my flatmates were the best, there’s no sofa or enough chairs for everyone in the kitchen - you get to know other floors really well but beware if ur on the top floor as it’s 5 flights of stairs and that’s not fun carrying up tesco shopping

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

The halls are always outstanding.
University seems to place halls members in subject pairs, which is endlessly useful throughout the year. Accommodation was modern, with few problems. Facilities were sufficient, value for money was excellent, location was unmatched.
Was the best experience and the cheapest cost!
Surrey and Battersea Court are by far the best accommodation on campus. Amazing value for money and right in the centre of campus. Living with 14 people and sharing bathrooms is absolutely fine and no problem, they get cleaned for us every couple of days as well. The kitchens are massive, so Surrey Court is always where the parties are at. Honestly, I don't know anyone who didn't love it in Surrey Court. If you're thinking about whether you need ensuite or not, I would ask yourself whether you think it's worth the extra money just to have your own bathroom and live further away... It's definitely not. I can guarantee you won't regret choosing Surrey Court, and you'll have the absolute time of your life!
Right in the centre of the Uni, no longer than a 5 minute walk to anywhere you need to go. Flata of 14 make it so sociable and you become friends with everyone on your block. Wish there was a social space closer to the block though or in it as no one bothers to hang out in the common room.
This is the best place to live in campus.

Great location and large social space
Amazing location- all buildings that I could wish to go to on campus are within a 6 minute radius, with the library and lecture block a mere minute away.
been living there for 2 years! lovely spot on campus
The only area to socialise is the kitchen, but in a flat so big chances are someone's always in there. Surprisingly good sized rooms, I was expecting something much smaller!
The halls are a good location, but quite expensive for what they are. The only social area is the kitchen.
Great value for money, I was always sure I wanted an ensuite room at uni but choosing a band C was a great decision. It saved me £30 a week and I can honestly say sharing bathrooms/showers has never been an issue because everyone is in the same situation. Living with 14 people seems daunting and overcrowded but it isn't at all, the kitchen is big enough to have plenty of space to cook and be social. The rooms are a good size and there is a sink in your room which is useful as well! It is close to the library and rubix, nothing is more than a 5 minute walk away
Very spacious room and kitchen but only one very old oven
Great location. The applicances are old so had a few problems but otherwise so good for pre drinks and socialising.
Really good layout to the flat, good sized rooms
Very socialized place. Definatelly not for somebody who like boring life:)
Fantastic experience, location could not be better and the rooms are lovely and spacious!
Great place to live - right in centre of campus and really close to rubix
Sociable place to live and great location on campus.
I have a band C room in a 14 person floor. It can be a bit crowded at times and gets dirty more often than it can be cleaned, but it is pleasant.
