The University of Sheffield is in my opinion one of the best experiences I’ve had in terms of education. The social ethos of the university and the activities and facilities it provides you with are truly helpful to having a better uni life.
It’s nice to meet the people from all around the world and the professors who own the professional knowledge.
It would be better if more job information can be provided for postgraduate
The student union here is a lovely community and you can find help with most things from the ssid. Library services is good in general although more food choices are expected to provide.
The University experience is really good apart from the academics which is something I signed up for and quite ironic that every aspect is delivered well except the academic stuff. Despite their constant endeavour for being strict on the evaluation part to maintain standards they loose the out of box thinking and became really rigid without appreciating new ideas. "Your work would have got good appreciation if you were in Oxford or ivy league universities" were the words of a professor when asked why my topic is graded less. Overall its a nice experience made new friends, learned a new language, and travelled a lot. Career wise its not that great not actually added value to my profile except a huge education loan.
I think the staff shortages this year have affected every dept. I find it hard to get hold of staff in key buildings and have notices expenses for internships taking 4 weeks to reach me and internship payment itself was 2 weeks later than advised which brought me financial woes. The printers always seem to have probs or error codes when I want to use them but the teaching quality is excellent
Great World Leading university with all the best amenities, facilities and best Students Unions in UK and maybe in the world for the last few years. The uni also part of Russel Group means it is one of research-intensive university in the UK. All the staff and the people in Sheffield is friendly and you will get the support you need to have the best experience as student. Wellbeing of student and staff is also being supported. I'm an Erasmus Mundus Joints Masters Degree(EMJMD) in European Public Health and glad to choose to study here as my 1st year university.
A great place to study people are very friendly.
The learning atmosphere is good, the students are warm and friendly, the professor is patient and responsible, I need to clear my goals and keep working hard, accomplish a lot of things, enrich my life, become solid skills, enjoy life every day, and become a person who makes contributions to the society.
The school has a lot of useful information. But you need yo find it or ask staff by yourself.
A great place to study with a balance in social life and university experiences. The city is also very green in general being close to the peak districts as well as having almost every campus building next to different parks. I would say diversity wise the number of Asian students seems to outweigh home students so I believe it is diverse. The career service and jobshop is helpful in terms of part time or internships and even future career paths.
Sheffield is a quiet and cozy place for studying except the frequent strike decreasing teaching quality

Being a post-graduate student at University of Sheffield wasn't short of lovely memories and experiences that I had throughout my time that was spent here altogether. The university is a perfect blend of studies and social life. The courses offered by the university are all accredited by professional bodies as well the faculty who lead the students cohort are very knowledgeable. I wish I could go back in time and get to feel the presence of student community around me once again. I would definitely recommend upcoming students who are considering studies at any level to consider studying here as the uni has a range of courses available to choose from. Overall my personal experience was pretty good and worth every penny I spent towards my studies here.
A very beautiful uni of a good standard but as always a rip off for £9750
The University of Sheffield has made the transition into University easy. The student union provides all the services you could need, and there is a club or society for anything you could be interested in.
the buildings at university of sheffield are so amazing and differ from one place to another which i definitely love. the students union is especially great as it offers so many facilities, activities and shops/cafes so somewhere you can easy spend the whole day in! the location is amazing because it is away from town but still close enough. can’t imagine going to a better university

the teacher here is kind and the environment in Sheffield is good
The university could provide me with a range of support. My first impression came from the South East Asia university representative who helped me with my application document. Then, during the quarantine in 2021, the university could also support me (and other students) with financial support. Apart from that, the support for overseas/international students is also superb! I really impressed by the additional language courses they provided (and yes, they were all free!). The facilities were also excellent. I really love the libraries we had where they normally operated 24/7!

My experience for our university is overall very good. I am very happy that the university has lots of places to study and to hang out. The libraries are also very useful for me.

I love my experience at the university as it provides all the needs of a student academically or non-academically. So many facilities on campus and student help desks and career services are available. Lecturers and staff are very cooperative and professional.

The university's top-notch student support services are the first thing that come to my mind. Throughout my time at uni, I've had the chance to participate in a variety of activities. During group assignments and times when I had to meet deadlines, I found it helpful to reserve study spaces.

There’s loads of societies and clubs to choose from, guaranteed you’ll find something for you interests. Staff are friendly especially when it comes to careers, very supportive when it came to placement searches and grad jobs. It is a city uni so it is lectures can be a bit scattered but all the while you get to se a range of buildings and facilities, old and new.
Not bad as it is a top one hundred university.

The University of Sheffield is a good university and the Law school is also good.
I study EEE at the university. I regularly am in the Engineering buildings and was in the maths building for those classes. The diamond whilst may have some state of the art facilities eg clean room, however the maths department was not the nicest place to study and was always freezing. There are lots of clubs to join so people should be able to find something. The SU does put on weekly club nights and cinema viewings as well as having some very good outlets. However, in 2020 I feel it did nothing to stick up for students, our fees were not reduced as they should have been and they were more concerned about making themselves look good with excessive COVID precautions ie 5m apart plus masks and no heating so it was freezing. I think the SU ignores the needs of most people. I have never used the career service so I cannot comment. The WiFi however will drop out in certain building whilst studying.

I like the living environment here very much, especially the study area in public areas, which is very quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff are also very patient and have a good attitude.
It is very close to the school, living very comfortable, downstairs is the Chinese supermarket. The security guard at the front desk is very safe and patient, and the sister at the Chinese front desk is very kind and gentle

Love the Sheffield living environment. The lower prices are very attractive. Living is convenient, the campus is located in the city center, within walking distance.
It is a nice place to live and the staff is very nice and, also there are lots of people that I can play with, there are nice kitchen and common areas, I can study and play some games with my friends
