It's a nice and friendly university. Having less than 100 students in my course has definitely been nice for the learning experience and had felt personal compared to what my friends from other unis have said.

I enjoy attending this University- it’s not at cool as other unis but it has great access to London and great careers opportunities
One of the best universities over the world
Mostly very good. Some buildings are outdated now. The student union could be a more social space for students to connect but there is not much to do there.
The cleaning service could use some improvement in terms of timeliness. The communal areas, especially the kitchen, were often not cleaned on schedule, which sometimes led to a bit of a mess accumulating. While it wasn’t a major issue, having a more consistent cleaning schedule would have made a significant difference in the overall cleanliness of shared spaces including seating areas generally in the uni. Lack of Career Support: One of the biggest drawbacks of staying here was the poor career services. As a student preparing for life after university, I expected more in terms of career guidance, workshops, and networking opportunities. The accommodation did not offer any substantial support related to job placements, internships, or career counselling. In comparison to other university accommodations that often provide career fairs, alumni meetups, or even direct support services, this was a glaring omission. Even when there were career-related events, they were either poorl
University of Surrey is a top uni with great facilities available for their students. It has a welcoming environment for that the new students are comfortable in the university.
The campus is good with some great facilities. Problem however is that very very little information is given about anything, and not much help is given on who to contact to ask questions
So far everything has been fantastic, my accomodation is delightful, my flatmates are lovely, all my lecturers are so interesting. The university offers a range of different facilities such as the hive or the magnificent library. I am in awe every day here
Best student accommodation in Guildford!
Since I have been here, I am enjoying my time. I believe that the school has a great atmosphere. Societies wise could get a little tricky to fit into and I am not one to club etc so it gets harder to make friends there
I love the university campus it’s so pretty and the buildings all look really nice
Very nice. I really like the room and the kitchen
very friendly and welcoming. Great support systems.
Great for travel so close to the campus and city centre
All amenities are available, student should be active to grab the suitable things according to their choice
Surrey is a great uni, like it here
Doesn't you feel like you have to get through the hard times on your own.
Everyone is super friendly, professors are super supportive and there us a vast range of clubs and societies to join and stay entertained.
I really like how they have a society for everything and I can’t wait to go to some of them. At the moment I haven’t been able to figure out where to get immediate career help and I think being able to change our tutor or choose our tutor should be an option
Lovely staff, great place for students
Good campus and amazing people. Would like better professors and teaching.
Amazing as usual. I love the services
great university atmosphere and useful courses that boost your academic life.
very nice campus, the wifi is great.
I love how there are different things to do on campus.
The music department was great!
really good uni. the courses are amazing
The university is modern and clean. Lots of study spaces and a massive library. Surrey Sports Park is great too, with so many facilities.
I hope this review will get information for people who plan to or think about choosing University of Surrey. I find lectures and academic support are great. I have no issue about this. However, parking is another problem. All students have raised the concern that if you live on campus or GU1, GU2, you are not allowed to get your cars on campus. Therefore if you plan to stay and be back with your family during weekend. Being mindful about their rules. I got ill for 3 months last year due to walking under the rain and cold of UK, all I got when emailing transport team is a silence and they ignored me and my health concerns. This issue was raised by my knowledge from 2019. They said university tries to reach net zero goal and physical and mental healths of their students are what they are sacrificing for the goal. I wish they achieve the goal after sacrificing so many like that.
I am so glad to live here and have a good experience
It is amazing. Learning a lot of things and like the culture
Its the best place to live! Best place in the town!!
The Lake is my favorite part of the campus, it is very beautiful and if you need to relax you can just stay there. The social spaces are very nice.
Good university with a beautiful campus
Accomodation is good, public transport available at ease.
Everything is good , staff are friendly
Had an amazing time at Surrey uni. Society and Union involvement has really been the highlight for me. So many supportive staff and students here too.
Lovely uni and offers so many opportunities in the future. Supportive staff as well
It is a great university for many courses
Great place Lovely staff Great facilities Loads of freebies
I love it here at the University of Surrey. I love that there are many bus stops dotted around the campus with buses arriving fairly frequently. The scheme of providing us with free fruit two days a week is very helpful, since buying fruit can taking up a fair amount of our budgets. The various fairs and activities the University arranges are also extremely helpful in finding our what we want to do with our lives and how to go about it.
Tuition fees too expensive, food too bad
Valie for money. The staff are lovely
Best stusent accomodation in Guildford I think!
Perfect school for students, nice environment, friendly staffs
I’ve enjoyed using the amenities
Good facility Best uni in Guildford.
Modern accommodation with helpful staff!
Fab love staying here - staff are great - thank you!
The university's finance department is utterly useless. I am a PhD student and for the last three years I have been raising this concern through all relevant channels, but if anything, they appear to be getting worse. Everyone I speak to at the university knows that the finance department are useless. They have contributed significantly to my level of stress. They have always said that they are understaffed, but the whole finance system needs a major overhaul with the aim of improving transparency. If anyone with the power to influence change is reading this, please raise this to the relevant people.
Love the uni, it’s great, live the area
Happy to be Uni of Surrey student
Great uni with good facilities
Overall having a good experience
It’s alright, nothing out of the ordinary
Their dynamic and new approach to learning makes me want to be as present as possible within each lesson.
Good uni, really nice area to live in
no complaints, all services i interacted with were great
Overall good university to study, but not very helpful in terms of job help
I chose University of Surrey as an international student because of their well known reputation and ranking. I’m very pleased with my choice !
This is a good place for students to live. It is just a few minutes' walk from the train station, surrounded by supermarkets and close to the town centre. The public facilities here are very new and very complete, there are study rooms, communal kitchen, laundry, gym, games room and so on, it is really worth it!
A great place to meet people and get a solid education at the same time
Very good university to study.
I’m not really a part of it as I’m at GSA but from what i know it’s good
The university is good for the course I have taken, the lab facilities are exceptional good for my dissertation work.
I don’t like the log in system for university, to be honest
All good such a good university
I love being at the university of surrey. It is a beautiful campus and provides so many different opportunities for placements! The societies and facilities that are provided are excellent as well!
It’s a good university very supportive
a really great uni with great facilities for everyone
Everyone at the university has been so helpful in terms of the staff, and all my classmates have been nice so far. The course work is challenging which is expected at a good university
Great learning experience, and big campus.
very good university with good professors and stuff
Surrey university is a really good university especially my for my course. All the teachers are really friendly and supportive. The student union too if u have any concerns they are there to help you out
amazing i love it! nothing missing
Perfect university if you're looking for something student-orientated, the care and attention given to student life is top notch on top of the student academic support, great facilities that are being improved constantly, accommodation is good and within reach of tesco, lidl, and city centre by bus or walking. Overall very chill location but only a half and hour train ride from London if you're looking to see new places. Post graduation services seem useful, you get the sense that its a very employable university especially if you do a degree with placement year.
It’s fun, it’s annoying that it’s built on a hill
Great university with a wide range of activities on campus
Avoid at all costs. Extremely mediocre, unfriendly, and xenophobic. Especially avoid the computer science department.
Societies are a hit and miss. Had a terrible experience with the Surf society 21/22 regarding some kind of sexual abuse. It's minor but still, nobody should have to go through that and then be ignored. The committee and president generally only cared for people in their friendship group and didn't bother helping out new surfers despite advertising themselves as welcoming for all levels of experience. I didn't learn a thing nor did I get to surf for more than 2 hours total on two trips. The committee are mostly the same for next year (one member being pretty much bullied into leaving and a couple have left), so I hope they would have improved by 22/23. Other than that, the uni is ok. The only amazing points are the modern and seemingly luxurious amenities as well as the high job offers and placement opportunities. Of course, this was only one society and I joined a different one. Most people are nice but this is just a heads up to potential surfers on the off chance they read this.
Good. I go to Guildford School of Acting so I don't know much about UoS but I think it's good. They have a great Disability and Neurodiversity team too.
Overall a fun and sociable university
Cool space like pingpong okay he done
I enjoy all staff i ln University, beautiful lake and nature, food market and societies events. Perfect job.
Life at Surrey has taught me extensive knowledge and prepared me for my future career. I really appreciate how all the staff supported us during our academic study.
Great experience and really helped with belonging to the University. Lectures were proactive in my course.
Didn't get any career support from Professors. They have career advisors but student account will not work after you graduate. you are on your own.
Excellent university and staff
I recently just started but from what I can see this is a good university and I would advice people to come here.. the environment is friendly, outstanding facilities and accommodating clubs and societies would recommend!!
Haven't been here for long enough to know the campus that well
I am very pleased by the University of Surrey. Excellent facilities, technology, tidy and clean spaces with the stuff always available.
Love the location of my university and the variety of people I meet here!
Studying at the University of Surrey is such a good decision, the teaching staffs are all so nice and professional. They made the learning journey in a fun and nice way. The whole Stag Hill Campus is beautiful, especially the University of Surrey Lake. The library is my favourite place.
The university has a friendly environment and big and modern library. Hive is very good for people who facing trouble and dont know what to do.
Accommodation is awful and isolating. Rent averages £600/month for a room in a shared house. Like an overpopulated mini London where everyone is cold and cruel because no one has any personal space whatsoever because the campus and facilities are pushed far beyond their maximum occupancy. Buses are always late. Rail is always on strike or late. Nothing to do in town. Student union club always sold out and their weird sex fetish themed nights every week are total cringe. Everything is overpriced. PGRs in my department all live outside of Guildford because it's too expensive to live in town so you never see other PGRs, their "student rep" is a joke who does the absolute bare minimum to connect the PGR community. My department has no seminars or anything so no reason for any other PGRs to ever cross paths. I was denied access to facilities/equipment critical for my research project but undergrads are allowed to use everything. NHS services are stretched thin. Place is a diploma mill.
Responded well to the covid situation.
It is a nice university to attend, with great social life.
Very good university and people that care about the students
The univeristy of not bad comparing with Hazel farm. Hazel farm is the worst
A place for students to come find and a explore themselves.
