University has the best students union in the UK and it shows!
Amazing and spacious rooms with great contemporary interior design and friendly staff
The University of Sheffield has a city campus with a lot of beautiful, architectural buildings. The Students Union is one of the best from all the Universities.
Not great, rather disorganised. It's very hard to find any information/navigate the online platforms/do anything basically. Staff acts like they want to help but end up not knowing what to do or not doing anything. Very disappointing for this much money.

The uni is great! HOWEVER... I lived with a company called NOBLE DESIGN & BUILD, and it was the worst place ever! The building was full of people who definitely didn’t work or study, always blasting music and the entire building smelt of drugs! Things were never fixed, the lift was always out, fire alarms going off every other day, and they were REALLY loud, and worst of all, when I moved out they threatened to sue me because I didn’t feel safe enough to stay there any longer!!!
I lived at Portland Tower and loved being able to work in the amazing Diamond all the time!
One of the most underrated city in the UK. Excellent nightlife, lovely people, and a beautiful national park at your doorstep. The university offers a large variety of courses, with teaching from some of the world's top researchers, and access to world-class facilities. There is an array of great societies to chose from, and the student's union is one of the best, and nicest, in the UK. The student area is safe, lively, and has lots of great local pubs in and around the area. Didn't meet anyone at university who disliked Sheffield.
Great accommodation with the friendliest receptionists who are always available to help. The night owls are always open to converse and help as well. It is close to the university and the city centre. They made sure we were comfortable and safe during the lockdown. 100% would definitely recommend.

Downright awful from start to finish. I am Jewish. I faced anti-Semitic verbal abuse from day one. I was spat at for being Jewish. I had a Labour Party student activist shout at me, "Hitler was right about you Yids." He then did a Nazi salute. I had a ham sandwich thrown at me. I reported this and more racist abuse to my tutor. He just laughed. I took it higher. They did nothing. Sheffield University is a nest bed of socialist anti-Semitism. I am not the first Jew to suffer anti-Semitic abuse at Sheffield University. Sadly, I won't be the last. I would strongly advise all Jewish students to avoid Sheffield University like the plague. It is a grotesque, hideous university, run by leftist anti-Semites for leftist anti-Semites.
Love sheffield, truly amazing uni they genuinely cares about its students and their welfare!
Good university, and good staff
I never thought I could fall in love with a place as much as I have with Sheffield. I am currently in my second year and having the best time. The students union has the best nights out and its great because you see everyone you know. There's so many clubs and societies to get involved in and it really feels like one big community. I couldn't recommend Sheffield enough

First year student and really enjoying it so far! Student Union has honestly everything there from amazing food stops to an everything convenience store and just lots of social and quiet spaces! Great people here and thats what really makes the university, as well as great staff and support system available!

Great university with very helpful lecturers. The Diamond is a 24/7 building that allows us student to utilize and work on assignments. Classes may be scattered across the city and parts of the places requires walking uphills.

As for the class design , i really hope that our teacher could offer as much direct reading material link as possible, so that student can get rid of time wasting to do searching. save time to do more reading.
As for the one year stay in the University of Sheffield. I have learned a lot professional knowledge also got accustom to British culture, made some friends and been to some countries, those precious experience changed my way of thinking as well as my attitude towards the world, it seems that I become much more mature than before. All in all, the Master study in Sheffield Uni could be one of the best memories in my life.
Here you can find like-minded friends. There are plenty of extracurricular activities, as well as intense course assignments

I had a great year in sheffield.
There are some classes that designed not really well, I would say the tutorials should be helpful, however some of the tutors are not being as helpful as they suppose to be, so it really depends on the luck of having different tuor. Some class carries too much infomaiton of which the lecture are not sufficient for students to understand. despite the educationla detailed trials, everything is decent!
I think the most important offer is the career center
I spent great time here for study. Arts tower is the main place for courses. The environment and tutors are nice, I can also reheat my lunch in 11th and 16th floors with microwave ovens. The flat, libraries and teaching building are close, which is more accessible. Student Union is opposite to the Arts Tower. Thank you.

The ranking of the UoS is good and the professors and classmates are working hard. Most of time, the diamond always be crowded even though on the weekends.
internet is pretty slow at times but it's ok. Problems with funding in my department but that's a UK thing not just for this university.

The diamond is a great place to study. Sheffessions is the best Facebook page I’m on. Accommodation is great, halls are lovely. Nightlife is great and there’s loads of choice where to go. The city is great for food and shopping and everything you’d want. There’s loads of trees and parks and all that - it’s a beautiful city (the walk from Endcliffe to the uni is past some nice looking houses and just generally a pretty environment). Would recommend

A world-class university with nice campus and high reputation.
Awesome social life. There are lots of societies for whatever interest you have or culture you come from. The lecture theatres are well equipped and the labs have all the required facilities.
The only thing I want to mention is the computer systems and other service in the university are excellent.
