Staying at Prestige Student Living has been a good experience overall. The location is super convenient, close to uni and everything I need. The room is nice, with plenty of storage, and the common areas are great for studying or just hanging out. The staff have been really helpful whenever I’ve needed something. The only slight downside rent is a bit high, but for the location and what you get, it feels worth it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for student accommodation!

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Living at The Residence has been the biggest highlight to my university experience. As someone who was moving away from home, I done extensive research to ensure that I acquired the best possible accommodation for myself, and The Residence has not failed to impress me! Firstly I must give the biggest shout out to Lena, the receptionist, who I am so grateful for! From before I had even moved into the accomodation, she assisted me with all issues leading up to securing my tenancy and solved all enquires I had with such professionalism. She deserves a special praise for her amazing service and kind nature. Contacting Lena for any help is never a hassle, shes made me feel so welcome ever since stepping foot into this place. The location is great, the city centre is a short walk away, with Tesco Express and Pure Gym being an even shorter distance away… we are talking about 5 minutes ! The vast majority of Coventry University buildings are under a 15 minute walk away. Two other student ac
It’s been excellent living at the residence! We have amazing reception staff and services here. I’ve loved my stay.
The Residence is a lovely accommodation to stay in as a university student. It is in the perfect location. It is close to town and university but also perfect that it is in a quiet location away from hustle and bustle. The staff are very friendly and resolve issues quickly. They hold events regularly as well if you're into that. Would definitely recommend.
I have been here for 2.5 years and its been great. The staff is nice and easy to chat with. They have regular events and provide random treats for the residents which is pretty cool. The room is awesome, I checked a lot of places around Coventry and this was the best studio I found for the price. I would fully reccomend this place!
Stayed here two years in a row with the aim of staying a third. Great value for money. And the property management team is amazing and helpful.
Living in this studio is like a dream come true! The spacious layout allows for endless possibilities in decorating and organising, making it feel like a true haven. Every corner exudes modern charm, from the sleek fixtures to the contemporary furnishings. The attention to detail is impeccable, making every day feel luxurious. Plus, the location is unbeatable, with convenient access to all the amenities of city living. I feel incredibly fortunate to call this place home, and I can confidently say it deserves a five-star rating!
The residence is an amazing accommodation to stay at. It’s a modern furnished property and is definitely worth its price. It has soundproof cinema room, a communicable lounge, study areas and amazing staff to help around. The maintenance team are very good because they respond to your needs as soon you logged anything on the app. I originally booked this accommodation just for 1 year but will definitely be staying here until in finish my degree.
I have stayed at the residence for 3 years and I can’t think of a better place to recommend to other students. It has amazing amenities, great staff, amazing wifi and constant freebies at the front desk. This accommodation has made a really positive impact on my student life. The rooms are very spacious and are worth the money spent. The location is also amazing because it’s a short walk to the city center and my university buildings. The accommodation also regularly had events that made it easy to socialize and make new friends.
I have been living at The Residence for the past 2 years and have re-booked for the next year too. Speaking from my experience - The Residence is one of the better student accommodations in Coventry. Pros: 1) Value for money and well-built studios 2) Free Parking (No other property offers this) 3) Great communal areas - Cinema room especially. 4) Close vicinity to Tesco Cons: I would have said lack of security during off hours, but they recently employed full-time security. Their management team - especially Lena and Jessica - are kind and courteous too, enhancing the great experience.
Great ambience, neat spacious rooms,24hrs access to the gym, cinema room, laundry room, lounge area for visitors or studying, a neat kitchen, swift internet connection, security, 24hrs help desk, staffs are efficient and receptive. Any maintenance issues is sorted out swiftly. The management makes sure to welcome everyone’s culture and also celebrates it aswell. The building’s location is in a great spot, few minutes walk to city centre, gyms, restaurants, lounges etc. The residence is by far the best lodge I’ve lived in Coventry,I’m definitely rebooking this year. If you’re far away from home and want to feel at home, come to the RESIDENCE.

I’ve been living at the residence since September 2022 and had an amazing experience with them from the massive luxury rooms which divides the kitchen and the bedroom it was more than I expected…the management team has been very helpful, reliable and operate with integrity. They help in soo many different ways like room changes, maintenance issues and even when your rent is delayed they are there to help and support you with all that giving you more time to be able to clear your rent arrears. I really recommend the place for those looking for a nice, quiet and private studio space.
A great location and a cosy place to live. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. -Jaleesa
It is actually a really good place. It is really really nice and they have interesting events happening. The maintenance are quick to response and the reception is friendly
Overall my experience at the residence Coventry has been great, the service is excellent from the reception and maintenance team which solve your issue very quick. The accommodation is definitely for students who enjoy their peace and quiet as the location is perfect for that circumstance. I would book again as a student because of how convenient it is for me as well as the spacious room I have and perfect view of the city.
Living at The Residence in Coventry has been an absolute blast! From the moment I moved in, it felt more like a luxury apartment than student accommodation. My en-suite studio is spacious and stylish, with everything I need to study, relax, and cook up delicious meals. The bed is super comfy, and the kitchenette is surprisingly well-equipped. But The Residence isn't just about the rooms. The common areas are incredible! The on-site gym keeps me motivated, and the cinema room I is perfect for movie nights with friends. The games room is a great place to unwind and socialize, and the dining room offers a convenient space to meet new people over dinner. Speaking of people, the staff at The Residence are amazing. They're friendly, helpful, and always go the extra mile to make sure you feel at home. They organise regular events and activities, too, which is a fantastic way to get involved in the community and make new friends. Overall, I can't recommend The Residence highly enough. Cheyanne
They keep removing my review Not worth it! Avoid! Unprofessional. I wish I read the bad review before I moved here but this was a last minute thing as someone else had booked my room at my previous accommodation. I moved here September 2022. If you look online, the pictures are nothing like this, the cinema room, the common room etc. I had issues with the pressure in my kitchen and the pressure in the bathroom shower. I addressed this to them maybe a few weeks when I moved in. The 1st thing I was told me was "you just need to let the water run as nobody has moved in here for a while". The 2nd excuse was "there is a waterlock in the system and you need to let the water run for 10 minutes". The 3rd excuse was "there is nothing that can be done as you are on the ground floor and it is something to do with the outside" Well that's odd, because 2 months later they gave me a key to another room and that shower was perfectly fine which was on the ground floor. Rest of my review is cut off
Lovely place to stay! Emily and Lauren are always there to help you out. Cannot recommend it enough.
The residence Great space for students. It’s very secure and convenient
The rooms are pleasant and so are the neighbours
Lovely and friendly staff, perfect location.
Stuff is very good. Location is very good
Miss Emilly is Amazing!! So cool residence i like it.
The Residence is high-standard new student accommodation. The rooms have a very good size for one person and feels quite spacious. The layout of the room is smart enough and some of them they are towards to the Coventry Canal. The staff members here are very helpful and always try to make us feel at home. They organised online activities and competitions to make us have fun and keep the residence engaged. Every day there is a caretaker, who keeps the building common areas clean and is always available to fix small problems in the rooms fast and reliable. Also, we have access to a gym, a cinema room, and a common area where we can play ping pong or pool. The accommodation is 10 minutes walk from the city center. Very nice location with good-sized studios and rooms.
This is prestige accommodation as it states, could not fault anything with the room it is perfect for me and the staff are always really friendly and greet me with a smile every time I come in, I would recommend this accommodation to anyone
Due to lockdown rules yes we aren’t allowed no guests but why is it me they are knocking when there’s so many other people. I have been bringing in people for the longest and it’s only now they want to say. I pay over £3000 to be isolated, listen if people are allowed to bring in guests so why cannot I? During this time I need people around me if you can’t understand that then.........you will not affect my mental health just because boris said “NO”
I have been living here for a month now, so far it's been a great experience. The staffs are very warm and welcoming. The only trouble I have had is that the fire alarms are very sensitive.
Very good condition. The location is so good. And especially stuff is amazing.
Nice, luxurious, spacious rooms and building is in a nice quiet area. The balcony in my room helps me enjoy fresh air without going outside. The friendly, easy-going staff help with bringing up parcels and have kept residents engaged during the pandemic with fun online activities where prizes are won. Highly recommend.
The residence is the cleanest place I have stayed in during my time at Coventry university. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They are able to help you with any issues you have and answer your queries fast. The accommodation is modern and has everything you could need. The location is perfect with only 5 minutes and you are in Coventry’s town centre.
Private studio is comfortable , clean ,well-equipped ,however, I paid for a room with a balcony , and unfortunately no balcony was provided.I was given a frontal room with no privacy. Poor crisis management with slow responses to requests. No refunds are provided during this pandemic ,which was quite surprising and disappointing. They would knock the door and if you don't open it quickly they would just enter it by themselves!!
Mixed feeling . This is a beautiful location to be at , and everything looks neat . But the social spaces are awfully small . Their very few washing machines - the staff ( thou they are really nice ) were only available at the reception from 9-5 . And are not there on weekends . I enjoyed staying here . But the way it lead up to it was frustrating . We were in an assumption that the property was completed so when we came in we were made to stay in an hotel which was hectic but we were promised that all our expenses will be paid for . Which to date we haven’t received , it’s been 4 months . And also don’t forget your key - you are charged £57 . For them to just unlock your room ( not for new key ) just for them to tap their master key . Probably should get used to hearing “ by the end of the week “ .
Covid-19: They social places have been locked out. I don’t think there can anything else that could have been done . And there are no receptionist anymore . So have to collect your own parcels and letters are often not delivered .
