I think we brought an iron between the flat, Kettle comes with the kitchen and there are vacuum cleaners you can borrow from the main office for a couple of hours they tend to be hard to get hold of though at times.

Love staying at Tramways! The staff are super sweet and helpful. It’s so convenient being next to the train station but it is a little far from campus. I feel well taken care of whenever I need anything and overall everything is great :))

Absolutely LOVE Tramways, perfect location, city center only 5-10 minutes away, right next to train station and taxi rank which is ideal for me as I don’t drive. Absolutely LOVE it. We are SO lucky to stay here right in the centre of Chester still close to university campuses and perfect for commuters as the train station is a minute walk away. Lovely place to stay if you’re looking for a place in Chester. Friendly staff, especially when Paul makes you hot chocolates. Right on the door step next to the train station. And only a 20 min walk away from the main campus plus 5 min walk and your in the heart of Chester.

The location is perfect for a Nursing student like myself. It isn’t far from town, it’s opposite the train station, and there is a bus stop nearby to get to placements which is a big bonus for me as I don’t drive. The staff here are very helpful with anything I ask them such as anything faulty within the shared kitchen or my room - they are always quick to answer any question via email or phone. Tyler and Paul have been especially helpful and friendly and it’s always good to talk to them. The facilities here are good as well like the social space where they host a bunch of fun activities like movie nights and quiz nights.

Greqt social space. There's a social event almost every week. Its perfect for the train station and it's the closest accommodation to kingsway campus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Paul and Tyler are always there with a smile. I've had a great stay here.

I have stayed at Tramways for both my first and second year of uni. Throughout my time here I have met some really amazing friends and have had a really positive experience overall. Any issues with maintenance the staff have always been so attentive and fixed it straight away. Adding to this, the facilities are excellent. I have never had any issues with the laundry and the vending machines by the social space are a nice extra. In particular, the night staff member Paul is always happy to help no matter what the time is or even just have a chat. Over the last 2 years it has been really reassuring to have the familiarity of Paul there as a friendly face, particularly when you don't always see family or friends as much living away from home. He is always willing to go above and beyond to sort out any issues that may arise, which again is really reassuring. I would highly recommend Tramways as a place to live for future students, as it has definitely benefitted my uni experience :)

have been at tramways for my first and second year and have rebooked for my third . the room has everything i need and just the right amount of space. staff are so friendly and always on hand to help- night owls paul and tyler are my favourite. maintenance always respond quickly if i have any issues also! laundry facilities do the job and social spaces are great as well. only minor issue i have ever had is that i moved in early for my second year, and a policy i was not warned about is that there is no guarantee your flat will be deep cleaned in time for your arrival. the kitchen was dirty to the point of no return from the previous occupants and the hobs were broken. it took three days after my arrival for a cleaning crew to come. left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, so bear in mind in case you plan on arriving early.

I have very mixed opinions of my times here, the night staff Tyler & Paul have always been amazing. They’re helpful & lovely to chat to. The day staff are also lovely, however my experience with the managers has been negative. I have experienced zero empathy or help when struggling with rent due to hospitalisation. (being out of work) It seems that people in shared flats have had positive experiences, however myself and other people i know in studios have not. The facilities & space that we have is not good value for money at all. I would recommend getting yourself an actual flat if you’re considering the studios as it would be much cheaper & better value for money. The social space is great, we have good facilities like the PS4, pool table & table football etc. Vending machines are great when they actually work, we have lost one this year & the other one hasn’t been working for about a month. & the washing machines are expensive & people never collect their washing on time.

Staff are very attentive and always ready to help out when there’s an issue. night staff, especially Tyler are always ready no matter the hour to help or even just for a friendly chat. I am currently a first year student staying in Tramways accommodation, and I have to say it’s absolutely top notch!! From the quality of the rooms, to the social spaces and location convenience - everything is beyond amazing. On top of that, the staff are extremely friendly, especially Paul (who is known for amazing hot chocolates, I have yet to try them). I do want to shout out the maintenance team, as I am a very clumsy person and probably known by name by them at this point! Still the team always run to my aid, and I’d love to give the tall one a shoutout if I knew his name, always there to help and lovely to chat to! Thank you so much Tramways for making my experience that extra bit amazing, already rebooked for next year!

Have been staying here since 3 months and I have to say, the facilities are top notch. Social spaces are good as well along with great WIFI. It is a gated and monitored accommodation so there is no issue about security.

I have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Tramways during my first year in Chester. I am a Hammond student and I feel as if the size and accommodations of a Tramways room is perfect for me to practice the dance I need to do, something I couldn’t find in any other halls. The staff are so so lovely and friendly; a special shout out to Paul who is the greatest member of staff, he will make sure you have everything sorted.

As a first year student, staying at Tramways has been incredibly beneficial. For location, it’s so close to town and to my campus (Queen’s Park). It is the safest and cleanest accommodation I’ve visited. Most importantly I have met my closest mates here due to Tramways, therefore I am always grateful. The staff are always welcoming and helpful which makes living here so special.

Best place to live! Enjoying my time here, my second year here and enjoyed it the first year so decided to stay here again. Also booked again for 3rd year as I enjoy it and feel safe here especially with my epilepsy. Paul is amazing as well! Makes the best hot chocolate and always free for a chat and makes the nights so much better when you feel down as well. Such friendly staff and always on hand to help!

My time at tramways so far has been a very enjoyable experience. For the very reasonable price, my room is more than suitable, my bathroom is great, and my kitchen has everything I need. The biggest plus to staying here is that the prices are fixed, and very good considering the cost of living crisis. Would highly recommend.

This is currently my 2nd year here and i have already booked my third year here. The welcoming I got on my first day was exquisite, the staff were very welcoming and very kind I already felt at home. Once I settled in, everything felt normal. I am very friendly with the night Staff, the night Staff that will have a game of pool with you, Have a great conversation with you makes my nights where I may struggle to sleep a lot easier. The managers and myself have a great friendship. Every time I pop into reception, I could have a nice chat and that will make my day. In my first year, there was an incident where I had accidentally flooded my kitchen, this caused me to be very worried and anxious about having to pay a large sum of money. However, after speaking with the staff at Tranways, they had eased my anxiousness and made sure help me and in the end I didn’t have to pay a penny. Thank you Darren/Alison/Paul/Jav and the rest of the team.

Tramways has been a really nice place to stay as a first year so much so I am staying here for a second year . Met some lifelong friends, constantly felt safe here. Staff helpful and friendly. Darren is amazing. Package system is really good.

Everyone at the front desk is really helpful, making Tramways a truly excellent place to live. In particular, Mr. Paul is the best; he is like a member of the family. I still recall the day I arrived in the UK carrying Covid . In regards to any issue, he was always there to assist me. I am so grateful.

I have been very happy with my stay here, which is why I will be staying here again for my 2nd year. The staff are all lovely and accommodating. Any issue my flat and I have had, it gets sorted fairly quickly. It’s very close to any amenities, so great for a night out haha. Would recommend tramways 100%

Where do I start! Tramways has been insane, the staff are the nicest people, the communal room is brill and gives students an opportunity to meet new people etc, everyone is so welcoming, always there when you need them and a great laugh, I highly recommend to anyone to go to tramways!

being so close to the train station is super handy, and the actual accommodation is well worth the price i’ve made so many friends here, and there’s fun nights held really often!

Great place to stay whilst studying at Chester uni. Loved being able to have the experience of sharing a student flat, without having to rent a student house. I switched from renting a student house, to here in my last year and the whole experience was better. Cleaner, staff on site at all times (didn't have to wait 2 weeks for the landlord to finally come to the house to sort something) and the biggest thing for me was having my own bathroom. Location is a little further away from the main campus, but it's fab for the train station and the city centre. Social space lacked a bit when I first moved in but they seem to have really worked on it recently so it's a lot nicer. Even through covid, tramways felt like our own town. So that helped with lockdown a lot, I felt really lucky to feel so supported by the staff and the little tramways community.

Tramways is a nice accommodation however I do think for the value for money more could be done with the kitchens.

Tramways would be a whole hearted recommendation to anyone considering booking student accommodation in Chester. The space is lovely and the staff in reception will help with any situation no matter how silly it may be. Especially Amy who gave me a cream egg to write this review.
Tramways is brilliant Accomodation! It’s right next to the train station, a short 15 minute walk from town, and. 20 minute walk from Kingsway Creative Campus (UOC) The staff at Chester are always on call, and are so helpful and friendly. They always put on events that cater to everyone, from pop quiz’s to health and well being events!
Tramways is a lovely environment and the bedroom space even in a bronze is fab! The social space is ok but isn’t used by students as well as it could be. The location is great and well secure with gates and perfect distance for town and campus. The staff are very friendly and always there to help!

Modern, spacious flats with a relaxing feel. Quiet by day, can be noisy by night.
Great location, wasn’t spotless when I first arrived, however the WiFi is strong with nice facilities and cooperative/friendly reception staff. Accommodation is new and modern, slightly pricy but great all round.
Staff are very friendly and approachable with any queries.
Since moving here in September I have felt at home and safe which has made my uni experience much more enjoyable. The staff are lovely and helpful with any issues or problems that I have!
All of the staff are really friendly and care a lot about the residents that live here. Kitchens can often be left untidy due to residents but is no fault of tramways but is something to be aware of. Rooms are small for what you pay but do the job. Definitely one of the better student properties and very high quality for the price point. Very modern, friends have called it a miniature village haha.
I feel really safe at tramways, the staff are always lovely and willing to have a chat with you. The environment is friendly and it’s always clean. I feel Tramways is in a very good location as it’s not too far away from town or the post office.

Good experience living with friends and security is 24 hour so I always feel safe
M- reduced contracts (£99 pw) 2 weeks into the tenancy to fill rooms - despite many remaining empty - which nobody was aware of prior L- Perfect for train as it is across the road, 15 minute walk to Queens campus, 20 (uphill) to the parkgate, fair distance from the town (shops, clubs) H- brilliant staff, chatty, answer questions, security 24/7. Accommodated 3 of us to move, flat suiting our interests 10/10 C- social space and halls are good, stairs not They don't make regular inspections, bad conditions left. S- games, vending machines, free pool table, football table, lounge area with TV, event nights, freebies often. I- internet is poor. No parking, no TV, no kettle! no brushes or mops to hire Modern, lots of privacy for 1st year, secure for peace of mind.
Tramways is an ideal student accommodation with shops and the train station within walking distance. The staff on site are accommodating and friendly and always assist with any problems. The room itself is good value for money with lots of storage and the communal areas are always clean. I have had an amazing student experience here, and I would highly recommend Tramways to all students in all years!
