Fantastic uni. Got in through clearing and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
The premise staff are amazing, everything is always clean and working. The lectures are really interesting (English) It’s in a great city There’s a really diverse group of students which makes forming friendships much easier The Catholic society is my favourite and the catholic priest is amazing, very funny and kind and really makes you feel as if you matter.
Chester University is a small campus-based university, which is great because everything is super close! The facilities are good, and are constantly being improved and updated,
Please don't apply for this Univerity. First they ask us to send the advance free, before the Skype interview. Then after 3 or 4 attempts they reject you and they will return the money after 4 or 5 months. Insane process
Best three years of my life at the University of Chester. Previously looked at other universities, but glad I chose this university as it has such a welcoming community. I studied Media and the lecturers were helpful and if I didn't understand a certain feedback comment/topic. The societies were fantastic and worked together with the sports teams. All campuses have a sense of community and you have so many opportunities with the chester difference award and careers and employability. Wish I studied my masters at this fantastic university!
the Campus is great, the wifi can be a bit dodgy sometimes, and wireless printers don’t really work, and game consoles can’t connect to the wifi, and with my fire tv stick you have to log in to the wifi every single time it goes off.
Chester Uni is a great place to study, people are really friendly, plenty of good quality private sector student houses which are much cheaper than halls, my group of friends have found a great property with Chester Student Rentals for the next academic year 2018/2019, all inclusive for under £100 per week.
Started a Postgraduate course (MRes). Very little help offered by both the department and the University for many things, such as the library, and even little things like parking. The department has no clear guidelines for the MRes program, blurring documentation from PhD and MA courses in a confusing and disorderly mess. Can't wait to submit my dissertation and finish, definitely regret choosing the University of Chester, they either need to scrap programs that have little support and very little guidance, or implement new resources that offer clear guidelines and support.
University of Chester is a great place to study, the campuses are all very close to each other so no need to bring your car, I have found a great private sector landlord called Chester Student Rentals.co.uk. They really look after you and their properties, check out their reviews on their website or Facebook page if you are looking for fantastic accommodation.
Internet can be massively improved, glad the console wifi is separate but on my phone it keeps cutting out
A good range of clubs and societies
SU Fridays at the students union are the best, there's no need to go into town. SU has cheap drinks and good music. There are so many sports and societies on offer, attend as many free sessions as you can before commiting, also the nights out with any social are very messy
Never had any problem with facilities, student union, careers or the internet. I never joined a society, however there is a lot of options and something to interest anyone.
Loads of clubs that you can join, wifi is normally working 5/7 days a week haha..
SU Fridays are so good, I love it.
The university has a number of different facilities and services available to their student, however there can be a long waiting list. The improvements to main campus library are fab and on Queens Park Campus this provides all the relevant content in one place and it is easy to find.
Really supportive university with a friendly and fun atmosphere.
Awful uni, especially for nursing. Inconsistent marking, blatant discrimination and bullying tactics used against those with extra needs. Very poorly put together course that often results in very little being gained from placement. In addition to this the expectations from work are not clear and communicated. Following the handbook is pointless as the lecturers ignore it. Overall a terrible uni
Really good uni, just some basic things could do with updating when it comes to accomodation
It's a brilliant university, I love it much better than high school!
The university is great like the courses that people do are amazing, so are the societies the best parts about them are the social nights where everyone dresses up its brilliant. The wifi on the other hand not so great, on campus it's amazing like connectes brilliantly and works and everything but if your in accommodation especially not on campus then it can be a pain, like going off at 7pm for some unknown reason and then not coming back until your asleep at night.
wifi is appaling but other than that all good ha ha ha aha ha ha
Enjoying everything- every of it - every day..!!!
Student union is very welcoming, with a shop, Starbucks, a bar and plenty of seating space. Loads of sign if you get lost.
Chester is a lovely place to start of student life with a great social life and amazing facilities on campus
The student union is the best, SU Fridays are the best night. The SU also has different nights on different days of the week which I really enjoy. The uni is also really small which means you see the same people everyday which makes it so much easier to make friends. The wifi can be a butt slow at times though but overall the campus and facilities are really good.
I'm not on the main campus I'm on queens park campus (the new business campus) and its really nice. Just been done up and opened so all pretty new just a bit of a trek away from the main campus and where most of the accommodation is. There is a free shuttle bus but it sets off at quarter past to get there on the hour and you can walk quicker than that, especially for me as I'm staying at sumner house so therefore I would have to set off at like 5 past to walk down to campus whereas if I walk straight to queens park I don't have to set off until twenty to.
its not bad. warrington is worse than chester
Great university with everything no more than a 10 minute walk away on the main campus.
The university is a lovely place to study and meet new people.
Amazing place but food needs to be better
I have had a great experience at the university. The facilities on campus are great (who doesn't love grabbing a quick Starbucks before walking to a lecture at 8.30am!) and the staff and members are all very nice and welcoming!
I haven't joined any clubs or societies. The WiFi isn't always great and flickers on and off at times. However other facilities on campus are brilliant.
Amazing experience overall! However booking of sports facilities should be better organise, often double-booking has happened and it's frustrating.
A great uni with a great atmosphere. Huge range of clubs and societies and lots of oppotunities
So happy with my choice to come here, I love being a student at Chester.
Chester is a really lovely University with both a homely and City feel. It is the right balance between the countryside & city life. This thing that appealed most to me is the amazing careers facility and how they constantly support you with enhancing your CV.
Brilliant experience loved every minute of being here. Staff always welcome you and make you feel like you have a achieved everyday
I would not change universities for anything, Chester is currently changing and developing to better it's students and I don't think you could ask for much more.
Excellent university, absolutely love it. The staff are lovely and supporting and are always willing to help with anything you need, The learning facilities are fantastic also.
Started as a new student changing from Liverpool hope an automatically have seen how much better the university is, course changed, but even down to just the general staff. Great university could of picked a better one
Seems to be progressing nicely. As a student I feel valued and the University should be aiming to hit the top 50 asap.
Wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't worth it had the best year here and the campus is brilliant along with the facilities and everything else also very close to town centre which is handy.
I have found that I really settled in and everyone is very welcoming, There are so many things to do and get involved in, there really is something for everyone.
such a good community and atmosphere! The campus is quite small compared to other universities I've visited but i prefer this as it was quick to feel at home and settle in. chester is such a friendly city with great parks, shops and nightlife there are lots of students
While the Uni can be underwhelmingly small at times it is still a great place to be
A fantastic university with great support from everyone and a small enough feel where you truly are a person not a number. The city of Chester is amazing too and really makes coming to university here a privilege.
Great place to live. Lively student atmosphere. Excellent study to free time ratio. Everything on the main campus. Super Uni!!
It's amazing and quiet and peaceful
Such a great, friendly place to be!!!
Chester is brilliant ! Such a friendly campus and the lectures are brilliant.
Absolutely fantastic, much better than expected
I am only a first year so have not used many of the services yet, but when I have all have been helpful.
Lots of things going on in the Student Union, good facilities with starbucks and a gym and a good range of societies to join.
I was nervous about starting University but Chester was so welcoming and made me feel like a person not just a number which was really appreciated. The city is great and I have enjoyed every moment of first year with no regrets, Bring on second year!
Great area with a brilliant town centre and good night life. The university uses god teaching and there is plenty of support avaliable should you need it. Many sports clubs and other societies are based at the university and are suitable for all abilities
the campus is small so it easy to find your way around and it soon feels like home. the student union bar is nothing special but always has great deals on and is in a great location
I love my uni. I chose the right place and right course. Just feels right I highly recommend the Music Journalism course
