Canvas Coventry Arundel House is just a three-minute walk from the University of Coventry and twenty-five minutes from the University of Warwick via public transport. All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I have lived here for nearly 2 years now and I enjoy it thoroughly. The staff are always friendly and ready to help and help get through loneliness by being so supportive and amiable. Especially maggie on front desk and Ahmed who is concierge are highlights of my time here! Will miss them when I move on to adult life !

Lovely Accomodation, good reception people and great response as well. Would love if there's free provision for Vaccum cleaners, and broom stick.

I have been living here for 3 years, the social space is great, the rooms are very comfortable. The accommodation is within perfect proximity to every place within city centre. Maggie and Ahmed especially have provided excellent customer service in my 3 years here.

The advantage of the building is its location. The building very close to my school building is the William Morriss building. Besides, it's not too far from the center. In addition, the facilities are quite good for the price offered. Wifi is okay. Space for society is quite basic.

Great Accomodation and great staff
Really nice place to stay in Coventry, couldn’t find a better accommodation than canvas arundel house in Coventry for sure
It would be helpful to have a cleaning service provided weekly for the kitchen (just swiping and moping, and checking all the flatmates are keeping it clean and tidy. As I had in my last accommodation). However, they have a great service of maintenance and management, they have always been so helpful. Nevertheless, the lifts area is usually really dirty and require more attention.
The room layout is very reasonable, and the public areas are rich in entertainment facilities such as billiards and table tennis.
Good, hope the WiFi speed will be restored soon.
I feel I got the value of my money
The accommodation is up to standard and good value for the price it is at. The wifi is a bit iffy once in a blue moon and there are no activities or ways to be social with other people you don’t already know (that’s not a problem for me).
Over all, Canvas Arundel is a lovely place to stay during your study.

Canvas was my home in the UK for 3 consecutive academic years and I wouldn’t change it for nothing. I felt safe, comfortable and close to everything I needed.

A lively and enjoyable environment to live and study. The accommodation is clean and has a real community feel. I would strongly recommend this for any student in Coventry or Warwick. You'll be in safe hands. Special mention to Neil, Nicola and Maggie, nothing is ever to much trouble!
The staff is extremely friendly and always happy to help. There is events for all types of occasions every month and the accommodation is very inclusive of all cultures and cultural events.

I’m a student and I love it here. Staff are professional and always willing to help. Common places are beautiful and always kept clean.
The location is phenomenal, could hardly ask for better. Staff are friendly, going out of their way even to provide generous amounts of free food during different holidays that the place is decorated for. Room and kitchen are decent, just large enough. The view from my kitchen is very nice. Common room, study rooms and gym are fantastic. Some downsides - you have to borrow vacuum cleaners and there's often a shortage. There was once an incident where the lights failed and we were in complete darkness, on a winter evening, for hours until there was light again. And another where the internet failed across the building for an hour. Additionally, there was a fruit fly infestation when we moved in, and despite deep cleaning of the showers by the helpful maintenance staff and myself, the shower pools water and floods constantly. The toilet flush is also exceptionally weak although that might just be me.
Pros: nice rooms, modern design, good location Cons: Terrible service/problem solving, Very loud at night, very thin walls and windows, poorly managed

The facilities are very clean and the rooms are spacious. This space allows for studying as well as relaxing.
