time and money
Decent. There needs to be more support in regards to postgraduate study. Some lecturers will never reply to your emails. Library is too small for the amount of people here, you euther leave at the crack of dawn or you wont get a seat. The staff at the information point in the hub are rude and have so much attitude when you ask a question. Lecture halls need a revamp and a new coat of paint.
The campus is undergoing major renovation so there is a lot of construction going on and the sound of it does interfere with lectures. Food is expensive, there are no disposable cups available to use on the water fountains and the toilets I've used have been filthy and smelly. Haven't joined any clubs as I'm there to learn, not pay for memberships to participate in activities an hour away from home. Wi-Fi is advertised, however it rarely works.
Awesome quality in everything the school has got going on.
I have good experience in school and student are really nice.
the campus is nice and the facilities are good
Great uni with lots of great facilities and a large library.
The Coventry University is very organized and helps students a lot. The campous is large and it has perfect location, near the Coventry City Centre.

Is a good Uni I can study what i’m passionate at so I am glad that I am here.
Brilliant uni Only in my first year but so far has been the best educational experience of my life
The facilities in the Health and Sciences building are excellent. However, there is very little support to get through the social aspect of University life. Adult bullying is rife among 18-25-year-old students, with peer-groups segregating and separating themselves, icing-out others, and by creating factions with a gang-like mentality. Some blatantly generating hostility and spreading salacious put-downs in order to better their own social standing and thus create a situation under their control. Group-work is tense and difficult because communication is broken down between peers over divided-loyalties. Teachers have very little power to stop this behaviour and in some cases, by being "down with the kids," are actively contributing to the bullying problem at Coventry University.
This university receives an unfair reputation that stems from Coventry City’s own reputation- but both are outdated and no longer apply. The university is modern and deserves much more recognition than it gets
•4 good lecturers left leaving us with TA in final year of Criminology. One taught us the module wrong so we didn’t know how to write the assignment. •Uni Private house was advertised 15 mins away from uni (walk). Was 45 minutes away. •Dissertation tutors didn’t respond to emails and weren’t helpful. •Some lecturers never responded to emails and apologised when were told they didn’t. Said they’ll respond straight away but never did. •Group work - 4 members, 2 left 3 days before the assignment was in. Was given a week extension to the the whole assignment on our own. •Personal Tutor left first year at Uni. Never knew who my new tutor was for the remaining 2 years. •Everyone complained on the end of module Reviews of how bad the course is. Had a body inspecting it. But the lectures were told they are being observed so they picked up the teaching game for that week and dropped it back to how it was when the inspection stopped. •Student rep was useless and unhelpful.
Coventry University is a university with fantastic academic facilities and resources, as well as outgoing staff. I have been made to feel so welcome here and had all the support I needed. The big issue is how the management treat staff, with low pay rates, impossible targets, and treating us students like a commodity. Plus the wifi is sort of bad so there’s that.
I absolutely love my time at Coventry university. It was a university I chose as my top choice but I'm so glad I'm here. I came to the university on a course that I didnt really want to do and within the first few days decided to change. The staff were fantastic. They helped me every step of the way, my old course made it so easy to leave and my new lectures were so welcoming and nice. The staff at this uni really are willing to move mountains for you. Or atleast in the Health and Life science department they are. The Alison gingell building is stunning, so good for learning. The uni is always having building work going on
